Hope Lighthouse

 Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you had a nice relaxing weekend!

On Saturday I had a lady come and buy a huge amount of my stamp stuff.
26 years worth that I am learning to finally let go of. I have also been dealing with a mild toothache. I go to dentist tomorrow afternoon for a cleaning and will have them look into my pain. The tooth in question has a crown on so I'm not sure what is going on with it but I noticed it last Thursday when eating supper. When I chewed my food on that side I had discomfort and other than that it hasn't bothered me. Fingers crossed they find something tomorrow.
So, as I said I have been clearing out my stamp room and I came across a bin that I had unmounted stamps in that were not Stampin Up!. I found a beautiful set from Dare2BArtzy called Hope Lighthouse that I picked up at L&L Stamps. It called my name so I sat down and made a card with it!

Card Details:

Stamps: Hope Lighthouse by Dare2BArtzy
Ink: Memento Black, Balmy Blue, Smoky Slate, Stampin Blends- Balmy Blue, Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue, Basic White, Simply Marbleous DSP (retired SaleABRAtion 2022)
Accessories: Textured Notes Dies (retired Online Exclusives), Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Balmy Blue Gingham Ribbon, Frosted Iridescent Dots, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was pleased with how it turned out and added it to my card bin.
I found so many stamps in that bin that I made it a point to sit it on my stamp table to use!! Honestly it was like hitting the jackpot! Stamps I didn't even know I had!!

Thinking of You

Hello & Happy Friday!

Yipppeee, the weekend is here!

Not sure what the weekend holds since it's still to be gross-ly HOT & HUMID. Blah, this type of weather I can live without! We will probably hibernate much of like we've been doing most of this week. I think my bike is missing me the last couple of days and the way it's looking it's to stay this ridiculously hot. Have I said how much I dislike this weather??!!

Yesterday afternoon I sat and stamped about an hour then headed to the backyard to rake up a few twigs & leaves that needed picked up before trash day. Yea, I was really quick so I did not break a sweat which is unusual for me! Ok so, back to the card...
I had these Hearth & Home Framelit cutouts in my stash since Deb & I had our stamp day. Deb graciously left me cut a bunch out. While I was cutting them I had a vision of my a card with a lighthouse off in the distance.
Here is my take on it.

I was unbelievably happy with this card once it was finished!! I used the Woodgrain Background stamp on my Crumb Cake cardbase and some linen thread to give it a natural look. The grass flumes in the frame are from the Wetlands set and the lighthouse is from the From Land to Sea set. My inks are Crumb Cake & Dapper Denim.

Thinking of You Card:

Stamps: Wetlands, From Land to Sea, Woodgrain Background
Ink: Crumb Cake, Dapper Denim
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Dapper Denim, Whisper White
Accessories: Hearth & Home Framelits, Stamp A Ma Jig, Lg Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Glue

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Happy Father's Day, Dad!!

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there, especially my own!

Today I have my Father's Day card that I made for my Dad.
Growing up we went to Ocean City, Maryland twice a summer. It was like a second home. The things we did and the memories we made will always be cherished. So, for my Dad, I had to make something to remind him of those wonderful memories of the days at the ocean.

The sentiment on my card I found at a little stamp store that has been out of business for many years now. It holds a special place in my heart and it truly is the way I feel about my Dad. If anyone has been my #1 fan all these years, beside my hubby, it's definitely my Dad!!!

Father's Day Card:

Stamps: From Land to Sea, Sentiment from CC Stamp Designs, Hardwood Background
Ink: Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Whisper White Craft
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Accessories: Circle Nestibilities, Smoky Slate Thick Twine, Rhinestones, Tombow Liquid Glue

Happy Father's Day to my Dad & my hubby!
You both are very special to me....

Also would like to take a minute to wish my niece, Megan, a very happy birthday!
Hope she has a fabulous day too!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday, friends!
Hope your all doing well. I apologize for such a long absence in between updates. Things have been busy beyond belief the last few weeks. I have been cleaning, painting, throwing things away, preparing for a yard sale and getting our house ready to go on the market for sale. This past Wednesday the For Sale sign went in the front yard & the lock box on the door. I'm not gonna say that i'm happy about it but i'm trying (and it's very hard) to be supportive of hubby wanting this change. So far, no bites on the house. We have decided that Kelsey & I will stay behind until she graduates in June then join him in Missouri at that point. I'm not one for handling change very well and at this point there are so many unknowns that scare me. One day at a time....
So, yesterday I tried getting my butt back into my stamp room. So many changes went on in my stamp room as well, it took me forever just to spit out 1 card. LOL My neighbor requested a lighthouse retirement card so this is what I got accomplished.....

After a few hours I was able to accomplish what I set out to do. I'm happy with it and hope she will be too!
Card Details:
Stamps: Lighthouse & inside saying from Hero Arts, Sentiment on front from SU
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Buckaroo Blue, Kraft, PTI Select White
Accessories: Labels 4 Nesties, Lg Oval & Scalloped Oval Punches, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Mat Pack & Paper Piercer, Buckaroo Grosgrain, 2 Sided Tape, Dimensionals
Today it's looking to be a wash out! Rain is forecasted for today & tomorrow so i'm gonna take full advantage of being inside and try my hand at some Christmas goodies. If I get something accomplished...i'll be sure to get it posted!! :)
Thanks for stopping by & have a super Sunday!! ~Wendy
