Haunted House & Bats

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday was a busy day!
Shawn had his appointment with the Orthopedic doctor. Turns out he may possibly have an MCL tear. He is waiting to get an MRI scheduled because that won't show on a regular x-ray. For now the doctor gave him a knee brace to help keep his knee in line and he is to rest it and take Advil but because of his Diverticulitis he can not take Advil and Tylenol certainly isn't going to touch his pain. Depending on the level of tear he may need surgery. I will keep you posted.
After his appointment I had an appointment for a haircut then we picked Kelsey up and ran to Lancaster to do some shopping. I wanted something Halloween for on my hutch in the kitchen and found the cutest little vampire trick or treater!

So, today I have a set of Halloween cards and if your keeping track this is set #14. I found in my stash a haunted house and the stamp is from Stamp Oasis that I have had for quite some time. It's never seen ink so it was way past time to use it! I put the stamp in my Stamparatus and got to work. I paired it with some paper from the Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby!

This set is more on the spooky side but still rather cute.
My sentiment is an old Michael's $1 stamp from years ago.

Card Details:

Stamps: Haunted House w/Bats Stamp Oasis, Michael's $1 Stamps
Ink: Basic Black Archival (retired), Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Basic White, The Paper Studio
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Corner Rounder Punch (retired), Sparkle Gems, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Today will be another busy day as I have some cleaning to do.
I know I won't get it all done today but tomorrow is another day! Sometimes I sure wish I had a cleaning fairy! LOL

How are you doing with making your Halloween cards?

Witch Candy 3 Panel Cards

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

It's going to be a beautiful day here today! I have a couple of quick errands to run this morning then i'm going to pull some of my Halloween decorations out and get started. This year I don't think I have it in me to put everything out so for now it's just going to be a few things. Last evening I packed away a couple summer items to get ready for Fall & Halloween. Shawn said "are you kicking summer to the curb"? Heck yes I am! I've been loving the weather the last few days since it's been cool so YES, I am kicking summer to the curb!

Today I have another set of cute Halloween cards to share with you. This is set #11 in my quest to use up my stamps, inks, embellishments & papers! I can see that i've already made quite the difference in my magazine holder that houses all my Halloween papers!
This set is a pack of 6 and I used the Patty Bennett 3 Panel Card design on these...

Lots of pictures for this post but I wanted to show the different looks of the 3 Panel Cards once they were put together and the inside. That inside sentiment is from DRS Designs.

Card Details:

Stamps: Bewitching (retired-2022), Frightfully Cute (retired-2021), DRS Designs  (Sentiment-inside)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Memento Black, Stampin Blends-Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic White, Black Glimmer Paper (retired), Monster Bash DSP (retired-2019)
Accessories: Witch Hat Builder Punch (retired-2022), Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Stamparatus (retired), Black Classic Matte Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Another pack that turned out pretty cute and it feels great to use up retired supplies, too!

Stamp Day w/ Friends

 Hello & Happy Monday!

Today I am sharing card #1 from my Stamp Day w/ Friends get together that I had on Saturday. We had a nice time together and had fun creating some cards!

The 1st card we made uses a retired Stampin Up! set called Reflected in Nature.
This stamp set was in the 2021 Holiday Mini Catalog and I think it's a wonderful masculine set!
Since my girls are surrounded by lots of men in their lives this card was right up their alley!

We used the Stampartaus to get a good image. I made sure the ink pad was not too juicy and they all turned out perfect!

Card Details:

Stamps: Reflected In Nature (retired), Itty Bitty Birthday (retired)
Ink: Evening Evergreen
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Basic White, Evening Evergreen & Soft Succulent DSP
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Stamparatus, Designer Elements (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I have had this card kit prepared for a Stamp Day get together since last spring and i'm glad we finally got to make it! The girls loved it!

Stamp Day Card #5

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!!

Today I have the last card to share from Saturday's Stamp Day w/ Friends.
This one was a total case from Angie Juda. I just loved it!

This gatefold card was a bit hard to photograph because the doors kept wanting to come open. LOL But isn't that Scottie dog so stinkin cute?!

Card Details:

Stamps: Christmas Scottie
Ink: Polished Pink, Memento Black
Cardstock: Polished Pink, Basic White, Celebrate Everything DSP (hostess)
Accessories: Stamparatus, Scottie Dog Punch, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Scalloped Contour Dies, Jingle Bell Trinkets, White Twine, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

That pretty snowflake paper comes from the Celebrate Everything Paper DSP that is a hostess item. It is loaded with all kinds of prints for many different holidays that could be used all year long!

Yesterday was a really yukky day here. We did not get any snow just freezing rain that turned over to all rain. It poured most of the day and overnight. The sun is to make a return later today but we will see!
I never got around to getting that puzzle out. I ended up going to my stamp table to work on gift cards that I need for Christmas gifts. I hope over the weekend to start it!
How are you doing with your Christmas preparations?

Beauty of the Season

 Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday was a very dreary, rainy day and today is looking like much of the same.
I don't have much to do today so I may try to let my hands rest.
I'm all ready for my Stamp Day w/ Friends get together on Saturday other than getting my table ready which I will do on Friday. My Christmas treats need to be priced yet which I may do today and get that out of the way. Once Saturday is over I can then concentrate on Christmas!

I finished up Audrey's card order yesterday, too!
She requested 3 packs of Christmas cards including the set I am sharing today using a retired set called Beauty of the Season from 2014. She wanted a set with a cardinal.

Card Details:

Stamps: Beauty of the Season (retired), Framed & Festive
Ink: Memento Black, Cherry Cobbler, Stampin Blends - Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Basic White
Accessories: Timeworn Type 3D EF, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Scalloped Contour Dies, Tailor Made Tags Dies, Stamparatus, Linen Thread, Holiday Rhinestones (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I used my Stamparatus to stamp my cardinal image because it is a big image and on my first try without the Stamparatus I missed the whole middle section. The Stamparatus is wonderful for that! I am finding myself using this tool more & more!
Coloring of this image isn't too bad but my hands don't like it.
Everything on this card is adhered flat except for my tag with the Merry Christmas on it.
I looked for some Cherry Cobbler Ribbon to put on my tag that was not bulky and had no luck. I used the Linen Thread which gives this a nice country feel and certainly does not bulk up my card. Lastly, I pulled out the Holiday Rhinestones (which were just on the Clearance Rack) and I used 2 Cherry Cobbler on my card for a bit of sparkle!

Again, I mixed old & new products which I always say is like breathing new life into those retired stamps! If you have them, use them!

Christmas Scottie

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

I hope your having a nice relaxing Thanksgiving weekend!
Yesterday we got Kelsey's stuff all put out in her room and stuff packed in totes and packed into the storage room. We actually had a nice supper last night and relaxed watching the Haul Out The Holly movie on the Hallmark Channel. If you know me you know I watch that channel 24/7. It just makes me happy even if I have seen a movie a thousand times!
Today is football day and Kelsey goes back to work after 2 days off.
I am making a pot of chili on this rainy day then just chilling!

A few weeks ago I did a Stamp A Stack that Kitchen Table Stamper offered on her blog. It was a free class but you could also purchase the card packet to make them. I was going to purchase the card packet until I realized I had everything that she used in the pack. I sat and made my own so I could give to Kelsey to give her friends for Christmas. This is the 1st card in the Stamp A Stack....

Marisa comes up with some pretty cute things and this Stamp A Stack I loved just as much as the Sweet Gingerbread Stamp A Stack!

Card Details:

Stamps: Christmas Scottie
Ink: Memento Black, Poppy Parade, Shaded Spruce
Cardstock: Shaded Spruce, Poppy Parade, Basic White, Santa Express DSP
Accessories: Scottie Dog Punch, Circle Layering Framelits, Stylish Shapes Dies, Tailor Made Tags Dies, Stamparatus, Evening Evergreen Ribbon, White Twine, Jingle Bell Trinkets, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love the colors & prints in the DSP and that adorable dog!
I will be back tomorrow to share card #2.
It's so cute and this stamp set could be used for other occasions besides Christmas, too!
I love it!

Stamp Day Card #2

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I hope your staying warm where ever you are!
Sunday it got pretty cold here and had to break out our winter coats!
Burrrr! I know it is mid November but last week we had temps in the 70's which spoiled us.
Yesterday I started a Christmas puzzle. It's a tough one and I was hoping to have half of it done by this morning but that's not happening. I will pick at it more today!

I want to share card #2 that we made at Stamp Day w/ Friends on Saturday.
This one uses the Painted Pheasant stamp set which is a new one in the 2022 July-December Mini Catalog.

We used the Stamparatus to stamp the pheasant. We started with Crumb Cake ink then took a sponge dauber and blotted Soft Suede ink in certain areas to make give it a more detailed look. The Soft Suede panel was embossed ahead of time using the Leaf Fall 3D EF. Both panels were diecut with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits.

I also cut and adhered the Crumb Cake DSP panel ahead of time to keep things quick & easy for the girls. The DSP is from the retired Plaid Tidings DSP from a few years ago.
I am trying to use up the older stuff when I can.

Card Details:

Stamps: Painted Pheasant
Ink: Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Basic White, Plaid Tidings DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Stamparatus, Leaf Fall 3D EF, Elegant Facted Gems, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It's crazy how fast this year is flying by!

Thanks for taking time out of your day to stop by!

Happy Halloween, Everyone!

 Good Morning & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a great & relaxing weekend!

Can you believe today is Halloween already??
I feel like the last several months have passed me by since I was sick.
I have 2 more Halloween treats to share with you that I made back in August when the Halloween candy finally hit the shelves...

I have found that the Reese's Peanut Butter Pumpkins are a great seller and everyone loves them! For these I placed 2 of the small pumpkins in a Cello Bag and created my topper. I made 6 of these and sold 4. The last 2 are going to Shawn & Ryan for Halloween!

Project Details:

Stamps: Little Delights (retired)
Ink: Basic Black Archival (retired), Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Gorgeous Grape, Basic White, Celebrate Everything DSP
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Frightful Tags Dies (retired), Gorgeous Grape Glittered Enamel Dots (retired), Cello Bags, Stapler, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Next is a cute box that I created using the Seasonal Layers Dies!

For these I diecut the front & back of the box using the Black & White DSP and then I added some Pumpkin Pie ink using a Blending Brush. I thought they turned out adorable!
My trick or treaters were stamped using the Stamparatus using Basic Black Archival ink.
The pumpkin Pie layer under the trick or treaters was embossed with the Cobwebs 3D EF that is retired. The cello bag inside the box has a mix of candy in it! Reese's PB Pumpkin. Hershey's Cookies & Cream Bar, Witch's Brew Kit Kat and a York Peppermint Patty!
I made 5 of these boxes and sold 4. The last one went to Kelsey!

Project Details:

Stamps: Scary Cute
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black Archival (retired)
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic White, Black & White DSP
Accessories: Seasonal Layers Dies, Scary Silhouettes Dies, Cobwebs 3D EF (retired), Stamparatus, Black Glittered Ribbon (retired), Black Twine, Black Matte Dots, Cello Bags, Blending Brushes, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

And that is a wrap for this Halloween 2022!
I hope if your out trick or treating this evening that you stay safe and have fun!

Ghoulish Delights

 Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Today I am sharing the last project we made at my recent Stamp Day w/ Friends get together.
I sometimes like to share with the girls a treat holder and one that is simple to make!
Stampin Up brought out these cute Peekaboo Treat Bags that are like nothing I have ever seen before. They come in a package of 10, 5 White and 5 Kraft. Food safe bags that are fun to decorate!

Since I had some leftover M&M's on hand that is what I used in the bags and I decorated it by the colors of the M&M's.

Project Details:

Stamps: Bewitching, Ghoulish Goodies (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie, Stampin Blends- Gorgeous Grape, Parakeet Party, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Basic White, Gorgeous Grape & Parakeet Party DSP
Accessories: Stamparatus, Stylish Shapes Dies, Witch Hat Builder Punch, Peekaboo Treat Bags, Parakeet Party Metallic Ribbon, Glitter Washi Tape, Gorgeous Grape Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I have been wanting to use these bags and forgot I had them.
They hold a nice amount of candy and I love that they stand up on their own!

Update on my doctor appointment:

My insurance would not approve my inhaler that I have been using for the last month. My doctor gave me samples that she had in the office in September and they did not have anymore so she sent a script in to CVS. This was for a different inhaler with the same medicine in it. Insurance approved it immediately. Shawn ran to pick it up after supper last evening. It cost $95 with insurance! I think both of our jaws hit the floor. Without insurance it would have cost $389! Doctor gave me 2 refills on the inhaler but let's hope after sticker shock that I won't need to refill it. This inhaler is completely different from my last one. This is an aerosol one where my other one was a pill that crushed and you inhaled the dust. And this new one I have to use twice a day instead of once.

And all my bloodwork came back very good this time which I was pleased about.
I was diagnosed with Diabetes in April 2021 and so far have been able to stay away from being put on medicine. I try to move as much as I can and watch what I eat for the most part. Sweets are my downfall.

Bewitching Card

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday, Everyone!

We have a rainy, dreary day on tap here which makes for a good day to grab a nap!
Had my check up at the doctor last evening.
She put me on the inhaler for another month for my cough and I got a flu shot.
Also had blood work done which I won't know the results of that until later today.
I sure between the Prednisone & my inhaler (which is a corticosteroid) it's definitely going to be throwing my numbers off for my A1c and sugar glucose.

I have the last card from my recent Stamp Day w/ Friends get together to share with you!
This one uses the Bewitching bundle from the July-December Mini Catalog and used the Witch Hat Builder Punch to coordinate with it.

I love the colors on this one and how fun was it to color that hat and the witch's legs!
We stamped the legs & witch's hat using the Stamparatus which makes it so easy! After we stamped and got the desired look we left it sit a few minutes to dry then colored with Stampin Blends.

Card Details:

Stamps: Bewitching, Best Witches
Ink: Memento Black, Gorgeous Grape, Stampin Blends-Pumpkin Pie, Parakeet Party, Gorgeous Grape, Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Basic Black, Parakeet Party, Basic White, Black & White DSP
Accessories: Stamparatus, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Tailor Made Tags Dies, Witch Hat Builder Punch, Tasteful Textile 3D EF (retired), Black Matte Dots, Black Glittered Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This is just so pretty and the way I like Halloween!
