Retro Rubber Challenge #115

Hello again!

I'm back with a quick card that I made for the Retro Rubber Challenge #115.
This week they have a pretty color challenge for us!

I pulled out an oldie but goodie for this one!
Upsy Daisy was out in 2008 and was very well loved in my collection over the years!
I was happy to use it again today!

Everything on this card is retired.....even the DSP!
I had these strips already cut so I added them to a piece of cardstock and trimmed it down.
I stamped my daisy image in Daffodil Delight and my sentiment in Granny Apple Green.
The colors I used are:
Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green & Highland Heather.

Card Details:

Stamps: Upsy Daisy (retired)
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Whisper White, retired DSP strips
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Highland Heather Organza Ribbon (retired SAB), Rhinestones, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It's very colorful don't you think?
Check out the Retro Rubber Challenge and play along!

Retro Rubber Challenge #114

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I am back with an adorable Christmas card made with the Retro Rubber Challenge in mind!
I've been working on getting holiday cards made so I am not swamped once the holidays arrive!

I love the idea of Christmas in July!

The stamped snowman is from a Stampin Up set from 2000 called Thanks Snow Much.
My card is 5 inches square and I used lots of Stitched Shapes (square) on it.
The embossed panel is from the Quilted Embossing Folder which is also retired.
The DSP is from 2014, Trim the Tree. I have 3 pads of this which I am going to work on using.

Card Details:

Stamps: Thanks Snow Much (retired), Joyous Celebrations (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Cherry Cobbler, Stampin Blends, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Garden Green, Whisper White, Trim the Tree DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Quilted EF (retired), Cherry Cobbler Twine (retired), Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Always fun using the old stuff!
I hope I can keep the momentum going because I have LOADS of old stuff that I would be happy to use up!

Retro Rubber Challenge #113

Hello & Happy Thursday!

This week sure is sailing along!

Today I have a set of cards to share that I made for the July 4th holiday!
I used a new to me challenge called Retro Rubber Challenge and it's one that I may just play along with because I have so many old retired stamps that could benefit from a good inking! LOL

Here is their challenge and my samples....

I used an oldie but a goodie from 1999 called Happy Fourth.

This stamp set retired in 2003 but has stayed in my collection since.
I sat and did some old school stamping but first I had to take the rubber off the coordinating wheel (remember those kind of stamps?) and put cushion on it so I could use it more easily on an acrylic block.
I inked it with Real Red ink and stamped my entire card base with it several times until it was covered.

My main panel I stamped all the images from the stamp set like I was making my own DSP.
That was quite fun!
I've not made a card with this stamp set since i'm guessing maybe 2002-03 and it felt wonderful to ink this lovely set up once again!

Card Details:

Stamps: Happy Fourth (retired), Stars & Stripes Wheel (retired)
Ink: Real Red, Night of Navy
Cardstock: Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope you liked my cards!
I love pulling out the old ones and breathing new life into them again!
