July 4th Candy Bars

Good Morning from a rainy PA!
Happy Thursday, Everyone!

We so desperately need the rain and yesterday it started around noontime and this morning it is still raining! YAY! The ground has got so dry that the dirt is cracking which is odd to see here. We've had a snowless winter (which I am not complaining) but snowfall is critical to the water levels. We are in a moderate drought and recently the county has asked people to start conserving water. This year I did not plant the amount of flowers I normally plant so I don't have as much to water. Because of the lack of heat & humidity so far this season my flowers are not looking all the greatest either. Hopefully the summer weather will soon kick in and perk my flowers up!

So today I have another sweet treat to share with you. The July 4th holiday is less that 2 weeks away and I do like to have some treats on hand. I know my elderly neighbors love treats! Recently I found the Hershey's Candy Bars at my local Giant grocery store and I purchased a pack. These are a white chocolate with sprinkles & pop rocks in them. Something different. I have not tried them so i'm not sure if they are good or not. I loved that the wrapper is was red, white & blue so I thought i'd give them a try!

For these I did not make my usual candy bar wrappers but just put a belly band around the middle of them. I wanted the decorated ends of the wrappers to be seen. I used a retired stamp set and a coordinating wheel that I unmounted from the wheel and added cushion to. It is now a very long stamp that I find I reach for more often and use. Do you remember the wheels? I use to have lots of ink cartridges for them but they have dried up over the years so unmounting the rubber was a good thing!

Project Details:

Stamps: Happy Fourth (retired)
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic White, Pacific Point (retired), Silver Foil Paper
Accessories: Stitched Stars Dies (retired), Tailor Made Tags Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Stars & Stripes Wheel (retired), Silver Metallic Stars (retired), Real Red Sheer Ribbon (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I don't make much in candy treats anymore but I do still enjoy making a few things here & there. I have one more July 4th treat to share with you tomorrow so I hope you will stop back!

My thoughts today...

On rainy days I like to craft or sit out on the porch and watch it rain.
It kinda just depends on how warm it is or how crazy the rain is! LOL
Today I will most likely continue my binge watching of Chesapeake Shores. I am getting ready to start Season 4. The last episode in Season 3 made me cry. *sigh*
Let me know your answer in the comments!

Thanks for stopping by & enjoy the rain!

Trick or Treat, Your SO Sweet

 Good Morning & Happy Monday!

I hope you had a fabulous weekend!
We had some lovely Fall weather here and Saturday I had my Stamp Day w/ Friends!
It's been a long 2 months since I last seen them so it was nice to catch up!
I will share our projects as soon as I get pictures of them.

Today I wanted to share with you the Hershey Bar Wrappers I made for Halloween.
I haven't made them for Halloween in awhile and I felt the Scary Cute Bundle was perfect for the design. I made 6 and sold 5 so I am happy about that!

I stamped my little Trick or Treaters on Parakeet Party cardstock using Basic Black Archival ink that Stampin Up! had out a few years ago. This ink is much deeper and stamps better than the Memento Black. Although the Basic Black Archival ink is retired I find myself using it every year for Halloween cards for the deeper and more black images. I used my Stamparatus for this to make sure I got the perfect images. Worked like a charm!

I have been making this Hershey Bar Wrappers for many years.
I got the directions off Splitcoaststampers back in the early 2000's when I first got into stamping and have always made them for the Christmas Craft Shows.
They sold like hot cakes!

Project Details:

Stamps: Scary Cute
Ink: Basic Black Archival, Gorgeous Grape
Cardstock: Parakeet Party, Basic Black, Basic White, Black & White Designs DSP
Accessories: Scary Silhouettes Dies, 1 1/2 in Circle Punch (notch on the top of wrapper-retired), White Glittered Ribbon, Paper Crimper (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

If your interested in making your own Candy Bar Wrappers, below are the directions.
I found the Halloween Hershey Bars at my local grocery store (Giant) back at the end of August so I'm not sure if they are still available but you can always use just the regular Hershey Bars as well.

Directions for the Candy Bar Wrappers:

Cut cardstock at 6 3/4 X 6.
With the 6" side facing you on the paper cutter you want to score at 2 3/4 and again at 5 1/2.
Take your bone folder and give the scores a nice crease. Glue the bottom & side with a heavy duty adhesive. Take a paper crimper and crimp the bottom that you glued. That also helps to keep it glued together. The top of the candy bar wrapper you want to use a 1 1/2" Circle Punch. Punch only a half moon circle which is half way down, do not punch the whole circle, just half. Then decorate and have fun!
These make a cute little gift at anytime of the year!

They are so much fun and who doesn't love a Hershey's Chocolate Bar!

My thoughts today...

That is scary! I thought this morning that my Keurig broke because it wasn't brewing my coffee. Here I must have been still sleeping when I hit the button and it just sat there. I never closed the lid on the K-Cup! LOL
I am off to get my day started and to start picking at a puzzle!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful start to your week!

Penguin Place Candy Bars

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I am going to give my hands a rest and do some baking for Thanksgiving.
A Pumpkin Roll and a Pumpkin Pie are on the agenda.
I've been up since about 2:30 am due to my hands aching/hurting and already had 2 cups of coffee to get myself moving.
The shower is calling but first I have to wait on the towels in the dryer.
Then afterwards I will start baking and most likely I will need a nap before noon! LOL

I wanted to share a sweet treat that I made for Christmas. If you have followed me for a few years you know I always love making my Candy Bar Wrappers. This is the first I made them for a couple years though. I paired it up with my Penguin Place bundle and the SaleABration paper, Penguin Playmates DSP.

Project Details:

Stamps: Penguin Place
Ink: Basic Black Archival (retired), Misty Moonlight, Pumpkin Pie, Fresh Freesia, Just Jade
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Fresh Freesia, Basic White, Penguin Playmates DSP (SAB 21)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Penguin Builder Punch, Banner Punch (retired), Paper Crimper, 1 3/8 Circle Punch (retired), Fresh Freesia Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Lots of fussy cutting on these (just the packages) and thankfully I only made 6!
These will make a wonderful gift to a neighbor or mail person.
Also a great stocking stuffer, too!

I love the penguins this year!

I'm happy to say that all my Christmas candy treats are finished!

Snowman Hershey Bar

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your all having a nice weekend!
Yesterday I broke down and went to Urgent Care!
I have been dealing with a UTI since Thursday and I had some antibiotics here that I took which was not doing anything for me. I needed something stronger and my doctor is not open on Saturdays.
I hated to go but I could not stand that feeling of having to pee every 5 minutes!
Glad I went and got the medicine I needed! In & out in 20 mins.
Hopefully I will start feeling better!

Today I have a yummy sweet treat to share....
These are my all time favorites to make!

Project Details:

Stamps: Snow Place (retired), Itty Bitty Christmas

Best Bunny Treats

Good Morning & Happy Friday!

Happy Good Friday to you as well!

Yesterday I realized I had some Easter Kit Kat bars (the full size ones) that I needed to do something with for my gang for Easter.
Earlier this year I decided to get away from making & selling treats because my hands ache pretty much 24-7. I enjoy making them so I decided to whip up something quick & easy for my gang.

This is the outcome....

Stampin Up was very generous with giving us many sheets of the same prints and colors in the Gingham Gala DSP.
I took a sheet and cut it at 3 5/8 X 6 and wrapped it around my candy bars.
Slide my ribbon under it then tied a pretty bow.
I used the Best Bunny stamp set & matching Bunny Builder Punch to create the bunny.
Once he was stamped, punch, colored and put together I added dimensionals and place him on my Gingham Gala DSP.
I added the retired sentiment and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch and place 2 mini dimensionals on each end of it that way it was attached overtop of the bunny.
Lastly, I added an enamel dot to each in a matching color.
I will slide a few bucks inside of them and call them done!

Project Details:

Stamps: Best Bunny, Teeny Tiny Wishes (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Whisper White, Gingham Gala DSP
Accessories: Bunny Builder Punch, Classic Label Punch, Organdy Ribbon (retired SAB 19), Variety of Enamel Dots, Dimensionals & Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This was a quick & easy way to create a sweet treat!
The building of the bunny was what was a bit time consuming but so adorable once it was done!
Sadly, this Best Bunny stamp set & matching punch has been sold out for weeks and will retire soon.
Glad I was able to get it and use it for Easter!

Santa's Workshop Candy Bar Wrappers

Good Morning & Happy Friday!

We made it to the weekend!
I have been SO busy this week with stamping and getting orders completed.
Another day or 2 and hopefully it will all be done!
My hands are saying....enough already!

Today I am sharing a few more Candy Bar Wrappers.
Love making these!
I used Santa's Workshop DSP for these.

Have you seen the flocking that is in this pack of DSP?
It's so cool how they do that!
I also used some Black Glittered Ribbon that was with the Halloween stuff in the Mini Catalog!
It can be used for Christmas too since it has some pretty glitter on it.
My little elf and signpost were diecut from the Santa's Workshop DSP.
These are going to be great for stocking stuffers!

Project Details:

Stamps: Signs of Santa
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Basic Black, White Velvet Paper, Santa's Workshop DSP
Accessories: Santa's Signpost Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Black Glittered Ribbon, Santa's Workshop Enamel Shapes, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I think this entire suite has sold out in the SU Holiday Mini Catalog and I can see why!
I have absolutely loved using it this season and will have more to share with you in the coming days!

********************************************************
My thoughts today....

I will be heading down to my stamp table this morning and hope I can get the cards & gift bags wrapped up today!
Tomorrow will be a few more treats to work on!
Tis the season, right?

That's all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your day!

Merry & Bright Candy Bar Wrappers

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

The start of a new week and the holiday season has begun!
Yesterday was a lovely day, full of bright sunshine and we got to almost 60 degrees!
I popped out for a few groceries and then hung my lighted garland on the front porch.
Took advantage of the warmer weather to finally get that done!
Today rain is in the forecast and Shawn had to go back to work after almost 2 weeks off.
I wish I could spend the day crafting but my housework awaits.
I am dreading it as much as Shawn is dreading going back to work.

So, today I am sharing a sweet treat that is one of my absolute favorites to make, Candy Bar Wrappers!

These use one of our new colors called, Merry Merlot.
A beautiful deep burgundy is what it reminds me of.
I paired it up with Sahara Sand because that is a color in the DSP.
Speaking of the DSP....the Joyeous Noel DSP is NO longer available.
I'm sad about that as each sheet is beautiful and has the Copper Foil throughout it.

Isn't that snowflake paper pretty?
I love the Sahara Sand, Whisper White and pops of Copper Foil in this sheet.

My stamped image is from the Christmas Traditions Punch Box on the inside cover of the SU Holiday Mini Catalog. Personally, it's a bit pricey but I caved and got it so I need to try my hardest to use it a bunch this holiday season!
Do you see that big ole pretty bow?
It is a mix of Merry Merlot and Copper Sheen. It is quite beautiful!
My sentiment panel was stamped with Merry Merlot and layered onto a Copper Foil Layering Circle Framelit. The only thing that would make this even more pretty would be if we had some Copper Enamel Dots! Y'all know how much I love my ribbon & embellishments! LOL

Project Details:

Stamps: Christmas Traditions Punch Box
Ink: Merry Merlot
Cardstock: Merry Merlot, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Copper Foil Paper, Joyeous Noel DSP 9NO longer available)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Circle Punch, Crimper, Merry Merlot/Copper Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope you have enjoyed my sweet treat project today!
Making those Candy Bar Wrappers is a quick & easy way to dress up a Hershey's Candy Bar and everyone always loves them as a sweet little treat or a stocking stuffer!

Candy Bar Wrappers

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your weekend is going well!
Yesterday there was no update from me.
We got up and were out running around all day!
It was a bright sunny day so it made it a nice day to be out and about.
It was a fun day!

Last week I had a call from my customer who had a special request for a couple of Candy Bar Wrappers for a special get together she will be attending next Saturday with some of her closest friends. She did not have any colors & paper in mind and left it all up to me.
This is what I chose for her treats....

These are always fun to create!

Project Details:

Stamps: Southern Serenade
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Punch, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Crimper, Cake Soiree Embellishment Kit (retired). Silver Metallic Enamel Dots, Silver Cord (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The best part was my customers reaction when she seen them!
She LOVED them especially the sentiment!
Always makes me smile when she loves what I create!

Candy Bar Wrappers

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday's sunshine was so nice and today is to be another 2 thumbs up kind of day!
I am headed back to painting as soon as I finish up this blog post. I did not get as much done yesterday as I hoped. I ran out of paint shortly after lunchtime. Shawn was kind enough to stop at Home Depot on his way home from work and picked up more paint. Today I won't stop until it's finished or I can't move anymore! Whichever comes first!

The project I have to share today is more Candy Bar Wrappers.
Remember the last one I made was for a customer Thank You. She requested some to give out with the same saying on. These also have those new Hershey Cookie & Mint Chocolate bars in. I taste tested one last evening....OMGosh are they GOOD!
So here are the couple I made....

Only difference in these compared to the one I made my customer was I used a different sheet of DSP.

Project Details:

Stamps: Suite Sentiments
Ink: Watermelon Wonder
Cardstock: Pool Party, Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White, Tasty Treats DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Pool Party Enamel Dots, Pool Party Satin Ribbon, Glue Dots, Crimper, 1 1/2 Inch Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These Candy Bar Wrappers are one of my favorite things to create and they are a fun little treat to give to someone!

My thoughts today...

Happy First Day of May!
It's certainly going to feel like May for a change!

Candy Bar Wrapper

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope everyone is doing well!

I took a bit of a blog break to let my hands rest but had to head back to my stamp table yesterday to work on a card order. I wanted to make a little thank you gift to put in my customer's bag and this is what I made....

I picked up a new flavor Hershey's Bar at the store over the weekend. They are Mint Chocolate and since my customer has a sweet tooth I figured she would enjoy this!

Project Details:

Stamps: Suite Sentiments
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Pool Party, Watermelon Wonder, Chocolate Chip. Whisper White, Tasty Treats Specialty DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Framelits,  Circle Punch, Pool Party Satin Ribbon, Crimper, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Festive Flurries

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Can you believe we are 5 days away from the big day!
I love Christmas but the hype of it all is just nuts anymore!

So, today I have my last Hershey Bar Wrapper of 2016 to show.
I'm sure I will be making more of these for different holidays & such but it's a bit sad that the craft show has closed but happy that all my Hershey Bars have sold and found a new home for Christmas! I hope all the recipients enjoy them as much as I have creating them over the years!

I have tried feverishly to use up retired/hoarded designer series paper this year! The paper I used on this was called Winter's Frost Specialty DSP from a few years ago. When it hit the Clearance Rack I ended up buying like 6 packs of it! I loved the colors & prints on each sheet so I obviously had NO self control when the price was also knocked down to under $6 a pack!

Hershey Bar Wrapper:

Stamps: Festive Flurries, Sentiment from Amuse
Ink: Island Indigo, Smoky Slate
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Whisper White, Silver Foil Paper, Winter's Frost Specialty DSP
Accessories: Festive Flurries Framelits, Lg Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Circle Punch, Crimper, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

And lastly I have another Covered Composition Book to share that is in the same colors and all.
Take a look....

Holiday Planner Composition Notebook:

Stamps: Festive Flurries, Papertreyink Sentiment
Ink: Island Indigo, Smoky Slate
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Whisper White, Silver Foil Metallic Dollies, Winter's Frost Specialty DSP
Accessories: SU Snow Burst EF, Festive Flurries Framelits, Lg Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These 2 items have definitely been craft show favorites over the years!

My thoughts today....

That's for sure!

Sparkle on my friends!

That's all for today!

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I have another Hershey Bar Wrapper to show today!

Aren't they pretty?

Of all the Hershey Bars I made this season...not a single one came home from the craft show!
Not much of anything came home from the craft show this year and that makes me happy!

Peace, Joy & Love Candy Bars:

Stamps: Peace This Christmas
Ink: Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, This Christmas Specialty DSP
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Crimper, Gold Gems, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This holds 1 regular sized Hershey Bar.

Snow Place Hershey Bars

Hello & Happy Friday!

I'm SO glad the weekend is here!
This week seriously flew by for me....probably because I was extremely busy with orders but I am happy to say that I finished up on Wednesday and yesterday I got everything delivered. I will probably have a few treat things to do yet for my own personal use for Christmas but i'm happy I got everything out to my customers!

Tomorrow is the last day of the Christmas craft show and then I can go pick up whatever is left.
Today I want to share more of my Hershey Bar Wrappers I made this past week for an order.

I wanted to do something different on this batch and since I did not use my Snow Place Bundle very much this season, I decided to get it out and create some cute candy bars!

Snow Friends Candy Bars:

Stamps: Snow Place, Amuse sentiment (on snowman)
Ink: Basic Black Archival, Early Espresso, Real Red, Island Indigo, SU Pumpkin Pie Marker
Cardstock: Island Indigo,Winter's Frost DSP, Real Red, Candy Cane Lane DSP, Early Espresso, Whisper White
Accessories: Snow Friends Framelits, Circle Punch, Lg Oval & Scallop Oval Punch, Softly Falling EF, Rhinestones, Sm White Pom Poms, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was pleased with these!
They took awhile to stamp & then cut each individual piece out but in the end they were definitely worth it, don't ya think?

*******************************************

My thoughts today.......

The holidays have now started for me!
I got lots of shopping to do and plenty to wrap!
Oh, and then there are treats to make & cookies to bake!
The joys of the holidays!
Bring it on!

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
