Happy 50th Anniversary

Hello & Happy Thursday!

This week seems to be flying by!

I have been staying busy in my craft room this week working on a card order which was delivered yesterday! Yippee Skippppee!

This card was part of the order in which I was asked to make a 50th wedding anniversary for a couple who are a huge part of the Holy Trinity Church in Columbia, PA. that makes the fasnachts to sell to the community every year. Fasnacht is a Pennsylvania Dutch thing and probably one of the best type of donuts around. Atleast I think so!  

My customer asked for something with donuts on and this is what I came up with.

Luckily, I remembered that the Cherry On Top DSP Pad had a sheet with colorful donuts on that I have never used till today. I like the colors of this, definitely bright!

This one was fun to put together and went pretty quick!

I hope my customer liked it...

WooHoo! It's the 1st Day of Spring!

Unfortunately, they are calling for snow showers here in PA today! Yikes! Not springy at all!!

I am still under the weather with this cold and it's no wonder with the crazy weather we've been having! I hope with Easter coming next weekend that our weather gets warmer. 

Anyways, today I wanted to share with you something I created for the 1st day of spring. I needed something cheery after a bunch of cloudy day!

Happy Birthday, Molly!

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I'm trying really hard on getting back to stamping & posting on my blog! I have a Stampin Up! order coming tomorrow so I hope it sparks my mojo! 

Today I am sharing a card I made for a little girl who is crazy about giraffes! 

It was her 2nd birthday!

Making cards for little ones is a toughie for me and I struggle. My kids are all grown and there are no little ones so it's not something I have alot of experience with. This card took me hours until I was happy with the results.

I used the Zoo Babies set and the sentiment was computer generated. The number 2 comes from the Bigz Alphabet Typeset Dies that is now retired. The strip of cut out hearts is from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. I think everything else is pretty explanatory.

Happy 79th Birthday, Pops!

Busy day ahead for me.....i'm working on making 2 pans of lasanga for tonights supper with the family! My Dad turns 79 today! That calls for a big celebration, wouldn't you say???!!!

Yesterday, I worked for several hours to make a really cool card for him. I always try to make something a bit different for him. Can ya tell i'm a Daddy's girl!!?? 

Anyways, I found the direction on the Splitcoaststampers page under Tutorials. These are called Card in a Box....

I think he's really going to like it!

Surprisingly, this card came together quite easy and I just love the finished product. Nice thing too, is that when it folds up it fits into a regular Medium Envelope!
