Happy Halloween

Trick or Treat!!!

Hello & Happy HALLOWEEN!

Today, i'm wrapping up the last of my Halloween goodies because after all, today is Halloween!
We had such a great Halloween this year! We were invited to a Halloween party the last several years but with moving away then coming back last year, and with Shawn being sick last year we finally went this year! It was this past Saturday and I have to say.....it was the BEST Halloween party i've ever been too! We have been planning our costumes for about the last 2 months and with the help of my Mom & Kirsten, we pulled it off! Here is a pic...

Meet the Flintstones, Fred & Wilma.....aka Shawn & Wendy!

OMGosh, it was so much fun to get dressed up and go out!
We won a Coolest Costume Ribbon and that just made my day!
Thanks, Roxanne & Tom for the invite! Had a "spooky" time!

Anyways, today I had my little pumpkin, Dominic! He's such a sweetheart! I love him to pieces!
Here he is wishing everyone a Happy Halloween!

He is fascinated with the laptop & the cellphone. I think he'll have one before he's 2!
His mama told me he will be a monkey for Halloween, probably the cutest monkey around! :)

Here are the last of my Halloween treats....

Halloween Treats:

Stamps: Tricky Treats
Ink: Basic Black & Tangerine Tango SU Markers, Basic Gray
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla, Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP

Halloween....

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Just a quick note to let everyone know we made it thru Hurricane Sandy!
Everything is in tact and all is well at the Aungst Residence. Those winds that were blowing thru last night at this time were something else and I was convinced our power was gonna go off but it never did. It didn't even flicker! We hunkered down and rode the storm out by watching the Weather Channel all evening and seen others were not as lucky as we were in Sandy's path. Our thoughts & prayers certainly go out to those people as they try to go on from this.....

Today, as I wrap up sharing all of my Halloween things for this year, I wanted to show these cuties I made my daughters as a little treat. They both love their Bath & Body Works stuff so this was a much appreciated gift. I made them Halloween Hand Sanitizer Totes and each has a small bottle of sanitizer in that is Halloween scented...

Halloween Hand Sanitizer Totes:

Stamps: Booglie Eyes, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Neenah White, Champagne Glimmer Paper, Creepy Crawly DSP
Accessories: Word Window & Modern Label Punches, Circle Nestibilities, Googlie Eyes from Micheal's, Pumpkin Pie 1/8 Taffeta, Mono Mutli Liquid, 2 Sided Tape

They are just the cutest and the girls loved'em! :)

Well, that is all for me tonight!
Dancin With the Stars then off to bed.
I have Dominic in the morning! :)

Thanks for stopping by & Happy Halloween!

Halloween Treats

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope everyone is having a great day so far!

Yesterday, my favorite little guy came to stay for a bit while his mama went to her classes. I love having Dominic here every Wednesday morning. He gave Kelsey & I quite a laugh when we looked over at him and he had one of his rings stuck to his pacifier! We laughed and he just looked at us like we were crazy!

Anyways, I didn't do any crafting yesterday because I think I just needed to give my brain & my hands a break but Tuesday I made a few boxes up for some Halloween goodies. I used Spooks Galore.......

I found these boxes at Micheal's and all I had to do was fill a cello bag with my treat and place inside the box. I added my Trick or Treat Ghost, the sentiment and my crazy bow. Very easy peasy and I do like the outcome!

Halloween Box Treats:

Stamps: Spooks Galore, Grateful Greetings (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Neenah White
Accessories: Ribbon & Boxes from Micheal's, Hot Glue, Cello Bag, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that is all for today!
Hope you liked my Halloween Treat Boxes!
Oh, inside is my White Chocolate Snack Mix with the Fall M&M's. I looked high & low for Halloween M&M's and I have come to the conclusion that they did not make them this year. :(

Dynamic Duos Challenge #25

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope your all having a great day!
I took a break today from working on Christmas to make a card for the Dynamic Duos Challenge. Loved the colors and it gave me a good excuse to use a NEW to me but a very old Stampin Up set that I recently got off of Ebay called Spooks Galore.

I also made some other things with this set which I will share when it gets closer to Halloween. I have always loved this set but never got it when it was available 10-12 years ago! I found it on Ebay for a really low price and went after it!!! Woohoo! :)

Dynamic Duo #25 Card:

Stamps: Spooks Galore
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Basic Black, Neenah White
Accessories: Ribbon, Black Rhinestones, 2 Sided Tape

Another quick & easy card for my Halloween pile! :)

Dynamic Duo Honourable Mention

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Just a quick little update then back to my craft room I go!

I sat this morning and was searching the blogs and doing my Merry Monday commenting when I realized this card was chosen as an Honourable Mention on the Dynamic Duos Challenge blog! WOW, that woke me up! Thanks Paige, for the shout out and for making my day!

I have spent the last 2 days in my craft room with the DO NOT DISTURB sign on my door, computer & cell phone! LOL I have become such a procrastinator the older i'm getting! I have been so busy and just putting off working on my craft show stuff that I decided since I only have a few more short weeks till it needs to be finished and delivered that I better get a move on things!
I'm happy to say that I got alot accomplished but still have things left to do! I will start posting some things on here as it gets closer to the holidays.....if I remember to take pictures! LOL I did up 35 Candy Bar Wrappers, 12 Hand Sanitizer Totes, Treat Box Cards, Gift Bags, and 2 Card Orders in the last 2 days and I can say that my hands are feeling the pain today! But guess what?? I'm off this morning to work on more! Not sure how much longer my back will put up with sitting on that chair but the sooner I get all this finished, the better!
Wish me luck!! LOL!!!

Well that is all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & i'll see you tomorrow for another fabulous sketch from Lesley for the Merry Monday Challenge!

Have a great day!

Color Challenge 397

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your having a great day so far!

Today I wanted to share a card I made for the Color Challenge over at SCS this past Tuesday. I seem to be a day late and a dollar short most of the time but i'm slowly catching up! Julia is the hostess and these are the colors she gave us: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie & Very Vanilla. The dessert option was to make a Fall or Autumn card.

I was in the mood to make another Fall/Autumn card. I've been trying to make my cards with alot less layers and a bit more simple. I think with the help of the Woodgrain background stamp i've accomplished that!
Hope you like!

Color Challenge 397 Card:

Stamps: Leaves by Impression Obsession, Woodgrain Background, Grateful Greetings
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, DSP from K&Company
Accessories: Stamp A Ma Jig, Button, Pumpkin Pie Taffeta, Hot Glue, 2 Sided Tape

Sketch Challenge #407 & Dynamic Duos #24

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope you all had a great day!
I had my little Dominic today while his mama went to class. I just love my Wednesday mornings with the little guy! He certainly makes them brighter!

Around noon his mama came and took him home so I went off and did some light housework and tried to take it easy on my back. Shawn was home from work early so he graciously grilled steaks & bake potatoes for supper! Oh, it was soooo yummy! I think i'll keep him!!!! :)

After supper I decided to head down to do some crafting.
I took 2 different challenges and combined them into one.

I wanted to keep with the Fall theme since it's upon us and I will need some cards to give to family & friends eventually! I don't have much in Fall stamps so I fell back on using an oldie but a goodie called Autumn Leaf Prints. I used today's Sketch Challenge #407 from Splitcoaststampers and the colors from the Dynamic Duos color challenge. Hope you like!

SC#407 & DD#24 Card:

Stamps: Autumn Leaf Prints, Grateful Greetings
Ink: Soft Suede
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Spice Cake DSP
Accessories: Stamp A Ma Jig, Antique Brads, Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for tonight!
Soon time to hit the hay and do it all over again tomorrow!!!

Fall Treat Box Cards

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope your all having a great day!
There is a chill in the air here in PA today. We had some rain yesterday and a cold front come thru and today the breeze just says "fall is here"! Besides that, the leaves are starting to change color and fall to the ground. Seems kinda early this year but i'll take it!! :)

Yesterday, I took advantage of a down day to rest my back and it feels about 80% better today! I actually napped all day with the heating pad. It's still a bit sore but it's getting there. I stopped the Vicoden for pain because it makes me feel werid but i'm still taking the Aleve for inflammation. A few more days and hopefully it will be better! As for today.....i'm heading down to stamp this afternoon since I haven't done anything since Friday! WooHoo!

Ok, enough on me!

Above are the Treat Box Cards that I made for the stamp girls last week. I used different colored cardstocks because you need 12 X 12 size and I only had a few sheets of certain colors. I used designer papers that came from AC Moore & Hobby Lobby. The girls loved them! I showed them to my Dad Sunday when they were here and even he said how nice they were! :)

Fall Treat Box Cards:

Stamps: Happy Fall Y'all, Leaves & Sentiment from Impression Obsession
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Bravo Burgundy, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Bravo Burgundy, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Confetti Cream, DSP from Hobby Lobby & AC Moore
Accessories: SU Two Tags Die, Corner Rounder, Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Rhinestones, Various SU Ribbon, Hot Glue, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that is all for today!
I'm off to stamp! :)

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #37

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Saturday, I spent the day with all my stamp girls at the Heirloom Stamp Show and then we went and had lunch at Chili's. I didn't spend much there due to the fact that some of my favorite stamp companies were not there this year. It was kind of a disappointment to me and seemed much smaller.
Sunday, I spent the day with the kids, my parents and my grandpuppies! We played Pokeno, watched football and of course....ate! Was a good time but I have been dealing with some back issues again. Last year while we were still out in Joplin I picked up my son Ryan who has Cerebral Palsy and something just went pop. It wasn't till 2 weeks later that we made the move back to PA that I couldn't handle the pain any longer and went to an Urgent Care. I was diagnosed with a lumbar sprain (back spasms) and put on some pretty hefty pain & anti-inflammatory meds for a week. After a few days I felt better so i'm hoping that this bout with the spasms won't last long either. I have pain & anti-inflammatory meds so i'm just gonna take it easy today and rest as much as I can to get better!

So, since it's Monday that means Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper has another sketch for us this week to help us get those Christmas cards made! I soo love this challenge because I now have a huge supply of cards ready to go for Christmas! No stress this year! :)

Here is her sketch and my sample....

I was so excited to use this new set called Winter Memories for this sketch. It goes perfectly with this Festival of Prints DSP.

Ink: Island Indigo
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Island Indigo, Very Vanilla, Champagne Glimmer Paper, Festival of Prints DSP

Hope you can stop by Always Playing With Paper to see what the other Merry Makers have created this week! Some beautiful creations! :)

Well, that is all for me today!
Off to rest my back!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

This week Lesley from Always Playing With Paper has a new sketch for us to help us get those Christmas cards made.

Here is the sketch and my samples....

I changed up the sketch just a tad by moving my star to the top so I could fit my pretty embossed tree and not cover it with my star. I made 2 different cards with the same layout and the same stamp set.

Sketch Challenge 405

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope everyone is having a great day!
The weather is slowly clearing out after all that rain & fog yesterday. Unfortunately, I had to be out and about in it with getting Ryan to his doctor appointment. I looked like a drowned duck! LOL

So, this morning I had Dominic a bit while Amy went to school and he is just so enjoyable! After he left I went to check out today's Sketch Challenge over at SCS. I haven't played along in quite some time but since I got some new stamps this morning I decided I needed to get them inky!

Here is today's sketch and my samples...

I just got this French Foliage stamp set and is it ever a beauty! Not sure why I waited so long to order it! LOL The sketch today is really easy & simple and did not take long to make (and that's a good thing).

Sketch Challenge 405 Card:

Stamps: French Foliage, Perfectly Penned, Woodgrain Background
Ink: Bravo Burgundy, Kraft/Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Bravo Burgundy, Kraft/Crumb Cake, Neenah White
Accessories: Bravo Burgundy Grosgrain, Rhinestone, Stamp A Ma Jig, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for now!
Off to get my supper started and more stamping afterwards! (Hopefully)

Merry Monday Week #35

Hello & Happy Monday!

Can you believe it's October 1st.....already!! Time is just flying by and pretty soon we can put all these wonderful Christmas cards to good use!

So, here we are at another Monday and that means it's time for another Merry Monday sketch. Lesley has given us another terrific sketch this week! Hope you can hop on over to her blog, Always Playing With Paper and check out all the samples that the Merry Makers have created this week, you won't be sorry!

Here is this week's sketch and my sample....

For this card I used an old Stampin Up set called Wandering Words. I already had the image stamped so I just layered that onto some Soft Suede cardstock. I cut my flags with some scraps of Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP from a few years ago. I layered all that on top of my white piece of cardstock that was embossed with a retired embossing folder called Snow Burst. It's probably my favorite! Then I layered that on to some Real Red cardstock that was attached to my Soft Suede card base. I added my SU Snowflake that was punched with some Champagne Glimmer Paper and added the button with some Linen Thread and called it finished! I love how easy this sketch is and the WOW factor that the Champagne Glimmer Paper gives! Hope you like!

Merry Monday Week #35 Card:

Stamps: Wandering Words (retired)
Ink: Soft Suede
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Real Red, Whisper White, Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP
Accessories: SU Snow Burst EF, Champagne Glimmer Paper, Button, Linen Thread, Hot Glue, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that is all for me today!
Hope you can find some time to play along with us this week!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
