Ryan HB Card

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday we celebrated Ryan's 33rd birthday!

It was a rather low keyed day as he did not ask for anything special.

We did however get him an ice cream cake which he rather enjoyed!

I also whipped him up a quick birthday gift card holder and added some cash.

Shawn got him a pair of heated socks since his feet are always cold.

He tried those socks out as soon as he opened them and I wish you could have seen the smile on his face! He loved them!

This is the gift card I made him...

Everything is retired and i'm happy to use it!

I used the same layout that I have been using on those Christmas Gift Card Holders.

So easy and I like that they aren't too bulky!

Instead of adding a gift card, I added cash so he can get what he wants!

Balloon Adventures

Today is August 1st!

Summer is flying by! (just not quick enough for me!)

I got a call from my customer asking for some cards!

She asked for a pack of cards with balloons on and more on the masculine side.

I went thru some old stuff and pulled out the Balloon Adventures set along with Party Animal DSP.

These colors were fun to play with!

Pacific Point, Crushed Curry & Emerald Envy look amazing together and I hope they will pass for masculine cards!

Stamp Day Cards

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your all having a nice weekend!

I'm updating a bit late today! I had my friends over yesterday afternoon to have a Girls Day of making cards & chatting. It's always great spending time with them!

Today I am sharing a couple cards we made yesterday...

Altogether we made 7 cards which were simple cards even though they are experienced stampers. I will share the rest later this week. I had everything cut and prepared for them. All they had to do was stamp and adhere everything together. We will be getting together again in 2 weeks and i'm not sure about them but I had a great time!

My thoughts today....

Yesterday my hubby woke up to what he thinks is a diverticulitis flare up.

He's not running a fever or nauseated but he is having abdominal pain & tenderness. He quickly started taking in liquids and stopped food even though he says he's starving.

He put a note into his primary care doctor to see what he should do next. 

In the meantime he is resting & watching his Baltimore Ravens. Also yelling at the tv! LOL

I will keep you updated as we know more!

Pretty Kitty HB

My customer asked for a birthday card with a cat on it.

I pulled out some retired Cheerful Treat DSP from SaleABration 2011 and a current stamp set called Pretty Kitty.

This is what I made.

Since I am not good with coloring I just stamped my image in a solid color and left it at that.

Today is my Buppie's birthday!

I'm sure he wishes he had the day off to celebrate but tomorrow he did put in for a vacation day!

Maybe we can get out for a bike ride on the Rail Trail and i'd like to take him out for a nice dinner to celebrate!

Anyways, my friend, Mary Anne recently posted a card done with a diecut of a bike and I LOVED it!

She happily sent me a few and I was so thrilled to use it to make Shawn's birthday card!!!

Drapery Fold HB

Not much going on here at the Aungst Pad this weekend since Shawn is working today.

I plan on doing some crafting and hopefully finish up my Easter treats for my customers.

Anyways, here is a card I sat down to learn how to make the other day!

I found a tutorial on Pinterest to make it. So fun and quite easy too!

Tornado & HB Cards

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Here in south central PA we had a bit of excitement with a powerful cold front that came thru Saturday afternoon. My older brother lives in Wrightsville, PA. It was determined yesterday that an EF-1 tornado came thru causing much damage around town. 

Here is a picture of my brother's house.

This picture was on the local news & newspaper yesterday.

The neighbors tree fell on my sister in laws car and also did damage to their house.

Thankfully, they are ok but i'm sure pretty shaken up!

I use to live right down the street from my brother before we sold our house & moved to Missouri in 2010. There was quite a bit of damage in the neighborhood and most are without power. 

After living a year in the midwest and witnessing the aftermath of the EF-5 tornado that went thru  Joplin, Missouri that spring...you just can't wrap your head around it. 

Sending my heartfelt thoughts & prayers to everyone affected by this storm...

Anyways, I have 2 quick cards to share today that I whipped up last week.

I just love this Balloon Adventure bundle!

The only stamping on these is the sentiment. 

The DSP does most of the work which I love!

It's Your Birthday!

It's looking like a really nice day here in PA!

Temps are suppose to get close to 70 degrees which is normally unheard of in February!

I have a birthday card to share today that was so easy to create!

My strips of paper were 1 inch wide and adhered on an angle then the ends were snipped off.

I have been finding that I use the Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue for almost all my stamping anymore. Once in awhile I will reach for the 2 Sided Tape.

 What is your "go to" adhesive??

Fun Happy Birthday Card

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Boy, what a gorgeous weekend!

We hit 69 degrees yesterday and I spent the whole day inside crafting!

Not what I wanted to do but since hubby worked all day...a walk just wasn't in the plans.

I was able to make a nice supper for us and get a few cards made. I also spent some time going over my card rack to see what type of cards were needed. Masculine, Get Well & Baby cards are on the list.

The card I have to share today is one I have been meaning to make for awhile. My friend, Carol, makes such fabulous herringbone technique cards and since my afternoon was wide open.....I tried my hand at it! 

The day wasn't a total waste afterall.

So, I had this vision of using the Party Animal DSP for my herringbone because it's quite colorful and I wanted to use this set called Balloon Adventures. There are some really great sayings in the set (just sayin')! I cut my strips at a 1/2 inch and went from there. Not sure if I did it correctly but i'm happy with how it turned out.

I watched her video tutorial and decided to make one to send my older brother who's birthday was in January but I was too preoccupied with Shawn to get one made and sent.
