Blue Jay HB

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I am sharing a card I made for Audrey's last order. She requested a card for a good friend of hers that is a bird watcher and loves blue jays! I knew I had a blue jay stamp but wasn't quite sure if I had gotten rid of it since I recently did a big clean out of my stamps. Luckily I found it still in my drawer!

Card Details:

Stamps: Northwoods Stamp Co, Party Pants (retired SAB 2016)
Ink: Memento Black, Blueberry Bushel, Stampin Blends-Blueberry Bushel, Smoky Slate & Old Olive
Cardstock: Azure Afternoon, Blueberry Bushel, Basic White
Accessories: Peaceful Greenery 3D EF, Peace on Earth Dies, Pecan Pie Ribboned Adhesive Backed Dots (retired Online Exclusives), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I really surprised myself with this one! I loved how it turned out and so did Audrey!

Sunflowers 3D EF Technique

 Hello & Happy Wednesday, Friends!

Today I have a cool card to share with you that I made over the weekend after watching several video's on You Tube on how to do this technique. It is called Wood Burning but your not actually burning anything. You just drag your ink pad over a debossed image and it gives it that wood burnt look. Once you let that dry you color in your image with Sponge Daubers or Blending Brushes. It turns out so cool looking!

Card Details:

Stamps: Party Pants (retired SAB 2016)
Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Garden Green
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Sunflowers 3D EF, Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins, Sponge Daubers, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This worked really well on this embossing folder because the images are very deep. I will be trying to again with another embossing folder! It's so fun and the WOW effect you get when it's finished.

HB to You!

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday, Everyone!

Hope your hump day is off to a good start!
We are in for a warm up this afternoon!
It got to about 36 degrees yesterday which helped melt a good bit of snow that we picked up on Sunday. It's going to jump to 50 and then possibly the low 60's tomorrow! I have been loving the warmer temps lately, definitely puts a spring in my step!

I am planning a day at my stamp table this afternoon to play with some things that i've not inked up yet! One day last week I sat and created a set of Happy Birthday cards to put on my card rack that used all retired things. I even pulled some fun embossed elements from the "leftover" bag of projects.

Card Details:

Stamps: Party Pants (SAB 16)
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: Mango Melody, Basic White, Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, Birthday Bonanza DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Confetti EF (retired), Circle Layering Framelits, Decorative Dots EF (retired), Champagne Rhinestones, Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The embossed circles were from a leftover project that I wanted to use up.
Aren't those papers perfect for any birthday?
I will most likely use these on my card lady's next order unless she wants something specific.

I always love pulling out the old stuff and breathing new life into them!

Yummy In My Tummy

Hello & Happy Friday!

The weekend is upon us!
It's going to be a rainy one here in PA and hopefully it will help wash away the pollen.
Today my hubby has the day off so we are going to run some errands.
I need to pick up some snacks for a Stamp Day w Friends tomorrow morning.
I have 2 friends coming over to catch up and make a few cards!

Anyways, I have a cute card to share that I made for a card order.
It's for a little girl that is turning 3 soon.
This was one tough card to create since I am very limited on kids stamps!

This cute little guy comes from a retired set called Yummy In My Tummy.
I stamped him on a piece of paper from the How Sweet It Is DSP then fussy cut him out.
I added a sentiment from a retired SaleABration set called Party Pants.
I punched out a balloon with the Balloon Bouquet Punch using the same DSP and since it's for a girl, I added a little bow using some Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon.

Card Details:

Stamps: Yummy In My Tunny (retired), Party Pants (retired SAB 15)
Ink: Memento Black, Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, How Sweet It Is DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Balloon Bouquet Punch, Rhinestones, Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dots, White Twine, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I've really got to work on getting some stamps for kids for in the future!
I am pleased that this one turned out nicely and hope it's not too scary for a little one.

Thinking of You Card Set

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Happy Super Bowl Day too!

We are not fans of either team but we will watch as we usually do every year!
I made a bunch of food earlier today since the weather wasn't fit to be out in. We had snow this morning for a few hours then it changed over to sleet/freezing rain and now it is all rain....heavy at that! It's one sloppy mess to sum it up! As for Super Bowl Sunday...I am dressed in my Baltimore Ravens gear and ready to watch!

I have a card set to share real quick then off to watch some football!
This set was made for my customer order a few weeks ago and she requested this Winter's Frost DSP. Perfect for this cold, snowy weather we've been having...wouldn't you say so?

Card Details:

Stamps: Party Pants SAB 2016
Ink: Island Indigo
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Whisper White, Winter's Frost Specialty DSP
Accessories: Lg Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Quick & easy!

I'll be back tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Card Set

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Yesterday my friend stopped in for a visit and we had a nice lunch together chatting & laughing!
That always does alot of good for the soul and it was great spending time with her!

Did any of you witness the total solar eclipse that happened in the afternoon?
I sat out on the back porch waiting for something but nothing too drastic happened here. We were too far away from where it was to pass thru unfortunately. I will say though that the sky just kinda got a werid hue in color and the birds stopped flying around. There was almost a silence to everything. I did however watch the eclipse on tv as it moved across the country and it was rather exciting how it went totally dark in some places! They say the next one will be April 8, 2024 and it will go straight over us in PA then. I will be prepared and get myself some special glasses to watch because it's such a neat part of history!

Anyways, today I am going to make my way downstairs to work on some Halloween things!
It will be here before ya know it!

I have a card to share today that I whipped up with some retired stuff. It's always a great feeling when you can pull out an old set and paper to create!
This is a set of cards for my last order.

Hello Honey & Mossy Meadow were two of my absolute favorite In Colors! Sadly, they are retired now but they will live on in my collection for a bit longer!

Happy Birthday Card Set:

Stamps: Party Pants SAB 2016
Ink: Cajun Craze, Mint Macaron
Cardstock: Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Botanical Garden DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, MS Border Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Small White Pearls, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Totally fun set of cards that my customer loved!

Thinking of You

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Quick update then we have a busy day ahead on this Memorial Day weekend.
It's crazy how hot & humid it is outside but I guess that's why they call it the start of the summer season. I call it yukky!

Anyways, here's another card that was made with the Botanical Builder Framelits. I really love those dies!

The sentiment comes from the SaleABration set Party Pants from 2016.

Thinking of You Card:

Stamps: Party Pants SAB 2016
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, Cajun Craze, Whisper White, Botanical Gardens DSP
Accessories: Botanical Builder Framelits, White Pearl, Tombow Liquid Glue

That's all for me today!
I'm off to get some flowers planted and make a fruit salad for tomorrow! Yummy!

Thanks for stopping by & have a super great day!

Happy Birthday Box & Card

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
It's dreary & rainy here as it's been most of this past week with more rain coming half of this coming week. I won't complain since we really need it. I am happy to report though that my lilac bush is in bloom and smelling so good! It's only taken 4 years for it to get more than one bloom!

So, I had a chance to sneak off to my craft room Friday and play a bit. I made this little Happy Birthday card & box as a treat for a dear friend. Her birthday was last Monday. Yes, i'm a bit late.

My card is a 3 X 3 so it will fit inside the box.

The box is made from these Gift Card Enclosures that happen to be retired. I've had these for a year or so and totally forgot I had them till I cleaned a drawer out and found them. I took one and with my Simply Score Board I scored on 3 of the half moon panels at 1/2 in  from the original scored line and that creates the box. I adhered it and then added my belly band and decorated it. I think there pretty neat all decorated.

In my box I added a pack of this birthday cake sugar free gum that I found at the store. I will add something else before I give it to the birthday girl next weekend. I always try to make alittle something for her. Happy Belated Birthday, Emily!!

Happy Birthday Card & Box:

Stamps: Party Pants SAB '16
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Mint Macaron, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, It's My Party DSP
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Balloon Punch, White Baker's Twine, Mint Macaron Lace Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Liquid Tombow

Before I close I want to give an update on my hubby and his progress.
He had a doctor appointment this past Tuesday. All is healing nicely and he is bothered with the heal which is normal for this type of procedure.  He is to continue walking as much as he can tolerate it and when resting he is to keep his foot elevated and iced but swelling hasn't been too much of an issue. This coming week the stitches will come out and it could be a few more weeks before he can return to work but so far so good!

That is all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!
