You're In My Thoughts

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Just a quick post today!

Yesterday as I was chatting with Kelsey, I was looking thru a pack of paper from the English Garden package. I found this paper and just fell in love with it! It has been rainy and very dreary here the last few days and I just wanted something flowery & pretty! This is what I whipped up in no time! Hope you like!

Can you tell i'm anxiously awaiting spring!?
The older I get the more I dislike winter. The cold & snow do not agree with me. I love my warmer temps (sunny & 70's to be exact) and I love my pretty flowers!
March is almost here so I know it won't be too much longer!

You're in my Thoughts Card:

Stamps: Best of Greetings (25 year special set)
Ink: Soft Suede
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Hello Honey, Whisper White, English Garden DSP
Accessories: Circle Punches, Hello Honey Stitched Satin Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Liquid Glue

Happy Retirement, Sylvia!

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday my Kelsey came over after work to hang out a bit. She asked me if I could whip up a retirement card for her friend at work. Her last day is Friday. She was holding this package of paper (Birthday Bouquet DSP) in her hand and asking if I could use something from it for the card. She loves all the prints in the pack and so do I!!

So, I got right to work!

I really love this sheet of paper and used just a small piece that was leftover from another project. I used the sentiment from Wild About Flowers set and the small butterfly from the Bold Butterfly Framelits. I just love that butterfly!

Kelsey's friend, Sylvia, is retirement age. She lost her husband a few years ago and has finally decided to stop working and travel. Kelsey has really taken a liking to this lady and I know she will miss her!

Best Wishes, Sylvia!

Retirement Card:

Stamps: Wild About Flowers
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Pool Party, Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Birthday Bouquet DSP

For Peep's Sake

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I have an Easter card to share with you today, I used up retired things from last year's 2015 SaleABration and the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Funny thing about this card is that everything stamped was already done and I found it inside the pack of DSP! I don't even remember stamping these images last year. All I had to do was cut out my tag, add the ribbon and throw on some Dimensionals and it was done!

This sentiment comes from last year's 2015 Occasions Mini Catalog from a set called For Peep's Sake. I colored the image with Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry & Calypso Coral SU Markers. I used the Ornate Tag Topper Punch for the top of my tag. Out of all the Tag Topper Punches, this one is my favorite! I added some Coastal Cabana Grosgrain Ribbon and some white pearls to it. This DSP comes from the 2015 SaleABration catty and I believe the name is Best Year Ever DSP. I do not have much of that package left so I may try to use it up yet this year! And just a reminder, Easter comes early this year!

Easter Card:

Stamps: For Peep's Sake
Ink: SU Markers- Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry & Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Best Year Ever DSP
Accessories: Ornate Tag Topper Punch, Coastal Cabana Grosgrain, White Baker's Twine, White Pearls, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

That is all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific day!

Merry Monday Challenge 193

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Today we have a new challenge for you from over at Merry Monday!
Linda is our hostess this week, so let's get to it!

I have one stamp that has bells on and I just did not want to use it for this challenge. As I looked around my stash I found this patterned paper that had these vintage Santa's on and this one was holding a bell!! I cut it out and mounted it on the opposite side of the patterned paper for a quick card! I know I made a card almost like this last year but the images are different. I love the vintage feel of this card.

Merry Monday Challenge 193 Card:

Stamps: None
Ink: None
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Kaisercraft DSP
Accessories: Antique Brad, Cherry Cobbler Sheer Ribbon, Tombow Liquid

I hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to check out the cards from the design team! Many different varieties of bells to inspire you!

That's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

A Masculine Get Well

Hello & Happy Friday!

Yesterday I ment to update the blog but the day just got away from me! I guess that means I was having a great day in my stamp room!

I created a masculine Get Well card while playing with my Four Feathers stamp set and matching Framelits.

Take a look...

I used Neenah White cardstock for my card base and embossed a piece of Tip Top Taupe with the Boho Chic Embossing Folder. I love the pattern that the embossing folder gives. I stamped my sentiment and my feathers in Tip Top Taupe. I wasn't sure I was going to like that color but it has grown on me! And lastly, I added a piece of White Baker's Twine tied in a bow and added to the feathers with a glue dot and attached the Tip Top Taupe panel to the card base with some 2 Sided Tape. What do you think?

Masculine Get Well Card:

Stamps: Four Feathers, Perfectly Penned (sentiment)
Ink: Tip Top Taupe
Cardstock: Neenah White, Whisper White, Tip Top Taupe
Accessories: Wide Oval Punch, Feathers Framelits, White Baker's Twine, Glue Dot, Tombow Liquid, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for today!

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I made a quick card today for my upcoming Spring show.
I used the new Easter Lamb that is in the Occasions Mini Catalog and he's quite cute!

You all know how much I love that tilted panel so I used it here with some English Garden DSP.
I think it makes for a very springy card!

Easter Lamb Card:

Stamps: Easter Lamb
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Blush Blossom, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, English Garden DSP
Accessories: Blush Blossom Chevron & Stitched Grosgrain, Glue Dots, Tombow Liquid Glue

Springtime Gift Bag

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

It's a pretty yukky day here to sum things up! Yesterday we had snow all day then last evening it went from snow to sleet/ freezing rain. Today temps are in the upper 40's and it's raining....no it's POURING! To look out the window it's foggy, windy and raining. Gigi & Bailee want no parts of going out in it. I hope this doesn't last long but I am liking that the temperatures are moving in the right direction! I'm so ready for spring!

So today before I get involved in doing some chores, I wanted to share an adorable bag I made with the Gift Bag Punch Board! I could not wait to get it and as soon as it came I went straight to my stamp table and made this after watching a few tutorials on You Tube on how to create the bags.

This is the large bag and my cardstock was 12 X 6 but you can easily make one that stands taller in which I will be trying very soon! You can also make flaps to close the bag. So many possibilities! I was so happy with this bag that the Gift Bag Punch Board is still on my table waiting for me to use again! I do want to say that I used my Crop A Dile to make the holes at the top because I wanted my ribbon centered so I did not use the hole template on the Gift Bag Punch Board. I still have alot to learn about that board but it's quick & easy for making a cute little gift!!

Springtime Gift Bag:

Stamps: Birthday Blooms (sentiment)
Ink: Soft Suede
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Whisper White, English Garden DSP
Accessories: Gift Bag Punch Board, Bold Butterfly Framelits, Circle Punch, Crop A Dile (holes), White Pearls, Blushing Bride Ribbon, Tombow Liquid.

Well, that is all for me today!
Busy, busy, busy!
Thanks for stopping by & I hope the weather is nicer where you are!

A Valentine for my Valentine

Hello & Happy Sunday!

It's Valentine's Day too!

My hubby left me sleep in today as he usually does on the weekends. My pain medicine makes me sleepy too but I usually fight it off.
We have nothing much planned for this day. Later this evening we will steam some shrimp & crab legs and have a nice supper with Ryan but for the most part it's low keyed. This extremely cold weather has my back in a tizzy so i'm taking it easy for now with the heating pad and staying cozy.

I made my hubby a Valentines Day card the other day. He's a wonderful husband and takes good care of me so that's the least i can do for him. I just got a Stampin Up order this week so I used the SaleABration set called The Sky's the Limit. It's only available till tomorrow.

As soon as I seen the heart shaped cloud in this set I knew I would use this set to make his card. Besides Valentines Day, I can see many uses for this set as well.

Valentines Day Card:

Stamps: The Sky's the Limit SAB 2016
Ink: Basic Gray, Rose Red
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Love Blossoms DSP
Accessories: Circle Punch, Small Heart Punch, Heart Border Punch (little heart punch outs), Rhinestones, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

That's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Valentines Day Paint Cans

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Up bright & early today!
Hubby has to go into work this morning to make sure the sidewalks are cleared from the snow we had last evening. We had a brutal cold front come thru bringing with it some snow squalls putting about 2 inches of snow down. Our temps today are not to get out of the 20's with wind chills around 2 degrees. Burrrrr!

Today I am sharing with you some Valentines Day Paint Cans that I made as Thank You gifts for my stamp girls. We ended up having a catalog party about 2 weeks ago since we could not have a workshop from the almost 3 foot of snow we had. I have not seen any of my stamp friends so I will probably save these and make something else for them. I will be seeing them in a few weeks for the next stamp get together.

I used that much loved heart for everything this year and i'm sure you will be seeing it again for more Valentines Days to come!!

I picked up these small sized Paint Cans at Michael's last year. I probably have 30 of them in my stash that I am going to try to use up this year! They make a cute little gift for someone. Just fill them up with a few chocolates and you have a sweet treat!

I filled my pails with Hershey Kisses and Dove Milk Chocolate Hearts. Sadly, I do not eat much chocolate anymore. Every now & then I will snack on a Hershey Kiss or 2 but that's about it anymore and I use to be a chocoholic!

So do any of you have any fun or special Valentines Day plans?
We don't usually do anything spectacular but every year we plan a meal with Ryan & Kelsey.

Hope you all have a very sweet Valentines Day!

That's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Treats for the Sweets

Hello & Happy Friday!

It's been a week since I posted but things have been crazy!
I also took this past Monday off from Merry Monday since I did not have a card ready and did not have time to get one made but I will be back this Monday!

Since Valentines Day is this Sunday I wanted to share the rest of the sweets I made.
So let's get to it...

These candy filled cello bags have Dove Milk Chocolate Hearts, Hershey Kisses and bite sized Kit Kat bars in. I used an old sentiment from Tags 4 You and the Real Red Pom Poms & Real Red Ribbon from this past Holiday Mini Catalog. The small Cello Bags are from Prism Pak where I have been purchasing them since Stampin Up! stopped carrying the small cello bags.

The M&M Sticks are pretty straight forward using the 1 X 8 cello bags from Stampin Up! and a retired heart stamp. I love making the M&M Sticks!

That's all I have for today!
I just received my Stampin Up! order this week so you will soon start to see some new goodies here! I'm excited to share them with you so stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

I'm a bit late to the show but today I finally have my 2016 Calendar finished and ready to share!

I only just started them last week so I did not make one for January.

These calendars are fun to decorate but they are alot of work. I kept them very simple this year.

I decided to pull out my For Feathers stamp set that I don't use enough. I love the variety of feathers in this set and even better it has a matching Framelit too!

This feather set is retired but I love that it makes a great masculine birthday card especially for someone that may not be a hunter, fisherman or a sports person.

Ink: Island Indigo, Sahara Sand
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Adventure Bound DSP
Accessories: Feather Framelits, Chalk Talk Framelits, Island Indigo Twine, Glue Dot, 2 Sided Tape

Happy Birthday, Molly!

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I'm trying really hard on getting back to stamping & posting on my blog! I have a Stampin Up! order coming tomorrow so I hope it sparks my mojo!

Today I am sharing a card I made for a little girl who is crazy about giraffes!
It was her 2nd birthday!

Making cards for little ones is a toughie for me and I struggle. My kids are all grown and there are no little ones so it's not something I have alot of experience with. This card took me hours until I was happy with the results.

I used the Zoo Babies set and the sentiment was computer generated. The number 2 comes from the Bigz Alphabet Typeset Dies that is now retired. The strip of cut out hearts is from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. I think everything else is pretty explanatory.

Happy Birthday, Molly Card:

Stamps: Zoo Babies, Sentiment- computer generated
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar
Cardstock: Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Hello Honey, Whisper White, Lullaby DSP
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Circle Nestibilities, Oval & Scallop Oval Nestibilities, Bigz Alphabet Typeset Dies, Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, White Pearls, Crisp Cantaloupe Thick Twine, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

That is all for today!
It's a very rainy day here and I hope it continues to melt the snow. Everyday I am seeing more & more grass in the backyard. I'm sure Gigi & Bailee are as thrilled about that as I am! Bring on Spring, please??!!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
