Happy Halloween

Hello & Happy Thursday!

It's football day here at the Aungst Pad!
Our Baltimore Ravens are playing the Philadelphia Eagles this evening in their 3rd preseason game.
It's sure to be a good game as long as we can keep our eyes open!
Hubby had lots of work calls late last night and last time I looked at the clock it was 11:30 and we were up at early this morning. Hopefully we will make it to half time!

Yesterday afternoon I played at my stamp table.
I was struggling after not stamping for a few days but I did manage to crank out a Halloween card from scraps in my stash.

I'm not real fond of the Bermuda Bay for a Halloween card but this one turned out pretty cute!
I only have scraps of the piece of paper with the Halloween characters on.
The paper comes from a retired pack called Motley Monsters and I only have 1 full sheet of it left and a bunch of scraps. I hope to use the rest up this year!

Card Details:

Stamps: Paper Pumpkin Halloween Sentiment (retired)
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Motley Monsters DSP (retired)
Accessories: Square Lattice EF (retired), Mini Paper Clip (retired), Crushed Curry Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Basic Black Twine (retired), Crushed Curry Enamel Dots (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Sketch Challenge 373

Hello & Happy Wednesday! Today is Sketch Challenge day at SCS. Korin is the hostess this week and she asked me to make a sample for this week's sketch and I was happy to help! Below is her sketch and my samples....
When I first saw the sketch I was like, oh man, that looks like a toughie but I thought about it for a bit then got right to work! I love it when it comes together the way you picture it in your mind! I substituted the flower with my bunny. He is new to me and I have been anxious to use him. I was gonna cover him in glitter to make him look like a Peeps marshmellow bunny but then changed my mind. Really didn't feel like messing with glitter! I used some old SU Designer Paper called Sarah. It's so pretty & very springy, perfect for my Easter Bunny! Sketch Challenge 373 Card: Stamps: Delightful Dozen (sentiment) Ink: Memento Black Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Neenah White, Sarah DSP Accessories: Amuse Bunny Dies, MS Doily Punch, SU Square Lattice EF, Oval & Oval Scallop Nestibilities, Basic Pearls, Certainly Celery Grosgrain, Hot Glue, Dimensionals, Scor Tape Hope you like! Well, that is all for today! Thank you for stopping by & have a great day! ~Wendy

Color Challenge 347

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope your all doing well. It's been an extremely crazy last few days that has kept me from my stamp table but today I made my way back! :)

As most know the east coast had this major snow storm that started early Saturday morning. I tell ya, it seems the crazy acts of Mother Nature follow us everywhere we go! LOL
We had 9 inches of heavy wet snow here in Red Lion and most folks lost power. We were lucky that ours stayed on most of the day. I watched Shawn most of the afternoon work on his work bench in the garage while I baked a big pan of lasanga in the oven. We no sooner ate and I got the table cleared & dishes washed and the power went off. We were so bored we didn't know what to do with ourselves! LOL I tried to stamp by flashlight but that didn't go too well. We ended up going to bed early and waking up the next morning...freezing our butts off. The weather sure was frightful outside but inside felt just as cold as out. We sat around Sunday morning wrapped in blankets hoping the power would soon come back on. Mid afternoon it finally came back on and every one was quite happy then! Unforunately, there are many close by that are still without power and today the temps warmed up quite a bit to help melt alot of the snow. It really seemed odd to be handing candy out last nite for Trick or Treat night with snow on the ground!!! LOL In all my 45 years I have never seen anything like it!

Here are a few pictures from Saturday's snow....

Snow on the Halloween flag sure was an odd sight!

So, today was Color Challenge day at SCS. One of my favorite challenges!

The colors today are:
Bravo Burgundy, Always Artichoke & More Mustard

I left my designer paper do all the talking on my card..

Color Challenge 347 Card:

Stamps: Sentiment from Impression Obsession
Ink: Bravo Burgundy
Cardstock: Confetti Cream, Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard
Accessories: SU Square Lattice EF, Gold Cord, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

I hope ya like!! I'm thrilled that the fall season is upon us although it felt like winter here the last few days! LOL Stay tuned this week for the start of my Thanksgiving Thursday Cards. Every Thursday up till Thanksgiving i'll share a card made for it. I have been doing this for the last few years and it helps me to get a few Thanksgiving cards made to send out because if I would not do this the Thanksgiving holiday would get lost amungst all the Christmas stuff! So stay tuned for that! :)

Well, that's all for me!
I have to go get my supper on the table before Shawn gets in from work.
I'll be back shortly to share with you my November calendars! Woohoo! Can't believe it's November already!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 106

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope you all had a great day! Today was a warm one here! Got out and took Fluffy for a walk then took a drive. Every now and then the sky just darken up and it looked as if the sky was gonna drop but hasn't so far. Still calling for severe storms tonight which makes me alittle uneasy.

Anyways, between our afternoon drive and watching Jeff Gordon win the race today, I finally made my way to my stamp room to get the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge done. It looks like an easy sketch but for me I struggled a bit. I used another SU set called Easter Blossoms which is set #30 in my quest to see that all my stamps see ink in 2011. I'm gettin there! LOL

Below is the sketch and my samples...

I really love this stamp set & those gorgeous Springtime Vintage DSP!
