Covered Notepads

Hello & Happy Sunday!

A cool and windy day is on tap here. Big change from yesterday!
Going to be a down day here. Yesterday we did alot, even got the AC's put back in for the big warm up that's to come this week. Kelsey & Shady are to come to visit this afternoon so Shady can play in the yard with Gigi & Bailee.

Today I have 2 more covered notepads to share.
These were made last week one day as I was trying to use up a few notepads I had lying around.

This notepad was made using many different things. Cardstock colors are Marina Mist & Soft Sky. The patterned paper is Crate Paper. The doily is Martha Stewart. Sentiment is one I picked up a
long time ago at AC Moore and there is no sticker on it.
I really like the pretty colors of this one!

This notepad was made with Stampin Up's Tutti Fruitti DSP. The sentiment is from the Waterfront stamp set. The diecut leaf and piece under the sentiment are from the Flourish Thinlits. Lastly I added some clear rhinestones and a Real Red Taffeta bow.

I still have 2 more notepads on my shelf in my stamp room that I will fancy up soon!

That's all for now!

Covered Notepads

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your all having a good week!

My project I have to share today is a couple of notepads that I had in my stash that I added some cardstock & pretty papers to boot!

I covered my 5 X 8 inch sized notepad with Sweet Sugarplum cardstock and added some very pretty Petal Garden DSP to it. My sentiment comes from the Colorful Seasons stamp set. The RSVP Pen also has some of the same DSP in the barrel.

This notepad is covered with one of my favorite SaleABration papers this year called Bubbles & Fizz! Love, love, love every design & print in the pack! I have 3 packs of this so it should last me a long while! LOL My sentiment comes from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and again I used a piece of the same DSP in the barrel of the pen.

I have a few more notepads lying around that I want to get used up. I had a friend ask about notebooks and actually had none made up except holiday ones. I will get the rest all prettied up so the next time I see her I will have plenty on hand! These do make a nice gift, too!

My thoughts today....

I know I have been MIA the last several weeks.
Seems my mojo has left the building or I could easily blame it on our weather.

I will say that I am SO excited for the new Stampin Up Annual Catalog to go live on June 1st!
There has been a color change up to our basic color groups plus we have some gorgeous new In Colors coming in!  I have taken time to clean out all the retired stuff to make room for the new goodies and then did some rearranging of my stamp room. It was time to purge alot of my leftover craft show stuff, too! Since I no longer do craft shows it was time to get rid of what was leftover taking up space. I think I am now ready for all the new goodies that are to come!

So, that is all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a great day!

Covered Notepad

Hello & Happy Thursday!

My project today is a Covered Notepad.
I haven't made one of these in quite awhile so I felt it was time.

The paper is from Whole Lot of Lovely DSP from the new Stampin Up! catalog.
This sheet has some pretty flowers on it so I did not want to cover too much of it up.

Covered Notepad:

Stamps: Flourishing Phrases
Ink: Basic Black, Peekaboo Peach (inside)
Cardstock: Basic Black, Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party, Whisper White, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP
Accessories: Flourish Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Pool Party Glitter Ribbon, White Pearl, Glue Dot, Mini Dimensional, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My RSVP Pen also has a 3/4 X 3 1/4 piece of dsp in the barrel of it.
These Covered Notepads with matching pen make a nice gift!

My thoughts today.....

Amen to that!

Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a wonderful day!

Breast Cancer Covered Notebooks

Good Morning & Happy Sunday!

It's shaping up to be a beautiful Sunday here in PA! Today we are heading to Kirsten's for a birthday dinner for my mom since her birthday was this past Thursday. Yesterday, I popped out and picked up a cake for today's get together so all I have to do yet is get myself ready. The card, gift & cake are all ready to go!

So before I head out today I wanted to share a few notebooks I worked on the other day. I'm getting these ready for craft show season which is a few months off yet but every little bit helps!

I put these together using some papers from American Crafts and a pack of Jolee's Stickers. The little pink ribbons on the small covered composition books came from Hobby Lobby in a pack of maybe 20. One of my stamp girls is a breast cancer survivor so i'm sure she is going to love these! Back at Christmas time I made her a pack of covered tissues that had the breast cancer ribbon on it and she LOVED it! These were so fun to make and I hope eventually I can find some other colored ribbons that represent the different cancers our world is plagued with. I myself would love one of these with a teal ribbon on for ovarian cancer.

Well, that is all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Decorative Window Boxes

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I think Spring is finally arriving here in south central Pennsylvania! The spring flowers are pushing up thru the ground and the birds are singing outside my bedroom window in the mornings. I know we have some rain coming the next few days but that's so much better than snow! The saying goes "April showers bring May flowers"! :)

Today i'm sharing some Easter/Spring gifts I made this year. I made one of these back at Valentine's Day (can be seen here) but I did not give it away. It sits on my stamp shelf with my Valentine's Day stamp sets. I cased myself and did these for Easter/Spring.

I took a Decorative Window Box and cut the one end off but made sure I glued the rest of the box together and added a Scalloped Ribbon Punch handle and some DSP to sturdy it up. Inside I added some shred paper that I picked up at my local Dollar Tree Store. I added a Medium Cello Bag filled with different Easter Candies and tied it shut with some Daffodil Delight Grosgrain Ribbon. I took a small Composition Notebook that I also picked up at my local Dollar Tree Store and covered it with the same matching DSP that I used on the box. I decorated that with some flowers from the Flower Shop stamp set. I stamped my flowers in Daffodil Delight & Calypso Coral. I took an RSVP Pen and slide some DSP into the barrel to match. I added all these to my adorable little box and decorated the front. These turned out to be a great seller for me this year! I really like them!

These 2 boxes here were from a specific order I had to add matching gift cards to the box sets. I did notice I forgot to take pictures of the covered notebook and pen before I delivered them to my customer. They are basically the same with the Flower Shop flowers stamped & punched out like the boxes above. I sold the boxes for $6.00 each and the matching gift cards for $2.00 each.

I'm now out of the Decorative Window Boxes so they will be added to my next Stampin Up order!
Hope you liked seeing these. If you have any questions please feel free to shoot me an email.

Well, that's all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Notepads Galore!

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Christmas is getting closer & closer!

My husband asked me what I would like for Christmas and I told him nothing several times. I just cannot think of anything that I want or need. I'm not much of a jewelry person and I definitely don't want anything for the kitchen since I don't like to cook! LOL I'm just happy to have my entire family here with us on Christmas Day! I could really do with out all the holiday hoopla of gift giving. To be able to spend the holiday with my family is most important because I know one day my parents wont be here so I try to make the most of things while they are still here with us! :)

So, today I am sharing a bunch of my covered notepads. I use to make the covered tablets but I have been unable to find the spiral bound tablets at Michael's the last few years. Not sure why they do not carry them anymore. I moved on to purchasing a pack of notepads at Sam's Club. 24 for $5.95. I cover them and have a matching pen to go with. These were not a big seller for me this year. Not sure why as they are cute as a button! I have a bunch leftover....

Let me know what you think??

I personally think they are so pretty!
I also made up a bunch of the long skinny notepads that can be used for grocery shopping. I'm not sure if I have any pictures of them but I did sell out of them. If I find pictures I will share them here!

Here are the directions for making the Covered Notepads:

Covered Notepads:

I used a pack of notepads purchased from Sam’s Club and they are sized 5 X 8. Sam’s Club sells them 24 in a pack for under $6. Depending on the size of the notepads you will have to adjust the size of your cardstock. This recipe is for the 5 X 8 notepads.

Cut cardstock at 10 3/4 X 8 1/4. Score at 5 1/4 and 5 1/2.  I decorate the top part of the notepad with matching DSP before attaching it to the inside of the cardstock. I also add a piece of DSP inside the barrel a Pentel RSVP Pen.
Measurement for DSP on the top of the notepad is 5 X 2 1/2.

Measurement for DSP for inside the pen is 3/4 X 3 1/4.

Well, that is all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
Happy Holidays to you & yours!

Covered Notepads

Hello & Happy Friday!!!

Lots of fun things are coming to life this week from off my stamp table! Feels great to be back at crafting a bit each day! Today I am sharing a few Covered Notepads that I made up. I did a bunch in the beginning of summer but they have since all sold and I try to keep some in my stash for when occasions arise that someone needs a few.

I am trying really hard to use up ALL the designer paper I have. I have so much! These Covered Notepads use a nice size piece and then some on the notepad at the top. I love them all!! This last one with the striped Tangerine Tango was intended to be a Halloween one but my mind went off in a different direction when I went to decorate it. I have already done a few for Christmas since I am participating in a craft show at the famous John Wright in Wrightsville, PA. the Saturday after Thanksgiving for Small Business Saturday. I'm excited! I have been working hard to get prepared for Halloween & Christmas. I'm sure as the weeks go on and we get closer to the holidays that I will have more things to share with you so try to stop by everynow & then!

Well, more crafting is to be done today! The skies are looking pretty dreary here in PA today so I am going to head to my stamp table and get to it!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
