Candy Purses of 2014

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Today is game day between the Browns & the Ravens! We will be watching and rooting for our Ravens in hopes they make the playoffs!

Before we head off to get ready for football day, I wanted to share a few of my Candy Purses I made this year. I don't have pictures of half of them I made for some reason. I could have sworen I took pictures but cannot find them. Here we go!

The candy purses are from Becky Roberts a few years back. They have become a popular item with my customers so I have been making these for many different holidays!

I used the Top Note Die from Stampin Up!. I scored it at 1 1/2 and then cut my DSP to fit the Top Note at 1 1/2. Wrapped my nuggets in matching DSP and placed in a small Cello Bag. Attached them to the inside of the Top Note with double sided tape. Then added a strip of ribbon about 10" long. I attached that with 2 sided tape and then decorate. These are so adorable!

Candy Purses:

Stamps: Very Merry Tags, Best of Snow
Ink: Early Espresso, Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: Old Olive, Garden Green, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Trim the Tree DSP, Winter Frost DSP, Season of Styles DSP
Accessories: Top Note Die, Circle & Scallop Punches, Bracket Label Punch, Rhinestones, Early Espresso & Bermuda Bay 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Liquid Multi Mono Adhesive

Well, that is all for me today!
Have a great Sunday & thanks for stopping by!

My Candy Purse of 2013

Hello & Happy Friday!

We're getting down to the wire on Christmas. Only a week & a half to go and it's soon going to get busy around the Aungst Pad since we are hosting Christmas Day this year. I have so many idea's of things i'd like to do to make for a great day but somehow I don't think it's going to happen. I have shopping to get done and my Christmas menu to plan and then send out the invites, shop for the food and then clean up the house! I'm tired thinking about it but i'm up for the challenge as long as my back stays in tact and my family helps me out some! That there might be asking too much! HAHA!

Last evening we meet Kirsten at a local place for our weekly "Wing Night". She returned all my baskets and a big envelope filled with money from all the goodies she sold from my Christmas goodies. WOW, i'm was so floored at her determination on selling everything and she said she rather enjoyed being my little elf! Hehe! 10 years ago she was a very rebellious teenager that ran my family & myself into very troubled waters and to look at her now! I'm not going to jinx myself but i'll just say WOW at the turn around that has happened over the last few years! Anyways, she informed me last night that she turned a few people down on taking orders for me on anything because she is studying hard for a job promotion and needs to pay close attention to all the new things that she will be learning. Hey, i'm so fine with that and wish her all the best in going after what she went to school for!

So, I wanted to share another Christmas goodie today! I made these for the craft show that was cancelled because these too are a good seller. Kirsten sold every single one and usually I make more but this year I did not when I found out the show was cancelled.
So here are my Candy Purses for 2013.

I used papers from last year and a retired stamp set for these.
Hope you like!

Candy Purses 2013:

Stamps: Snow Much Fun
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Be of Good Cheer DSP

Well, that's all I have to share today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
Happy Holidays!

Oppsie! I forgot my Thanksgiving Thursday

Hello & Happy Sunday!

As I sat here this afternoon watching the Ravens football game they announced a game suspension due to bad weather in the midwest. It looks pretty scary from what I see. Tornado's in Illinois and in Chicago where the Ravens are playing the Bears, the skies turned very black and the heavens opened up! They made people get out of the stands to take cover then went off the air. So as I sit here patiently waiting for it to come back on...I realized I forgot to post my Thanksgiving Thursday post this past week! Yikes! I know things have been busy so I guess that's why it slipped my mind!

So, better late than never...here is this past week's Thanksgiving Thursday!

I made some Thanksgiving Candy Purses to put out on the table at everyone's place settings for Thanksgiving dinner.

My cardbase is Tangerine Tango with a piece of Sweater Weather DSP. I added my sentiment from Tags 4 You that I punched out with the Label Bracket Punch. I popped the sentiment up, added a bow of Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon and 2 rhinestones. The strap is a piece of Chocolate Chip 1/4 Grosgrain Ribbon. The nuggets are wrapped with Whisper White cardstock that were stamped with It's A Wrap- Holidays stamp set from last year. I know it's not a card but this week I am going to try to fit in 2 Thanksgiving cards! I made these and was so excited to share them....then I forgot!

Thanksgiving Candy Purses:

Stamps: Tags 4 You, It's A Wrap Holidays
Ink: Soft Sky, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Sweater Weather DSP
Accessories: Top Note Die, Chocolate Chip & Crushed Curry Ribbons, Rhinestones, Label Bracket Punch, Dimensionals, Liquid Mono, Hot Glue

Well, the game has been delayed another hour due to the weather in Chicago so I guess i'll go see what I can get into for a bit.
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

St Patrick's Day Candy Purses

Hello & Happy Friday!

So happy the weekend is upon us but for the 4th Friday in a row they are calling for some wintery weather here in PA. I think it's to be a little icy here tonight then rain for tomorrow. I'm gonna try to do some work in my stamp room while the weather outside is going to be yukky! I want to do some rearranging of all my million and one stamps and need to pick up some magnetic sheets to redo my Nestibilities and Framelits.

Anyways, I have Dominic for a short time this afternoon but before I go get my day started I wanted to share with you these St Patrick's Day Candy Purses I made. I love making these now that I have done so for Christmas & Valentine's Day. I will probably do some for Easter too!

I stamped my wrapper image on Whisper White cardstock and cut each wrapper out. They are 1'X 3" and I placed a piece of Scotch Double Sided Tape on the one end and wrapped around the Hershey Nugget.

St. Patrick's Day Candy Purses:

Stamps: Lucky Shamrock (retired), It's a Wrap Holidays (retired)
Ink: Garden Green
Cardstock: Garden Green, SU Whisper White, The Paper Studio DSP
Accessories: SU Top Note Die, Circle Punches, Ribbon from my stash, Green Rhinestone, White Stitched Grosgrain from SU, Small Cell Bag (retired), Scotch Double Sided Tape, Liquid Multi Mono, Dimensionals

I love these! I'm still in the process of making a few more things for St. Patrick's Day so stay tuned.

Last week I was playing around with a jigsaw puzzle and thought i'd share it with you!
I love putting these together as a stress reliever and for something different to do. This one came from a huge box with 10 different sized puzzles in from Thomas Kincade. I have 2 more finished that I will share once I get them photographed.

Well folks, that's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Valentine's Day Candy Purses

Hello again!

As you know Sunday I spent the day in my stamp room. I made several different treats for Valentine's Day which by the way will soon be upon us! I'm ready for it now with the exception I still need a few cards for the kids & hubby! Back at Christmastime I made some Candy Purses that the famous Becky Roberts made. I had a few Hershey's Nuggets left so I thought i'd try my hand at making some for Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day Candy Purses:

Stamps: Well Scripted
Ink: Basic Gray
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Basic Gray, Love Impressions DSP
Accessories: SU Top Note Die, Scallop Heart Embosslit, Lg Heart Punch, Blushing Bride & Whisper White Ribbon, Heart Rhinestones from Amuse, Sm Cello Bags (retired), Hot Glue, Liquid Multi Mono, Dimensionals, Scotch Double Sided Tape

I think they are adorable! I might just have to go out tomorrow and get another bag of nuggets so I can make more! LOL We'll see!

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving such nice comments! They are much appreciated!

It's Time.....

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Yes, it's time that I start sharing all the Christmas goodies that I have been working on the last few months. I love Christmas and work on it all year long behind the scenes. Even though I try to work on it all year long it always seems every year I am fiercely working on more right up to Christmas Day! Truthfully, I can see that happening again this year too!

My first project is one I seen from the famous Becky Roberts last year. I love making these!

These are made with the SU Top Note Die and scored at 1 1/2 in. Added my choice of DSP, ribbon for my strap and a cute little sentiment! Inside is a small cello bag which unfortunately Stampin Up does not carry anymore. I added 4 Hershey's Nuggets with a 1 X 3 pc of DSP wrapped around the nugget. Added a cute sentiment to the front with circle & scallop punches and attached with 2 Stampin Dimensionals. I embellished them with a cute little bow and either a rhinestone or a pearl. I attached my cello bag with some double sided Scotch tape. SO fun to make and love them as a cute little gift!

Candy Purses:

Stamps: Hero Arts & SU Sentiments
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Glorious Green, Neenah White, Holly Berry Bouquet DSP, Red Holly from Hot Off The Press DSP
Accessories: SU Top Note Die, Circle & Scallop Punches, White & Real Red Grosgrain Ribbons, Rhinestones & Pearls, Scotch Double Sided Tape, Mono Adhesive

Well, that is all for today, friends!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
