Retiring Stamp Day #4

 Hello & Happy Thursday, Friends!

Our snow event yesterday turned out to be a flop which is fine by me.
We were able to take the dogs out for their walk in the bright sunshine although it was still a bit cool. Today.....70 degrees?! Also calling for a slight risk to severe thunderstorms.
I guess that goes hand in hand with spring weather.

Today I have card #4 to share using another stamp set that Stampin Up! is retiring.
This stamp set came out in the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog and then carried over into the current catalog. The Sweet Ice Cream stamp set & Ice Cream Builder Punch is a nice bundle and one that I have used frequently. It is on page 32 of the current catalog.

When i've made cards with this bundle in the past I always made them with the Ice Cream cone. This time I used a piece of the retired Ice Cream Corner DSP that uses popsicle's then stamped a popsicle and fussy cut it out and adhered it to the inside. The Ice Cream Builder Punch is only for the ice cream cone not a popsicle.

Card Details:

Stamps: Sweet Ice Cream
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Basic White, Ice Cream Corner DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Bermuda Bay Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Waves Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This set can make any birthday so fun with adding a few dollars or a gift card for a tasty treat! Ice cream is always a favorite for me!

Retiring Stamp Day #3

 Hello & Happy Wednesday, Everyone!

A snowy morning is on tap here but it won't be anything big and it won't last long.
Tomorrow they are saying 70 degrees with a chance of thunderstorms?!
Yep, another crazy PA weather week!

Today I have another card to share that I made using another Stampin Up! bundle that is retiring. This bundle comes from the current catalog on page 30. It is the In Bloom stamp set with Pierced Blooms Dies. I will say that I was shocked by this being retired because it's a wonderful bundle! Again, it will live on in my stamp room!

Card Details:

Stamps: In Bloom (retiring), Sunny Sentiments (inside-retiring page 38)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Seaside Spray (retired), Basic White, Vellum, Paper Blooms DSP (SAB 21)
Accessories: Pierced Blooms Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Hippo & Friends Dies (retiring), Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon (retired), Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The front of my cardbase is torn down the edge where the card opens. I wanted to add a bit of texture to it by doing this. I couldn't get a good picture of it with the card closed.

Retiring Stamp Day #2

 Hello & Happy Tuesday, Friends!

It is day #2 of sharing another card made using a retiring Stampin Up! bundle.
I am using the Welcoming Window stamp set and coordinating Window Flower Box Dies.
It's one of those beautiful stamp sets that came out last year in the 2021 January - June Mini Catalog and I only just recently purchased it. This bundle is on page 15 of the current Stampin Up! catalog. This is my first card made using it.

Card Details:

Stamps: Welcoming Window
Ink: Bumble Bee, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade
Cardstock: Bumble Bee, Just Jade, Basic White, Bumble Bee, Cinnamon Cider & Just Jade DSP
Accessories: Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon, Bumble Bee, Cinnamon Cider & Just Jade In Color Enamel Dots, Dimensionals. Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The 2020-2022 In Colors will be leaving us the beginning of May.
These were some very pretty colors and I can honestly say that I have enjoyed them & will miss them! Also in that mix are the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and the Tasteful Textile 3D EF! That EF is one of my absolute favorites! *sigh*

I hope you will stop back tomorrow for another card!

Let's Create With Retiring Products

Hello & Happy Monday, Everyone!

I sure hope you all had a wonderful restful weekend!
It got pretty cold & very windy here and we are back to wearing winter coats again.
The last several weeks it's been pretty mild so we were just wearing sweatshirts.
I'm hoping this cold weather will be short lived and spring will return.

Today I am starting something new!
Since Stampin Up! revealed the retired list last week I've decided to take all my retired sets and create cards with them as well as use dies & embellishments too that are leaving us.
I am starting at the beginning of the current catalog.
My 1st card uses A Wish For Everything stamps & dies from page 14 and Timeless Tulips stamps & punch from page 38. I will share pictures of the stamp set with each card. You will notice a red check on the spine of my stamp cases...that means they are retired.

Card Details:

Stamps: Timeless Tulips
Ink: Real Red, Garden Green
Cardstock: Real Red, Pool Party, Garden Green, Vellum, Flowering Fields DSP
Accessories: Word Wishes Dies, Tulips Builder Punch, Hippo & Friends Dies, Waves Rhinestones, Mini Dimensionals, Vellum Tape, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm so sad that these sets & dies are retiring but you know they will live on in my stamp room! I hope you'll come back tomorrow to see another card made using more retired items!

Lemon Bundt Cakes

 Hello & Happy Sunday, Friends!

Burrr, there is a chill in the air today!
Winter made it's return yesterday just as we were headed out to walk the dogs!
We had graupel!! Yea, I know.....what's that, right??
It is like a mix of hail & snow. Google it....it's definitely a thing!
It was so werid and came down very heavy and lasted about 30 minutes.
In all my 50some years....never seen anything like it!

So, today I am sharing a sweet treat that I made a few weeks ago after watching a Facebook Live. Marisa from over at Kitchen Table Stamper did a video on how to create them.
And it just so happened that I had a box of Hostess Lemon Baby Bundt Cakes in the food closet!

I changed up my box with different colors and papers to coordinate with my Lemon Bundt Cakes. I made 2 of these and gave one to Kelsey. She loves Lemon!

Project Details:

Stamps: What's Cookin', Lemon Zest (retired)
Ink: Lemon Lime Twist (retired), Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Lemon Lime Twist (retired), Basic White, Tutti Frutti DSP (retired)
Accessories: Heart Pack Punch, Cookin' Dies, Hippo & Friends Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Doilies (retired), Corner Rounder Punch (retired), White Crinkle Ribbon, Rhinestones, Velcro Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Kelsey loved it!
She even shared the other cake with her co-worker!
Each box holds 2 Bundt Cakes.

Coffee & A Mystery Card Challenge

 Hello & Happy Saturday, Friends!

Hope your weekend is off to a great start!
I have a few errands to run this morning then i'm planning on doing so stamping this afternoon. We are in for a chilly/cold weekend here in PA with the chance of some wet snow flurries. That doesn't sound very springy does it? I am going to take advantage of it and do some creating.

Yesterday I watched another Facebook Live with Marisa from Kitchen Table Stamper and played along with the Coffee & A Mystery Card Challenge. It was to create a Gift Card Holder.
Here are the things we needed to make the challenge...

Here is my Gift Card Holder...

A friend of mine is having a birthday in April and I thought the Pansy Patch bundle was perfect for creating a springy birthday card! I will add a Panera Gift Card once it gets closer to her special day!

Card Details:

Stamps: Pansy Patch
Ink: Bumble Bee, Fresh Freesia
Cardstock: Fresh Freesia, Basic White, Pansy Petals DSP
Accessories: Pansy Dies, Tailor Made Tags Dies, White Glittered Ribbon, Iridescent Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm not crazy on Pansies but I really love this suite of products!
It makes the prettiest cards! I am thrilled that this bundle has carried over into the NEW Stampin Up! catalog that will be coming in May but sadly the DSP won't carry with it. I made sure to order myself another pack as the one I have now is almost gone.

I'm not sure why when Stampin Up! brings out a new suite of products that have Designer Series Papers to coordinate with it and it ends up carrying over into a new catalog that the DSP doesn't carry over with it? I wish they would start to reconsider this option in the future.

Pierced Blooms Card Set

 Hello & Happy Friday, Friends!

I hope your all doing well.
I took some time off from stamping & blogging and gave my hands a rest.
I sat down yesterday to finish up a set of cards that I started 2 weeks ago.
I wanted to get them wrapped up and off my table.
I used some pretty Friendly Hello DSP and paired it with the Pierced Blooms Dies.

Card Details:

Stamps: Shaded Summer
Ink: Pale Papaya
Cardstock: Pale Papaya, Basic White, Soft Seafoam, Friendly Hello DSP (SAB 22)
Accessories: Pierced Blooms Dies, In Color Jewels, White Glittered Ribbon, Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

After I finished these up I seen that Stampin Up! posted the retiring list.
I was sad to learn that these Pierced Blooms Dies and it's coordinating In Bloom stamp set were on the retired list. Such a lovely set of stamps & dies but you all know it will not be leaving my stamp room and it will continue to be used.
My sentiment comes from the Shaded Summer stamp set that will be carrying over into the new catalog which starts May 3, 2022.
I have seen the new catalog and it's pretty amazing!

Sorry for the late update today!
I spent most of the day out on the back porch with the dogs enjoying the warmth & lovely sunshine!
Here is Bailee keeping watch over her yard!

I have a pretty cool card to share made using a new bundle that came out last month. It took awhile for it to grow on me and in all honesty, I probably would not have ordered it but Shawn liked it. He likes anything with the beach so I knew it was right up his alley!
This new suite of products is called Waves of Inspiration. I think I loved the rhinestones in it most! LOL They are all the colors of blue!
Here is the card I made over the weekend. First one, hot off the stamp table!

Card Details:

Stamps: Waves of Inspiration
Ink: Memento Black, Coastal Cabana, Soft Suede, Versamark, Stampin Blends- Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Basic White, Coastal Cabana, Waves of the Ocean DSP, Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper
Accessories: Waves Dies, Snowflake Splendor Ribbon (retired), Rhinestones Waves Jewels, White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Glue Dots, Adhesive Sheets, Tombow Multipurpose
