Greeting Card Kid Pocket Card

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Just have a few mins to share with you a card I made a few weeks ago and finished it up today. It's a case of a card my Missouri BFF, Vicki Burdick made. She's the queen of the Greeting Card Kid stamp set so I hope I do her proud with this pocket card.

I must admit, this little girl is so much fun to color!
I colored her with my Copic Markers and added some glitter to the white of her coat & hat. I used the SU Square Lattice EF and added a big ole button with some 1/8 Marina Mist Taffeta Ribbon. I love that stuff! The pull out tag I used my Two Tags Die from SU and added a big snowflake that was punched with a MS punch and again added another white button with SU White Baker's Twine. I love this card and may not part with it come Christmastime! LOL

Greeting Card Kid Pocket Card:

Stamps: Greeting Card Kid, Sentiment from Bells & Boughs, Tag sentiment from Many Merry Messages
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Blushing Bride, Neenah White, Letters to Santa DSP
Accessories: SU Square Lattice EF, Circle & Circle Scallop Nestibilties, Buttons, Glue Pen, Glitter, Marina Mist 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Two Tags Die from SU, MS Snowflake Punch, SU White Baker's Twine, Scor Tape

Well, i'm off to bed!
The last 2 days I have been really tired for some reason. Hope it's short lived because Friday I am going away for a weekend retreat. Lots of stamping & fun ahead and I surely don't wanna be tired! LOL

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week 13

Hello & Happy Monday!

It's time for another challenge from Lesley over at Always Playing With Paper! I've come to really love this one for the simple fact that I am getting ahead of the game with my Christmas cards for my own use as well as the craft show I do in Nov/Dec. One thing is for sure, come November I won't be rushing around to create a bunch of cards and that takes alot of stress off of me. I've been working hard on Christmas stuff this year since we've gotten settled in our new home. I love Christmas! <3

Below is Lesley's sketch & my samples.
I'm lovin this one!

Merry Monday Challenge Week 13:

Stamps: Christmas Cardinal
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Old Olive, GP White, The Paper Studio DSP
Accessories: Corner Punch, Gold Beads, Gold Cord, Poinsettia Flower, Sponge, Hot Glue, Scor Tape

Well, that is all from me tonight!
Hope you like my card!

Merry Monday Challenge Week 12

Hello & Welcome back!

I am happy that I finally got my Merry Monday Challenge card finished! It has been stewing on my mind all week and I wasn't quite sure what I was gonna do. I have been so uninspired lately with most challenges but then again maybe it's because I have a touch of spring fever with all this beautiful weather we've been having! Today, it was cloudy most of the day so I went downstairs to play and I used what scraps I had lying on my table.

Below is the sketch that Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper threw out at us this week. So simple & quite easy! I'm loving that I have a big ole pile of holiday cards ready to go for Christmas and we have 9 months to go! :)

Merry Monday Challenge Week 12 Card:

Stamps: Sentiment from Bells & Boughs
Ink: Always Artichoke
Cardstock: Kraft/Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Petals A Plenty EF, Gold Beads, Deck the Halls Fabric, Scor Tape

Well, that is all for tonight!
Gonna finish watching American Idol then off to bed.
Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Dinner Invites

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I took a bit of a break while we've had some warm springy weather here in PA. I just couldn't make myself go down to the basement to stamp when it's been so beautiful outside!

Yesterday afternoon I finished up these invites that I sent out to my parents, 2 brother's and Kirsten & Berto for Easter Dinner. I'm not quite sure how i'm gonna swing this since my kitchen is so small but we'll try to make it work! I'm planning on having an egg hunt and then some Wii Bowling competitions going on after dinner and i'm praying for nice weather to sit outside!

Once again I used this adorable bunny die that is from Amuse Stamps. I also used this beautiful DSP from Stampin Up called Sarah. It is retired sadly but it reminds me of spring so that is I why I used it. The front part that the bunny image is on flips up and inside is the information about dinner and the rsvp info. I made this into a postcard type of card and not at all bulky. I made 4 of these in less than an hour and that's an accomplishment for me! So far I have heard from my mom & Kirsten that they will be here. Not too sure yet on my 2 brother's. I hope they all come. My family situation has been very bleak the last 10 years and this I hope will be something good!

Easter Dinner Invites:

Stamps: Hugs & Wishes
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Neenah White, Sarah DSP
Accessories: MS Doily Punch, Bunny Die from Amuse Stamps, Certainly Celery 1/4 Grosgrain, Recollections White Pearls, Scor Tape

Well, that is all for now!
Gonna try to get my Merry Monday card finished and posted this evening after we get Fluffy out for a walk. Hope to see you back here then!

CC365 & SC375

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I finally had a chance to go and be creative today! Hubby went back to work and I was up as the sun was rising. What a beautiful sight it was! We are having some really nice weather today and that has given me the push to get somethings done around here! I cleaned and rearranged my bedroom, stripped my bedsheets & comforter and washed them again, just to get the cold germs moving on out! Since it's so nice out I decided to suck up some of the warmth by hanging my laundry outside to dry. I love the smell of fresh clean bedsheets!

Since I did not stamp yesterday I combined the Color Challenge 365 & today's Sketch Challenge 375. The colors are: Wild Wasabi, Blushing Bride & Vanilla.
Below is the sketch and my samples.....

CC365 & SC375 Challenge Card:

Stamps: Simply Soft, Petite Pairs
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers

I rather like it.....what do you think?
I think it's something fresh for my card rack and certainly easily mailable! :)

Well, that is all for now!
Off to go get my White Chicken Chili made for supper!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #9

Hello & Happy Monday!

I'm back after a week & a half of being sick! I was literally flat on my back for the last week & a half trying to get over the worst cold you could ever have. I'm feeling pretty decent now but still have that God awful cough that goes along with bronchitis. Bad thing now, my hubby picked it up! He has been in bed on & off all weekend and all day today. I hope it stops there!

So, today I wanted to go back and do last week's Merry Monday Challenge before I moved on to this week's so the more holiday cards I have, the better!

Below is the sketch from last week that Lesley from over at Always Playing with Paper threw out for the challenge. Then my samples.....

I really struggled with this. I guess it's because I have not stamped in awhile. LOL I can't tell you how many mess up's I had and how much got pitched into the trash! It was just one of those days!

Merry Monday Challenge Week 9 Card:

Stamps: Bells & Boughs
Ink: Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Kraft/Crumb Cake, Vanilla, Deck the Halls DSP
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Circle Nestibilities, Tags Nestibilities, Eyelet Border Punch, Cherry Cobbler Grosgrain, Gold Metallic Ribbon, Gold Beads, Scor Tape

Well, that is all for now!
I'll be back in a few with my card for this week's Merry Monday Challenge Week 10!
Stay tuned!
