Haunted House & Bats

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday was a busy day!
Shawn had his appointment with the Orthopedic doctor. Turns out he may possibly have an MCL tear. He is waiting to get an MRI scheduled because that won't show on a regular x-ray. For now the doctor gave him a knee brace to help keep his knee in line and he is to rest it and take Advil but because of his Diverticulitis he can not take Advil and Tylenol certainly isn't going to touch his pain. Depending on the level of tear he may need surgery. I will keep you posted.
After his appointment I had an appointment for a haircut then we picked Kelsey up and ran to Lancaster to do some shopping. I wanted something Halloween for on my hutch in the kitchen and found the cutest little vampire trick or treater!

So, today I have a set of Halloween cards and if your keeping track this is set #14. I found in my stash a haunted house and the stamp is from Stamp Oasis that I have had for quite some time. It's never seen ink so it was way past time to use it! I put the stamp in my Stamparatus and got to work. I paired it with some paper from the Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby!

This set is more on the spooky side but still rather cute.
My sentiment is an old Michael's $1 stamp from years ago.

Card Details:

Stamps: Haunted House w/Bats Stamp Oasis, Michael's $1 Stamps
Ink: Basic Black Archival (retired), Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Basic White, The Paper Studio
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Corner Rounder Punch (retired), Sparkle Gems, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Today will be another busy day as I have some cleaning to do.
I know I won't get it all done today but tomorrow is another day! Sometimes I sure wish I had a cleaning fairy! LOL

How are you doing with making your Halloween cards?

3 x 6 Gusseted Cello Bag Treats

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
It got pretty cold here this past weekend and we even had some snow! Not much but enough to cover the ground yesterday morning! It's also very windy! A hang on to everything kind of day!

Anyways, before my day gets away of me I wanted to share some candy treats that I made for turkey day!
These are easy peasy with the 3 x 6 Gusseted Cello Bags that Stampin Up is carrying this year.
Take a look...

These were quite simple to whip up using a piece of dsp measuring 2 3/4 x 9.
Then score at 1, 3 and 7 1/2.

The dsp slides down inside the cello bag and will hold the candy treat nicely while letting the bag stand. I added my Circle and Scallop Circle with the sentiment on it with dimensionals. Just have to make sure you have the dimensionals up far enough that they don't stick on the bag. Then I added a gold clip from Michael's to the top to keep my bag closed.

Happy Thanksgiving Cello Treat Bag:

Stamps: Sentiment is an old Michael's $1 Bin Stamp
Ink: Early Espresso, Tangelo Twist
Cardstock: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Tangelo Twist, Into the Woods DSP
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, 3 x 6 Gusseted Cello Bags, Leaf Button, Gold Clips from Michael's, Early Espresso Stitched Ribbon, Tangelo Twist Thick Twine, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These were filled with Twix, Kit Kats and Reese's PB Cups!

If your looking for something quick & easy to whip up......these are it!
I will be doing these for Christmas too! SO fun!

No thoughts today....just a picture!

I am preparing today for our Thanksgiving!
Heading to the kitchen shortly to get my Pumpkin Rolls & a Pumpkin Pie made!
I just hope no one gets hungry for them till Thursday gets here! hehe!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Halloween Tissues

Hello & Happy Thursday!

A rainy day here in PA today. Since Kelsey had planned to cook supper tonight, I knew I had the day to play in my stamp room and I knew exactly what I was going to make!

Last week on a quick trip to Walmart I found these cute soft tissue packs that are called Swankies and they were done in Halloween colors. Of course I walked away and I thought to myself....what could I do with them? Then I remembered seeing soft pack tissues decorated for different occasions or holidays so I turned around and picked up a bunch! I hope you like them....

I LOVE them! I tried to match up colors of papers to the colors on the Swankies. Then decorating them was just a blast! My kind of fun!

I used a variety of different papers, stamps & ribbon on these. I'm not going to type all that out but if you need to know please shoot me an email.

ETA: Directions for the Soft Pack Tissue Box:

Measure designer paper at 5 X 6 3/4
On long side score at 2,3,5 & 6
Short Side score at 1
Cut the 1 in side to make flaps then glue together.
Use 1 inch Circle Punch to make notch at top of box and decorate.
This is the link that I found the directions & a tutorial.

Thanks, LeAnne!

Hope that helps!

Well, that's all for me today!
Back to the stamp table to work on some more fun things!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #112

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
We have company this week from Missouri. Vicki Burdick & her hubby, Ed made the trip to the east coast to hang with us till Thursday to see the sights here and get some stamp time in. It's been alot of fun! Today we are heading out to Ocean City, Maryland to walk the boardwalk and dip our toes into the Atlantic Ocean! Fun, fun, fun! I just hope our weather holds out.

So before the fun starts I am sharing my Merry Monday Challenge card for this week. Let's get started!

Karren Johnson is our hostess this week and she gave us a great challenge! This card took me at most 20 minutes to make and gave me a chance to dig out an old stamp and dust it off! Love the results!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #112 Card:

Cardstock: Real Red, Basic Black, Neenah White

Fall Treat Box Cards

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope your all having a great day!
There is a chill in the air here in PA today. We had some rain yesterday and a cold front come thru and today the breeze just says "fall is here"! Besides that, the leaves are starting to change color and fall to the ground. Seems kinda early this year but i'll take it!! :)

Yesterday, I took advantage of a down day to rest my back and it feels about 80% better today! I actually napped all day with the heating pad. It's still a bit sore but it's getting there. I stopped the Vicoden for pain because it makes me feel werid but i'm still taking the Aleve for inflammation. A few more days and hopefully it will be better! As for today.....i'm heading down to stamp this afternoon since I haven't done anything since Friday! WooHoo!

Ok, enough on me!

Above are the Treat Box Cards that I made for the stamp girls last week. I used different colored cardstocks because you need 12 X 12 size and I only had a few sheets of certain colors. I used designer papers that came from AC Moore & Hobby Lobby. The girls loved them! I showed them to my Dad Sunday when they were here and even he said how nice they were! :)

Fall Treat Box Cards:

Stamps: Happy Fall Y'all, Leaves & Sentiment from Impression Obsession
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Bravo Burgundy, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Bravo Burgundy, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Confetti Cream, DSP from Hobby Lobby & AC Moore
Accessories: SU Two Tags Die, Corner Rounder, Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Rhinestones, Various SU Ribbon, Hot Glue, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that is all for today!
I'm off to stamp! :)

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
