Rainbow Bridge

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

It's the start of the long Memorial Day weekend!
No plans here but we are hoping to be able to get the bikes out before it gets too hot.
This morning it is cloudy, foggy and on the muggy side.
Rain & storms are expected today and some could be severe.

The card I am sharing today is one that pulled at my heart strings being that we recently had to put Miss Gigi to sleep. I thought about her the entire time I was making this card.
My card rack needs some dog sympathy cards so I sat and whipped up a couple and it was no easy feat. Losing a beloved pet has to be one of the hardest things we have to experience in life. It's been almost 2 months since we said goodbye to Miss Gigi and it's been 10 years since we said goodbye to Miss Fluffy. 2 dogs that looked so much alike but both had different personalities and both missed so VERY much.

I hope that this card will bring some comfort to the recipient.

Card Details:

Stamps: DRS Designs
Ink: Memento Back
Cardstock: Balmy Blue, Basic White, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green
Accessories: Tasteful Textile 3D EF (retired), Brilliant Rainbow Dies, Dog Builder Punch (retired), Cloud Punch, Tailor Made Tags Dies, White Glittered Ribbon, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Nuts About Squirrels

Good Morning & Happy Thursday, Everyone!

It's a gloomy start to the day here in south central Pennsylvania and it's been on the cool side which I guess is better than the hot, humid weather we had last weekend.
As we prepare to head into the Memorial Day weekend they say it's to get warm & muggy with chances of storms here & there. Next week though we could reach temps in the 90's again.

Today I have a sweet treat project to share that I whipped up yesterday using a tutorial that has been printed out and laying on my stamp table since before Christmas last year. It looked complicated so I kept putting it off. Yesterday was the day I finally tried it and to my surprise it was far from complicated! I will be making more of these, for sure!

This is a Diagonal Top Lid Box that I made and put a Little Debbie pack of Nutty Bars inside.
Shawn loves these and so I wanted to make it for him.

Here is the link if your interested in making one.

I have had the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set for awhile now but did not get the chance to ink it up until yesterday. It came out in the 2021 July - December Mini Catalog and had carried over. It is in the new Stampin Up! Annual Catalog which means it will be around for another year! YAY!

Card Details:

Stamps: Nuts About Squirrels
Ink: Soft Suede, Cinnamon Cider (retired)
Cardstock: Cinnamon Cider (retired), Basic White, Soft Suede, Cinnamon Cider DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Cinnamon Cider Ribbon (retired), Metallic Dots, 1/2 Circle Punch (for notched lid), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I have customers that love anything Little Debbie and I will be making more of these down the road as a little treat to say Thank You or even Merry Christmas!
And BTW, Shawn loved the box and was checking it out as to how it was made!
Very easy and quite simple! Give it a try!

Hope Your Day Is On Point

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I have a set of cards to share that I made up for myself using a a tutorial online to create a Stamp A Stack. I fell in love with this one particular design and that was all she wrote!
This set uses the Cactus Cuties stamp set from the 2022 January - June Mini Catalog and long retired Flowering Cactus DSP.

Card Details:

Stamps: Cactus Cuties
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Basic White, Mint Macaron, Flowering Cactus DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched With Whimsy Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Tasteful Textile 3D EF (retired), Cactus Builder Punch, Eden's Gems, Mint Macaron Ribbon (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My cactus and the flower pot were both fussy cut since the Cactus Builder Punch doesn't punch out these 2 things. That was quick & painless for me. My hands don't like fussy cutting, at all!

Bridal Shower & Wedding Cards

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a nice weekend!
It was very hot & humid here which was a bit too much, too soon!
My AC ran since Friday afternoon until this morning. We had thunderstorms off & on since Friday and last night it finally brought us a cold front.

Today I am sharing a few pictures of a bridal shower card & the wedding card that was requested from my card lady for a family relative that was getting married in April. The bridal shower was back in February.

Your going to notice a cheese grater in these shower pictures.
My card lady requested a tag that matched the shower card to attach to the cheese grater. It was a little joke that she shares with the soon to be bride.

A friend helped me out with the champagne glasses diecuts since I did not have anything like that.

Bridal Shower Card:

Stamps: Forever Fern, Art Gallery (sentiment)
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Basic White, Gold Foil Paper
Accessories: Double Oval Punch, Unknown Champagne Glasses Diecuts, Glue Dots, Gold Cord, Mossy Meadow Satin Ribbon (retired), Gold Rhinestones, Gold Eyelet, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Here is the wedding card...

Wedding Card Details:

Stamps: Forever Fern, Love & Happiness
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Basic White, Gold Foil Paper
Accessories: Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder, Gold Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My card lady was so happy with both of these cards because they matched the invitations!
I did not save that picture that was on my phone or I would have shared it with you.

Bottled Happiness Hello Card

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

The weekend is upon us again! Do you have any fun plans?
It's to be a hot & humid one here so I don't think we'll be out and about too much especially with almost $5 a gallon of gas! That's just as crazy as the weather! We've been staying put at home alot more lately!
Today my hubby is off and we are planning on power washing the porches and getting the porch furniture out but they are calling for thunderstorms all weekend so we may just have to work between the rain drops. I also hope to grab a few flowers to get planted now that we are hopefully past the threat of frost.

So, today I have a cute and very easy card to share that I whipped up one day this week.
I used some new In Colors, Starry Sky & Parakeet Party along with the new Bottled Happiness stamp set.

Card Details:

Stamps: Bottled Happiness, Pansy Patch (sentiment)
Ink: Starry Sky, Parakeet Party
Cardstock: Starry Sky, Parakeet, Basic White
Accessories: Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This stamp set comes with a coordinating Vintage Bottle Punch which I did not use on this card but I am planning on using it for another card soon!

Mish Mash Card Set

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

Woke up this morning to a few raindrops but the sun is to reappear and turn out to be a nice day! However, starting tomorrow the heat & humidity is on! Saturday, we could reach a high of 95 degrees! A bit too much especially since we have only had 1 day so far that temps hit 80. Crazy!

Today I have a set of cards to share that I whipped up for on my card rack.
This set uses some retired products. I have so much that I am slowly trying to use it up.

At some point I must have ordered maybe 3 packs of the retired Farm Stand DSP because there are several sheets of each print & pattern. I pulled out scraps of different ones to create these cards just to try and put a dent in it! LOL

Card Details:

Stamps: Paper Pumpkin Kit (retired)
Ink: Pear Pizzazz
Cardstock: Peekaboo Peach (retired), Pear Pizzazz, Basic White, Farm Stand DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Peekaboo Peach Enamel Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was very happy with the outcome of them when they were finished.
I love the colors.
I also kept these nice and flat for easy mailing!

Happiness Abounds

 Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

It was quite the stormy day yesterday but thankfully we did not get the severe storms they were calling for! It really cooled down and took the muggy away.
The last couple of days it got a bit muggy so yesterday I spent most of the day downstairs where it was much cooler. While down there I worked on some card kits for my next Stamp Day w/ Friends get together and played with the new Happiness Abounds stamp set. I made this for my card lady's next order...

A gorgeous suite of products and if your a flower kind of person....this one is for you!
This was not on my radar when it first came out. The DSP is what sold me on it.
Another fun feature is that the flowers can be diecut right from the paper!
My card lady loves anything with flowers so this stamp set will work great for her!

Card Details:

Stamps: Happiness Abounds
Ink: Pool Party, Gorgeous Grape
Cardstock: Pool Party, Gorgeous Grape, Hues of Happiness DSP
Accessories: Blossoming Happiness Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Glossy Dots Assortment, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Such pretty colors in this DSP! I can't wait to play more with it!

Sending Smiles

 Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY!

The weekend is here! Do you have any fun plans?
No plans here other than a quick trip out this evening to get a new pair of sneakers.
I know, real exciting! LOL
It's to be cloudy with off & on showers all weekend so maybe we will get the bikes out at some point. We've already rode bikes in the rain, just have to make sure we aren't getting any storms!

Today my card is a pretty one using a new stamp set from the new 2022-2023 Stampin Up! Annual Catalog. It also uses some new In Colors...

The colors are from the new 2022-2024 In Colors, Orchid Oasis and Parakeet Party.

Simple Birthday Cards

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

We've been having a lovely stretch of weather here in PA but today the clouds are to roll in with showers the next few days. They say it won't be a total washout like last weekend was so I am hopeful that we might be able to try another bike ride. Last evening we loaded the bikes up and went to the Rail Trail for a ride. The weather was a 10 plus! It was the first time we had the bikes out in almost a year and I hope that we can get back at it on a regular basis. I am hurting a little today but happy that we took that first step to getting back at it. I enjoy it and I wish I could share the sweet fragrance of the honeysuckle blooming alongside the trail. It was not overwhelming but such a sweet smell. I really love this time of year for many reasons!

Today I have a set of cards that my card lady requested for her June cards.
She loves hydrangea's and has some in her yard.
She wanted a simple pack of Happy Birthday cards using the Hydrangea Hill DSP.
This pack of paper is retired but that does not matter to her, she says to use what I have on hand and keep them simple.

Card Details:

Stamps: Pansy Patch
Ink: Gorgeous Grape
Cardstock: Gorgeous Grape, Basic White, Hydrangea Hill DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Brushed Brass Butterflies, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

When I deliver a card order to my card lady she always tells me how she loves the cards I made for her. She was pretty thrilled with this set because she loves the paper but also loved the cute butterfly embellishments! I love them, too!
They lay flat and do not bulk up your projects! The perfect little add on!
