Season of Thanks

 Hello & Happy Monday!

Can't believe the weekend is over!
They go by so fast, don't they?

Today I have a quick project to show you that I made from directions from over at Song of my Heart Stampers Blog. She made Chapstick boxes and since I had a couple Pumpkin Pie Chapsticks on hand....I wanted to put them in a pretty box!

I used the retired Gather Together set and coordinating Gathered Leaves Dies. So sad this bundle retired....I used it bunches over the last few years and it will stay in my collection as long as I can still stamp!

Project Details:

Stamps: Gather Together (retired)
Ink: Cinnamon Cider, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Cinnamon Cider, Pumpkin Pie, Basic White, Just Jade DSP (retired)
Accessories: Gathered Leaves Dies (retired), Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Cinnamon Cider Ribbon (retired), Gold Metallic Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Super cute and what a fun little gift for Thanksgiving!

Season of Thanks

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

It's hump day already!
Sorry for a late update today, I had a busy morning.
The last home improvement project is happening today!

Today I have a cute card to share using the SaleABration stamp set, Textures & Frames. I ordered this set on a whim, not sure what I would do with it.
I looked on Pinterest and found a few cards that inspired me to use it.
I made a card the other day using this set and on that one I used the splatter stamp.
This one uses the circle.
I used Fall colors to create a Thanksgiving card.

I paired up the SaleABration set with a retired set, Gather Together.
This stamp set is one of my favorites for Thanksgiving and will live on in my stamp room!

Card Details:

Stamps: Gather Together (retired), Textures & Frames SAB 21
Ink: Terracotta Tile (retired), Bumble Bee, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Terracotta Tile, Pumpkin Pie, Bumble Bee, Basic White
Accessories: Gathered Leaves Dies (retired), Stitched Nested Dies (retired), Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Circle Layering Framelits, Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon, Champagne Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Isn't it colorful?
It's always fun to create your own background paper, too!

Thanksgiving Pillow Boxes

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

Quite the cold morning here in south central PA!
Burrrr!
Thankfully the temps are headed up into the 40's today!
Yesterday it was around freezing most of the day.
I didn't mind it too much as I ran my oven most of the day baking my neck pumpkins.
The pumpkin is now sitting in the strainer draining the water off.
I will measure it out and put into the freezer later to make pies & pumpkin rolls!

Miss Gigi continues to do superb!
Took her last pain pill and anti inflammatory meds yesterday.
Eating and running around like a crazy girl!
I'm thankful that everything went well with her procedure.

Today I am sharing a Thanksgiving treat that I whipped up one rainy day!
I have several packs of Stampin Up Pillow Boxes.
They are white polka dots on Kraft cardstock.
I changed the color of them using Terracotta Tile inkpad and a sponge brayer.
I left them dry about an hour then decorated them!
While they were drying I did my stamping & diecutting...

My sentiment was stamped in Cajun Craze and diecut with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits.
The piece of woodgrain paper is from the Come to Gather DSP and I diecut that with the Stitched Nested Dies. My beautiful leaves are from the Gather Together set and diecut with the coordinating Gathered Leaves Dies. I had in my stash some Copper Cord from years ago so I tied a bow and added it to my sentiment panel.

Project Details:

Stamps: A Wish for Everything, Gather Together
Ink: Cajun Craze, Terracotta Tile
Cardstock: Whisper White, Cajun Craze, Terracotta Tile, Copper Foil Paper, Come to Gather DSP
Accessories: Pillow Boxes, Sponge Brayer, Gather Leaves Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Stitched Nested Dies, Terracotta Tile Scalloped Linen Ribbon, Copper Cord (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Alot of work went into these but I was so thrilled with them once they were finished!
I filled these with the bite sized Twix, 3 Muskateer, Milky Way & a Snickers candy bars.
The Pillow Boxes are an awesome way to to fancy up and give a treat or even cash or a gift card inside!
I made 6 of these and hopefully I priced them to sell!

Gather Together

Good Morning & Happy Saturday!

Yesterday was a long day waiting on Gigi updates.
At 4:30 last evening we got our first update which was kinda hard to hear.
The procedure took longer than anticipated as they removed 21 of her teeth.
Now I know your thinking...does she have any left?
Dogs have 42 teeth so she still has 21 left that are so pretty & white.
She has a few stitches which will dissolve in a few days.
I hate seeing her go through this but now I am pretty sure she will be more happy once she heals.
She came home with a pain med, an anti inflammatory and an antibiotic which she will be on for 5-7 days. She is doing pretty good....better than I expected!
She's eating, taking her meds, going out to potty and giving kisses!
Seeing her jump around and her tail wagging this morning just made me smile!
She will return to see the Vet in one week just to make sure her extraction sights are healing.
Miss Bailee isn't sure what to make of her sister being so sleepy but she is keeping her eye on her and sniffing her out.

So i'm a bit late updating this morning but I do have a pretty card to share that my girls made last weekend. We used the Gather Together set for this one.

Everything is pretty self explanatory.

Card Details:

Stamps: Gather Together
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Gray Granite
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Pretty Peacock, Come to Gather DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Pretty Peacock Faceted Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

At first I wasn't sure about the Pretty Peacock color for Thanksgiving/Fall but it has grown on me!
Love that Pretty Peacock gingham and that white pumpkin print!

Fall Happy Birthday

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
They seem to go by so quickly don't they?

This afternoon I have a return appointment to see the Dermatologist for my Psoriasis.
I am doing pretty decent with it but now with cooler weather I am having some trouble around my hairline, ears & scalp. I know the doctor will tell me that those places are the hardest to treat.
I got my humidifer running and keeping my skin moisturized is one of the best ways to keep psoriasis at bay! I don't expect any changes in medications unless he has something good for my scalp!

So today I have a really pretty birthday card to share.
I used the Come to Gather bundle.

Now this card was not my own creation.
I asked permission to case my dear friend, Vicki Burdick, on a card she made recently.
She watercolored her leaves and I sponged mine since I can't watercolor to save my soul!

Card Details:

Stamps: Gather Together, Perennial Birthday
Ink: Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Terracotta Tile, Versamark
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Gold Foil Paper, Come To Gather DSP
Accessories: Gathered Leaves Dies, White Embossing Powder, Gold Metallic Enamel Dots, Braided Trim Ribbon, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Thanks Vicki for your inspiration and for allowing me to case your pretty card!
This card is for my sister in law who's birthday is at the end of the month.

Birthday Wishes

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday had to be one of the most dreariest, rainy days ever!
My back was hurting from over doing it on Monday and I did not sleep good the night before....
I just wanted to get comfy and sleep the day away!
Instead I made myself get ready for the day and went down to my stamp room.
I worked on some Thanksgiving cards for my card lady and called it a day.
My Sciatica is killing me and my only relief is sitting in my recliner...

Today I am sharing another birthday card that I worked on last week.
Terracotta Tile has become my favorite In Color!

I love this color because it's much softer than Cajun Craze!
The stamp set is A Wish For Everything from the Annual Catalog.
I loveeee the font in this set!
My leaves are from the Gather Together stamp set & Gathered Leaves Dies.
Beautiful bundle and one that I have loved using!

Card Details:

Stamps: A Wish For Everything, Gather Together
Ink: Terracotta Tile
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Terracotta Tile, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Terracotta Tile DSP
Accessories: Gathered Leaves Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Terracotta Tile Scalloped Linen Ribbon, Terracotta Tile Faceted Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Glad i'm getting these cards made up ahead of time!

Seasonal Happy Birthday

Hello & Happy Monday!

What a weekend!
Yesterday was just a yukky rainy day!
Did not get much relaxing done as Kelsey came over for the day.

Today I have a really pretty Fall birthday card to show.
I said last week that I have a bunch of birthday's coming up in the next few weeks that I wanted to get made and out of the way before the craziness of the holidays come.
This is another one I made...

To start off, I was inspired by a card my friend, Vicki Burdick, made.
She embossed her leaves with Winter White Embossing Powder then watercolored her leaves.
I am not much of a watercolor girl so I took a piece of Whisper White and used Sponge Daubers to put down Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Terracotta Tile inks to get a colorful panel. Then I embossed my leaves with Winter White Embossing Powder and die cut my leaves out. I got 3 leaves from a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock.
I used some Terracotta Tile DSP and a piece of the matching ribbon.
I also used some Braided Trim to tie a bow. I took the bone folder over the tails of my bow and they curled! I loved the look!

Card Details:

Stamps: Perennial Birthday, Gather Together
Ink: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Terracotta Tile, Versamark
Cardstock: Terracotta Tile, Whisper White, Terracotta Tile DSP
Accessories: Gathered Leaves Dies, Stitched Nested Dies, Winter White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Sponges, Terracotta Tile Scalloped Linen Ribbon, Braided Trim, White Pearls, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I also added some White Pearls on 2 of the corners for interest.
I always reach for the rhinestones and forget I have pearls.
Honestly, the pearls look more elegant on this than rhinestones and i'm happy with it!

Happy Thanksgiving Card

Good Morning & Happy Saturday!

Today is going to be a fun day!
We are headed out to a couple antique stores this morning.
We haven't done much antiquing the last few weeks so today is very much needed!
Not sure if we will find any treasures but it's always fun looking!

I got a really pretty card to show you today!

This is another one of Angie Juda's fun fold cards but this time I put the card on it's side.
I used some new Come To Gather DSP which is from the SU Holiday Mini Catalog.
The sentiments inside & out are from A Wish For Everything which is from the Annual Catalog.
The leaf on the inside is from the Gather Together set.
It's got wonderful sentiments and some cute pumpkin images in it!
I couldn't stop playing with the set the last 2 days!!

Card Details:

Stamps: Gather Together, A Wish For Everything
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Whisper White, Early Espresso, Come to Gather DSP
Accessories: Gathered Leaves Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Pretty Peacock Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love, love, love this suite of products!
You will be seeing more of it soon!
