Happy BOO!

 Hello & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a nice weekend!
I have a busy day ahead with getting my cleaning done and then this evening I have a doctor appointment. Red Lion's Halloween Parade is tonight, too!

I am sharing the 3rd card that the the girls made for my recent Stamp Day w/ Friends get together. This card I cased from another demonstrator, Bonnie O'Neil. I had it saved in my favorites for quite awhile and decided to make it with the girls.

The little ghost came from a Paper Pumpkin Kit from a few years ago.
I had a few of them leftover so they were put to good use!

Card Details:

Stamps: Monster Munchies (retired)
Ink: Gorgeous Grape
Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic White, Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green
Accessories: Cobwebs 3D EF (retired), Oval Layering Framelits, Ghost (past PP Kit), Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love the pretty colors on this one!
Halloween does not need to be dark & scary and I do try to keep them bright & happy for the most part unless I know someone likes the scary stuff.
For me, I'll take cute for Halloween anyday!

Random Cards

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I'm sure by now most of you are all caught up in the craziness of Christmas!
I have a free day today and thought i'd share a few cards I made for recent card orders.

You know I love mixing old things with new and these cards will show that.
I pulled out an old hostess set called Made from Scratch from 2005 and added it to some Plaid Tidings DSP! I have gone thru almost 3 packs of this paper! I love it so much!

I pulled the color of my leaves from the colors in the paper!
So pretty and my card lady just loved them!

Card Details:

Stamps: Made From Scratch (retired), Sentiment from a Paper Pumpkin Kit (retired)
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Cajun Craze, Bumble Bee
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Whisper White, Cajun Craze, Bumble Bee, Plaid Tidings DSP
Accessories: Square Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Now on to Christmas...

This pack is pretty much the same as the Thanksgiving set except for the colors in the paper!

Card Details:

Stamps: Made From Scratch (retired), Itty Bitty Christmas
Ink: Melon Mambo, Seaside Spray, Misty Moonlight
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Seaside Spray, Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Plaid Tidings DSP
Accessories: Winter Snow EF, Square Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Rhinestones, Tombow Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue

The Plaid Tidings Paper was an absolute favorite of mine this holiday season!
I still have a few sheets left that I am anxious to use up in the coming months.
I hope you liked the sets of cards I shared today.

Thanksgiving Treat Boxes

Happy Friday!

Just wanted to share a little Thanksgiving treat I made.
This box is actually from a retired Paper Pumpkin Kit from maybe 2017.

I did a belly band around it using some Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP and some Embroidered Ribbon.
I stamped my sentiment from the Banner Year stamp set and flagged each end with a retired Banner Punch.
I popped that on with Dimensionals and tucked a diecut Gold Foiled leaf from the Gathered Leaves Dies under the sentiment.
I made these boxes back in July and just recently filled them with Reese's Peanut Butter Miniatures.
A sweet little treat to put at each person's table setting for Thanksgiving.

Pumpkin Treat Boxes

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I know....i'm posting really late today!
My hubby was home today since he was up most of the night with his phone ringing.
It even woke me and I snapped at him. It's getting old and we are lacking in the sleep department!
But in a way I was happy to have him home today since it rained buckets here!
I always worry when we get bad weather and he's on the road.

Anyways, I spent all day at my craft table plucking away at my Thanksgiving treats!
I rather enjoyed myself! And I got alot done!
I wanted to update my blog once I got downstairs this morning and I completely forgot.
Better late than never, right?

Tonight I am sharing another Halloween treat I whipped up.
This is something different and just came to me out of the blue once I found this particular treat...

Yep, I found a box of Halloween Oreo cookies at Sam's Club wrapped individually with 2 cookies inside. I was smiling from ear to ear that I found something a bit different than candy!
And besides, who doesn't love Oreo's?!!
As I rooted thru my stash I came across these Kraft boxes that I had from several years ago and luckily my cookies fit nicely inside! WooHoo!

As for stamps, I used a retired Paper Pumpkin set and a sentiment from the Wonderfully Wicked set.
I really like the nice font in it!

Project Details:

Stamps: Wonderfully Wicked (sentiment), Paper Pumpkin Kit (Sept 2018)
Ink: Basic Black Archival, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Happy Haunting DSP (retired)
Accessories: Kraft Boxes (retired), Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Halloween Night Twine (retired), Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These were so much fun to create!
I made 18 of these and so far I have 4 left!

Frights & Delights

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your week is going well!
I spent most of yesterday down at my stamp table working on Thanksgiving.
After the cards are done I will be moving on to a couple treats.
I don't do alot for this holiday but I have a couple people that love a little treat sitting at each person's table setting.

My card today is one from Saturday that my stamp ladies made and again I used retired products.

Anyone remember this set from 2003?

I told ya I have really been giving my oldies but goodies lots of love!
I decided to ink up that cute spider since I was using the retired SU Spider Web EF.
The saying on the front is from the September 2018 Paper Pumpkin as is the pumpkin on the inside.
The inside sentiment is from the retired Spooky Cat set.

Card Details:

Stamps: Trick or Treat (retired), Paper Pumpkin (retired, Spooky Cat (retired)
Ink: Basic Black Archival, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Happy Haunting DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Spider Web EF (retired), Black Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The ladies did a fantastic job putting their cards together!

Birthday Card for Sister Anna

Hello & Happy Friday!!

Finally made it to the weekend!

Today I got a pretty birthday card to share that was requested by my card lady for a friend of hers from church, Sister Anna. She wanted something Fall so I pulled out last years pack of Country Lane DSP and found something suitable.

This paper is really pretty and I thought it turned out beautifully for her friend!
She also requested a cross be put on it somewhere so I placed it inside.
The sentiment comes from an old Paper Pumpkin Kit. I tend to use that one alot because I like the font. The ribbon is Mint Macaron 1/4 Shimmer Ribbon that is from the annual catalog. It ties so nicely and is very soft.

Card Details:

Stamps: Paper Pumpkin Sentiment (retired)
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Country Lane DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Mint Macaron Ribbon, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Quick & easy and I was pleased with the outcome!
And i'm slowly using up my stash of Designer Series Papers!

Happy Birthday Cards

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Another busy day here!
My girls go to the Vet this evening for check ups. Kelsey will be going with Shawn since he can't handle both dogs at once. I do not do the Vets anymore. My anxiety goes thru the roof and I always think the worst so I just stay home and ask lots of question when they get home.

Yesterday I spent most of my day working on that card order.
I think I have about 10 packs of cards to make so I will be spending most of my week at my stamp table. She asked for some Fall birthday cards. I went searching thru papers and found a small pad from Recollections. I'm sure it was from moons ago!

Isn't that paper pretty?
I am surprised I have never seen it before more less used it!
I especially love that blue gingham print!

Card Details:

Stamps: Paper Pumpkin Kit (retired)
Ink: Marina Mist (retired)
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Marina Mist (retired), Whisper White, Recollections Paper Pad
Accessories: Stitched Nested Dies, Marina Mist 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Glue dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I can see more cards coming using this paper pad.
The prints are so pretty!

Happy Halloween

Hello & Happy Thursday!

It's football day here at the Aungst Pad!
Our Baltimore Ravens are playing the Philadelphia Eagles this evening in their 3rd preseason game.
It's sure to be a good game as long as we can keep our eyes open!
Hubby had lots of work calls late last night and last time I looked at the clock it was 11:30 and we were up at early this morning. Hopefully we will make it to half time!

Yesterday afternoon I played at my stamp table.
I was struggling after not stamping for a few days but I did manage to crank out a Halloween card from scraps in my stash.

I'm not real fond of the Bermuda Bay for a Halloween card but this one turned out pretty cute!
I only have scraps of the piece of paper with the Halloween characters on.
The paper comes from a retired pack called Motley Monsters and I only have 1 full sheet of it left and a bunch of scraps. I hope to use the rest up this year!

Card Details:

Stamps: Paper Pumpkin Halloween Sentiment (retired)
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Motley Monsters DSP (retired)
Accessories: Square Lattice EF (retired), Mini Paper Clip (retired), Crushed Curry Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Basic Black Twine (retired), Crushed Curry Enamel Dots (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Today I have a quick card to share made using The Paper Players sketch this week.

Here is the sketch and my sample...

With Mother's Day fast approaching I needed some help in getting a few cards made for a few special people. This layout was easy and it did not take long to whip this up!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sentimental Rose (SU April Paper Pumpkin Kit)
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Memento Black
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Gingham Gala DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Layering Leaves EF, Organdy Ribbon (SAB 19), Gold Metallic Enamel Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

A super fun sketch to the rescue!

Paper Pumpkin

Hello & Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!

I have a quick card to share today using April's Paper Pumpkin Kit.
It arrived last Thursday and that evening I whipped this card up with the stamp set that came with it.

I really wanted this kit because the stamp set that was included was a Distinktive set.
You know how much I love this style of stamps!

Gray Granite was the ink spot included and I did not want a gray flower.
Since the kit has Mint Macaron and Flirty Flamingo in it, I ran with those 2 colors.

I'm really happy with this!

Card Details:

Stamps: April Paper Pumpkin Kit
Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Mint Macaron, Memento Black
Cardstock: Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Layered Leaves EF, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Mint Macaron 3/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I like that big flower included in this kit and will use it more often.
It came with a bunch of different sayings too which is a plus!
After I received my kit last week I canceled my subscription.
I hated to do it but I am going to work hard on using what I already have!
You'll be seeing more of this beautiful bloom in the coming weeks!

Paper Pumpkin Kit

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
They just seem to fly by so quickly!
Yesterday I had my stamp day with friends.
They are always a great time full of laughs, good food and great conversations!
Oh, and card making!

This month we made Thanksgiving cards which I will share now that our class is over.
I always use a variety of new & old products on my cards because it does not matter to them.

My card today is created from a Paper Pumpkin Kit that was out maybe 2-3 years ago.
When I signed up to be a demonstrator in 2017, this Paper Pumpkin Kit came in my started kit to promote them.

I'm glad that I finally broke this kit open and used it for this class.
The kit makes it easy to put together with a bit of stamping and putting it all together.
The leaf punch outs really make this card stand out with the 3 different colored backgrounds that peek through. The Very Vanilla layer is corrugated. I added a small Mossy Meadow Twine bow to this as well as the 3 little gold rhinestones for some sparkle.

Card Details:

Stamp: Pleasant Pheasants (sentiment)
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Delightful Dijon
Accessories: Mossy Meadow Twine, Glue Dot, Gold Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Next year I will focus a bit more on using some of my older stash of inks, papers & stamps when I have these get together's.
I love breathing new life into the older stuff!

That's all for now!
I have a busy day at my stamp table working on Christmas Treats now that I was able to start getting candy. I just hope my hands will cooperate!
