Heartfelt Sympathy

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

I've been working on a card order the last few days!
It's the first one of the new year.
It's not a big one but i'm completely ok with that so I don't do more harm than good on my hands.
This first set is a sympathy card that I had tucked away, all prepared for a Stamp Day get together that I decided to put together and use for this order instead.
Everything was already cut and embossed....all I had to do was stamp and adhere together.

I love pulling out a mix of stamp sets and using them to create cards!
It doesn't matter whether they are brand new or retired, they all work beautifully!
My tree image comes from a retired set called Thoughts & Prayers.
It's a great set for Sympathy and Get Well cards. This set is a wood mounted set from a few years ago with a nice array of sentiments for inside & outside of your card.
The sentiment I used here is from the current set called Inspired Thoughts.
Another great set full of sentiments.

Card Details:

Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers (retired), Inspired Thoughts
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Basic White, Dandy Garden DSP (retired)
Accessories: Painted Texture 3D EF, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Oval Layering Framelits, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I think these are just right for this time of year and the best part, they will not require extra postage to mail out.

My thoughts today...

Great advice and one I always say to Shawn.....Be in the Moment!
Now, if I could just find a Rae Dunn coffee cup with this on.....I would get it for him to remind him every day!

Thanks for stopping by & have an amazing day!

Thoughts & Prayers

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I am done painting!
I am beat but atleast it's done and it looks great!
I'd really like to do my whole house but not sure I have it in me.
Oh to be 20 again! I could run circles back then...painting, gardening, yard work, house work and taking care of kids.....NOT ANYMORE! I hurt from top to bottom!

Today as I try to take it easy I have a card to share that was made for a friend.
She's been having some medical issues and I wanted her to know she is in my thoughts & prayers.
So, I pulled out a stamp set called Thoughts & Prayers which sadly is another one of those fabulous sets that is retiring soon and created this for her.

Card Details:

Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers
Ink: Sweet Sugarplum
Cardstock: Sweet Sugarplum, Very Vanilla, Falling for You DSP
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, So Detailed Thinlits, Ityy Bitty Butterfly Punch, Very Vanilla 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I recently snagged this SO Detailed Die off the Clearance Rack and WOW I gotta say that this die is so nice and cuts like butter! It also adds so much to a card, too!

Thoughts & Prayers

Hello & Happy Thursday!

The week is flying by!

Today we have some brilliant sunshine and our temps are to start going up!
Yippee Skippee because this cold, windy & snowy weather is starting to be a bit much.
I am hearing 50's by the weekend and I am SO happy about that!

I have a card to share today that was made for my last customer order.
It is for a young, married woman who was burned back before Thanksgiving. She bent over to blow out a candle and her long hair caught fire and she has suffered major burns on her face, neck & chest. She is still hospitalized and going thru some very painful treatments and depression is setting in. My heart hurts for her....

Card Supplies:

Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers
Ink: Flirty Flamingo
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White
Accessories: Bloomin Heart Framelits, Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon, Clear Wink of Stella, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope this card will let her know that people are praying for her and also for the courage & strength to get thru what lies ahead.

Get Well Card

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

It's really nice to see the sun shining brightly this morning after a day of rain.
I woke this morning to news of a woman that passed away that I knew. I'm not sure how I knew her but none the less I am very sad about her passing. She had been fighting cancer for quite a few years and had just one heck of a time. I'm sad but I know her pain & suffering is no longer. Sending my thoughts & prayers to her family today....

Anyways, today I have a super quick & easy card to share. It's the last card that we made at our stamp get together last Saturday for World Card Making Day!

These get together's with the ladies has been really nice! It gives us a chance to talk and it also has been nice to be able to use up retired stash! Win win!

Get Well Card:

Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers
Ink: Sweet Sugarplum
Cardstock: Sweet Sugar Plum, Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Succulent Garden DSP
Accessories: Triple Banner Punch, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This card was super easy and no embellishments or popping things up!
I wanted to let the paper do all the work!

That is all for now!

With Sympathy

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Woke up to dark skies this morning and then the rain came. We needed it but now the sun is out shining brightly! Last evening we had a chance to get the bikes loaded up and went to the Rail Trail to ride. Surprisingly, there were not many people out walking or riding. We biked a little over 8 miles in less than an hour and I was completely zonked by the time we loaded the bikes back up and headed home. Shawn got a new bike for Father's Day and said how much more comfortable the new one is! Both of our bikes are Huffy Cruisers.

Anyways, today I have a Sympathy card to share. This was done for a card order a few weeks ago.

I kept this card as flat as possible so no extra postage needed. I used the Pretty Petals Paper Pad and Very Vanilla 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon which both are retired. I have SO much in retired papers & ribbons that I must get used up! I am really starting to like this Mint Macaron color. Reminds me of Sage Shadow from years ago!

Sympathy Card:

Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers, Rose Wonder Bundle
Ink: Mint Macaron
Cardstock: Mint Macaron, Very Vanilla, Pretty Petals DSP
Accessories: Very Vanilla 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, 2 Sided Tape

Hard to believe that it's been 2 months today since Prince passed away.
Still so shocking and sad.
His music will definitely live on!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Sympathy Card Set

Hello & Happy Sunday!
A late post then heading off to bed!
It has been a great weekend around here!

Saturday was the Heirloom Stamp Show in York and all my stamp girls got together and went. We shopped then met up at Chili's for a nice relaxing lunch that gave us a chance to sit and talk about what we purchased at the stamp show, upcoming stamp parties and just life in general. I had a great day with my girls!!

So tonight I just wanted to share a pack of Sympathy cards that I made for an order last week. I wasn't quite sure what I was going to make but i'm quite pleased with the turn out!

I took inspiration from a retired pack of designer paper called Cottage Wall. I love the mix of flowers with the striped paper and I added a small Old Olive bow to finish my card. My sentiment comes from the retired Simply Sketched stamp set. My flowers are from the Thought & Prayers set. It's a beautiful set! The inside is blank, just the way my customer likes!

Sympathy Card Set:

Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers, sentiment from Simply Sketched
Ink: Old Olive & Rich Razzleberry SU Markers, Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Cottage Wall DSP
Accessories: Old Olive 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dot, Stamp A Ma Jig, 2 Sided Tape

That's all I have for tonight! I'm off to bed now!
Stay tuned for another challenge from over at Merry Monday tomorrow! It's a fun one!

Thanks for stopping by!
