HB Pocket Cards

Hello & Happy Sunday!
Hope you all had a wonderful July 4th holiday!

It's been ungodly hot here in Pennsylvania! They say since we've had over 90 degrees for the last 3 days that we are now in a heatwave and not going to end anytime soon either!
We have been hanging out at home and staying cool this weekend.
I stamped everyday while Shawn was relearning his vinyl cutter.
Friday night was Red Lion's fireworks but lots of people around the area had them going off last night as well. Poor Gigi was a nervous wreck so I hope that soon ends.
Last evening we watched the new Aladdin movie with Will Smith.
Very good movie if your interested!

Today I have a set of pocket cards to share.
I made these for on my card rack just incase my card lady would need a pack last minute.
I use to make pocket cards all the time so I had to relearn them!

I pulled out some retired Sycamore Street DSP from 2013.
These also use coordinating retired cardstock.

Card Details:

Stamps: Many Mates
Ink: Island Indigo
Cardstock: Soft Sky (retired), Island Indigo (retired), Tangerine Tango (retired), Whisper White, Sycamore Street DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stars Framelits (retired), Corner Rounder Punch, Classic Label Punch, Mini Stapler, Island Indigo Ribbon (retired), Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was thrilled with the turn out of these and hope they will not stay sitting on my card rack too long!
The colors just make me smile!

If anyone would like the directions to create these please leave me a comment and I will post an update with directions!

Dallas Cowboy HB

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

Today is a busy day!
Shawn has a doctor appointment early this morning for his knee.
Not sure what to expect there since the steroid medicine that was prescribed for him did not help.
Then later in the afternoon it is Ryan's turn.
This is his return appointment from when he had his colonoscopy in September.
He's had quite a few tests since then, too!
I've had people ask how he's been doing.
Yesterday he turned 32 years old and is doing really well.
Knock on wood he's not been sick and feeling pretty good!

So, yesterday I said I had to go make him a birthday card!
This is the card I made for him...

Ryan has always been a Dallas Cowboys fan.
I think he gets that from his Uncle Randy!
I pulled out a bunch of retired stuff to create this and that is the nice thing about hanging on to retired stuff.....you never know when your going to need it!
I also made this a Flap Card.
I love making this style of card for a different look!

Card Details:

Stamps: Itty Bitty Greetings, Stampendous (inside)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Accessories: Cuttlebug Star EF, Star Framelits (retired), Star Blast Edgelits (retired), Classic Label Punch, Silver Metallic Enamel Hearts, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I wanted to add a football to the inside and darn if I didn't forget!
I was having a bit of a rough day yesterday.
I don't think i'm getting sick but I was just sluggish all day and could not get it together.
I am blaming the rainy, cloudy weather!

 Ryan had a great day!
We had ice cream cake with Kelsey & Shady!

That is all for now!

Congrats Card

Hello & Happy Friday!

Yippppeee we made it to the weekend!

As I said in posts earlier this week, I had a card order to work on. Today's card was included in the order. My customer will be traveling to see her grandson graduate. I'm not sure which branch of the military. She may have told me but I did not retain it. This card was made for him.

Having these diecuts surely makes a card go together much faster!
My customer was really happy about this card!
Of all the cards I made this was the one that stole the show for her!

Congrats Card:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Lucky Stars EF, Star Framelits, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Rhinestone, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I wish all cards could go together as quickly as this one did!

My thoughts today.....

Yes, I love looking forward to the weekends with my hubby!
Not too much planned for this weekend. He had an extremely busy week at work this week so i'm sure he will be taking it easy.
I have a stamp get together tomorrow morning with my friends! So excited to make some Fall/Thanksgiving things! I will share them here next week!

That is all for me today!
Thanks so much for stopping by & have yourself an amazing weekend!

Happy Birthday, Ryan!

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Today we celebrate my son's 30th birthday!

He was born with Cerebral Palsy and is wheelchair bound since his back fusion surgery in 2010. We always make his birthday a big deal around here. Tonight we are having his favorite thing....steamed crab legs! I will also get him a small birthday cake too!

As part of his birthday celebration, this is the card I made for him.
He is a HUGE fan of the Dallas Cowboys and this year they have made a comeback with a perfect winning streak! I guess since they have a new quarterback that makes a huge difference!
I made his card in the colors of the Dallas Cowboys.....

This card was somewhat of a case from a card I seen on Pinterest made by Christine Miller. I love the design and kept that but changed up the star and my sentiment. I was looking for something quick & easy since I am swamped with work right now and I hate to say no to a customer.

Let's Celebrate Card:

Stamps: Sumthin Sumthin (retired), Sunburst Sayings
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Night of Navy, Brushed Silver, Whisper White
Accessories: Lucky Stars EF, Swirly Bird Thinlits, Star Framelits, Stitched Oval Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Happy 30th Birthday, Ryan!!!

Woohoo! Going to be a nice day!

4th of July French Fry Boxes

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Busy day ahead so i'm going to make this quick!

I made up some treats for the upcoming July 4th holiday.
I was very inspired by all the Red, White & Blue candy treats that the candy companies have brought out for the upcoming Olympics this summer in Rio. I was especially happy to find my beloved Red, White & Blue M&M's!!!! Oh and Kit Kats!

Anyways, I threw together some treats for the 4th which I will share over the next week as we approach the 4th.

Today is my French Fry Boxes.

My July 4th sentiment comes from an old retired SU stamp set from when I first got into stamping. I believe it was called More Great Greetings. I will double check that later and let you know for sure. The boxes themselves were leftover from last year and I just put the 4th saying on it. The little wooden clothes pins came from Walmart. The stars are from the Stars Framelits.
I filled my treat bags with Hershey Minatures, Kit Kats and Hershey Kisses.
I just love the wrapping on them! So festive & patriotic!

I know most of these items are retired but I hope it will inspire you to create a treat for your upcoming July 4th holiday!

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful weekend!

These are Hershey Kiss Trees...

July 4th Paint Cans

Hello & Happy Friday!

Today I am sharing a cute little treat can that I challenged my dear friend, Vicki to join me in! We've been challenging each other on & off the last few years at different things and we both adore these little paint cans from Michael's! So my challenge was to decorate a small paint can for the July 4th holiday!

I wrapped my paint can with paper that I picked up at AC Moore that is from Pebbles. It matched our Night of Navy perfectly! My Real Red & Whisper White flower on the front is made with the retired Daisy die but reminds me of fireworks! I added a Night of Navy star to the center of it and a small Silver Glimmer Star. On the handle I added a Real Red Stitched Ribbon bow and a Red Clothes Pin that I picked up at Walmart. Inside my paint can I have a few Hershey's Nuggets wrapped with the Pebbles patterned paper, a small Silver Glimmer Star with a Rhinestone in the center. On the lid I used an old July 4th sentiment.

Hope you like!

Now please go check out my friend Vicki's blog here. She always makes the cutest stuff!!

July 4th Paint Can:

Stamps: SU Sentiment (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy

Accessories: Daisy Die (retired), Lg Star Punch, Merry Mini's Punch Pack (Star), Clothes Pin, Real Red Stitched Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all I have today!
Hope you enjoyed seeing Vicki & I's little holiday pails!

Smore's for the Holiday

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today i'm sharing a yummy treat that most people eat at this time of the year when there are cookouts & fireworks! Smore's go hand in hand with the July 4th Holiday!

I packaged up some Graham Crackers, Marshmallows and a Hershey Chocolate Bar and put them into a Gusseted Cello Bag from Stampin Up. I used some old Real Red & Night of Navy Organdy Ribbon to tie the bag shut. I added a tag with the Chalk Talk Framelits and used the God Bless America Stamp on them. These were tags I had leftover from last year. I thought these would make a yummy treat for anyone who will be spending time around the bonfire this July 4th Holiday!

July 4th Smore's:

Stamps: God Bless America
Ink: Real Red & Night of Navy SU Markers
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Chalk Talk Framelits, Darice Star EF, Merry Mini Punch Pack (Star Punch), Rhinestone, Real Red & NIght of Navy Organdy Ribbon, Gusseted Cello Bag, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

That's all for today!

Patriotic Tissue Packs

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Up and at it bright & early this morning!

Today one of my stamp girls, Sista Karen, is having a Stampin Up party so I thought i'd get up and get a few things accomplished before heading out.  Looks like rain is on our doorstep...we really need it! The clouds are already here and it looks as if we've already had some showers come thru during the night.

So, I want to share with you these Patriotic Tissue Packs. My Mom found the soft pack of tissues at the Christmas Tree Shop not too long ago so of course I had to make a box for them & decorate.

The tissues had 10 packs in a package for $1.00 and they were all decorated differently with Red, White & Blue. I think they were pretty just the way they were! I used paper from a retired Patterns Paper Pad from a few years back and the sentiment is from the retired Star Spangled Day set. I really like these!

Patriotic Tissue Packs:

Stamps: Star Spangled Day
Ink: Real Red, Night of Navy
Cardstock: Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Patterns Paper Pad
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Punches, Stitched Grosgrain Ribbons, Glue Dots, Star Framelits, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue

Well, guess i'd better get my last sip of coffee in me and head to the shower!
A Stampin Up party awaits! So excited to see my group of stamp ladies and can't wait to see what projects we make! Fun, fun, fun!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!
