Our Creative Corner Challenge

Hi again!

I'm back real quick to share my Our Creative Corner Challenge project. The theme was 3D Valentines. I stewed on this for a few days and yesterday when hubby & I went to the store I seen these huge Kit Kat bars and grabbed 2. Shawn loves Kit Kats so I decided to wrap my Kit Kat and embellish it for him for Valentine's Day! I realize it's alittle too girly but he won't mind. He'll just take the chocolate and run anyways! LOL

Take a look...

Set Your Sails

Hello & Happy Sunday!

The last few days here in Missouri it has been beautiful! Saturday temperatures hit 75 and boy, I just hated to see the day end. Today, we got a reality check....back to the 30's and walking Fluffy this afternoon those winds were bitterly cold. The next few days now they are calling for rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow. Just a reminder that it is still winter.

I've been working on a card order the last few days and today I had to work on masculine cards. I enjoy making them! I dug out some unmounted stamps and got to work.

I was digging thru old designer papers and just trying to use some of them up but honestly if I was to never buy any more paper i'd have enough to last me 10 years! LOL Next year I think that will be my next challenge....use up designer papers! :)

Set Your Sails Card:

Stamps: Sailboat from Class Act, Sentiment from Inky Antics
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Cool Caribbean, White, DCWV Retro Pack
Accessories: Circle Nestibilities, Modern Label Punch, EK Success Wavy Border Punch, Satin Chocolate Ribbon, Cuttlebug Mesh Dots Embossing Folder, Gold Brads, Gold Charm, Scor Tape

I'm off to finish up one last card for the day!
I'll be back shortly to post it then off to bed.

Ways To Use It Challenge 306

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your all having a great day so far! I'm up and at it quite early today. Made hubby breakfast before sending him outside in the snow blowing, bitterly cold temps! It's one of those days to stay inside and hibernate! LOL Then got to work on today's Ways To Use It Challenge 306. It was themed Homemade Gradient which means we can use Kaleidacolor Pads for more than one color on our images. There are different ways you can do this but I chose to use my Blue Breeze Kaleidacolor Pad to make it much easier! Since it's snowing here I reached for another set that has been buried under dust for sometime, Snowflake Spot. This is my 13th set used in my personal challenge to see that all my sets see ink in 2011. It's been fun pulling out old sets and showing them some love! :)

I'm hoping we soon get some sunshine around these parts so I can get better pictures!

Ways To Use It Challenge #306 Card:

Stamps: Snowflake Spot( set #13), Warm Words
Ink: Blue Breeze Kaleidacolor Pad, Memento Black
Cardstock: Cool Caribbean, White
Accessories: Tim Holtz Snowflake Embossing Folder, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Labels 3 & Circle Nestibilities, Ribbon from Micheal's, Glitter Brad, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Great card especially for a snow day!
That's all for me today! Bundle up and stay warm where ever you are, folks!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Hello & Happy Hump Day!

Hope your day is off to a good start! We've made it half way thru the week but I know the second half of our week is going down hill with snow on the horizon for us here in MO. I know, I shouldn't complain because here we've been pretty fortunate as far as winter weather and yes there's a but coming LOL BUT, I sometimes wish we could skip the winter months and have spring, summer & fall for our 12 months of the year! Wouldn't that be awesome??!!
Anyways, the weather people here are calling for 2-4 tonight into tomorrow with some cold temps to follow....so bundle up, friends!

The SCS Sketch Challenge today stumped me a bit this morning till I found the right stamp set to make it happen. Below is the sketch and my samples...

Color Challenge 306~Beautiful Sympathy

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I'm off to a late start today!
It's sorta gloomy & dreary here so I felt the need to stay in bed this morning with the covers over my head! :)

Anyways, first thing I did was run to my computer to see what today's SCS Color Challenge was. The colors are: Bravo Burgundy, Baja Breeze & Pear Pizzaz. Since I don't have Pear Pizzaz I used Certainly Celery instead. At first these colors stumped me so while I showered I kept thinking what I could do with them. It all played out very well in my mind and sometimes whats in your mind doesn't come out on paper quite as well but i'm happy to say that I do like the outcome once it hit paper! :)

Take a look...

I also used another set in my own personal challenge to make sure all my stamp sets see ink in 2011. This is set # 11.

Color Challenge 305

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday, I took a bit of a break to get my housework done. It was a quiet day here with Fluffy at the groomers and it snowed most of the day! It was a beautiful sight but I hope it's a one & done deal. Back in PA we see snow all the time and after last year's 5 foot in one week, well that did me in! LOL

Today is a new day and before I move on to my Color Challenge card, I would like to personally wish my best friend back in PA...A Very Happy Birthday!! Deb K, I hope you have a great day! We miss you bunches!

The colors for today's Color Challenge #305 over at SCS are: Cherry Cobbler, Pretty in Pink & Melon Mambo. All great choices for making Valentine's cards!
Check out my card...

Again I applied an old set that was collecting dust...Happy Heart Day! Very cute set and one that is part of my personal stamp challenge! WooHoo! Stamp set #4..

I used a new Sizzix Embossing Folder that I picked up at Micheal's and also a new Martha Stewart Heart Border Punch. I colored my image with Copics and cut it out with the Circle & Lacey Circle Nestibilities. Then added my ribbon and my tag with a cool heart clothes pin that I found at Micheal's as well. I'm really liking my card today but i'm sure when I go to mail this card out it's gonna be costly due to the bulk! *Ughhh, can't win!

As I said previously, we had snow all day yesterday. Probably lucky if we got 2-3 inches. Just wanted to share 2 pics I snapped this morning hanging out the bedroom window. LOL It it pretty stinkin cold here to be outside. My weather thingy on my side bar said 9 degrees for 10am! Burrrr! Stay warm where ever you are today!

Color Challenge #305 Card:

Stamps: Happy Heart Day
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Cherry Cobbler, SU Whisper White
Accessories: Circle & Lacey Circle Nestibilities, Sizzix Hearts Embossing Folder, Martha Stewart Heart Border Punch, SU 1 in. Circle Punch, SU Lg & Sm Tag Punches, Heart Clothes Pin, Hot Glue Gun, Scor Tape

Hope ya like!

Well, that's all for me! Breakfast is calling my name or is it my stomach! lol
Thanks for stopping by & I hope you have a great day!
Happy Birthday, Deb K.!!!
