Retiring Stamp Day #32

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start!
I got my card order delivered to my card lady last evening and grabbed some groceries on my way home so the weekend is wide open! We talked about taking Bailee to the Rail Trail today for a walk if the weather is nice. No bikes rides just yet with the crazy winds we've been experiencing but hoping soon!

Last evening when we got home, Shawn turned on a very old movie called Houseboat. I think he said it was made in 1958 staring Sophia Loren and Carey Grant. He loves the old movies! I made it thru half of it but could not keep my eyes open any longer. It was good & funny so I hope today to finish watching it. Have any of you seen it?

Today is day #32 of sharing a retiring Stampin Up! stamp set.
The set is Tasteful Touches with it's coordinating Tasteful Labels Dies from page 111 of the current Stampin Up! catalog. I love those dies and have used them so much in the last 2 years! So sad that they are leaving us...

I am not one much for fussy cutting but I stamped those pretty flowers from the stamp set and cut them out since there is not a die for it and tucked them under the sentiment panel.
I do love how this one turned out! I love monochromatic cards!

Card Details:

Stamps: Tasteful Touches
Ink: Blushing Bride
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Basic White, Blushing Bride DSP
Accessories: Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Tasteful Labels Dies, Iridescent Rhinestones, White Glittered Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Tasteful Touches Card Set

 Good Morning & Happy Saturday!

I almost said "Happy Sunday"! LOL
With Shawn having yesterday off and I am headed out for a quick haircut this morning.....it threw me off since I usually go for haircuts on Sunday mornings!

Anyways, I hope your having a great start to your weekend!

I have a set of Birthday cards to share today that my card lady requested.
It's not often she asks for masculine birthday cards so I try to keep them a bit neutral since she does not like anything with fishing, hunting or cars.
I usually use feathers on her masculine cards so I pulled out my Tasteful Touches stamp set and got to work!

These cards were designed just like the recent masculine card that we made at my last Stamp Day w/ Friends get together except I changed up the colors...

I used Crumb Cake & Soft Succulent inks & cardstocks on these and loved the outcome! So did my card lady!

Card Details:

Stamps: Tasteful Touches, Timeless Tulips (sentiment)
Ink: Crumb Cake, Soft Succulent
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Soft Succulent, Basic White
Accessories: Tasteful Labels Dies, Champagne Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I think I like the softer look to these compared to the Night of Navy/Gray Granite combo I used on the last card like these!
Soft Succulent is a color that at first did not exist on my radar but it is slowly growing on me! It is a new In Color this year and will be around until 2023! It reminds me of Sage Shadow if you've been around the Stampin Up! world along time you may remember that color!

So, I hope you liked these cards & the colors I used!
They were fun to make!

Tasteful Touches Masculine HB

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

Happy May 1st as well!!

Burrr, it got downright cold here overnight!
After a week of 80's & humidity, it turned very blustery yesterday and got quite cold this morning! They said our temps will bounce back into the mid 60's today and will still be very windy! I had to kick the heat back on just to take the chill off.

Last evening I had my Stamp Day w/ Friends get together for April.
We had so much fun!
We talked, laughed and made 5 cards!
It certainly is good for the soul to spend time with my friends!

My card today features the Tasteful Touches stamp set that is a hidden gem!
You could use this set for many different occasions.
This one I pulled the feather from the set to create a masculine Happy Birthday card!

The girls have lots of men in their lives so they always like make the masculine cards to have on hand. This one was very easy!
The diecut shapes on my card come from the coordinating die set called Tasteful Labels Dies and for the Night of Navy stitched scallop shape, we embossed that with my favorite, Tasteful Textile 3D EF!
The sentiment comes from the retired Happy Birthday, Gorgeous stamp set.
It was a small stamp that fit beautifully on the Basic White diecut.

Card Details:

Stamps: Tasteful Touches, Happy Birthday, Gorgeous (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy, Gray Granite
Cardstock: Gray Granite, Night of Navy, Basic White
Accessories: Tasteful Labels Dies, Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Rhinestones, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The ladies loved this one and had a fabulous time making it!
I try to keep things simple for them and using the feather to create our own background dsp so to speak was quick & easy!

I have a pack of cards coming up later this week to share using the same stamp set for my card lady! Using the feather makes for a great masculine card if fishing, hunting or cars are not something you'd want to use to create a masculine card.
You can't go wrong!

Tasteful Touches Gift Bags

 Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
My girls got groomed and I must say they look fabulous!
It was pretty stinkin hot & humid out again!
I stayed in and did some stamping on Saturday & Sunday, even snuck a nap in there on Saturday!
Worked on some Halloween treats & a pack of cards for my card lady.
Today, however, is my cleaning day, so no stamping for me.

I am sharing my decorated Gift Bags that I made the girls for my Stamp Day w/ Friends get together that was last weekend. These pictures did not turn out as nice as I had hoped and I can't retake them as the girls already took them home.

I used the new Tasteful Touches Bundle from the Stampin Up! Annual Catalog!
It is on pages 122-124.
A great set for men or women and the In Good Taste DSP is just as amazing!
I used some Rococo Rose Scallop Linen Ribbon on them.
It's not the best ribbon for tying a bow but I managed it!

Project Details:

Stamps: Tasteful Touches
Ink: Rococo Rose
Cardstock: Rococo Rose, Whisper White, In Good Taste DSP
Accessories: Tasteful Labels Dies, Rococo Rose Scallop Linen Ribbon, In Color Faceted Gems (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I always make these bags up for the girls for Stamp Day and also for card orders.
The last batch I picked up at the Dollar Tree were pretty chewed up!
Looked like they came thru a hurricane so i'm not sure what is going on.
I always recommend the Dollar Tree for the white gift bags but being that they were not glued very well and all wrinkled, i'm not sure I will continue using theirs. I use to get them at AC Moore, too, but now that they are closed....what's a crafter to do?!
Time will tell...

Funny, that's exactly how I look & feel when doing my mopping, too!
LOL

Anyways.....
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

In Good Taste Suite

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Woke up this morning to a nice cool morning for a change! There is almost a Fall feel to it. I noticed one day last week that the Fall grass is starting in the backyard! Maybe that will mean an early Fall after the long hot summer. I have my fingers crossed!

Today would have been my Dad's 85th birthday. He passed away 3 months ago yesterday. He is on my mind daily. Sometimes it makes me smile and sometimes it makes me cry and even though I miss him, I know he's in a better place.

Happy Birthday, Dad!

I have another card to share from Saturday's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together.

As i've said before, the girls love their masculine cards!
This one uses a new suite from the Annual Catalog called In Good Taste.
It is on pages 122-124.
The In Good Taste Designer Series Paper or DSP is loaded full of awesome prints & patterns!
It's a big package of paper, 12 X 12 sized with 24 sheets.
If you make lots of masculine cards, this paper is for you!

Stamps: Tasteful Touches, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, In Good Taste DSP
Accessories: Tasteful Labels Dies, Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch, Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I used this suite to create their gift bags to take their cards home in.
I will share them later this week!
Hope you like this one!
So easy to put together!
