Oven Mitts

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Did you all enjoy that extra hour of sleep?

The sun is shining brightly here this morning but don't let that fool you!
It's quite cold out with a breeze!
I do believe that winter is trying to make it's mark around here.

Yesterday I had a Stamp Day w Friends.
We had a great time and made a bunch of cards!
Deb treated us to some yummy snacks!
I will share those cards with you this week.

Today I want to share a cute project that I seen on Kitchen Table Stampers page.
That lady always makes the neatest things for craft shows and one day I caught a video of her making Halloween Tags that she put on goodies for her craft show.
This tag was put on a large cello bag that inside was a Halloween oven mitt and a package of Betty Crocker cookies. I was so thrilled with it that I wanted to make my own!

I found the Fall Leaves oven mitts at the Dollar Tree.
I had to wash them before I put anything inside because they had a really odd smell.
I am guessing from the ink printed on the material.
I left them hang to dry for a week before I finished with the rest of my gift.
I then found wood spoons that the handle on them was the same color as my oven mitt!
WooHoo! That just made me smile!
Next I picked up some Betty Crocker cookie pouches and placed the spoon and cookie pouch inside my oven mitts. I have a slew of the 9 x 17 cello bags that Stampin Up had out a few years ago for wine bottles. I placed my oven mitt inside the cello bag and threw in some Fall colored Hershey Kisses.
Next I had to find a color that matched my oven mitt so I could create a tag for my bags.
Poppy Parade to the rescue! It was a perfect match!!!

First I cut a tag from the largest Stitched Nested Dies in Whisper White.
My tags were created using a retired bundle.
Vintage Leaves and Leaflet Framelits that were available a few years ago.
I loved using this set again!
My leaves were stamped in Poppy Parade, More Mustard, Soft Suede and Pumpkin Pie then diecut out and attached to my tag.
The sentiment comes from the Painted Harvest set which is my favorite set!
I diecut them with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Oval Layering Framelits then added a few Metallic Gold Pearls.
I lastly closed my cello bags up with some Poppy Parade Textured Ribbon and added my tags with some Whisper White Twine.

I was so pleased with them and gave them to my stamp girls yesterday at our stamp day!
They loved them!
I also made one for Kelsey!

Terracotta Tile Sunflowers

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Boy, wasn't yesterday a hot & humid day?
We hit 93 degrees for the 2nd day of October!
Today is another story....our temps dropped 30 degrees since a cold front came thru and it's to be dreary & rainy all day. More like Fall weather and I know we really need some rain!

Today I have a set of sympathy cards to share that was part of last week's card order.
These use a new In Color this year....Terracotta Tile!

At first I was not a fan of this color but after using it for the first time on this set of cards, I was pleasantly surprised! It's not nearly as dark as I expected it to be!
I inked my flower from the Painted Harvest set in Terracotta Tile ink and the center was done with Soft Suede. My sentiment is from the retired Rose Wonder stamp set.

Card Details:

Stamps: Painted Harvest, Rose Wonder (retired)
Ink: Terracotta Tile, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Terracotta Tile, Whisper White, Terracotta Tile DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Stitched Nested Dies, Terracotta Tile Faceted Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was really taken with this set of cards and so was my customer!
Painted Harvest is my favorite stamp set!
It can be used in almost any color!

Painted Harvest

Hello & Happy Labor Day!

It's the 1st Monday of September but sorta feels like a Sunday!
It rained this morning and they are calling for more as the day goes on.
It's humid but almost feels like a touch of Fall in the air.
We've been watching the Hurricane stuff all weekend. The Bahama's have gotten hit very hard.
I said before that the Bahama's are heaven on earth...one of my most favorite places i've ever been.
They are now changed forever with this category 5 hurricane. So very sad and I pray that the people in Florida, Georgia and the Carolina's are taking the advisories and evacuations seriously!
Mother Nature is nothing to mess with!

Today I have a card to share from my Stamp Day w Friends.
It was a favorite!

This card is not my design and was cased from Bonnie O'Neill.
It is so pretty and I wanted to share this with the girls!
Painted Harvest is my most favorite stamp set, ever!

Card Details:

Stamps: Painted Harvest, Sorry For Everything
Ink: Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip (retired), Old Olive, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip (retired), Whisper White, Wood Textures DSP (retired)
Accessories: Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

A quick & easy card to create and I especially love those beautiful flowers!

Y'all know it's my favorite set....EVER!
I pulled it out to play along with this weeks Paper Players Challenge!
Anne Marie has issued a color challenge and I was happy to play along...

This color challenge gives my flowers a whole different look than Fall flowers that you typically see made with this set. I love the fresh summery color combo of this!

Cardstock: Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Whisper White, Highland Heather DSP (retired)

Vintage Leaves

Hello & Happy Thursday!

My hubby is officially on vacation now until after Thanksgiving!
Work has been really stressful so this is a much welcomed time off for him.
Each day we are going to be doing some fun little trips to some antique stores and getting some Christmas shopping started.
Today, however, we will be staying home as we are getting some bad weather.
Rain, ice & snow are in the forecast. Schools have already closed.
Not sure what I will do today....maybe pull out all my Christmas decorations and start that or maybe just alittle stamping. It may even be a PJ day!

I have another card to share with you from my Stamp Day with Friends.
This card uses the retired Vintage Leaves set and a sentiment from Painted Harvest.

This one was alittle bit tricky with lining up the leaves so they all fit on the card but the ladies did very well with it!
The Linen Thread was wrapped around 3 times and taped to the back of the Blackberry Bliss layer. Then with a smaller piece of Linen Thread we tied a bow around our 3 layers of Linen Thread we wrapped abound the card.

Card Details:

Stamps: Vintage Leaves (retired), Painted Harvest (sentiment)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Blackberry Bliss
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Banner Punch (retired), Linen Thread, Gold Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The ladies did beautifully with this card!
Another favorite with those colorful leaves!

My thoughts today...

It's crazy to think that this year is almost over.
Halfway thru November and less than 6 weeks away until Christmas!
*sigh*

That is all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your day!

Painted Harvest For You

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today I am going to try to get some housework accomplished.
Shawn is back to work so I need to get this place straightened up!
It is also back to being humid again. Blah! But, thankfully it is not to last.
My ac is on low just so I don't sweat too much! Haha!

Yesterday we ran to Ryan's doctor office to pick up some antacids that he wants him to try.
He kindly gave him a 30 day supply and as I was checking them out I saw on top of the box....Made in Japan! What is up with that?!!
Yesterday he slept until 3:30 in the afternoon. Well over 12 hours but I knew he needed it!
He took his first pill before he ate supper. So far so good!

So, today I have a card to share that we made at the last girls stamp get together.
Y'all know how much I love that Painted Harvest stamp set!

I was so pleased with this card and how beautiful the inside is as well!
I usually forget to stamp on the inside other than the sentiment but I have been trying to do this more. Do you pretty up the insides of your cards?

Card Details:

Stamps: Painted Harvest, Cake Soiree (sentiments inside & out)
Ink: Crushed Curry, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Early Espresso DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Dimesionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm sure this won't be the last Painted Harvest card you will see!
I really LOVE this set!

Painted Harvest

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Up early this morning to run a few errands then tackle reorganizing the storage room in the basement. With all the boxes/totes full of Ceramic Christmas Trees we really need to get things better organized and just straightened up. We usually try to do this every Fall/Winter. Shawn also needs to look at the one sump pump down there. Something odd going on with it.

Last night was my stamp get together with friends.
We had such a great time and they all loved the cards I created for it and that always makes me happy to hear! Miss Emily said she could not pick a favorite because she loved them all!!
We are going to try to get together again on October 6th for World Cardmaking Day and do some Halloween projects! Can't believe we are talking about October already!!!!

Today I am sharing one of the cards I created for our get together using the VERY loved Painted Harvest set.

I am thinking of seriously buying another Painted Harvest set before it would ever retire just so I have a backup! My set has been used SO much in the last year that the stamps do not want to stick to the acrylic blocks anymore. They say a bath in hot soapy water would remedy that issue but I have not tried yet. If you have any suggestions let me know.

Card Details:

Stamps: Painted Harvest, Itty Bitty Greetings, Stitched All Around
Ink: Fresh Fig, Crushed Curry
Cardstock: Fresh Fig, Crushed Curry, Whisper White
Accessories: Stitched Labels Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Basket Weave EF, Classic Label Punch, Fresh Fig 1/8 Ribbon, Crushed Curry Enamel Dot, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I wanted something with a Fall feel to it and I think the color combo of Fresh Fig & Crushed Curry nailed it. The Basket Weave EF just adds so much texture to this.
Definitely one of my favorite cards too!

Here is a Letter Board I have hanging in my stamp room above my light box.
I picked it up at Goodwill over the summer for $3.00...Brand New!
It serves me well and keeps me reminded of when I have a class with friends!

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today I have a pretty card to share made using the Painted Harvest stamp set.
As you know this is one of my most favorite stamp sets, ever!
I also used a new set called Itty Bitty Greetings which replaced the Teeny Tiny Wishes set that retired in May.

This set could easily be used for any occasion.
I pulled out some pretty colors for this.
Flirty Flamingo & Granny Apple Green!
Aren't they pretty together?

Card Details:

Stamps: Painted Harvest, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green
Cardstock: Flirty Flamingo. Whisper White, Brights DSP

It's always good to keep sympathy cards on hand for when you need them.

Painted Harvest

Hello & Happy Monday!

Phew, hope your all surviving this heat & humidity!
It's rather disgusting and I feel so badly for anyone who has to work in it!
My AC is barely keeping up. It is set on 64 which is the lowest temperature and my room temperature is 80! You know it's really hot when it gets like that!

Today is my cleaning day so before I get started on that I wanted to share a card I made yesterday.
I sat and stamped for about 3 hours yesterday afternoon while Shawn watched a movie.
I pulled out my VERY loved Painted Harvest.
I had a vision to stamp it in Poppy Parade.....

With Soft Suede!
Oh, how pretty!!
Have I said how much I LOVE this set?!
It is most definitely my favorite!

Card Details:

Stamps: Painted Harvest, Postcard Pals (sentiment)
Ink: Poppy Parade, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Soft Suede, Whisper White, Poppy Parade DSP
Accessories: Classic Label Punch, Poppy Parade Striped Ribbon, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your staying warm where you are!
We are not expected to get out of the 20's today here in PA.
Coldest air so far this season and winter has not officially arrived yet!

Today I have a set of cards that was part of the huge order I worked on last week.
My customer wanted something made for birthdays for the month of December and wanted them to be festive. I hope I accomplished that with these.

I've definitely got my money's worth from the Painted Harvest set this season!
It's a fun set and could be used any time of year!

Painted Harvest HB Card Set:

Stamps: Painted Harvest, Happy Birthday, Gorgeous (saying)
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Real Red, Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Christmas Around the World DSP

I love that plaid paper in this certain pack of DSP!

Cookie Totes

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I have another treat to share today that I made for the Christmas holiday!
I found this on You Tube made by Kitchen Table Stamper and cased the idea because I thought it was brilliant! She took a package of Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies and made a tote to hold them. I thought these were definitely something different and who doesn't love Milano Cookies?!

And not only that it gave me a chance to use that beautiful wreath from the Painted Harvest stamp set! Definitely is my favorite stamp set! I used a plaid paper from the Christmas Around the World DSP from the Holiday Mini Catalog on these. I am crazy about plaids!

I also found the tub of Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies at Sam's Club for a great price!
20 packs for around $6.

Cookie Totes:

Stamps: Painted Harvest, Merry Patterns (sentiment)
Ink: Garden Green, Wild Wasabi, Basic Black
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Christmas Around the World DSP
Accessories: Mini Treat Bag Framelits (diecut bow), Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits,  Large Oval Punch (for the handles), Classic Label Punch, Garden Green 3/8 Satin Ribbon, Glue Dots, Rhinestones, Dimenionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Thank you, Kitchen Table Stamper for sharing this fun idea!
I got another order for 6 of these to work on this week.
After that I plan on getting some cookies baked and enjoying the holiday!
It's the most wonderful time of the year!
