Patriotic Kite Delight

 Good Morning & Happy Saturday!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start!
Shawn is off helping a good friend shingle a roof this morning and I am washing bedsheets and hanging out on the line to dry since we are having some beautiful weather! And who doesn't love the smell of fresh air dried bedsheets?! We got groceries already this week and a quick trip to Sam's Club last evening so I hope that this evening to try and do a bike ride!

Today I am sharing another card made using the super cute Kite Delight stamp set!
I had Memorial Day/July 4th of my mind when making this and I think it turned out adorable except after I was done my hands had ink everywhere! The life of a crafter, right?!

It took precise placement of the stamp on the Real Red & Night of Navy ink pads to get the ink where I wanted it. Sometimes the ink bled into the other part on the stamp. The very bottom kite I ended up inking 2 whole kites one in red and the other in blue and cutting them in half to get the 2 toned kites. What a fiasco that turned out to be! LOL
In the end I did manage to get the look I wanted so I won't complain too much.
This is such a fun stamp set! I know I said that yesterday but it really is!
If you have a chance to grab it before it retires you really should!
It is just delightful!

Card Details:

Stamps: Kite Delight
Ink: Real Red, Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic White
Accessories: Real Red Stitched Ribbon (retired), Red Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Patriotic Card Set

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

My Tuesday is off to a slow start!
I slept in this morning and slowly getting my day started!

I have a set of cards to share that I made last week for a card order.
They asked for something Patriotic and no saying and you all know how I struggle with no saying cards.

I looked all over for some inspiration but everything had a saying on so I looked thru tons of paper and found this perfect piece from American Crafts.
The polka dot paper is the backside of the stars & stripes.
I pulled out the God Bless America stamp that Stampin Up! brought out in 2001 and used my Real Red & Night of Navy Stampin Write Markers to color my flag. I left the saying off that is on the stamp.
I added a small rhinestone to the center of the heart on the flag for a bit of sparkle and called this pack done.

Card Details:

Stamps: God Bless America (retired)
Ink: Real Red & Night of Navy Stampin Write Markers
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Real Red, Basic White, American Crafts Paper
Accessories: Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My card lady loved them!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #509

Hello & Happy Friday!

Glad the weekend is here!
It's been really hot, hazy & humid here in PA the last few days.
My air conditioning is working overtime thru this kind of humidity.
I've been hibernating downstairs working on some challenges and staying cool.
I'm on a roll with making July 4th cards and I used this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches for my cards today!

Here is the sketch and my samples...

This stamp is my most loved stamp to use for the July 4th holiday!
It was designed in 2001 for 911 as a way to raise funds for the incidents that happened that day.
I use this stamp every chance I get because it's a day we will never forget!
It was perfect for this week's sketch, don't you think?

Card Details:

Stamps: God Bless America (retired-911 Stamp)
Ink: Blueberry Bushel & Real Red Stampin Write Markers
Cardstock: Real Red, Blueberry Bushel, Whisper White
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Darice Stars EF, Red Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

If you get a chance check out their blog, Tuesday Morning Sketches and play along!
They always have awesome sketches!

Congrats Card

Hello & Happy Friday!

Yippppeee we made it to the weekend!

As I said in posts earlier this week, I had a card order to work on. Today's card was included in the order. My customer will be traveling to see her grandson graduate. I'm not sure which branch of the military. She may have told me but I did not retain it. This card was made for him.

Having these diecuts surely makes a card go together much faster!
My customer was really happy about this card!
Of all the cards I made this was the one that stole the show for her!

Congrats Card:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Lucky Stars EF, Star Framelits, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Rhinestone, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I wish all cards could go together as quickly as this one did!

That is all for me today!
Thanks so much for stopping by & have yourself an amazing weekend!

God Bless You Card Set

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your all enjoying the weekend!
Yesterday was beautiful and we spent the day in Lancaster County with some friends.
While my intent was to do some supply shopping at L&L Stamps in Ephrata, PA.,I found out quickly she was closed once we got there. Then we headed off for some lunch at a cafe at Shady Maple which was pretty darn good! Plus we ate with friends which made it all the more special!
After lunch we headed to the Flower & Craft Warehouse and to my surprise I found some amazing things in the Scrapbooking area! Since I was bummed that L&L was closed, the Flower & Craft Warehouse made up for my sadness! Needless to say my friend, Mary Anne & I had a wonderful time shopping & chatting and ended our day with a hug before we both headed home with full bellies and a bag of fun stamping goodies! This hobby has brought so many wonderful stamping friends into my life over the years and it's always fun to meet up with them!

So today I have a set of cards made for my really great customer who ordered cards for her grandson. She writes to him on a regular basis while he is stationed in Georgia and requested a pack of cards with the American flag on it and God Bless You. I always try my best to fulfill her requests.

This set was a bit of a toughie and I hope she will like these as it's a bit different than what she asked for. She wanted a certain paper which I am out of and she wanted me to use the God Bless America stamp that Stampin Up brought out in 2001 when the Trade Towers in New York City came down. I instead used a different American flag stamp from the Star Spangled Banner (retired) set. There are words on this particular stamp so I just used my Stampin Write Markers to ink up what I wanted, stamped it and cut just the flag out. My sentiment panel is stamped with God Bless You which comes from the Crosses of Hope (retired) set and then it was cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. My piece of patterned paper is from Pebbles and is diecut with the Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle Dies. Lastly I attached my flag with Mini Dimensionals and attached the star with a glue dot. I hope she will like these. I love the patterned paper and the Red, White & Blue!

God Bless You Card Set:

Stamps: Star Spangled Banner (retired), Crosses of Hope (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy, Real Red & Night of Navy Stampin Write Markers
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Peebles DSP, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle Dies, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Small Star Punch, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
