Strawberry Slush Valentine

 Hello & Happy Thursday, Friends!

Today I have a quick Valentine's card to share with you!
The card looks like a normal card on the outside but the inside I used the Blending Brushes to decorate for a different look...

Card Details:

Stamps: Endless Love, Forever Lovely (retired sentiment on front), Penny Black (sentiment inside)
Ink: Strawberry Slush
Cardstock: Strawberry Slush, Basic White, Thick Basic White, Made With Love DSP
Accessories: Endless Love Dies, Classic Label Punch (retired), Strawberry Slush Ribbon, Strawberry Slush In Color Pearls, Blending Brushes, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I made a template with some Thick Basic White cardstock using the large heart die from the Endless Love dies and I used that as a stencil for the inside. I used Strawberry Slush ink and brushed on the ink with a Blending Brush, then I stamped my images inside of the heart while the stencil was still attached. It really gives it a different look and also gave me a chance to break out my Blending Brushes since I don't seem to use them very often.
So much fun!

This pretty flower stamp has been sitting on my stamp table for atleast a month and on a whim last week I grabbed it and inked it up with some Timid Tiger ink. The inside says Thinking of You!

Penny Black Easter Bonnet

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today I have something a little bit different from my normal Stampin Up things. I was going thru my Easter drawer and found this adorable stamp from Penny Black and was inspired to ink it up and color it. I really was not expecting to make a card with it but I did! I have had this stamp for many years and i'm not even sure if Penny Black is still in business. I have a slew of their stamps that I always forget I have because I keep them separate from my Stampin Up stamps. They are tucked away in an iris cart which I hardly ever look thru which is a shame because they are just so cute!

Card Details:

Stamps: Penny Black-Easter Bonnet, Heartfelt Hello's (SAB 24)
Ink: Memento Black, Granny Apple Green, Stampin Blends-Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin, Granny Apple Green
Cardstock: Thick Basic White, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Basic White, Daffodil Delight DSP (retired), Granny Apple Green DSP (retired), Pumpkin Pie DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Pumpkin Pie Enamel Dots (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

All my Easter cards have been addressed and put out for the mail. I hope they are not too delayed and get to their destinations on time!

We are in for a rainy day today and I always say....it's a great day if your a duck!
I am making stuffed peppers for supper this evening which will help heat up the kitchen. It's been so cool & damp the last week or so. I'm hoping our weather soon improves to get out and walk in the evenings now that we have longer daylight!

Celebrate the Wonder

Hello & Happy Friday!

So happy the weekend is here but it's not going to make much of a difference as I am swamped with work that I really would like to wrap up by Wednesday next week. Once that's all done I can get my Christmas cards addressed and sent on their merry way so that I can concentrate on finishing up my shopping! 'Tis the season, right?

Today I have a cute penguin card to share that I made with that adorable Whipper Snapper guy. He's so much fun to color and then I add Clear Wink of Stella to the white of his hat for some sparkle. This guy has been in my stamp collection for along time and he's very loved!

I used my funky tilted panel on this card along with some retired Winter's Frost DSP.

Celebrate the Wonder Card:

Stamps: Whipper Snapper, Penny Black sentiment
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers, Island Indigo
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Smokey Slate, Whisper White, Winter's Frost DSP
Accessories: Circle Punch, Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Island Indigo Ribbon, Clear Wink of Stella, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I made a pack of these and sent them to the craft show.
People love the penguin cards!

Merry Monday Challenge Is BACK!

Hello & Happy Monday!

Merry Monday is back from our holiday break and we have a great challenge for you this week!
Let's get to it!

I absolutely love the crispness of a total white card but they sure are hard to photograph! This is the best I could get. I just got this Spiral Wreath Die from Penny Black yesterday at a local stamp store, I was so excited to find it there since it has been on my wish list for awhile. I left my square 5 X 5 card without a sentiment because I wanted my wreath to shine. It is popped up on some very small pop dots that were in my stash and they were perfect for this.To finish it up I added a clear rhinestone for a bit of sparkle. It's very pretty in real life!

Merry Monday Challenge #186:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Whisper White
Accessories: Snow Falling EF, Penny Black Spiral Wreath Die, Rhinestones, Pop Dots, 2 Sided Tape

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see the beautiful creations of my teammates and play along with us this week! It's time to get started on those Christmas cards for this year!

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day!

Color Challenge 556

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

What a rainy, dreary day here in PA and with this cough...it's definitely a PJ day for me!
I really hope this cough soon leaves me! I am really bothered with this hack constantly. Shawn told me to hit the Yukon Jack bottle but with taking pain meds, I don't think that's a good thing.

So, I popped downstairs this afternoon to get working on my Inventory Paper for my craft show. I first checked out today's Color Challenge from over at SCS and soon realized that I was chosen as the favorite last week from my friend, Mary Martinez!

This is the card she chose:

Thank you, Mary! Made my day!

So, I played along quickly with today's Color Challenge 556.

Here are the colors:

Tempting Turquoise, Real Red & Primrose Petals
with a dessert option of using a tag on our cards..

I passed on dessert....

I pulled out a Penny Black snowman stamp called Warm & Cold that is a very loved stamp in my collection. I think I am going to make a card set for my shows with this card since I love it!
What do you think?

Color Challenge 556 Card:

Stamps: Warm & Cold Snowman from Penny Black, Good Greetings sentiment
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Neenah White, Primrose Petals
Accessories: Stamp a Ma Jig, Rhinestones, 2 Sided Tape

Quick, fun & cute, don't ya think?

Ok, now back to the Inventory Paper!

Merry Monday Challenge #157

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! The weather here has been absolutely gorgeous and it looks to stay this way for most of the upcoming week!
Friday morning I went and had my procedure done for the sciatic pain. All went well and I came home and slept most of the day away! Saturday I woke up with a bit less pain. I am keeping ice packs on my back and have been taking it easy since. Still keeping my fingers crossed for that pain to completely disappear soon but I will be having another injection in a few weeks for the arthritis in my Facet Joints. I hope to feel like a million bucks after that! :)

So, this week we have a new challenge for you from over at Merry Monday. Bonnie is our hostess this week so let's get to it!

My card was made in quite a rush yesterday! My oldest daughter will be moving into the basement this coming week. They will be here for 6 weeks while they wait for settlement on their new house. She will be coming here with her boyfriend, Brad, and their 2 Jack Russell's (Shady & Rosco). So, while they work during the week, the 2 doggies will be crated downstairs and that is where my stamp room is. Yesterday, my dear sweet hubby brought a boat load of my stamp stuff upstairs to Kelsey's room and set up shop for me for the next few weeks until I get the basement back. It's a bit cramped with Kelsey's bed still in there but it's do-able for now. As I was setting up the room, I found this embossed piece of Cool Caribbean cardstock that had been heat embossed with a snowflake stamp from the Peddler's Pack. I added it to a layer of embossed snowflakes and attached that to a Cool Caribbean cardbase. Then I just grabbed a sentiment, cut it out with Circle Nestibilities and sponged it while still in the die. Added a button with white baker's twine and 2 clear rhinestones and called it done.
I was able to snap my picture with natural daylight for a change!! That makes me happy! LOL

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other ladies have created this week! Lots of inspiration!

Merry Monday Challenge #157 Card:

Stamps: Snowflakes- Peddler's Pack, Sentiment from Penny Black
Ink: Versamark, Winter White EP. Memento Black
Cardstock: Cool Caribbean, Whisper White
Accessories: Snow Burst EF, Heat Gun, Circle & Labels 3 Nestibilities, Button, White Baker's Twine, Sponge, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue

Well, that's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!!

Sketch Challenge 362

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your all having a great day & staying warm!
It's another rainy, dreary day here and the cold temperatures are heading east later today with some snow on the back side of the cold front. I hope this cold spell is short lived but then again I guess we have been spoiled by temps in the 50's & 60's here lately!

Anyways, besides being a rainy day, I have declared today a stay in my pj's kind of day! And what better to do than stamp in my pj's!!

Today is Sketch Challenge day over at SCS. Below is the layout and my sample!

I so love this snowman stamp from Stamps Happen. I have had him for a few years. Last year I found this designer paper by The Paper Studio in Joplin and it was .10 cents for an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet. I only grabbed a few sheets and i'm now down to my last sheet which I really DO NOT WANNA CUT! I have not been able to find anymore, sadly! It makes such a pretty holiday card too!

Sketch Challenge 362 Card:

Stamps: Snowman from Stamps Happen, Sentiment from Penny Black
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Marina Mist, PTI White, Glitter Paper from Micheal's, The Paper Studio DSP
Accessories: Marina Mist Grosgrain, Jolee's Snowflake Sticker, Scor Tape

Well, that's all for me for today!
I hope ya like my card....
