Ryan's Birthday

 Good Morning & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a nice weekend!

Yesterday I finally got Audrey's card order completed...atleast for now! She's known for calling last minute and adding more to her orders so we'll see how that plays out! LOL
Yesterday was also Ryan's 37th birthday! Can't believe he is that old!
He spent most of the day in bed with a migraine but we did have cake & ice cream to celebrate his special day! This is the card I made for him...

Since he likes to play video games and also does a Nascar racing game with his own steering wheel I thought this would work well for him. I grabbed the Level Complete stamp set a few months ago to make his card. I paired it with some Bright & Beautiful DSP for a colorful card!

Card Details:

Stamps: Level Complete
Ink: Blueberry Bushel
Cardstock: Blueberry Bushel, Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lime Twist, Basic White, Bright & Beautiful DSP
Accessories: Metal Plate 3D EF, Circle Layering Framelits, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Metallic Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It was fun to make a birthday card in the midst of the Christmas season.

Today I hope to finish up my Christmas treats & get everything priced.
It would be nice to be a few days ahead of schedule!!

Ryan HB Card

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday we celebrated Ryan's 33rd birthday!
It was a rather low keyed day as he did not ask for anything special.
We did however get him an ice cream cake which he rather enjoyed!
I also whipped him up a quick birthday gift card holder and added some cash.
Shawn got him a pair of heated socks since his feet are always cold.
He tried those socks out as soon as he opened them and I wish you could have seen the smile on his face! He loved them!

This is the gift card I made him...

Everything is retired and i'm happy to use it!
I used the same layout that I have been using on those Christmas Gift Card Holders.
So easy and I like that they aren't too bulky!
Instead of adding a gift card, I added cash so he can get what he wants!

Card Details:

Stamps: Balloon Adventures (retired)
Ink: Pacific Point, Emerald Envy (retired), Tangerine Tango (retired)
Cardstock: Emerald Envy (retired), Whisper White, Pacific Point, Party Animals DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Emerald Envy Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Emerald Envy Enamel Dots (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

He loved the card but loved the cash even more!

Dallas Cowboy HB

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

Today is a busy day!
Shawn has a doctor appointment early this morning for his knee.
Not sure what to expect there since the steroid medicine that was prescribed for him did not help.
Then later in the afternoon it is Ryan's turn.
This is his return appointment from when he had his colonoscopy in September.
He's had quite a few tests since then, too!
I've had people ask how he's been doing.
Yesterday he turned 32 years old and is doing really well.
Knock on wood he's not been sick and feeling pretty good!

So, yesterday I said I had to go make him a birthday card!
This is the card I made for him...

Ryan has always been a Dallas Cowboys fan.
I think he gets that from his Uncle Randy!
I pulled out a bunch of retired stuff to create this and that is the nice thing about hanging on to retired stuff.....you never know when your going to need it!
I also made this a Flap Card.
I love making this style of card for a different look!

Card Details:

Stamps: Itty Bitty Greetings, Stampendous (inside)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Accessories: Cuttlebug Star EF, Star Framelits (retired), Star Blast Edgelits (retired), Classic Label Punch, Silver Metallic Enamel Hearts, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I wanted to add a football to the inside and darn if I didn't forget!
I was having a bit of a rough day yesterday.
I don't think i'm getting sick but I was just sluggish all day and could not get it together.
I am blaming the rainy, cloudy weather!

 Ryan had a great day!
We had ice cream cake with Kelsey & Shady!

Happy Birthday, Ryan!

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Today we celebrate my son's 30th birthday!

He was born with Cerebral Palsy and is wheelchair bound since his back fusion surgery in 2010. We always make his birthday a big deal around here. Tonight we are having his favorite thing....steamed crab legs! I will also get him a small birthday cake too!

As part of his birthday celebration, this is the card I made for him.
He is a HUGE fan of the Dallas Cowboys and this year they have made a comeback with a perfect winning streak! I guess since they have a new quarterback that makes a huge difference!
I made his card in the colors of the Dallas Cowboys.....

This card was somewhat of a case from a card I seen on Pinterest made by Christine Miller. I love the design and kept that but changed up the star and my sentiment. I was looking for something quick & easy since I am swamped with work right now and I hate to say no to a customer.

Let's Celebrate Card:

Stamps: Sumthin Sumthin (retired), Sunburst Sayings
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Night of Navy, Brushed Silver, Whisper White
Accessories: Lucky Stars EF, Swirly Bird Thinlits, Star Framelits, Stitched Oval Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Happy 30th Birthday, Ryan!!!

Happy Birthday, Ryan!

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today is my son, Ryan's 29th Birthday! I whipped up a special card for him and wanted to share it today!

He is a NASCAR nut and I think he lives for everything NASCAR!
Thankfully I had this retired set from Stampin Up called At the Races. I have not used this set in years. It came out in 2005.

Can't believe he is 29 years old!

This young man has been thru SO much in his short life. Many medical issues, most recently testicular cancer. Thankfully he recognized the signs and seen a doctor asap! That saved his life and he had surgery to remove the cancer and then made the decision to not have the chemo. 4 years out and his tests are still negative. Thank God! He also had a spinal fusion a few years ago because he had scoliosis (curvature of the spine). He now lives with a titanium rod in his spine from T4- L5. Nonetheless, he is the best kid ever and i'm blessed & thankful everyday for him!

Ryan's 29th Birthday Card:

Stamps: At the Races, Remembering You Birthday
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Making Tracks Wheel, Circle Punches, Basic Black Twine, Stamp A Ma Jig, Dimensional, 2 Sided Tape

Going to have cake & ice cream for him this evening as we usually do to celebrate his birthday!

Happy Birthday, Ryan!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific day!
