Springtime Set

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

Congrats to the Kansas City Chiefs on their Super Bowl win last night!
After the 3rd quarter I wasn't quite sure they were going to pull it off but they did and did they ever!
Great game and i'm thrilled for Andy Reid and his team!

We're up early this morning after a late night!
Shawn is headed to work and I have a few things I need to do around the house this morning.
It's suppose to be a nice warm sunny day so I want to try to go sit out on the back porch a little and get some sun on some of my Psoriasis spots. It's been doing pretty decent this winter (no major flare ups) and a shot of sunshine will help what is around my hairline and my arms & legs. Last year at this time I started doing the UVB Light Therapy which helped so much!

So, today I have a set of cards I made up for the upcoming spring season.
This set uses all things retired and they are really pretty to boot!

My stamp set is called Polka Dots & Paisley from the SU Spring Mini Catalog from 2007.
The Petals & Paisley DSP coordinates with it.
I remember I was a demo back then when this was available.
Isn't it pretty?

Card Details:

Stamps: Polka Dots & Paisley (retired), Sincere Salutations (retired)
Ink: Tempting Turquoise (retired), Old Olive & Pretty in Pink Stampin Write Markers (retired)
Cardstock: So Saffron, Whisper White, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise (retired), Petals & Paisley DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Silver Metallic Enamel Dots (retired), So Saffron Grosgrain Ribbon (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I enjoyed making these and using up some of my older stuff!
This pack of DSP is almost gone.
You may see a few more cards with it but it's getting down to slim pickings!

More Pickles Please!

Hello & Happy Friday!

Finally made it to the weekend! WooHoo!
Today is also the last day of January!
That went awfully quick, didn't it?!

I have another pack of cards to share today that is pretty much the same as yesterday's except they are a different color!

The colors & prints are also part of the pack of Pickles DSP that I used yesterday.
Believe it or not, there is also another pack of DSP with different colors called Tickles! LOL
I am going to try to pull that out today and play with it.
Kelsey & Shady is coming over to hang out since she has the day off.
Who knows, maybe she will craft with me! Haha!
One can wish, right?

Card Details:

Stamps: Piece of Cake
Ink: Night of Navy, Old Olive & Night of Navy Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Old Olive, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Pickles DSP (retired)
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Cake Builder Punch, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Between yesterday's pack and today's i'm not sure which one I like better!
I like the color of both!

Pickles, Anyone?

Hello & Happy Thursday!

It was so nice yesterday having some nice bright sunshine for a change!
I got alot accomplished!
I have to start cleaning out the bathroom and moving things downstairs to the bathroom.
We will also be moving Ryan down there until the bathroom renovation is done.
There is no way Shawn or I could carry him up & down the steps every time he needs to go to the potty or shower. We decided to just move his bed and all his things down there for the meantime.
I told him I will be down there everyday stamping so he won't be alone.

How familiar are you with Stampin Up! products?
I came into the stamping scene in 2001 when my neighbor & BFF invited me to a workshop.
I have lots & lots of DSP since then.
Today I pulled out a pack from 2004 called Pickles and made some cards with it!

Do any of you remember this paper?
I have ALOT of the older SU papers in my stash.
Most of them are singled sided not like the double sided prints we have today.
I loved using this!
I paired up my Pickles DSP with a newer stamp set called A Piece of Cake.
It coordinates with the Cake Builder Punch.
I have had this set since last February and I am just now inking it up!

Card Details:

Stamps: Piece of Cake
Ink: Memento Black, Eggplant Envy (retired), Copic Markers
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, More Mustard (retired), Eggplant Envy (retired), Whisper White, Pickles DSP (retired)
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Cake Builder Punch, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I made these for my card lady because she said to use whatever I have in my stash.
I'm not sure she realizes just HOW MUCH is in my stash!! LOL

I pulled out my Eggplant Envy ink pad from the early 2000's.
It's a flip top one and surprisingly I did not have to re-ink it!
That just made me smile!

Haha!
I'm pretty sure my dear sweet hubby knows how much I have invested in my stamp room!
How bout you?

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Seasonal HB Cards

Hello & Happy Friday!

I've been up and at it since very early this morning!
Even before Shawn's alarm went off...
I had my coffee, made a pack of cards, rode my stationary bike, made breakfast for Ryan & I and got the laundry started!
Guess I was pretty productive but by mid afternoon I will probably be ready for a nap!

Yesterday my card lady called to order some cards.
She requested something seasonal for February!

This is what I whipped up for her...

I went searching for a pack of paper and pulled out this one called Love Blossoms from 2016.
There was alot of scraps in there so I just cut them up in 3/4 x 3 3/4 strips.
I had to remind myself to pay attention to the direction on each pattern.
I adhered them onto a piece of cardstock that measured 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 square.
A few of them are different as I used what scraps I had.

Card Details:

Stamps: Great Greetings (retired)
Ink: Rose Red (retired)
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Rose Red (retired), Whisper White, Love Blossoms DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Rose Red Enamel Dots (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love using up the old stash and all those scraps made some very pretty cards!

I don't know if there is a technique name for using up scraps like this but I love using this style for something different! I think it makes the card very colorful & eye catching, too!

Floral Birthday Card

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Happy New Year to you all!

The last 2 days are a blur to me as I have been working feverishly to get all our ceramic trees wrapped up and put away. That is a job in itself!
I also got the big tree and decorations all put away with Shawn's help!
I'm hurting from head to toe!

Today I am not doing much but sitting with my heating pad on my lower back and taking it easy!
Shawn is back to work and life gets back to normal.

I need a couple birthday cards this month so I decided to get started on some!

I have scraps of this retired Garden Impressions DSP left so I was happy to give it some love and create this card for some January birthdays.

Card Details:

Stamps: Beautiful Bouquet
Ink: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Garden Impressions DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Rhinestone, Dimensional, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love the mix of pretty patterns and a pop of sparkle from the rhinestone!

Christmas Pines

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well!
This morning we are waking up to snow!
Only calling for an inch or two....just enough to create a mess.
It also got really cold again. Yesterday was high 50's, today it's not to get above freezing!
Burrr, Stay warm!

Today I am sharing a quick card that my stamp girls made on Saturday.

The paper is from 2018 called Dashing Along.
It was a promotional paper that I earned but those prints were out before in a small paper pad a few years ago.
I cut up strips of 3/4 x 3 and we layered them on to a piece of cardstock then trimmed it to make the ends even. I really love the look of that and it also helps to use up those small scraps!
My sentiment comes from the retired Christmas Pines set.

Card Details:

Stamps: Christmas Pines (retired)
Ink: Garden Green
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Gold Glimmer Paper, Dashing Along DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes, Circle Layering Framelits, Pretty Pines Thinlits (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My girls did beautifully putting this together!
They stamped a Garden Green Pine on the inside and added a nice saying to finish it up!
So fun and so festive!

My thoughts today...

Today I am gonna sit down and get my Christmas cards addressed and ready for the mail!
Christmas is 2 weeks today!
My hubby is on vacation the next few days so if I don't get them done today they won't get done until late next week. Wish me luck!

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Snowman Card

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

Another yukky rainy day is on tap here!
Not sure what I am gonna get accomplished today since our power has been off & on since after we went to bed last night.
Today might be the perfect day to get out that Christmas puzzle and start working on it!
I love puzzles!

Anyways, I have a super quick Christmas card to show you that I made for my customers recent order. This is another card for a little girl.

Again, I left the paper do all the work and added a quick sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas set.
The Let It Snow Specialty DSP is so pretty and has glitter added to it!

Card Details:

Stamps: Itty Bitty Christmas
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Let It Snow Specialty DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

For this card I took some scraps and made a panel with 3/4 x 3 inch pieces of DSP.
I think it adds some interest under my snowman panel and it's a great way to use up those small scraps!

I also love the colors & prints in this paper!
I've used alot of this paper this holiday season.
I still need a few more gift card holders so I hope to maybe use the rest up!

Indeed!

That is all for now!

A Wicked Birthday

Hello & Happy Friday!

This week seemed to fly by for a change!
I am looking forward to the weekend.

Yesterday as I was looking thru my address book I realized a friends birthday is next week.
Since it's so close to Halloween I made her card a little bit Halloween-y!

I pulled out my packs of DSP in the Brights & Regals and found Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape & Pumpkin Pie in this Gingham print and I just kinda went from there and everything fell into place nicely!
I think she will like it since she loves Halloween!
Nothing scary.....just all around cuteness!

Card Details:

Stamps: Wonderfully Wicked
Ink: Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Whisper White, Regals & Brights DSP Packs
Accessories: Stylish Scroll EF, Circle Layering Framelits, Granny Apple Green Ribbon, Gorgeous Grape Glittered Enamel Dots, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Lots of birthdays coming up and with the craziness of the holidays coming, I thought i'd better get a jump on those cards! It was a fun day!

Sketch Challenge 767

Good Morning & Happy Saturday!

Hope your weekend is going well so far!

This week I spotted the Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers and decided to give it a try!
It has been many years since I played along with their challenges so I felt a little rusty.
I hope I remember how to upload my card to their gallery! LOL

This is this week's sketch and my card samples...

My day started off yesterday with a spider in the shower that I can say was washed down the drain since he gave me quite a scare! I'm not one bothered by spiders but when it invades my personal space...yep, he suffered the consequences!

The spider on my card is really cute and diecuts out just perfectly as did my WICKED diecut!
I paired it up with some of last years DSP called Bubble & Toil. I still have 2 full sheets and a bunch of scraps left so this design used a bit of it up.
I added a purple circle clip to my sentiment panel that has been in my stash for along time.
I tied a small piece of the Black Organdy Glittered Ribbon on it.
Then I found some purple rhinestones in my bag of Rhinestones, Pearls and other embellishments.
I had to use them as they matched my Gorgeous Grape perfectly!
This is all flat for easier mailing. My little spider is popped up with a mini dimensional though but it should not affect mailing.

Card Details:

Stamps: Wonderfully Wicked
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Basic Black, Whisper White, Bubble & Toil DSP (retired)
Accessories: Wicked Dies, Circle Clip, Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon, Purple Rhinestones, Mini Dimensional, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm happy with the outcome of this even though my DSP looks very busy.
Each piece was cut at 7/8 x 4 1/4. Some were a bit longer that I had to trim off.
Was fun and a great way to use up some of those scrap pieces!

Illuminated Christmas

Hello & Happy Friday!

The weekend is upon us again!
I'm having a rough start to the long holiday weekend after my hubby was at work until very late last night. It was well after midnight until our heads hit the pillow.
I hate days like that because they just throw me off schedule.
And then I was up shortly after 6 this morning which makes for a very long day!
No doubt i'll be asleep before 7 tonight!

Today I am going to make this post short & sweet.
I pulled out another retired stamp set and used some pretty old Basic Grey paper called Eskimo Kisses.

I was digging thru a bunch of Basic Grey papers and found these couple scraps and I made another pack of cards around the colors in the paper.

Card Details:

Stamps: Illuminated Christmas (retired), Christmas Pines (sentiment, retired)
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Basic Grey- Eskimo Kisses
Accessories: Holly EF (retired), Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This pack is also very mail friendly!
Basic Grey has some really nice patterned papers!
I have several packs that I need to go thru and start using.
Is Basic Grey still around? Can't say I have seen any....

My thoughts today...

That's for sure!
I'm on my 2nd cup!
Hope the caffeine soon kicks in!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Endless Wishes

Good Morning & Happy Friday!

It's raining out at the moment but it's so much cooler than it has been in days!
Finally able to turn off the AC and give it a break for a few days!
It also reminds me that Fall is not far off!

I'm way late updating this morning as I was up late last night.
Shawn stayed up a bit past half time for the football game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Philadelphia Eagles. At the start of the 4th quarter the skies opened up and it stormed like crazy.
They called the game after about 25 minutes and the Ravens had the lead with 26-15.
Trace McSorley was the QB for the Ravens and he absolutely killed it!
If anyone is familiar with Penn State football....he played college ball there.
I really truly hope Baltimore keeps on him the 53 man roster after next weeks game.
He is quite impressive to watch!

Anyways, as I said, it's a rainy morning here.
I slept in and now it's time to share a pretty set of Christmas cards with you!
I made this set last week after going thru some older stuff.
I feel so accomplished this year moving ahead with upcoming holidays and using up what I have!

Endless Wishes is the stamp set I used here.
It was available in 2014.
It's loaded with many different words so you can create your own sentiments!
The snowflakes in this set are pretty too!
The Nordic Noel DSP on these cards is also from 2014.

Card Details:

Stamps: Endless Wishes (retired)
Ink: Soft Sky (retired), Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Soft Sky (retired), Whisper White, Nordic Noel DSP (retired)
Circle Layering Framelits, Red Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

For the panel with all the different scraps of DSP on, I used a scrap piece of cardstock that measured 2 3/4 X 4 1/2. I took 3/4 inch strips and adhered them to the cardstock. Once I filled it up I trimmed the DSP so it was even all the way around and glued it to my Soft Sky layer.
Easy peasy and a great way to use up snippets & scraps!
This set of cards is also very mail friendly!
Nothing is popped up!
