Get Well Box

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

Today I have a fun project to share with you!

Earlier this week Kelsey had mentioned that her neighbor wasn't feeling good. She thought maybe she had Covid. I sent 2 boxes of Covid tests over to Kels to give the young lady so she could test. It came back negative. So it got me to thinking what could I do to help her feel better? I have never met this young girl but she is a single mom to 2 kiddo's and her & Kelsey have become good friends. As I was going thru my stash in my craft room I started working on a wood box that I got from the Dollar Tree a few years back. I added paper and then some paper shred inside. Then it hit me that I had a can of Campbell's Chicken & Rice soup in the pantry. I grabbed it and added it to my box along with some Hall's Honey Cough Drops. I then remembered that I had some small Kleenex tissue packs in my drawer so I made a box to put it in and decorated it to match the wood box. Lastly, I added some Dove Milk Chocolate & Caramel candies in a bag for when she is feeling better. I took pictures then wrapped it all up in a wine bottle cello bag that Stampin Up! carried years ago. I added a cute tag with some leaves. Shawn saw it when he got in from work and said we needed to deliver it so we did. We sat it on her doorstep and he knocked on her door and ran to get on the elevator so she did not see us. We laughed! To this day we have not heard anything on it. Kels has not mentioned it so i'm not sure if the young girl even mentioned it to her. Kelsey does not know we did this!! I wanted to brighten the girls day and hope she feels better soon.

I'm not gonna list all the stuff I used on this but if you need to know something just let me a message and i'll get back to you!

This was a fun little gift to make and I really do hope it helps her to feel better soon!

Thanksgiving Tissue Packs

Hello & Happy Black Friday!

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving holiday!
We cooked a big meal and ate later in the evening since Kelsey & Corey had to work.
Once everyone ate it was food coma heaven! LOL
I had dishes to do and my kitchen to put back together but it was a great day!
Today we are having lots of leftovers as i'm sure most people are.
It was a very cold day here in PA. I spent the day in my pj's doing some stamping.

I wanted to share with you a quick Thanksgiving Tissue Pack that I made up this year.
I made 10 of these and had 2 left.

I wanted to share them before the holiday but I never took any pictures of them until today.

This uses all retired things.

Project Details:

Stamps: Tags 4 You (retired)
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: More Mustard (retired, Very Vanilla, Spice Cake DSP (retired)

My thoughts today....

Yesterday & today our temps did not get out of the 20's!
Too cold for me so we stayed in and had a pj day!
I have a ton of orders I need to catch up on.
I will be a stamping fool this week once Shawn goes back to work!

That's all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & stay warm!

Christmas Swankies

Hello & Happy Sunday!

It's Christmas Eve and things are going as planned.
Shawn steamed the shrimp last evening and today I have a couple of things to make for supper tonight and 2 more gifts to get wrapped.

Ryan has been sick the last 2 days and I hope when he wakes up today that he is feeling better.

Today I have one last thing to share that I made up for Christmas.
I have been making these the last several years for different occasions but this is the first time this year I have made them. They are the soft tissue box holders. I found the Swankie Tissues at my local Giant grocery store.

I remember they day I made these. It was a few weeks ago when I threw my back out and I was trying to get something accomplished and was not in much of a mood to decorate them. I left the paper do all the work. Aren't those packs of tissues cute?
The sentiment on each tissue box is from the Half Full stamp set.
It is a million dollar achiever set created by Linda Bauwin.

Christmas Swankies:

Stamps: Half Full (sentiment)
Ink: Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Be Merry DSP
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Silver Metallic Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These are usually a very good seller for me with people ordering more than I've originally made but this year that was not the case. It's hard to say from one year to the next what will be a hit. Thankfully I can keep these for another year and try again. You just never know!

My thoughts today....

I'm off to make deviled eggs and get my cheese & bologna tray ready for tonight.
Busy, busy, busy! Tis the season!

Hopefully tonight I can relax and watch one of my favorite Christmas movies, Disney's - A Christmas Carol. I love How the Grinch Stole Christmas, too! I have been watching them all this year, it just makes me happy!

That is all for me now!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful Christmas Eve!

Last of the Tissue Box Holders

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Up early on this cloudy morning as some rain showers are moving thru.
The sun is to make it's return before lunch so hopefully it will turn out to be a beautiful day!

My girls are off to doggie day spa this morning and Ryan & I are headed to get bloodwork done before we can actually eat breakfast. Then the guys are getting haircuts before we pick the girls up from grooming. A busy day ahead! I hope to find some time later on to play at my stamp table, too, but we will see.

So, here is the last of my Tissue Box Holders that I made last week.
They are so fun and make a cute little gift to give to someone who is under the weather or has a bit of the sniffles from allergies.

These use the new Delightful Daisy DSP from the new SU Catalog!
That paper is so pretty!

Tissue Box Holders:

Stamps: Crosses of Hope
Ink: Night of Navy, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Delightful Daisy DSP
Accessories: Flourishing Phrases Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Crushed Curry, Wisteria Wonder & Calypso Coral Chevron Ribbon (retired), White Pearls, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My thoughts today....

Can't believe we are already at the last day of May!
Time is just passing by so quickly!
Hopefully today we get some sunshine!
Our local weather said that we've only had 11 "full" days of sunshine so far this year!
No wonder I feel sunshine deprived!!!

Thanks for stopping by & have a really great day!

Ah-chooooo Tissue Box

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Yesterday I spent some time at my stamp table since my hubby is working this entire holiday weekend..not by his choice. I spent quite a few hours down in my stamp room crafting away then I moved on to doing some cleaning of the family/craft room. My sweeper then started to give me a fit so that ended quickly! My hubby got home in time for supper but then got a call to go right back to work. This is the 2nd time this week he had to turn around and go back because something was not working. I really hate to complain but this job is going to be the death of him!

Anyways.....

Last Friday I watched a video of Angie Juda (ChicNScratch) where she made this box and I had to give it a try!
The link can be found here on her blog.
Thank you Angie for sharing this neat project! Always an inspiration!

The soft tissue packs are made by Kleenex and sold at the Dollar Tree. They come in variety of different colors. I love the different saying that are on each pack!

Tissue Box:

Stamps: Under the Weather (retired)
Ink: Pacific Point
Cardstock: Pacifif Point, Whisper White, Balloom Adventures DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, 1;' Circle Punch, Flourishing Phrases Framelits, Pacific Point Satin Ribbon, White Pearls, Dimensinals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

So much fun to make!
I will share the rest that I made later this week.

Patriotic Tissue Packs

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Up and at it bright & early this morning!

Today one of my stamp girls, Sista Karen, is having a Stampin Up party so I thought i'd get up and get a few things accomplished before heading out.  Looks like rain is on our doorstep...we really need it! The clouds are already here and it looks as if we've already had some showers come thru during the night.

So, I want to share with you these Patriotic Tissue Packs. My Mom found the soft pack of tissues at the Christmas Tree Shop not too long ago so of course I had to make a box for them & decorate.

The tissues had 10 packs in a package for $1.00 and they were all decorated differently with Red, White & Blue. I think they were pretty just the way they were! I used paper from a retired Patterns Paper Pad from a few years back and the sentiment is from the retired Star Spangled Day set. I really like these!

Patriotic Tissue Packs:

Stamps: Star Spangled Day
Ink: Real Red, Night of Navy
Cardstock: Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Patterns Paper Pad
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Punches, Stitched Grosgrain Ribbons, Glue Dots, Star Framelits, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue

Well, guess i'd better get my last sip of coffee in me and head to the shower!
A Stampin Up party awaits! So excited to see my group of stamp ladies and can't wait to see what projects we make! Fun, fun, fun!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

Rose Red Purse

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Heading out shortly to run some errands and pick up a few groceries but before I go I wanted to share the last of the purse bags that I made. Not sure if I will make anymore or not but they are so fun and I have been on a roll with them!

I used the Painted Blooms DSP for this set and the flower from the Crazy About You stamp set ( from the Occasions Mini). I thought about using the Painted Blooms stamp set with matching flowers but I was looking for something quick & easy so I used the flower that I stamped in Rose Red and punched it out with the Flower Medallion Punch. Added rhinestones to the center of the flower and attached it to the purse with a dimensional. My cardstock on the purse is Rose Red and punched with the retired Eyelet Border Punch. The Painted Blooms DSP is so pretty! I may have to order another pack before it goes away!

Have any of you tried to make one of these purses? If so, I'd love to see pictures! It always makes my day when some of my followers create things and then share their pictures with me!!

Well, that's all I have for today!
I will be back tomorrow with my card for the Merry Monday Challenge where I am the hostess!
Maybe you'll play along with us and get those Christmas cards made! Stop by tomorrow and check it out!

Thanks for stopping by & have a super Sunday!

Coastal Cabana Purse

Hello & Happy Friday!

Quick post today then I need to go get ready for my doctor appointment this afternoon! Hubby is only working a half day today and after the week he had at work...I know he's glad to add half a day to his weekend!

So, the other day I shared my purse and everything I made to put in it. Well, I made more!
They are kinda addicting once you get the first one made!

I know my pictures aren't the best but I tried to lighten them as much as I could with Picasa without washing them out. This purse is a real beauty in real life as I just love the Coastal Cabana color and this pretty paper! Again, I made the Tissue Box Holder, Post It Note Holder, RSVP Pen and 6 A2 size cards for in it.

I used my very loved stamp set, Mixed Bunch. I'm sad that it's retiring at the end of this catty but I will keep on using my set and coordinating Blossom Punch. I used flower stamps that have the coordinating punches to keep things quick & simple. All the cards are mail friendly and very flat so the recipient will not have to use extra postage.

Coastal Cabana Purse:

Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Sentiments from Wetlands
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Memento Black
Cardstock: Coastal Cabana, Best Year Ever DSP (from SAB 2015)
Accessories: SU Eyelet Border Punch (retired), Blossom Punch, Vintage Faceted Buttons, Coastal Cabana Baker's Twine, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue

If you want the directions on how to make these they are listed at the bottom of this post
Hope you have enjoyed my purses! I think there will be more to come!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
