Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 108

Hello & Happy Sunday!

I know i'm posting pretty late. Today was a very unusual day to say the least. This afternoon I went out to the garage to give Shawn a haircut with the clippers and before we went out there it was raining and thundering alittle. So I proceeded to buzz his hair and all of a sudden the thunder & lightening got worse and the hail came. It lasted for atleast 10 mins. and that's no lie! Thankfully, both cars were in the garage safe from all that pounding. At one point it was so loud I thought a tornado was coming! Here are some pictures of what we found once it stopped.

Everything was covered with hail balls not snow although it looks like snow!

Alright, so the reason your here is to see my Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge card.
Below is the sketch and my samples:

I flipped the sketch to fit my stamp....

I also used set #43 in my quest to see that all my stamps see ink. :)

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 106

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope you all had a great day! Today was a warm one here! Got out and took Fluffy for a walk then took a drive. Every now and then the sky just darken up and it looked as if the sky was gonna drop but hasn't so far. Still calling for severe storms tonight which makes me alittle uneasy.

Anyways, between our afternoon drive and watching Jeff Gordon win the race today, I finally made my way to my stamp room to get the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge done. It looks like an easy sketch but for me I struggled a bit. I used another SU set called Easter Blossoms which is set #30 in my quest to see that all my stamps see ink in 2011. I'm gettin there! LOL

Below is the sketch and my samples...

I really love this stamp set & those gorgeous Springtime Vintage DSP!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 105

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Yeah!!! Nascar is back today with the Daytona 500! I'm so excited!
I'll be rooting on my fav. driver Mark Martin, as always!

Anyways, today Shawn & I were up early but he's since already gone back to bed for a few more Zzzzzzz's! I, however, popped into my stamp room and after seeing today's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge......decided to play along!
Below is the sketch and my samples....

I was rooting thru my image box looking for some Easter stuff and came across this flower image from a set called Looks Like Spring that I no longer have. The image was stamped in Cameo Coral which is a color I hardly ever used. I grabbed the image and went in search of some papers that matched. I came across this package of SU paper called "Walk in the Park" that lucky for me had Cameo Coral in it! The rest just fell into place! :)

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 105 Card:

Stamps: Looks Like Spring, Well Scripted
Ink: Cameo Coral, Memento Black
Cardstock: Cameo Coral, Baja Breeze, White, Walk in the Park DSP
Accessories: Circle & Circle Scallop Nestibilities, Pearl Brad, Baja Breeze Seam Binding, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

I'm very happy with my card today! I guess it's the springy colors! LOL

Well, I think I just may go crawl back under the blankets alittle bit with hubby then hit up the race then! Also making a big Sunday dinner today....ham, mashed potatoes & a vegie! Mmmmm sounds good already!

Have a great day & enjoy your Sunday!

6 Days till Christmas!

Good Morning & Happy Sunday!

I'm up and at'em too early here on a Sunday morning but I have a few things on my stamp table that I wanted to get finished up before I get my day started with a good cleaning! Before I show you one of the things I needed to get done, I would like to share a Christmas RAK from one of my stamp girls back home. Cinda is our artsy fartsy girl of the group....as we call her! hehe She loves the vintage/antique stuff with lots of glitter and shiney things and this chipboard Christmas tree she sent me is so cute!

I don't know what she used to make it but I love all the glitter & brads on this. It will be displayed in my stamp room for a very long time, Cinda! I love it! Thank you!!!

So yesterday I spent too much time searching SCS for a gift card holder with directions. I knew what I was looking for but couldn't find it. Then this morning I seen the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and that was it! Below is the sketch layout & my samples. Take a look....

It all fell into place for me once I seen the sketch this morning! 1 down, 2 more to go! LOL I love this Santa image from the SU set called Jolly St. Nick from the Holiday Mini. The images stamp so nice and are super easy to color! Oppsie, I did forget to add my glitter to my Santa hat! LOL I must not be quite awake yet! I'll have to do that before I package this cutie up! This is for a special friend back home that reminds me of Santa! hehe Any guesses as to who it is??

SSSC#97 Card:

Stamps: Jolly St. Nick, Sentiment from Hero Arts
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Real Red, PTI White, Pretty in Pink, DSP from SU
Accessories: Scallop & Circle Punches, Scallop Border Punch, Sm Snowflake Punch, REd Rhinestones from Micheal's, Scor Tape

Well, that's all for me today! It's cleaning day....*sigh*! Not fun but someone's gotta do it!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Happy Holidays!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 94~ Holly Chickadee

Happy Sunday, friends!

Hope you all had a great weekend.
I decided today to take the pludge and participate in another new to me challenge. The sketch looked pretty easy but I have to say that I struggled with it.

Here is the sketch layout & my samples:

I got this Holly Chickadee stamp at the York Stamp Show last month and have not inked it till now. It is by Impression Obsession. I love their stamps!
I used Real Red for my card base then used a layer of Old Olive and white under the mail image. The white piece is embossed with Cuttlebug's Holly Branch Folder which I purchased last year and never used. I love it but hated that most of it is covered up. I colored my image with Copic Markers. Cut it out with Circle Nestibilities and added some red pearls from Kaiser. The Old Olive & Real Red pieces are punched with SU's Scallop Trim Border Punch. I don't know what it is about that punch but I love it! :) Lastly I added some 5/8 in Old Olive Grosgrain with a flat bow. I'm not real wild on my card but it's growing on me.

Well, hubby is in the kitchen making Apple Crisp for snack and i'm sitting here watching the AMA's and wishing they'd bring Bon Jovi back on stage! LOL Weren't they good?? :)
So, that's all for me tonight! Thanks for stopping by!
