Jar of Flowers

 Hello & Happy Monday!

Today is the Labor Day holiday here in the US.
Kelsey, Corey & Shady are coming over for a cookout this afternoon!
Our weather is still very nice but they are saying tomorrow the humidity will come back.

I have a set of cards to share that I made for my card lady on her last order.
This is another set that has no saying's on at her request...

I just love this stamp set and the different variety of flower stamps that come with it!
The coloring is a bit hard on my hands so sometime's I will just color them over a matter of days until they are all done.
I said before that I made a mask for each flower stamp so when I stamp my jar I don't cover the flowers.
This set does come with a punch which I still have not used.

Card Details:

Stamps: Jar of Flowers, Lots to Celebrate (jar)
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Just Jade DSP
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Bumble Bee Ribbon, Just Jade Enamel Dots, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

On this set of cards I used the jar stamp from the Lots to Celebrate stamp set.
I like that it is just a clear jar than the one in the Jar of Flowers stamp set that has details to color or shade the jar.
Lots to Celebrate stamp set comes from Million Dollar Achiever, Susie Wood.
I've not used the stamp set other than the jar so far but I can see lots of Fall & Winter cards coming from it!
And y'all know that Fall is coming!

Pretty Sunflowers

Hello & Happy Friday, Everyone!

I'm glad the weekend is here and I have no plans!
The last several weekends have been busy so it will be nice to actually sleep in for a change!
Tomorrow is to be a rainy/stormy day here with what's left of the hurricane/tropical storm.
We really could use some rain...
The trees are starting to drop dried up leaves and the grass looks about the same.

Today I have a set of cards to share that were made for a customer order.
It's that time of year where she wants everything sunflower!

I started these with a Thick Whisper White cardbase then added a layer of Bumble Bee cardstock,
I took the sunflowers from the Jar of Flowers set and stamped it randomly all over the Bumble Bee cardstock in Versamark. I did not want a bold image so that is why I went with the Versamark.
The bottom half of the layer I added a piece of Bumble Bee DSP with those cute polka dots on it!
Then I stamped my sunflower image from Celebrating Sunflowers stamp set on Whisper White cardstock with Memento Black ink. I diecut them with the Circle Layering Dies then colored them with my Stampin Blends. Since we do not have Bumble Bee in the Stampin Blends I used a mix of Light Daffodil Delight and Dark Mango Melody. The center was colored with both Light & Dark Cinnamon Cider and the leaves were colored with both Light & Dark Just Jade Blends.
Lastly, I added 2 Cinnamon Cider Enamel Dots & a bow tied with Bumble Bee Ribbon.
Everything is flat so it should not be too bulky for mailing.

Card Details:

Stamps: Jar of Flowers, Celebrating Sunflowers
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends, Versamark
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Bumble Bee, Whisper White, Bumble Bee DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Cinnamon Cider Enamel Dots, Bumble Bee Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My card lady did not want a saying on these so she can use them for different things.
She loves to write her own messages inside which she is very good at!
Me, not so much!
These were fun to make and i'm pleased with how they turned out!

Jar of Flowers

Hello & Happy Monday, Everyone!

Hope you all had a nice weekend! It sure got hot & humid here again! Today we are expecting highs in the mid 90's with high humidity and it's my cleaning day. Blah! Some days I wish I still had that swimming pool! LOL

Today I have a set of cards to share that my card lady requested. She saw the one card I made with the Jar of Flowers stamp set and immediately asked if I could make her a set but with a Thinking of You sentiment. No problem!

I started out by pulling out my Flowers for Every Season DSP which BTW is so pretty!
It is double sided so that makes it even tougher to cover the one side! I cut my paper down to strips so I had enough to use for 5 cards which left me with a couple scraps left now. I layered them onto a panel of Whisper White cardstock then pulled out some Magenta Madness Ribbon and taped it to the  backside. Then I adhered it to my Magenta Madness card base.

I stamped my images with a mask using Memento Black ink so I could use my Stampin Blends to color it. Once that was done I stamped my sentiment on a small oval in Misty Moonlight and diecut a small Oval Layering scallop and layered under the sentiment oval. I adhered my card together, added my Magenta Madness bow with a glue dot and lastly added my In Color Enamel Dots. I love the pop of color from the flowers and the In Color Enamel Dots! Everything is glued flat for easy mailing!

Card Details:

Stamps: Jar of Flowers, Lots to Celebrate
Ink: Memento Black, Misty Moonlight, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Magenta Madness, Whisper White, Misty Moonlight, Flowers for Every Season DSP
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Magenta Madness Ribbon, In Color Enamel Dots, Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My card lady was so thrilled when I walked in the door and handed her these cards!
She loves her cards and sends lots of them out daily!
I'm so thankful for her....she keeps me busy!

Jar of Flowers & Framed for You

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Our weather today is cloudy with showers off & on all day.
Definitely much cooler but still muggy.
Shawn is off today and tomorrow so we might try to get a bike ride in as long as we do not get any thunderstorms. It's been almost a year since we last had our bikes out so this trip will most likely kill both of us! LOL

Today I have a set of cards to share that I made for my card lady.
I always show her the cards I make and she saw one from a week or so ago and asked if I could make her a pack of sympathy cards using the the same design.

I used the Jar of Flowers stamp set and those pretty sunflower stamps in the set.

I used a template that I made with a Post It Note to mask the jar so the top of it did not stamp over the flowers. It's a quick & simple tip when using this set. I stamp my flower image on the sticky part of the Post It Note then trim around the flowers. I keep them in my stamp case for the next time I need to use it.
My flowers were colored with Stampin Blends then I covered them with a bit of Wink of Stella for a shimmery look.
The tag is made with the Ornate Frames Dies and I added a piece of Linen Thread that I tied into a bow. The sentiment comes from the set Framed for You which is a Million Dollar Achiever set designed by Terri Gaines. A really cool set which you will see me use alot in the coming days!

Card Details:

Stamps: Jar of Flowers, Framed for You
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends, Misty Moonlight
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Bumble Bee DSP
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Ornate Frames Dies, Wink of Stella, Misty Moonlight In Color Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Lots of coloring on these but I took my time and spread it out over a few days so my hands did not hurt.
I love the jar and flower sets we have this year probably because I love sunflowers!

I'm not sure what's going on with Blogger today!
I know they have been redoing their websight.
I have not had any issues until today!
Been trying to get my pictures loaded and put them in the right column but it's not cooperating so I apologize that my photo's are all over the place.
I hate change so sometimes I wish they would leave things alone!!

Jar of Flowers Thanks Card

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I slept in this morning for a change!
I guess you can say that I am becoming an early bird since the last few months I am up when Shawn gets up for work. I noticed it's staying darker a bit longer in the mornings...

Yesterday I played at my stamp table after lunch.
It was a good day for creating!
I usually stamp in the afternoons when my soap opera's are on but the last several months they have been repeats because of the Covid stuff so I haven't been turning the tv on.
I pulled out several new stamp sets and just played and colored.
Jar of Flowers hasn't seen much ink time so I made a Thank You card for on my card rack.

This time I used the sunflowers image.....my favorite!
Again, when I started I stamped my flower image on a post it note and fussy cut just the bottom portion that would hang out over the top of my jar.
This is to keep any of the jar lines from being stamped over top my flowers.

I stamped my flower image first on my cardstock then placed my post it note mask over top of them.
Then I stamped my jar image and voila....no lines show thru to my flowers once my mask was taken off! I was pleased about that!

Then I pulled out a bunch of Stampin Blends and colored my image.
My Thanks tag was diecut from the Ornate Frames Dies from the Halloween products from last year. The Ornate Frames Dies carried over into our new catalog. They are so pretty and I find myself using them quite a bit!

Card Details:

Stamps: Jar of Flowers, Here's A Card (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Misty Moonlight, Stampin Blends (both Balmy Blue, both Just Jade, both Misty Moonlight, both Cinnamon Cider, Light Daffodil Delight, Dark Mango Melody)
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Misty Moonlight DSP
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Ornate Frames Dies, White Baker's Twine, Bumble Bee Enamel Dots, Wink of Stella, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hard to tell in my photo but I did add Wink of Stella to my sunflower petals.
I love the shimmer it gives them!

Jar of Flowers Retirement

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I hope your all staying cool in one way or another!
I have been trying to spend time at my stamp table as a way to stay cool.
Yesterday afternoon I had an hour to spare so I pulled out the Jar of Flowers stamp set and made a pretty Retirement card for my card rack...

At my last Stamp Day w/ Friends event Miss Emily bought my last (lady) Retirement card.
I made myself a note of that so I could get a few more made up.

This card uses a variety of stamps.
I also used the Masking Technique to have my flowers over top of the jar.
Had I not used the masking technique the top of the jar would show thru on my flowers.
It worked like a charm and I would suggest to everyone that purchases this set to make a mask for each flower stamp in that set! It will save you time & frustration! (ask me how I know!)
I used a variety of new In Colors on this! The Magenta Madness color sure is bright!

Card Details:

Stamps: Jar of Flowers, Lots to Celebrate, Many Mates (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Misty Moonlight and Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Magenta Madness, Bumble Bee, Misty Moonlight, Whisper White, Flowers for Every Season DSP
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, In Color Enamel Dots, Post It Note (to create mask), Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

If you look close enough at my jar you will notice it is different from the jar that comes in the Jar of Flowers stamp set. The jar I used on this card came from the Lots to Celebrate stamp set.
It is new from the August - July 2020 Mini Catalog.
It is also a million dollar achiever set created by Susie Wood.
I think it's going to be one of those sets i'll reach for over & over again! Very cute!

Hope you like this card!
It was really fun to create!
