Jar of Flowers Retirement

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I hope your all staying cool in one way or another!
I have been trying to spend time at my stamp table as a way to stay cool.
Yesterday afternoon I had an hour to spare so I pulled out the Jar of Flowers stamp set and made a pretty Retirement card for my card rack...

At my last Stamp Day w/ Friends event Miss Emily bought my last (lady) Retirement card.
I made myself a note of that so I could get a few more made up.

This card uses a variety of stamps.
I also used the Masking Technique to have my flowers over top of the jar.
Had I not used the masking technique the top of the jar would show thru on my flowers.
It worked like a charm and I would suggest to everyone that purchases this set to make a mask for each flower stamp in that set! It will save you time & frustration! (ask me how I know!)
I used a variety of new In Colors on this! The Magenta Madness color sure is bright!

Card Details:

Stamps: Jar of Flowers, Lots to Celebrate, Many Mates (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Misty Moonlight and Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Magenta Madness, Bumble Bee, Misty Moonlight, Whisper White, Flowers for Every Season DSP
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, In Color Enamel Dots, Post It Note (to create mask), Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

If you look close enough at my jar you will notice it is different from the jar that comes in the Jar of Flowers stamp set. The jar I used on this card came from the Lots to Celebrate stamp set.
It is new from the August - July 2020 Mini Catalog.
It is also a million dollar achiever set created by Susie Wood.
I think it's going to be one of those sets i'll reach for over & over again! Very cute!

Hope you like this card!
It was really fun to create!

Masking Technique

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I've got another card that I did on Saturday when Debbie had a card class.
This card we did the masking technique on.

She had us trim down a post it note and lay it on our cardstock.
We stamped our images and then pulled up the post it note and it revealed the white space.
That is where we stamped out sentiment.
She used a big bold sentiment on her sample.

Card Details:

Stamps: Positive Thoughts, Part of My Story (SAB 19)
Ink: Seaside Spray, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point
Cardstock: Seaside Spray, Pacific Point, Whisper White
Accessories: Post It Note, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I gotta start a list of these techniques so I can use them for Stamp Day w Friends!
This one is fun & really easy!

Thinking of You

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

We had more snow here this morning!
Shawn got up early and went out to snow blow the driveway so we could get the girls to their grooming appointment at 8am!
Today is also Gigi's 6th Happy Adoption Day with us!
We aren't sure of her age since she was found as a stray but she sure is a spunky girl and always lovable! And may I add that she looks fabulous after doggy day spa this morning!

Today I have a set of cards to share that I made for my customer.
These are a semi case of a card made by Chris Slogar.

This color combo is Petal Pink & Soft Seafoam and it sure is soft & pretty!
It's becoming one of my favorites!
I masked off my rose to add the leaves then added my sentiment.
It comes from the Colorful Seasons set!
I also used the next to the largest size Stitched Rectangle Framelit for my image panel.
Those Framelits cut so nicely!
Lastly I added 2 small rhinestones for a pop of bling!
We all need some bling in our lives, right?

Card Details:

Stamps: Healing Hugs, Colorful Seasons
Ink: Petal Pink, Soft Seafoam, Memento Black
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Whisper White, Petal Pink DSP
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The Healing Hugs set which the rose comes from is a Distinktive set.
That meant I had to use an ink pad that was not super inky or my rose would have been blotchy.
These came out better than I had expected and i'm quite happy with them!
