Gift Card/ Money Holders

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope your weekend was a nice one!

Today I am making a tray of deviled eggs and cutting up a cheese & bologna tray to snack on this evening. Shawn is putting a small piece of brisket in the smoker for sandwiches.
Going to go visit some friends later this evening and then back home to get things ready for our Christmas dinner tomorrow.

We popped out to a local antique store yesterday.
I spotted a very small ceramic Christmas tree in the window, so I was going to rescue it.
It was way more than I wanted to pay for it so I ended up buying a piano bench instead.
It was in excellent shape and had storage under the seat.
I know your probably asking.....why a piano bench?
Right now it is in my living room with a Christmas tree sitting on it!
It looks so good! I actually was going to put a couple small ceramic trees on it but I really missed not putting an actual tree up this year...SO, I went to my storage room and got my little tree out.
I got it all finished within about an hour.
I feel so much better now having a tree up (besides all my ceramic trees)!
The Christmas festivities can now start! LOL

I am sharing the rest of the gift card holders that I made.
These were made for family & friends....
Take a look!

This one uses a retired set called Merry Little Labels from last year.
The DSP is from 2011 called Jolly Holiday.

This one uses the Buffalo Check Background stamp and I paired that with a saying from the Takeout Treats. Both stamps are from the 2018 Holiday Mini Catalog.

This card uses the Candy Cane Season set with matching Candy Cane Builder Punch.
The plaid paper is from the Under the Mistletoe DSP from the SU Annual Catalog.
I love anything plaid!

This one uses the Dashing Deer Bundle.
Sorry the Silver Foil Deer got washed out.
The DSP is from the Festive Farmhouse Suite.

The next 2 cards use the Nothing Sweeter Bundle.
I was late to the party on ordering this bundle!
It is also from the SU Holiday Mini Catalog.
The paper is from the Festive Farmhouse DSP.

This last one uses the Snowflake Sentiment stamp set from last year but it is still available in our SU Annual Catalog. The saying is from a set in the SU Holiday Mini Catalog called Merry Christmas to All. The silver Snowflake Trinket came from the Snowflake Showcase Suite that is no longer available.

These are fun to make and a great way to gift money or a gift card in!

I hope you enjoyed seeing all the gift card holders I made this year!
These are very easy, too! I guess that's why I continue to use this same style every year!

That is all for now!
I will be back tomorrow with pictures of my ceramic Christmas trees!
Hope you can find a few minutes to stop by!

Have a wonderful Christmas Eve, my stamp friends!

Gift Card Holders

Hello & Happy Saturday!

The last few days I have been resting my hands.
I know I have carpal tunnel in both hands but I am also starting to get joint pain in my fingers which is probably a sign that I am developing Psoriatic Arthritis in them. Since I have already been diagnosed with Psoriasis it's more than likely the start of it.
My customer called me yesterday and left me a message asking for more cards.
As much as I hate to say no....I really think I need to take a break from crafting so I can let my hands rest. I will get back to my stamping eventually but right now I need to lay low.
I 'm sure she will understand.

Anyways, today my hubby & I are going to head out for a couple quick errands.
Traffic has been crazy so I try to stay put at home as much as possible.
Football is on primetime this evening and of course we will be rooting for our Baltimore Ravens! Woot Woot!

Today I am going to share all 11 gift card holders that my customer requested for Christmas.
I made them all different using a variety of stamps, papers & ink!
Check them out....

This is a template that I got from Splitcoaststampers years ago and this is how I always make my gift cards! They are SO easy...nothing difficult about it! Well, sometimes decorating it is the toughest part! LOL

I made a bunch more for Ryan & myself for Christmas.
I said I was not buying gifts this year...so it's money & gift cards!
That makes life easier for everyone!

I will share those gift cards in a few days!

Flap Fold Card

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Our weather today is not going to be really nice.
Rain & Freezing Rain is in the forecast.
It may be another pj day around here!
We have been out running around almost everyday that Shawn has been on vacation so a few days of lounging around will be good for him before heading back to work on Monday.
I'm sure he is not looking forward to it.

So, now that Thanksgiving has past we are in full on Christmas mode!
I love Christmas!
I have a huge Christmas card order that I got to get started on.
I made this pack about 2 weeks ago and thought i'd share them with you and see what you thought of them. Take a look....

I made a card like this over the summer called a Flap Fold Card.
I wanted to create something to make for my stamp day with friends but I already had so many cards ready so I decided to make up a pack and see if my customer would like these.
I had a gold sprig on it using the Sprig Punch and ended up taking it off.
I did not want to bulk up my card so it wouldn't cost more to mail.

Card Details:

Stamps: Snowflake Sentiment
Ink: Versamark
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, All Is Bright DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Gold Embossing Powder, Gold Cord (retired), Gold Metallic Enamel Dots (retired), Heat Gun, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These cards are so neat to create and I like how it shows off to different sides of paper!

Painted Harvest Wreath

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Can you believe that today is the last day of November?!
Where has the time gone??

Today I am sharing the last Christmas card that the girls made 2 weeks ago.
I used the Painted Harvest set to create a wreath in Wild Wasabi & Garden Green.

I've seen so many versions for this wreath and was so excited to be able to create one too!
The berries are done with the little dots that are in the stamp set,

Merry Christmas Card:

Stamps: Painted Harvest, Snowflake Sentiment
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Real Red
Cardstock: Garden Green, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Real Red Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It seems a bit plain but I wanted to keep it simple for the girls and they actually did a great job with making theirs! I have another get together next week with them in which we will be doing lots of embossing! Stay tuned!

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Friday!!!

The cold has started here in PA and we have prepared to hibernate this weekend!

I have a card to share today that I made for this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches.
I thought it would be a little more difficult than it turned out to be and I am happy with this one!

Here is this week's sketch and my card.....

I decided to make something for Christmas (yea!!) and so I pulled out my Snowflake Sentiment Bundle. I know I have used the stamp set before but I have not touched the Swirly Snowflake Thinlits until today. I went with monochromatic colors to keep this easy and i'm thrilled with the outcome! I did run into a problem when it came to the swirly stitching at the top of the sketch but I looked thru my stuff and found my Paper Piercing Essentials Kit that had some design close to the sketch and that did make it easy!

Merry Christmas Card:

Stamps: Snowflake Sentiments
Ink: Marina Mist
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Whisper White
Accessories: Swirly Snowflake Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Paper Piercing Essentials Kit, Silver Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Stop over at the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and check them out!
I love their sketches!

Season's Greetings Card Set

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

Our weather here in PA was very nice but I have to say that I feel bad for those folks down in Texas dealing with all that rain & flooding.

We made our way home from Baltimore Saturday night around midnight. It was quite an experience going to see an actual football game and as much as I enjoyed it I do not think I would go again. We drove to Hunt Valley, MD and hopped on the Maryland Lightrail which takes you directly to the M&T Bank Stadium and many other places too. The football game was good but it was hard to focus on it with so much going on around you. We sat 12 rows from the bottom which was fantastic....you could see everything! For me personally, i'd rather sit in my own home and watch. You will know more of what's happening. The Ravens won against the Buffalo Bills 13-9. WooHoo!

So, today is my cleaning day and before I head off to get started on that I wanted to share a set of cards I whipped up for Christmas.

This patterned snowflake paper I picked up at the Flower & Craft Warehouse a few weeks ago. It's such a pretty purple paper with silver foil snowflakes in it! I thought it went great with the Snowflake Sentiment stamp set!

Season's Greetings Card Set:

Stamps: Snowflake Sentiment
Ink: Versamark
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Silver Foil Paper, Kaisercraft
Accessories: Heatgun, Silver Embossing Powder, Silver Trim Ribbon, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope to get back to get more of this paper, eventually!
It makes pretty cards!

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Friday!

Today I have a pretty Christmas card to share that I made for this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches.
It uses new product from the Stampin Up Holiday Catalog that will be available next Friday, Sept 1st.

Here is the sketch and my card...

This sentiment comes from the Snowflake Sentiment stamp set that is new! I embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder and then added a gold button with a gold twine bow & gold metallic enamel dots!
The gold snowflake behind the sentiment in new as well. They are the Foil Snowflakes that are amazing and I can tell you that I will be using them alot this holiday season!

The gold polka dot background paper is from the retired Pop of Pink Specialty DSP that was in last year's Annual Catalog and if I remember correctly it is now on the Clearance Rack for a low price! I have found myself using that pack of paper alot recently.

This card is all about gold!

Merry Christmas Card:

Stamps: Snowflake Sentiment
Ink: Versamark
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Gold Foil, Pop of Pink Specialty DSP (retired)
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder, Foil Snowflake, Gold Button, Gold Twine, Heat Gun, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hope you will pop over to the Tuesday Morning Sketches and check them out!
They have a great sketch each week!
