Halloween has finally arrived!
I got my house decorated and the candy ready to hand out to the trick or treaters this evening! Last year we were lucky we had 20 kids so I am hoping for more than that!

I don't have any Halloween cards of my own to share today so I thought I would share a couple that arrived in my mailbox the last few days...

In Symmetry Note Pad

Good Morning & Happy Sunday!

Today it's to get into the 90's so I am going to be staying in and soaking up the cool air! Hoping to get some stamp time in and maybe a small nap, too!

I have a cute project to share today!
This Note Pad came to me from my upline & friend, Vicki Burdick to congratulate me on my sales in April.

I loved the size of this and that beautiful Hydrangea paper!
Thank You, Vicki! I love it!
So, of course, I had a pack of these notepads in my stash and had to make my own!

I pulled out the In Symmetry stamp set and got to work!
I started with my pack of Sweet Symmetry DSP and started with the colors in my paper. Flirty Flamingo, Bumble Bee and Just Jade are the colors I went with and I was pretty pleased with the outcome!

Project Details:

Stamps: In Symmetry
Ink: Bumble Bee, Just Jade, Flirty Flamingo
Cardstock: Flirty Flamingo, Bumble Bee, Basic White, Sweet Symmetry DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Playful Alphabet Dies, White Baker's Twine, Rhinestones, Foam Adhesive Sheets, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The little pens I have had for a long time!
I think they came from Walmart.
Not sure on the size of the notepads but I will update that once I get to my stamp room later today to measure. They came from the Dollar Tree and i'm not sure if they still carry them or not. You could make these Notepads with any size though.

I enjoyed making this.
Thank You, Vicki, for the pretty gift!

A Day of Remembering

 Hello & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a nice weekend!
Saturday we got the bikes out for a quick ride on the Rail Trail!
It was a beautiful day and felt great to get out and soak up the sunshine.

Today has been a year since my Dad passed away.
I received a card in the mail from a friend that totally took me by surprise and brought me to tears that someone remembered.
This card is from my friend, Carol, and it is absolutely gorgeous!

While this past year has been difficult because of Covid and all the changes we've all had to go thru....it was even more difficult with his passing.

I was recently at my doctor for a checkup.
Last year she put me on medication to help with my grief.
I knew the anniversary date was coming and wished I could have just crawled under a rock and not appear until the next day. My doctor suggested to me to not drown my sorrows on this day but rather to do something to celebrate & honor him. This has been sitting on my mind since then.

My Dad was a good man that has been thru many obstacles in his lifetime like polio at a young age and then prostate cancer later in life and heart issues.
He loved to travel and go on vacation!
He loved his kids & his grandkids all the same and I can say that he was my biggest fan (besides my husband) when it came to my cards & treats!
He loved having my treats to give to some of the neighborhood kids or friends at the local coffee hang out in the mornings! He usually requested them for every holiday and he is the one who found my card lady!

So, today I plan to honor him and to always cherish the memories I have of him!
He will always be loved and dearly missed!!!

And Carol, thank you so much for the beautiful card but most of all for remembering! 💓

Part of My Story

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Woke up to some pretty sunshine this morning which always helps put a spring in my step!
We've had so many gloomy, rainy days since last summer and every little bit of sunshine helps!
I know it's not gonna last as we have more rain on the way for tonight into tomorrow.

I have a really sweet card to share today that I whipped up in about 20 minutes last week.
I sent it to a friend to brighten her day!
I love sending out a little bit of happiness each week.
#makeacardsendacard

This time I used more of the SaleABration paper that comes in the Painted Season's bundle that is only available with a $100 order during SaleABration.

I was happy to know that my friend received it yesterday so I was in the clear to now share it here.
She said it definitely brightened her day and that was what it was suppose to do!
I love sending a card out with no other purpose than to brighten someone's day and make them smile.
Happy mail is SO much better than getting bills in the mail, don't ya think?

Card Details:

Stamps: Part of My Story (SaleABration 2019)
Ink: Poppy Parade
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Painted Season's DSP (SaleABration 2019)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Poppy Parade Striped Ribbon, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Today I need to get to my stamp table to whip up a couple of cards so they can get in the mail asap!
I will share tomorrow!

Thinking of You, Sunflowers

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday I worked on a card order most of the day or atleast until my eyes got wonky on me.
My customer asked for several packs of cards with sunflowers on to go along with this time of year.
I recently got the September 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit off of Ebay and in that kit was a cute sunflower stamp. This is what I used on this set of cards.

I am in love with these little photopolymer stamps that are in the set, Something Good to Eat from the Paper Pumpkin. The sunflower could probably pass as a sunshine too! Since this set is for my customer I kept these cards simple for easy mailing. I'm pretty sure she mails lots & lots of cards out each week!

Thinking of You Card Set:

Stamps: Something Good to Eat- Paper Pumpkin Kit 2016, Colorful Seasons- sentiment
Ink: Crushed Curry, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Accessories: Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle Dies, Clear Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I also want to send out a huge Thank You to my sweet friend, Mary Anne!
I received this birthday card in the mail last week and i've been wanting to get it photographed and put on the blog but the last few days have been busy. I finally got it done!
Isn't this card gorgeous?? First off I have to say that I love the sentiments she used on this card....I use to have this set, probably one of the very first saying sets I purchased from Stampin Up...moons ago! Such a pretty bird die as well as all those beautiful flowers!

Thank you, Mary Anne & Jim! So pretty!

My thoughts today.....

Our weather is suppose to be showery the next few days so I wanted to share some pretty sunflowers to help make the next few days be a bit brighter! I love sunflowers but I have never grown any! Maybe next year I will have to change that because they are so pretty!

Well, that is all from me today!
I am back at my stamp table to finish up 2 more packs of cards then I have some more Halloween goodies to work on. Have you noticed our daylight seems to be getting shorter & shorter each day? I love the Fall season but am not looking forward to it getting dark at supper time!

Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a great day!
~Wendy
