Well Suited HB

 Hello & Happy Monday!

Can you believe we are at the last Monday of January 2021, already?!

Hope you all had a nice weekend!
It was a very cold but sunny one here in south central PA.
We pretty much hibernated other than a quick trip to the Post Office Saturday morning.
Snow & ice is in the forecast for this evening. I hope it holds off until Shawn gets in from work.

I've recently had a small card order to work on.
My card lady needed a masculine birthday card but gave me no other details about it.
I've recently ordered the Well Suited DSP from Stampin Up and cut into a piece of it to create this card. Since I wasn't sure what to make I just kept this one very simple.

I was going to add a sailboat to it from the Sailing Home Bundle but in the end I just left it because I just wasn't sure who the card was for. I usually make a card around someone's likes, hobbies or season.
My card lady said it was perfect and was quite pleased with this.

The colors & prints in this pack of DSP is very masculine and works well on it's own.
I did not get the matching Handsomely Suited stamp set & dies just yet.
My sentiment is from a retired but amazing masculine set called Guy Greetings.
It really is one of my "go to" sets for masculine cards!

Card Details:

Stamps: Guy Greetings (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Well Suited DSP
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Night of Navy Enamel Star (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My thoughts today...

This was how I dressed to go out Saturday morning.
Ryan says to me....you act like it's cold out, Mom!
Yes it is!!!
I don't handle the cold well anymore but then again I don't handle the heat & humidity well either.
What's one to do?!

Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a wonderful day!
Stay warm, too!

Shawn's 2020 Masculine Calendar

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I don't think we are off to a good start this morning as my hubby overslept and was running out the door. I got up to help him get on his way and stepped in doggy throw up. I really hope this is no indication of what our day is going to be like?!
I'm not sure which dog got sick during the night because both of them seem fine this morning.

I got hubby on his way and cleaned up the doggy mess so that means I can now get my blog updated!
I have said many times in the last few weeks that I wanted to get a calendar made for Shawn for his desk at work. The company is pouring lots of money into updating a very run down building and the recent renovation on the offices were completed in November.

I will share the first 6 months today and then tomorrow share the rest.
This is what it looked like packaged up with all 12 months sitting behind the frame.
Once he gets it to work he can remove the ribbon and store the rest in a drawer until he needs them.

I used sentiments that have meaning to us.
Hopefully it will make him smile when he reads them each month!
He has a deep love of cars so, of course, I had to include the Geared Up Garage!
He loves lighthouses and enjoys fishing.
We also love to ride our bikes which we don't get to do as often anymore.
He is definitely the best husband and is loved lots & lots!
Each month has a special meaning and I was happy to personalize it for him!
He said he loved it and will proudly display it on his desk!

I won't list everything I used on these so if you have any questions please feel free to shoot me an email and i'll get back to you!

Masculine Birthday

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope your all doing well.
Not much has changed here and Ryan is still having issues and most likely will end up going to a specialist.

With all that has been going on I realized that I missed my Dad's birthday.
Now granted I have not seen him in over 3 years but I always send him a card.
I really miss him.
Here is the card I made and will get it out in the mail today.

Card Details:

Stamps: Guy Greetings, Truly Tailored
Ink: Tranquil Tide, Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Tranquil Tide, Very Vanilla, True Gentleman DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Night of Navy Twine, Clear Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Truly Tailored

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
My hubby heads back to work today. I'm not quite sure how he will get there since he travels thru Ellicott City, Maryland everyday. Just 2 weeks ago he took me down to his work and we went thru Ellicott City. It's a busy place for tourists with lots of shopping & eating. As most know this past Sunday it flooded out...really bad! He traveled many of those roads to get to his job and with a State of Emergency he will have to find another way. Some roads have been completely washed away.
Thoughts & prayers for those folks as they try to make sense of this and move forward.

So, I had a chance to sit and stamp most everyday this holiday weekend and that never happens!
I made SO many cards that I can't wait to share with you.
Today I have a card made using the Truly Tailored Suite from the Occasions catalog.

Again I used the Tailored Tag Punch to create this card using the True Gentlemen DSP.
I'm sad to see this suite retire this Thursday. I love the colors & prints in the paper and the stamp set is great for making those masculine cards! The entire suite is retiring with the exception of this amazing punch! It is carrying over to the new Annual Catalog come June 1st! WooHoo!

Card Details:

Stamps: Truly Tailored, Guy Greetings
Ink: Night of Navy, Tranquil Tide
Cardstock: Tranquil Tide, Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, True Gentlemen DSP
Accessories: Tailored Tag Punch, Tranquil Tide Ribbon, Night of Navy Enamel Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hope you like!
I really love this punch!
It can make all kinds of interesting backgrounds with using DSP's!

Guy Greetings

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Our weather this week so far has been amazing but that said...the pollen count is VERY high so I have been trying not to have my windows open too much.

Today I have a masculine card to share that we made last Friday.
The girls always ask for masculine cards!

I try to keep these cards as simple as possible.
The girls have hunters in their families so they really liked this card.

Card Details:

Stamps: In the Meadow, Guy Greetings
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, Paper Pizzazz DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Tailored Tag Punch, Cajun Craze Enamel Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love the plaid paper but have no idea where I got it at.
Glad that we used it up!

Guy Greetings

Hello & Happy Friday!

So happy the weekend is here!
I busted my butt this week on Easter Treats & a card order.
Now I need to sit and create some cards to make with my stamp friends next weekend!
I hope some creativity comes to me! LOL

Today I have a masculine birthday card.
I left the paper do all the work!

I got this pack of Designer Series Paper a few weeks ago and wasn't really keen on it at first.
It's grown on me and one thing I do like are the colors in it!

Card Details:

Stamps: Guy Greetings
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, True Gentleman DSP
Accessories: Tailored Tag Punch, Gold Metallic Enamel Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Yep, quick & easy and flat for mailing!

Masculine Herringbone Card

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I have a card to share that I made for an upcoming masculine birthday.
I used the herringbone technique for this.

I used 1/2 inch strips of paper from the True Gentleman DSP pack.
I really like the colors and prints of it.

Card Details:

Stamps: Guy Greetings
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, True Gentleman DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Bow Builder Punch, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm not sure on the bow but wanted to give it a try!

Waterfront HB

Good Morning & Happy Friday!

Yep, it's another rainy, dreary morning here in south central PA.
It's a great day if your a duck!
Actually I will take the rain over snow any day and our temps are above freezing!

So, today I have a card to share that was made for my customer.
She asked for 2 Birthday cards for her priests.
Oh BOY....I am struggling with this one!
My one friend suggested something with this Waterfront set and since my set has not yet seen ink, here goes my first try with it!

My thought for this was something peaceful & tranquil for a priest.
What do you think?
If anyone has any suggestions please drop me a comment. I still have one more to make and not sure if I should make another go at a card like this or something different.
Comments welcomed!

Card Details:

Stamps: Waterfront, Guy Greetings
Ink: Tranquil Tide, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Tranquil Tide, True Gentlemen DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Decorative Dots EF (retired), Night of Navy Enamel Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This was my first time using this set.
It took a few trial & errors to get it right and I love the final outcome!
The Waterfront stamp set is a million dollar achiever stamp set that was created by Connie Heisey.

In The Meadow

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today I have a quick card to share then i'm off to work on yet another card order!
My customer really keeps me busy!

My card today uses the In The Meadow stamp set that retired in May.
We made this card at my stamp get together last weekend with my friends!

I tried to keep this one more masculine with using the Woodlands Embossing Folder and the deer image. My friends have mostly men in their lives so I know they could use this type of card.

In The Meadow Card:

Stamps: In The Meadow, Guy Greetings (sentiment)
Ink: Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Woodlands EF, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hope ya like it!

My thoughts today.....

It's been a crazy week to say the least with Shawn not feeling good and things being busy!
I am looking forward to "hopefully" a low keyed weekend!

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a terrific day!

Moon Lake

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Sorry for a late update today.
It was late afternoon until I made my way downstairs.
Ryan wanted a haircut and I was working on laundry. A mother's day is never done!

I also had some happy mail in the mailbox today!
A friend hooked me up with a SU Demo from Minnesota that had the Moon Lake stamp set for sale. I have been searching for this set since it was available maybe 3-4 years ago. The prices people wanted on Ebay for it were just too high. Anyways, this lady sold it to me at a reasonable price and it arrived today!
I love happy mail!

So, of course I had to make a card with it!

This one was a quick & simple card made with monochromatic colors. I cannot wait to make another card with this set and sit & color it in! I have seen so many pretty cards done with this set and i'm beyond thrilled that it's now in my collection! Thank you, Nan, for the hookup!

Happy Birthday Card:

Stamps: Moon Lake, Guy Greetings
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Moraccan DSP
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was happy this set arrived so soon since I was in need a of some masculine cards!
This set is perfect for that!

My thoughts today....

I am ready for the weekend!

I am SO excited!!!
And to top it off...the weather is going to be BEAUTIFUL!!!

That is all for me today!
I will be back tomorrow with something...maybe another Moon Lake card, we shall see!
Till then...

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful evening!

Masculine Happy Birthday

Hello & Happy Saturday!

A dreary Saturday here so far. No sunshine but no rain either. I sure wish we'd get one or the other!
Today there is alot of activity in the neighborhood as Red Lion is having their Yard Sale Days. Since we have lived here we have not participated but i'm thinking maybe next year because we have stuff building up in our storage room that we don't use anymore. It'd be a great way to get rid of some of that stuff plus I have tons of stamp stuff I could probably sell off too!

Anyways, today I have a card to share that I made with a new SU set called Wood Words.
When I first saw this set I was not really impressed with it but as always with me it takes me seeing lots of cool idea's before I get  taken in by it! I tried to keep this card more on the masculine side and it did not hurt that the July 4th holiday is approaching quickly so I put the 2 together.

The recipient of this card is a blogging friends husband who I have been watching their Facebook Live  video's the last few months and always enjoy seeing the 2 showing us lots of cool card idea's. Yes, he stamps each week in the video's! Such a lovely couple they are and I enjoy tuning in each week to watch! The husband is celebrating his birthday...actually today! Yes, I am way late on mailing it out but better late than never! Hope he likes it! Happy Birthday, Tim!

Happy Birthday, Tim Card:

Stamps: Wood Words, Guy Greetings
Ink: Night of Navy, Real Red
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Red Rhinestones, Night of Navy Baker's Twine, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Since getting the Wood Words Bundle (yes it comes with matching dies!) I have come to really like this set and see many cards & projects in my future!!

My thoughts today....

You know because every crafter needs lots of supplies at all times whether we need them or not!
I know I am not the only one.....am I???

Well, that is all for me today!
Shawn & I are getting ready to head down to Maryland to a park that has waterfalls for a quick walk/hike. I always enjoy being out in the peace & quiet of nature as long as a snake does not cross my path! It won't be so quiet if that happens!!!!

Thanks for stopping by today & have a wonderful weekend!

World's Greatest Dad

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a nice weekend!
It surely got hot & humid here in PA yesterday! Time to crank on the AC before I croak! LOL

It's been rough getting back in to a normal routine with hubby going back to work today.
I found my way back to my stamp room this afternoon and I wanted to get a Father's Day card made to send to my Dad...

It's been 2 years since I have seen or heard from him. I always remember him on Father's Day and his birthday by sending him a card and I hope that he is getting them but hard to say. Sometimes I am reluctant to send one because I never hear anything back and maybe he just doesn't care to thank me or acknowledge my cards but all in all he is still my Dad and I love him dearly!

Here is the card that will go out in the mail tomorrow with a personal note inside.

World's Greatest Dad Card:

Stamps: Guy Greetings
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Delightful Dijon, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Urban District Specialty DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Silver Brads & Paper Clip, Black Taffeta Ribbon, Black Baker's Twine, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

No matter what....I still want to wish him a nice day because he deserves that.
It breaks my heart that I do not see or hear from him and I hope he knows how much he's thought about every single day!

Love & miss you, Dad!!!

You're My Anchor

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Last evening I went downstairs to stamp since it was storming here.
I pulled out my pack of 2016-2018 In Color DSP Stack and of course I went right for the Dapper Denim! Just love that color of blue! I decided to make a masculine card with the Guy Greetings stamp set.

Isn't the Dapper Denim color pretty? I have taken to all the new In Colors this year and that's probably a first since the year we had Coastal Cabana & Strawberry Slush!

You're My Anchor Card:

Stamps: Guy Greetings
Ink: Dapper Denim
Cardstock: Dapper Denim, Whisper White, 2016-2018 In Color DSP Stack
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Circle Nestibilities, Dappy Denim Ruched Ribbon, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

My thought for the day....

That is all for today!
