Happy Belated Birthday

 Happy Tuesday, Friends!

It's another day of soaring temps & high humidity here in PA and most of the east coast for that matter! Last evening we went out for a walk right before the sun went down which wasn't too bad. Today I have a belated birthday card to show you. I already have several belated birthday cards on my card rack so this one will go into the bin. I used the Floral Wishes DSP which I absolutely love!

Card Details:

Stamps: Something Fancy (retired)
Ink: Old Olive
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Basic White, Old Olive, Floral Wishes DSP
Accessories: Something Fancy Dies (retired), Distressed Tiles 3D EF, Low Profile Gold Dots, Daffodil Delight Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Again, I just used a bunch of scraps from the pack of Floral Wishes DSP and made it work!
I just love this pack of DSP! It's so pretty!

Seasonal Sprays Sympathy

Good Morning & Happy Monday, Friends!

Hope you all had a great weekend!
Yesterday turned out to be rainy & dreary out so I spent most of the day at my stamp table playing with some Christmas cards! Yep, I know, way to early to be thinking of Christmas but I went to my stamp table thinking...what am I gonna make today?! I seen a Christmas card that inspired me so that was the route I took! LOL

So, I'm not sharing a Christmas card today but I am sharing a Sympathy card that I was inspired by from a very old (2000-2001) Stampin Up Annual Catalog. I pulled out the lovely (retired) Seasonal Sprays wood mounted stamp set and got busy!

Card Details:

Stamps: Seasonal Sprays (retired), Teeny Tiny Wishes (retired), Weathered Background Stamp (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy, Bordering Blue (retired)
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Bordering Blue (retired), Basic White, Gold Foil Paper
Accessories: Countryside Corners Dies (retired), Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Something Fancy Dies (retired), Gold Trim, Pressed Flowers Gold Dots, Glue Dots, Stampin Seal Adhesive

I love casing a card and changing things up to make it my own. I get so easily inspired by the catalog samples so always make sure to use your catalogs as a source of inspiration! I was also thrilled that I still have a good bit of Bordering Blue cardstock left & a very inky ink pad! It was a great day of stamping!

This card has been added to my bin of cards that I am working on. It's not often I have time for card making for myself but when I do I try to get cards made that I know are good sellers. I also like to take a variety of different cards and place them in a cello bag with envelopes and gift them to people. Audrey loves when I do that for her as a little Thank You.

Anyways, I am back to my stamp table today for some inky fun!
I really need to get working on July 4th cards since that will be here before we know it!

Grassy Grove Birthday

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today I wanted to share with you a card we made at my last Stamp Day w/ Friends get together. I know it's been awhile but I finally got pictures taken and loaded onto my computer.
The girls came over on a Thursday morning and we had the best time making cards. I am hoping to have them over in a few weeks to do it again! Anyways, they love their masculine cards so this one we used the Grassy Grove Dies.

Card Details:

Stamps: Something Fancy
Ink: Pecan Pie, Pool Party, Garden Green
Cardstock: Pecan Pie, Garden Green, Basic White
Accessories: Grassy Grove Dies, Timber 3D EF, Something Fancy Dies, Linen Thread, Blending Brushes, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I had everything diecut ahead of time for them so all we had to do was stamp and put the card together. I really like the deer diecuts!

Beautifully Happy Belated Birthday

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Another snow day is on tap here in the Northeast. I'm over the very cold temps & snow this season and anxiously awaiting spring's arrival in a few weeks!
Today I have a pretty springy card to share that I made with a retired SaleABRation set from 2023. This set has never seen ink. I was looking thru some old sets the other day and came across it so I decided to lay it on my table to use. This is for a Belated Birthday...

Card Details:

Stamps: Beautifully Happy (retired-SAB 23), Something Fancy
Ink: Memento Black, Bermuda Bay (retired), Granny Apple Green
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay (retired), Pool Party, Basic White, Dandy Designs DSP (retired SAB 23)
Accessories: Dashing Designs 3D EF, Countryside Corners Dies, Something Fancy Dies, Pool Party Ribbon (retired), Pool Party Shimmer Gems (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My pieces of DSP were just scraps that were left from another projects that I trimmed the rough edges off and placed on my Basic White embossed panel to give the card some interest. I love the finished project and have added this to my card rack For Sale.

Zinnia Birthday Cards

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I am sharing a set of cards that I made for Audrey.
She said she needed 18 birthday cards for April and this pack is was included.
I pulled out the ever so lovely Flowering Zinnia DSP and got to work!

Card Details:

Stamps: Something Fancy
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Cardstock: Thick Basic White, Flowering Zinnia DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Something Fancy Dies, Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon, Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It doesn't get any easier than this!
That beautiful paper does all the work and Audrey loved the bright colors.
We got her card delivered to her last evening and she sure was chatty!
And I got to see pictures of her great granddaughters!
They are just the most precious little ones ever!

Well, today I am putting my St Patrick's Day decorations away and digging out a few Easter/Spring things to decorate with. It surely does not feel like spring outside though!
Last Friday we hit 76 degrees and yesterday we had a high of 44. Crazy!

With Sympathy

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope that you all had a nice weekend!

We got out Saturday evening to see Kelsey's friend play in his band. I felt pretty good after my injection Friday so we bought our tickets and went. The band we saw is the Collinsville Discount Band which is local and they have a huge following. The place was packed and Shawn & I both said the music was so much better than we expected. It was a nice evening out and we enjoyed hanging out with Kelsey & her friends!

So, today I am sharing a set of Sympathy cards that I made using some of the Online Exclusives Meandering Meadow DSP. This paper did not immediately grab my attention as sometimes the realistic scenes throw me off. After seeing so many beautiful cards made with it I took the plunge and bought a pack. I used a piece last month on Audrey's card bag and she suggested using it for a set of Sympathy cards. These will go in her next order!

I used 2 different sheets of the printed paper for this set of 5 cards only because there is only 4 sheets of each print.

Card Details:

Stamps: Heartfelt Hexagons
Ink: Orchid Oasis
Cardstock: Orchid Oasis, Basic White, Meandering Meadows DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Something Fancy Dies, Orchid Oasis Metallic Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

With Sympathy

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

We've had so much rain in the last week that our sump pumps kicked on which I guess is a good thing. We have 3 of them in our basement and one is located right under our bedroom so when they go off we hear it. Last night is rained buckets again and Tuesday we are in for another weather event whether it be rain or snow, time will tell.

All went well at the dermatologist yesterday!
I really like my doctor. I've been having a bit of an issue with my rosacea and breakouts on my nose, cheeks & forehead. So, he said let's change up your medication! I haven't picked up my meds from CVS yet but I will start it after that. Not sure what to expect as he said this medication can cause redness & irritation to start and i'm only to use it every other night for a week to start. I will go back to see him in May for a recheck. We got home from my appointment before the rain started so that was a plus!

Today I have a set of cards to share that was part of Audrey's card order this week.
She was in need of a pack of Sympathy so this is what I made for her. SaleABRation lasts until the end of February and this pack of paper is one of the offerings. With any order over $50 you can pick from several things and this Flight & Airy DSP is one of the offerings.
I love the colors and prints in it and thought this would work well for her Sympathy cards...

Card Details:

Stamps: Something Fancy
Ink: Boho Blue
Cardstock: Boho Blue, Basic White, Flight & Airy DSP (SAB 24)
Accessories: Deckled Circles Dies, Distressed Tiles 3D EF, Something Fancy Dies, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Lots of crankin thru the Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine but pleased with how these turned out and I love the texture from the embossing folder!

Congratulations

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday we had some wild weather and I mean wild!
It poured pretty much all day and then add in 50 mph winds! Every window in my house was soaked on the outside! Miss Bailee wasn't too sure what to make of it.

I got Audrey's card order all ready for delivery so I called her to see when would be a good time to get them to her. Her week was pretty much booked up so, of course, we went in the rain last evening. We hit 2 road closures due to wires being down but got there safely. She was so pleased and thanked me several times that we braved the weather to get them to her. The card I am sharing today is one of the cards that was included in her order. She asked for something with a cross on for one of the priests at her church that was celebrating 20 years. This is what I made for her...

Card Details:

Stamps: Something Fancy
Ink: Lost Lagoon
Cardstock: Lost Lagoon, Pool Party, Basic White, Inked Botanicals DSP
Accessories: Crosses of Hope Framelits (retired), Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Something Fancy Dies, Opaque Faceted Gems (SaleABRation 2024), Mini Dimensionals, Adhesive Sheets, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was so pleased with how this one turned out and I never get tired of using that cross die, it's beautiful! The colors are so pretty together, too!

Not much happening on my agenda today and let's hope the weather is a bit calmer.
I may hit the stamp table to try a new technique called Twisted Ribbon. I saw it last year and never got around to trying it. If I get a card made with it I will share it here tomorrow!

Fragrant Trees Birthday

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I am sharing a card made with a big background stamp that was in the Holiday Mini but has carried over. It is called Fragrant Trees Background. I only recently had a chance to ink it up and this is what I made with it...

Card Details:

Stamps: Fragrant Trees, Throughout the Year
Ink: Garden Green
Cardstock: Garden Green, Basic White
Accessories: Something Fancy Dies, Ribbon from my stash, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This was literally a 10 minute card from start to finish and one that will mail flat!

Yesterday we got all the ceramic trees in the family room packed up for another year. Kelsey & Shady came over for supper then once I had the dishes washed I went back downstairs and cleaned up and put the normal stuff back out. Today I am going to strip beds and get sheets & quilts washed. Shawn is still doing his exercises and will go back tomorrow for his next PT session. Still haven't gotten a call to set up his epidural injection yet. Hope that happens sometime this week.

Throughout the Year

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Another dreary day is on tap here in PA.
Yesterday the fog was so dense you could hardly see across the street.
Today it's to be a rainy day and what better to do on a rainy day than stamp!

I have a quick birthday card to share today that was part of Audrey's last order.
She requested a card for a man turning 75 years old and gave me no other idea's as to hobbies so I kept this one plain & simple.

She was perfectly fine with it!

Card Details:

Stamps: Throughout the Year
Ink: Pebbled Path
Cardstock: Pebbled Path, Basic White, Tartan Foil DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Something Fancy Dies, Alphabet A LA Mode Dies, Pebbled Path Ribbon, Pebbled Path Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Yesterday was Shawn's visit at the pain doctor to go over his MRI results.
He definitely has some issues going on with his back that is causing the problem with his knee. He will start physical therapy this Saturday and will undergo epidural injections to help relieve the pain. Hopefully in a few weeks things will feel a bit better for him!
