Split Front Card

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

So yesterday I said that we did not have any issues with those thunderstorms rolling thru Monday evening...well, last evening we went to Walmart and the town that it is in was pretty much shut down. We had 2 different detours just to get there and oh my Lord, the damage we saw! Roofs blown off buildings, trees down on power lines and corn fields with the corn completely laid over. It reminded me of what we saw in Joplin, Missouri in 2011. Needless to say nothing was open....Walmart included. People from the local fire companies were handing out ice to residents to help keep there food cool. They say power may not be restored until Friday. The National Weather Service was out surveying the damage and i've not yet heard whether it was a tornado or straight line winds.

Anyways, today I have a pretty cool card to share with you made using a new to me fun fold.
This is called a Split Card and it's just that....the front is split into two pieces! I will explain....

Card Details:

Stamps: Inked & Tiled
Ink: Lost Lagoon, Calypso Coral, Lost Lagoon, Crushed Curry & Calypso Coral Stampin Write Markers
Cardstock: Lost Lagoon, Very Vanilla, Inked Botanicals DSP
Accessories: Nested Essentials Dies, Rhinestones, Lost Lagoon Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Directions:

Start with your cardbase measuring 4 1/4 x 11.
Score @ 5 1/2.
Place card in trimmer and measure 2 inches from that 5 1/2 inch score line and cut off.
The piece that is left your going to cut 2 inches off and that will go at the bottom of the card.
Then you can decide what you will use to hold the bottom piece of cardstock on. I used the long Nested Essentials Dies. I adhered it to the top of my cardbase and once I had that on I placed my other 2 inch piece of cardstock at the bottom of my card and glued the bottom of my Nested Essentials Die down. Make sure to only use a tiny bit of glue on that. I decorated mine as went along. Hope this makes sense.
This is why it is called a Split Front card.
Any questions please feel free to email me at blueyes966@outlook.com

I am still on a roll with making customer Thank You cards.
I just love this style!

July 4th Little Debbies

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

It is another rainy morning here in south central PA but that's fine with me....my garden & flowers so desperately need it! We had a misty type of rain most of the day yesterday which is perfect for the garden. I seen rain for the next week so let's hope this makes up for the lack of water!
Today I am sharing another sweet treat that I created using the Little Debbie Nutty Buddy Bars. I found these at the grocery store recently and since my family loves them I created a little box for them. This is what the box looks like if you are looking for them...

Since I created these to fit the Nutty Bars I wanted to share the measurements but I can't find them. I wrote them down as I was making them. If I find them I will make sure to post them. I hope I did not accidentally throw them away but I will look first thing when I get to my stamp table today.

ETA: I found the directions!

Cardstock measuring 5 x 5 3/8
With the 5 3/8 side at the top of your paper trimmer or Score Board score @
1/2, 1 5/8, 2 1/8, 3 1/4
Use the bone folder to get nice creases. The 1/2 panel is where you add the adhesive and attach to back of box.
Decorate & have fun!
I placed my Little Debbie Nutty Buddies inside before I adhered it to the back. They fit snuggly in this pouch.

If you make any of these please share them with me in the comments section.
I'd love to see them!

Project Details:

Stamps: God Bless America (retired), Papertreyink (retired sentiment)
Ink: Blueberry Bushel & Real Red Stampin Write Markers, Real Red
Cardstock: Blueberry Bushel, Basic White, Glorious Gingham DSP
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Nested Essential Dies, Stitched Stars Dies (retired), Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The sweet treat just fits snug in these and slide out either end.
I wish Stampin Up! would give us another fun July 4th/Patriotic stamp set. It has been a few years since we've had one.

Wonderful World

 Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY!

Yesterday turned out to be an eventful day!
I worked on my card lady's order and was just about ready to call it a day at my stamp table when she called and asked for more cards. I was there for about 2 hours longer than I anticipated but as of this morning I only need 1 more card to finish unless she calls me again! LOL
Then Shawn calls me at 3:30 to tell me that the car (Chrysler 300) left him sit at work. He just had it at the garage and had some work done on it and a day later it would not start. Next thing ya know the tow truck backs into the driveway with the car & Shawn. Not sure what the next step is! LOL
Then we had thunderstorms for about 2 hours straight. It really rained which was good for the garden & grass. Then we hopped in the truck and did a quick run to Walmart. Last night was the 1st night of preseason football which we completely missed but it was ok since it was not our team playing. My head hit the pillow around 9pm and I think I died! LOL I never heard Shawn get up for work this morning and I did not wake up till almost 7am! That hardly ever happens!

So, today I have 1 more card to make for Audrey then I have lots of laundry waiting to get started. We are in for another hot & humid day with another round of rinse & repeat storms. Kelsey has the day off so maybe tonight we will take a quick trip to Hobby Lobby. I know she is looking for a few things for her new hutch which looks amazing! She is so good at decorating!

I have a set of cards to share that I did whip up the other day for my card lady's order. She loves her cards that have no sayings on which I do struggle with. This set kinda came easy to me!

Those dies are the Diorama Dies that came out last year.
I only just recently got them and these were the first play with them!
They remind me of dippy eggs as we call them or eggs over medium.
They were the perfect die to fit my beautiful flower!
This is the Wonderful World bundle that is a SaleABRation offering for spending $100. There are so many pretty prints in this pack of DSP. Just lovely if your a flower person!

Card Details:

Stamps: Wonderful World (SAB 22)
Ink: Starry Sky & Mossy Meadow Stampin Write Markers
Cardstock: Starry Sky, Basic White, Wonderful World DSP (SAB 22)
Accessories: Diorama Dies, Brushed Brass Butterflies, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These came together so quick & easy and the best part, there is nothing popped up!
I hope she will like these!

Wonderful World Card Set

 Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY!

It's been a warm week and later today our temps are to drop and give us a beautiful weekend.
The Red Lion Yard Sales are happening here in town this weekend so maybe we'll check them out. Shawn wants to paint the concrete on the back porch before he puts the glider & furniture back. That will make it look really nice! I am gonna take it easy and do some stamping in between loads of laundry. I have a pretty sore arm from my booster shot on Wednesday evening. Oh and quite the egg lump, too! Other than that i'm fine.

So today I am sharing a set of cards that I made for my card rack using a brand new SaleABRation offering. SaleABRation starts July 1st thru August 31st. This set is called Wonderful World Bundle. The stamp set comes with coordinating DSP. It's a floral set and very pretty!

This is a cling stamp set so I was able to use Stampin Write Markers on my stamp.
A fun technique that I enjoy doing!

Card Details:

Stamps: Wonderful World (SAB 22), Go To Greetings
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz & Rich Razzleberry Stampin Write Markers
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Basic White, Wonderful World DSP (SAB 22)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Iridescent Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I absolutely love the DSP in this bundle!
