Stamp Camp Projects

Hello fellow stampers & friends!

We're having a beautiful weekend here in MO! I woke up this morning and put Fluffy in the tub and gave her a good bath and got those ears of hers cleaned. Our neighbor here gave us the number of the groomer that she uses on her pooches but we can't get Fluff in till the 15th. Hopefully this bath will hold her till then.

So, yesterday I was invited to a stamp camp that my stampin friends here had. I met some new stampers and had a great time! Below is a picture of the projects we made....

The Post It Note holder was done differently than i've made mine before. This one was cool because you attach the pen to it! The other neat thing was the metal sheets we used on it! I've never worked with metal before let alone emboss it. It was awesome!! We also made a Thanksgiving card & a Christmas card from sets from the SU Holiday Mini. Very simple cards that packed a punch. Thanks for the invite, Lois!

Well, that's all I have to share today! Thank you for stopping by and have a safe & happy Halloween, ok?
I'll be back tomorrow! ~Wendy

Winter Wishes

Hello fellow stampers & friends!

Hope your all having a great Friday so far. We woke up this morning to a temp of 30 degrees! Burrrr! I don't know about you but i'm not ready for that kind of weather just yet! LOL

Today, hubby was off to go get a MO Driver's License & plates for Winky. While he was out & about I was still doing some tweeking in my stamp room and then he came home with a light for above my table & a nice heater to keep me warm. Yeah!!! Things are really looking up in there now! :)

My card i'm sharing today I made yesterday but I did not get a picture of it till today when I set up my light box. I found a small piece of designer paper in my box and just went in search of an image to go with it. I got this Greeting Farm stamp set last winter and never used this particular stamp til now.

Winter Wishes Card:

Stamps: The Greeting Farm, Sentiment from Unity
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers, Almost Amethyst & Basic Black SU Markers
Cardstock: Almost Amethyst, PTI Select White, DSP from Provo Craft, Paper Doily
Accessories: Rectangle & Rectangle Scallop and Oval & Oval ScallopNestibilities, Martha Stewart Snowflakes, White Organdy Ribbon, Rhinestones from Micheal's, Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 2 Sided Tape

I made a pan of homemade lasanga for supper tonight along with a garden salad. It's starting to smell really good so I better go get the table set now!
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your Friday evening!

All Settled in MO

Greeting from Missouri, fellow stampers & friends!!

We left PA back on Oct. 14th and arrived in Joplin, MO on October 15th. The ride here was fun but long! We stopped every so many hours to walk Fluffy and stretch our legs. We had great weather and seen some neat things on our trip here which I will share later. The first week here we roughed it. We slept on air mattresses & sat in camping chairs. Just this past Saturday the moving truck arrived with our furniture, food, clothes and all my precious stamp stuff! The movers had their truck unpacked by noon and then the fun began for us. Today, I finally got my stamp room finished. Now I have to remind you that we are renting a smaller house here in MO so I had to settle on putting my stamp room in the attached garage which isn't too bad. I got some carpet and put on the floor. Have to get a better light & a good heater for in there because today it was alittle chilly in there! I have pictures down below that I took today. All in all it's not too bad. Our move went pretty smooth and after a week & a half here I still get my moments where I miss HOME! Thank God for Facebook and the telephone is all I can say! :)

So, today I could not wait to go play in my new stamp room! I need a card for a friend for her birthday coming up so I used today's Sketch Challenge #304 from over at Splitcoaststampers. Below is the sketch layout and my card.

I got to use some new Marina Mist cardstock and that awesome Floral Fusion Die from Stampin Up! I know the lighting could be better. I haven't dug out my light box yet for pictures and today is a cloudy day here in Joplin. I really like this and hope you do too!

So below are the pictures of my stamp room. Ya just don't realize how much stuff you have untill you move half way across the country! LOL I'm happy my stuff is here and i'm happy to finally be able to create again! Yehawww!!

Sketch Challenge #304 Card:

Stamps: Sentiment from All Holidays
Ink: Marina Mist
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, PTI Select White, Pretty in Pink Prints DSP
Accessories: Oval & Oval Scallop Nestibillities, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Floral Fusion Die, Kaiser White Pearls, Pink 5/8 Grosgrain from AC Moore, SU Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Martha Stewart Fern Punch, Glue Dots, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for me now! Hubby will soon be home then we are heading out to do some shopping & dinner!
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow!

Christmas Cardinal

Hello fellow stampers & friends!
Yesterday we had so much fun at the York Stamp Show! I was thinking about going back in today but I really don't have the time too, unforunately. Hubby is home and we have so much to get done in a short amount of time. Tomorrow though for sure I need to make a run to L&L in Ephrata for some stamp supplies that i'm in need of!! :)
Anyways, today I have a card to share with you that is a total case of someone from SCS. Mine is a tad different but not by much. Darleenstamps made a few cards with the SU Bird Punch that just caught my eye and I had to make one of my own! :) I just LOVE the out come of it that i'm sure there will be MANY more made like this! :)
Take a look....

I showed this to Miss Emily last nite and she said this is probably her most favorite yet and I think I have to agree! Very simple & easy to make too!
Christmas Cardinal Card:
Stamps: Seasonal Sentiments (SU Holiday Mini)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Grey Wassail DSP
Accessories: Oval Nestibilities, SU Bird Punch, Martha Stewart Fern Punch, Gold Brads, Ribbon, Sponge, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for me for today! Hopefully I can squeeze a few more updates in before the moving begins this week. I will need my stamp therapy to keep me sane that's for sure! :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a super Sunday!

And on a totally different note...my hubby got home tonight!! All our neighbors and friends hung out in the driveway waiting on him to get home. I'm soooo happy he's home!!
So, now i'm off to spend some time with him and have pizza! :)
I'll be back again tomorrow with something to share! Till then...
