Sunday Stampings....

Hello & Happy Sunday!

I know it's been almost a week since the last update. Hope you all are doing well.
I have been doing some stamping but not updating. Also been busy with things around the Aungst residence. Last Wednesday I spent the day at the hospital with my Dad while he had outpatient surgery to get a pacemaker. It was a long day but he did fine. However, the next day he ended up getting sick and his leg swelled up again. I've not checked in today but if he wasn't better by tomorrow (Monday) he was gonna go see his doctor. Just hope he soon gets straightened out!

Then yesterday Shawn & I babysat Dominic all day. We had a blast but boy did that wear us out! LOL

He's such a good baby and getting big!

So, today we had no plans and I was determined to go down to stamp!
I didn't make this today but earlier this week....

I sat down and had no idea what I was gonna stamp but this is what I ended up with.
I just love this!!

Gingerbread Door Hanger:

Stamps: Scentsational Season Bundle, Sweet Season (sentiment)
Ink: Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Neenah White, Silver Glimmer Paper, Be of Good Cheer DSP
Accessories: Scentsational Dies, Circle Nestibilities, Gumball Green Ribbon, Rhinestones, MS Bow Punch, Sanding Block, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that is all for me tonight!
Gonna sit and relax with Shawn & watch his Ravens play football!!
Hope you'll stop back tomorrow for another great sketch for the Merry Monday!

Snowman Door Hanger

Hello again!

Just wanted to share what I made today!
Another fabulous door hanger!
I used musical note paper from Hobby Lobby on my door hanger and the snowman. The snowman is cut out with cardboard then the paper using a Sizzix die that I borrowed from Vicki. It's so cute!
I sponged the edges with some chocolate chip ink and added red rhinestones and a small snowflake on the scarf.
Then I took some wired gold cord and wrapped it around my door hanger and tied a bow then wrapping more cord around it and made another bow and then again but on the last piece of cord I tied on some gold jingle bells. I curled the bow ends with a wooden chop stick. LOL
I fell in love with it!!

What do you think??

Snowman Door Hanger:

Stamps: none
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: The Paper Studio (musical note), Paper Pizzazz DSP (on the scarf)

Our Creative Corner Challenge

Hello again!

I have been wanting to participate in last week's Our Creative Corner blog challenge and have been putting it off till today! Free 4 All Challenge #72

Good Morning & Happy TGIF!!!

Today's Free 4 All Challenge was themed "Good Ole Summertime"! Dawn thought we should do a card/project with something in mind that we did as a child durning the summer time months. It's funny, Vicki & I were just talking about making a door hanger with something related to summer and I had talked about kids in a pool or something watermelon. Things I can relate to as a child. I remember days of swimming and then having watermelon as a treat in the evenings after a long hot summer day! Soooooo, I found in my stash this Seed Packet template already stamped with a SU watermelon image and the door hanger came to life!
I covered my wooden door hanger with some Garden Green Patterns 12 X 12 DSP and added a piece of Whisper White punched with the Martha Stewart Doily Punch and added red rhinestones and my sentiment. Also threw in there a button and some different red gingham ribbons that were in my stash. The gingham really brings it to life with eating watermelon on the picnic table covered with a red gingham tablecloth! I love the turnout and loved going back to something happy as a child! And now I also have a new door knob hanger to place on my front door! WooHoo!

Free 4 All Challenge 72 Door Knob Hanger:

Stamps: unknown SU watermelon image, Sentiment from Lockhart Stamp Co
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers, Garden Green & Real Red SU Markers

Accessories: Oval & Oval Scallop Nestibilities, PTI Button, Various Gingham Ribbons, Red Rhinestones, Martha Stewart Doily Punch, Sanding Block, Hot Glue, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Hope you like! I know I loveeee it!

Well, that's all for me today!
Off to grab a quick nap then got alot going on today!

Tis the Season Door Knob Hanger

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Well, it's not quite the season yet but I work on Christmas all year long to prepare for the craft show I do back home. This past weekend I spent most of Sunday hanging out in my stamp room and was playing around with some things. I had a wooden doorknob hanger laying on my table and it called my name to cover it and fancy it all up! LOL I grabbed this paper from Hobby Lobby and found the cardinal image was already colored. Added a sentiment from the Polar Bears set and the poinsettia Prima flower and that big gorgeous striped ribbon with jingle bells and it was one of those WOW moments! I loved the outcome!

I made a whole box of them and all are different but this one really caught my eye!
Hope you like it!

July 4th Holiday

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a great day!
I had the chance today to spend some time with my MO buddy, Vicki Burdick! We stamped & shopped and just had a good ole time that was much needed since there has been so much dampened spirits around here with the tornado stuff. Before I get to what we made I ran for my mail before heading out to shop and found this adorable card in my mailbox. It is a card made by a blogging friend that I recently had the pleasure of meeting at L&L Stamps in Ephrata, PA. Mary Anne (from over at Lakeside Stamping), I would just like to personally say "Thank You" for this super sweet card and for your kind words! The image is very special and I keep asking for thoughts & prayers for the people of Joplin because they so desperately need it! Yesterday, we took a ride passed some of the tornado damage. It still just depresses me to see it but you can see things are getting alittle better each day! Alot has been cleaned up but still alot to go. I think today the last shelter closed since everyone has found some sort of temporary living and life is trying to get back to some sort of normalcy. Alot of help & support in this community and so much from around the country! As we were out for a drive Sunday we seen so many out of state license plates....New Hampshire, Delaware, North Carolina & Florida! The continued support has been wonderful!!

Ok, now on to some fun stamping stuff! :)

Last week after we got back from our vacation to PA, I sat down and made this door hanger for July 4th which is almost upon us! Today, Vicki & I made another one and I whipped up this matching postcard to go with. Love, love, love the outcome of both!

Easter Door Hanger

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope your week is off to a good start!

Yesterday, Shawn & I went off on a field trip like I had mentioned. It was a very warm & humid day and thunderstorms were on our doorstep. We went to West Mineral, Kansas, to see a local tourist attraction & museum called Big Brutus. Big Brutus was an old piece of equipment used many years ago for coal mining in Kansas. It stands 16 stories high or 160 feet from the ground. Very interesting thing to see!! Here is a link if your interested in more:
Big Brutus

I made sure I took lots of pics to scrapbook this one day!
We had a good time! Below are 2 pictures...check'em out!

So, today i'm catching up on some things around the house. I was gonna go stamp today until my friend, Amy, from back home called and we chit chatted about 2 hours! Then I lost my creative thought! LOL I do, however, have my Easter Door Hanger to share. I finished it up last week but had not posted it yet.
Take a look..

I really like the pastel colors on this and Kelsey just adores it! LOL I'm surprised I haven't found it hanging on her bedroom door yet! Haha!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Hello & Happy Thursday!!

It is St Patrick's Day....3 days away from Spring! WooHoo!

Today is St Patty's Day and I have dedicated my blog just to this holiday!

I realized I did not upload my St Patty's door hanger this month so I am doing it today!

Then I made my stamp friends back home alittle something for the occasion.
They are Peppermint Pattie sandwiches decorated and placed in a Wilton Pretzel bag.
I'm safe to post this now since I got word that they all received their treats! :)

I'm happy with how it all turned out!

Well, that's all for me today!

Valentine's Day Doorhanger

Hello & Happy Sunday, everyone!

Yesterday, my stamp buddy from here in MO came over to stamp with me. It was the first in a few weeks and we had a great time! Didn't get too much accomplished with all the chit chatting we did but I managed to get my Valentine's Day Doorhanger made.

Vicki shared with me some stamped images from her Greeting Card Kids set that she absolutely adores and this little girl from the set went perfectly with my paper.

I colored her with Copics then cut her out with Circle Nestibilities and layered it onto my new Lacey Circle Nestibilites. The Pretty in Pink cardstock underneath was run thru the Cuttlebug with a new Sizzix Hearts Embossing Folder that I got at Micheal's. I love it!

I then added my Be My Valentine sentiment with a button & twine and a few little Jolee's Glitter hearts at the bottom. I finished it off with a bow at the top.

I hope ya like it!

Valentine's Day Doorhanger:

Stamps: Greeting Card Kids, Sentiment from Inkadinkadoo

4 Days till Christmas

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

Today is the first day of winter and it is suppose to be in the 50's here in Joplin! I'll certainly take it because I know everyone back home said how cold it's been there!
Another busy day ahead. Fluffy is getting a good bath because she really needs it! Then the laundry needs done and just a few more things need to be wrapped. Tomorrow should be a much calmer day which is good because I have a few stamp things i'd like to play around with! :)

Today i'm sharing with you my Christmas door hanger. I made one for Halloween and started a new tradition with making them for every holiday or season. I noticed on my door here in Joplin you cannot see it from outside. Back in PA I had a full open view door, here I do not but I will still continue to make them!

I got together with Vicki a few weeks ago and we made them. I'm not real keen on mine. Seems like it still needs something. I'll keep searching till I find what it needs....

Christmas Door Hanger:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: K&Company Peppermint Twist DSP, Bashful Blue, Tag from K&Company Peppermint Twist Tag Pad
Accessories: SU Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Snowflake Punch from Micheal's, Prima's Flower, SU Pink Corduroy Button, White Pearls from Kaiser, PTI Button, White Thread, Mono Multi, MS Fern Punch, Score Tape

Ok, that's all for me for now! Time for my poochie to look & smell better!

Thanksgiving Door Hanger

Hello fellow stampers & friends!

I hear the weather back home has been kinda rainy, snowy & cold. Here in MO it's been warm but very breezy. No, i'm not rubbing it in because i'd do anything to be back home but it's been pretty decent here. Saturday hubby worked doing inventory at work then Sunday we raked the leaves from the yard but there are still alot of leaves on the trees around here so I know we aren't done yet! I spent Saturday getting some craft show stuff done. Yesterday, I finished up my decorated candy bar sleeves and the Snowman Soup Tins. Today, I need to get tablets & notebooks finished. Come Friday I have to have my stuff packed and ready to ship back home so the ladies can get everything set up for the Holiday Craft Show which starts Black Friday. I won't have much for this year since I took a vacation from stamping earlier this year but I am trying to make things that are big sellers.

My project today that i'm sharing I made last week. I did a door hanger last month for Halloween and decided from now on to make one for every holiday or every season. Here is my Thanksgiving door hanger.....Take a look!

Thanksgiving Door Hanger:

Stamps: Leaves & Sentiment from Impression Obsession
Ink: Creole Spice Pad, Always Artichoke
Cardstock: Always Artichoke, PTI White, More Mustard, Autumn Traditions DSP
Accessories: Circle & Circle Scallop Nestibitlites, SU Scallop Trim Border Punch, Eggplant Grosgrain, Gold Cord, Buttons, Linen Thread, Exacto Knife, Sanding Block, Glue Dots, Scor Tape

I used last years Autumn Traditions DSP and the leaves & sentiment are both from Impression Obsessions. I added some Elegant Eggplant Grosgrain with some gold cord and a few buttons to dress it up. It's now displayed on my front door till Thanksgiving is over. I will have to go to Micheal's to pick up more of these wood door hangers to make one for Christmas. I love them!!

Well, i'm gonna head back to bed for a bit. I wasn't quite ready to get up this morning when Shawn got up. Last night we went to see the Bon Jovi movie that was out for one night ONLY! It was concert footage of them playing at the New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey from this past summer. Bascially, it was the same thing we saw when we seen them in concert in Hershey, PA back in May but I did NOT mind one bit! LOL Shawn & I both enjoyed it! A fun night out indeed!! :)

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
