Whipper Snapper Christmas Cards

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!! 🎉

Today I have a set of cards to share that I whipped up in the spare of the moment. I went downstairs yesterday to do some organizing and found this cool snowflake paper and my old Whipper Snapper stamp in a box together. I felt like it was time to get something made with it and got right to work on them! Do you remember Whipper Snapper stamps? I'm not sure if they are even still in business but I do have quite a few of their stamps.

This adorable polar bear is named Mike and that has always stuck with me. I used this stamp millions of times in years past. So fun to color and on this one I added Diamond Dust that I have had for umpteen years. It's so old it came from AC Moore!

Card Details:

Stamps: Mike by Whipper Snapper, Sentiment from Elzybells
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends, Misty Moonlight
Cardstock: Basic White, Patterned Paper from Hobby Lobby (The Paper Studio)
Accessories: Countryside Corners Dies, Glue Pen, Diamond Dust, Snowflake Trinket, Dimensionals, Stampin Seal Adhesive

I'm hoping to get back to my table soon to play more with my retired stash!

5th Card for Bella

Hello & Happy Thursday!

It's trash day here and with all the heavy rain and crazy winds I had to run out and fetch my cans!
Yep, we are having another gloom & doom day!

I have the last card to share today that I made for my card lady.
She requested a variety pack of cards for a little girl named Bella.
For this card I pulled out a Whipper Snapper doggie stamp.

I colored my dog with Stampin Blends then took my Color Lifter over it so soften it a bit.
The doily border that is under the dog panel is from Stampin Up from a few years ago.
I'm not even sure the name of it but it has an adhesive on the backside which stuck very well.
I'm sure I must have grabbed it off the Clearance Rack sometime.

Card Details:

Stamps: Whipper Snapper
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Basic Grey- Sugared
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Doily Border (retired), Old Olive Ribbon (retired), Blackberry Bliss Faceted Dots (retired), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It's always fun to pull out the old stash and use it up!
I loved Basic Grey papers back in the day!
Is Basic Grey still around?

My thoughts today...

That is the most perfect picture for today!
A blustery, heavy rain and it's the last day of April.
I hope May brings us more sunshine and warmer temps!

That's all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Whipper Snapper Dog

Hello & Happy Friday!

It was another rainy, dreary day here in south central Pennsylvania.
I'm so tired of the doom & gloom of these rainy days.
I need lots of sunshine in my life to keep me stepping!

My post is late today as I thought I had already had this post ready to go live this morning.
I took it easy today after a week of not feeling well.
I slept in this morning and just tinkered around the rest of the day.
Sometimes ya just need to take it easy.
I had a long talk on the phone this afternoon with my dear friend Deb which was the highlight of my day! I threw some chicken pies in the oven for supper and finally jumped in the shower only to put pj's right back on! Yes, it's that kind of day!

I worked this week on a card order and one of the requests was a couple cards made for a child with no sentiments on. I'm fine with making cards for kids but without sentiments just throws me off.
This is one I created...

This card uses a Whipper Snapper stamp that I have had in my collection for many years.
The paper is Basic Grey Max & Whiskers.

Card Details:

Stamps: Whipper Snapper
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Basic Grey Max & Whiskers
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie Enamel Dots, Bermuda Bay 1/4 Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope this works for my card lady.
I always struggle with a card with no saying on it.
I need to get 4 more made for her before I deliver these.
Ughh, the struggle is real!

I hope that made you laugh!

Year In Review 2017

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Can't believe it is the last day of 2017!
How are you spending your last day of the year?
We are hanging out at home and will have a special meal as we usually do for New Year's Eve but we never stay up late anymore to watch the ball drop. We are lucky to stay awake until 10 pm most nights! LOL

So as I usually do for New Year's Eve....I do a "Year in Review" of some special cards or projects that I made this past year. Some months you will see more than one card! I had alot of favorites!

January 2017:

It was a rough month with Shawn being in the hospital most of the month.
My favorite card for this month was made for him.

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Sorry for being missing in action the last few days.
Been busy with things around the house.

Yesterday I did make my way to my stamp table to make a card for one of my favorite challenges, Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Here is the sketch and my card...

Happy Birthday To You Card:

Stamps: Koala Bear-Whipper Snapper, Sunburst Sayings
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Pink Passion, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Doodlebug DSP
Accessories: Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangles, Circle Punches, Daffodil Delight Stitched Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I loved this sketch because I have a thing for a funky or tilted panel!

A quick birthday card created for a little girl using a Whipper Snapper stamp that I have had in my collection for a long time. I don't have many stamps for little ones so I always seem to gravitate towards using this cutie.

I've had it for years and love the prints!

Stamps: Koala Bear- Whipper Snapper, Sentiment- Designer Tee (SAB 17)
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Neenah Solar White, Paper Salon- Pristine DSP

My thoughts today...

My back is doing better but now I have picked up my dear hubby's head cold.
I was so hoping I would get thru this season without a one! Go figure!

That's all from me today!
