Color Challenge 463

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today is Color Challenge day over at SCS and I wanted to play along to get my card rack built back up.

Here we go....

Tangerine Tango, So Saffron & Coastal Cabana

My friend, Deb has this set and left me borrow it last summer so I stamped a bunch of images from it. It has been so cold here so my mind went with something flowery for the colors today. I pulled out this image from the Apothecary Art set and colored my flowers in Coastal Cabana, So Saffron & Pear Pizzazz. My DSP came from the Summer Smooches DSP pack. I colored my image with blender pens & ink pads. I'm very pleased with my card!

Color Challenge 463 Card:

Stamps: Apothecary Art
Ink: Memento Black, Coastal Cabana, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz

Trying to stay warm with temperatures in the single digits today with very gusty winds. Even the poor dogs hate going out to potty! LOL
Headed off to get my supper started and make a batch of chocolate chip cookies that I whipped up on Sunday and never baked. That will help to keep the house nice & toasty!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Valentines Day Treats

Hello & Happy Friday!

Today I promised to share what i've been working on for Valentines Day.
So wait no longer.....here we go!

I seen over the holidays that Becky Roberts from over at Inking Idaho was making these for Christmas. They were so adorable and normally I would have bitten on them but since my Christmas craft show was cancelled I just passed on the idea of purchasing the cups and decorating them to sell. Then my friend Vicki talked me into ordering some. I'm so glad I did! They are a bit tricky when getting the paper wrapped around them but oh SO fun to decorate! These could easily be made up for any occasion or holiday!

Becky also has the directions on her blog for making the cup carrier which is very easy! Her blog is listed on my sidebar if anyone is interested.

I filled my cups with some Hershey Hugs & Reese's Peanut Butter Hearts.
I used a different variety of papers & stamps on these.
I love them and will be making the rest up for Christmas this year!

Valentine Cups:

Stamps: Variety of SU Stamps
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Regal Rose, Primrose Petals, Bravo Burgundy, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party
Cardstock: Variety of SU & misc DSP
Accessories: Variety of SU Punches, Ribbons, Twines, Buttons, Dies, Framelits, Glues

Cups & Lids can be purchased here:
 Cups - 4oz. Paper Hot Cup 50/ $2.89 order number is 9994W
Lids - 4oz. Hot Paper Cup Travel Lid White/100 $4.39 order number is 999L4W

Well, that is all I have for today!
I'm off to shower and get my order ready for tonight. One of my stamp girls is having a SU party this evening! WooHoo! I'm looking forward to it!! :)

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #86

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today is going to be a down day for Kelsey & I. She has the day off from work so we decided to do a marathon of Ravenswood on tv this afternoon. Does anyone out there in TVland watch Ravenswood on the ABC Family Channel??
First I had to run downstairs and whip up a card for today's Dynamic Duo's Challenge before it ended this afternoon. So here we go....

As much as I love these 2 colors, they are hard to photograph!
I really had to do some work in Picasa to lighten it up!

As you can see i'm still working on Valentine's Day cards for family & friends. This one will go to Kelsey since it reminds me of a hip teenager card with the arrow clip. I know she will like it especially if I add a few bucks in it!

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #86 Card:

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Neenah White, Pool Party, Pink Pirouette, Pink Pirouette DSP

Color Challenge 462

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday was Color Challenge day over at SCS. I normally play along with it each week but yesterday I found the snow to be quite the distraction! I sat and watched it fall most of the day. It's always so pretty on the trees and such. So today I made my way down to play along.

Here are this week's colors & my card....

Wild Wasabi, Blushing Bride & Primrose Petals

Dessert option was to use pearls, brads or baubles.

I felt the need to pull out an old Stampin Up set called Blossoms Abound. These colors reminded me of pink lilacs. Mmmm Lilacs smell so good! I planted a lilac bush in my yard 2 years ago and I just hope this year we get some blooms!

Loved this week's colors....so springy!

Color Challenge 462 Card:

Stamps: Blossoms Abound, Curly Cute
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Blushing Bride, Primrose Petals, Memento Black
Cardstock: Neenah White, Wild Wasabi

Merry Monday Challenge Week #92

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.
They always seem to fly by so quickly for me!

Today it's time for another challenge from over at Merry Mondays! We had some awesome snowman cards last week and it seems now since we have our own blog that the challenge is really picking up in entries! Thank you to all who play along each week. The reward will come at the end of the year and your not stressing over making Christmas cards! I love the stash I have so far! :)

Anyways, here we go with this week's challenge!!!

I kept my card very CAS style this week for easier mailing. I also love these colors for Christmas, not sure why but I do! In my stash I have found the ornament already stamped and cut out. I added a red rhinestone to the center of it to make it sparkle. I cut a piece of burlap ribbon and adhered it to my Very Vanilla cardstock. I then attached my ornament with a dimensional on top of my burlap. Stamped my sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink and added some scraps of Real Red Grosgrain that were in my stash. Then I adhered everything to my Chocolate Chip card base and finished the inside with my saying. Very easy peasy!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #92 Card:

Stamps: Ornament Bundle, More Merry Messages
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Real Red
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Burlap Ribbon, Red Rhinestone, Real Red Grosgrain, Stamp A Ma Jig, Dimensional, Tombow Liquid Multi Mono

Also some awesome news from over at Merry Mondays.....we took on a few more Merry Makers this week! Please stop by the blog to check it out and welcome our newbies! I also hope you can play along with us this week!

Well, that is all for me!
Housework awaits me today! Blah! Someone's gotta do it though!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Another Snowman Card

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today I went down to my stamp table and I noticed this snowman image laying in my Christmas basket so I thought to use him on another quick card for this week's Merry Monday Challenge.

I am trying hard to use up all my papers. Goodness, I have SO much of it. I could probably wallpaper the whole inside of my house with it and maybe another! This paper is from a huge 12 X 12 tablet of My Mind's Eye DSP. I love the colors in it and that little bit a sparkle!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #91 Card:

Stamps: Snowman from Hero Arts
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Neenah White, My Mind's Eye DSP
Accessories: Circle Nestibilities, MS Doilies, Bashful Blue Grosgrain, 2 Sided Tape

Sketch Challenge 471

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

It's hump day and that means it's time for another sketch from over at Splitcoaststampers!

Here we go...

Still working on my Valentines stash today!
I pulled out my Expressions Thinlits Dies that the "love" diecut came from. I just love these words and how easy they are to cut out! This is the first I used them.
I used some patterned paper from the Love Impressions DSP and my Heart Circle Diecut is from Spellbinder's. I think this is the first I ever used these as well! LOL
I pulled out a box and put all my Valentines Day stamps, papers, dies, stamped off images & embellishments in there to make it easier to remember what all I have.

Sketch Challenge 471 Card:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette, Love Impressions DSP, Red Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Expressions Thinlit Dies, Spellbinder's Heart Circles, Heart Punch, Sm. Heart Punch, Hexagon Punch (for my banner), White Pearls, Liquid Mono Multi Glue

Color Challenge 461

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

It's Color Challenge day over at Splitcoaststampers so here is the colors and my card....

Tempting Turquoise, Coastal Cabana & Crisp Cantaloupe

When I first seen these colors they made me think of something beachy but instead I wanted to work on building up my Valentine's Day stash so that's the road I went down.

I pulled out this Valentine's pennant that i've had in my stash since 2011. It is from a hostess set in the Holiday Mini from 2011-2012 called Warmest of Wishes. This sweet little pennant has never seen ink until today! I know, it's a shame but it also gave me a chance to use my Petite Pennants Builder Punch too!
My sentiment came from a retired set called All Holidays from a few years back. I thought it fit the bill on this. I know the colors aren't exactly ment for Valentine's Day but i'm still happy with it!

Color Challenge #461 Card:

Stamps: Warmest of Wishes, All Holidays
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Tempt. Turquoise, Crisp Cantaloupe, Memento Black
Cardstock: Neenh White, Whisper White, Tempt. Turquoise, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe
Accessories: White Baker's Twine, Petite Pennants Builder Punch, Rhinestones, Stamp A Ma Jig, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #91

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
I did but feel that they just fly by so quickly!

Since today is Monday that means it's time for another terrific challenge from Merry Monday
So here we go....

I used a digi image from Heather Ellis who is the creator of the Pure Innocence Girls line. She has this line of snowman that are just so adorable.

I colored my image with Copic Markers and cut it out with the Deco Framelits. My patterned paper is My Mind's Eye and the pink twill is from my stash. At the bottom of my card I added 2 pink rhinestones on both sides just for interest. I feel like I always need some sort of bling on my card!

Merry Monday Week #91 Card:

Stamp: Snowman Digi from Heather Ellis
Ink: Copic Markers
Cardstock: Neenah White, Pink Pirouette, My Mind's Eye DSP
Accessories: Deco Framelits, Pink Twill, Pink Rhinestones, 2 Sided Tape

That's all I have for today!
Hope you can stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other Merry Makers have created this week and play along with us! You'll be so glad to have your cards done way ahead of time!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Color Challenge 460

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I'm trying to get back into the swing of things with getting some stamp time in and playing along with some of my favorite challenges. Yesterday & today my hubby has been home from work with a cold. Sure hope I don't pick it up!
Anyways, with being in sub zero temperatures since yesterday afternoon, I decided I was having another PJ day and got inky!

Here are today's colors from the SCS Color Challenge 460 and my card....

Today's dessert option was to make a splatter on your card so obviously I passed on that!
A clean & simple card done with the Festive Flurry stamp set & matching framelits. I love this set but then I have always loved all of Stampin Up's snowflake sets! :)

Color Challenge 460 Card:

Stamps: Festive Flurry, Sentiment from Many Merry Messages
Ink: Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Whisper White
Accessories: Festive Flurry Framelits, Snow Burst EF, Rich Razzleberry Stitched Grosgrain, Rhinestone, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Never hurts to work on Christmas cards way ahead of time!

Well, that's all for now!
My dryer is beeping so it's time to go fold another load of laundry!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
Stay warm where ever you are!
