Easter Bunnies

Hello & Happy Saturday!

It's to be a nice day after heavy rain came thru last night!
We may try to get out for a bike ride this afternoon because tomorrow we have more rain coming.

Today I have one last Easter card to share.
This one uses more of the Petals & Paisleys DSP and some diecut bunnies that a friend sent me.
They were too cute not to use!

I'm not sure who the maker of the diecut is but those bunnies are adorable!

Card Details:

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes (retired)
Ink: Tempting Turquoise (retired)
Cardstock: Tempting Turquoise (retired), Whisper White, Petals & Paisleys DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, unknown Bunny diecut, White Organza Ribbon, Tempting Turquoise Enamel Dot (retired), Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This style of card is a Z Fold.
Always fun to make something different!

Spring Gifts

Hello & Happy Friday!

It's been a long week and i'm happy for the weekend to be here!

Today I have another Easter card to show.
I pulled out more retired things for these.

Anyone remember the set called Spring Gifts?
This is the set I inked up and used my Copics to color it.

I colored this image to match the paper which is also retired.
The paper is Petals & Paisleys DSP from 2007.

Card Details:

Stamps: Spring Gifts (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Tempting Turquoise (retired), Whisper White, Petals & Paisley DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Old Olive 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I made 3 of these since I had just a few sheets of this print left.
I still have 1 full sheet of this Petals & Paisleys DSP left and a boatload of scraps!
I need to find something to do with all those scraps!
If you have any suggestions please let me know!

Chocolate Bunny

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well!

Yesterday we got that bike ride in!!
It was tough when we first started out as we were fighting the 20 mph winds that were associated with a cold front that was coming thru. That was tough and I am feeling it in my muscles today!

I got to work last week on making myself some Easter cards.
Of course, I pulled out my entire basket of Easter sets and decided to use my beloved Chocolate Bunny stamp! He's certainly been well loved over the years!

I used many retired items on these which is helping little by little to get that old stash down!

Card Details:

Stamps: Chocolate Bunny (retired), Teeny Tiny Wishes (retired)
Ink: Bashful Blue, Versamark
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Delicate Dots DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Be Mine Stitched Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Heat Gun, White Embossing Powder, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The bunnies were already embossed and in my stash for a few years!
Felt great using it up!
I got 8 cards made and I only have 2 full sheets and a bunch of scraps left of this DSP!
WooHoo!

That's exactly what I am going to be doing today!
It's my day to play!

Easter Blossoms

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday our weather was a 10+!!!
I am hoping for more days like that!

So today is my light therapy appointment but it's way earlier than my usual time.
Shawn decided to throw the bikes in the truck and head to the Rail Trail once I am done and get a quick ride in as long as our weather is still nice! That is like a little piece of heaven to me!
So peaceful and so good for the soul!

I have a cute card to share today that I made and already sold.
Everything is retired and like I said, I am trying really hard to use up my stash!

Isn't that such an adorable image?
I honestly don't think I have used this image much in the past so I was happy to get a perfect image with it. Sometimes the solid images are tough to get a very good stamped image.
I used some retired Springtime Vintage DSP as well as Rose Red ink, cardstock and ribbon!
Oh and a Rose Red Enamel Dot!

Card Details:

Stamps: Easter Blossoms (retired)
Ink: Rose Red (retired), Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Rose Red (retired), Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Springtime Vintage DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Rose Red Grosgrain Ribbon (retired), Rose Red Enamel Dots (retired), Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I have to tell you that I had such a great time making this card!
So happy everything fell into place smoothly!
And to top it off.....it already sold to my customer!
That makes me happy!

Easter Blessings

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!
We finally had an entire weekend of nice weather so we definitely took advantage of it!
We got our bikes out for a quick ride yesterday and every muscle in my body is hurting today!

So today I am sharing an Easter card that I whipped up for myself.
I did not get any St Patrick's Day cards made this year so I am making sure my Easter cards are done!

I dug into some old ink, cardstock & DSP for this one and it turned out beautifully!

Card Details:

Stamps: Hold on to Hope, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Always Artichoke (retired), Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze (retired)
Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Always Artichoke (retired), Very Vanilla, Springtime Vintage DSP (retired)
Accessories: Crosses of Hope Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Silver Metallic Enamel Dot, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It always feels good to use retired products which I am going to be doing more of in the coming months. I have SO much old stuff that is screaming to be used!
I know i'm not alone!

Hey Friend

Good Morning & Happy Sunday!

Hope you are enjoying the weekend!
Yesterday our weather was beautiful so we took the girls out for a walk at the Rail Trail!
It sure pooped them out..and me too!
Today we are planning to pack up the bikes and get a ride in while our weather is nice!
By days end though the clouds are to move back in and bring rain for Monday.
So, yes, taking advantage of it while we can!

Last evening I also delivered a card order.
It's been ready for about 2 weeks so I was happy to get that off my shoulders and into her hands!
My customer got us a dozen of faschnaut donuts last month that her Catholic church makes every year and I wanted to make her a card to say Thank You! Ryan just loves those donuts, as we all do!

I saw this card sketch on Pinterest and this is the card I made for her...

I pulled the fun, bright colors from the retired Picture Perfect Party DSP from last year's Occasions Mini Catalog. This sheet has donuts on it which was just what I was looking for.
The "hey friend" stamp is from the Itty Bitty Greetings set and the dots stamped on the cardbase is from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set which is still available.
Lastly. my ribbon is the Lemon Lime Twist Umbre Ribbon which at one time was tied in a knot around a card and I trimmed off the long tails and used a Glue Dot to adhere it to my card.

Card Details:

Stamps: Itty Bitty Greetings, Picture Perfect Birthday
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White, Picture Perfect Party DSP (retired)
Accessories: Lemon Lime Twist Umbre Ribbon, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My friend just loved this card especially the fun colors!
She's such a sweetheart!

My thoughts today...

I might not be able to move the rest of the day but I most definitely will enjoy the ride!

Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your day whatever you do!

Masculine HB

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Today I have the last card from last weekends Stamp Day w Friends to share.
I figured we all need masculine cards so I whipped this one up!

I had everything diecut ahead of time.
All the ladies had to do was some simple stamping.
The Early Espresso cardbase was stamped with the Tree Rings background stamp with Early Espresso ink. Then they popped up the trees & deer with Mini Dimensionals.
Lastly we tied the Linen Thread around the Very Vanilla layer and stamped the sentiment on.

Card Details:

Stamps: Tree Rings, Special Celebrations
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla, Wood Texture DSP
Accessories: Card Front Builder Framelits (retired), Linen Thread, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I always forget that I have these Framelits when it comes to making a masculine card!
These Framelits actually go with a retired Christmas set called Carols of Christmas.
Always good when you get more bang for your money!

Easter Treat Holder

Hello & Happy Friday!

Along with the rain we are getting today it's sorta a somber kind of day.
My hubby found out yesterday that they closed his work.
They told management, then on to the employees, then walked mostly everyone out.
Shawn was asked to stay on a few more weeks until they get all the equipment cleaned & shipped to other facilities. He sorta had a feeling about this but in the end it shocked everyone, even him.
He is a motivated guy and very well liked so i'm sure finding another job will happen in time. He came home yesterday around noontime. I think we are a bit numb....

So, a few weeks ago my friend, Vicki over at It's A Stamp Thing suggested we do an Easter Treat holder as a little challenge between us. I was all for it!
Here is the treat holder I made and most of them sold at my Stamp Day w Friends event last Saturday!

One day I decided to play around with the Popcorn Box Thinlits die.
Since I had the Gingham Gala DSP, I went for the colors in the paper pad.
I diecut one in each color.....Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight and lastly Lemon Lime Twist.
Oh, they were SO pretty is these pastel colors!
I made a handle for them in each color so they could be used as an Easter basket.
I punched out 2 Whisper White Daisies from the Daisy Punch then a 1 inch circle in each color.
Man, that Gingham paper is beautiful and these turned out just super cute!
I filled each basket with some shred paper and a 2X8 Cello bag filled with Reese's Peanut Butter Miniatures and tied them closed with the SaleABration's pretty Organdy Ribbon that matched this pack of paper!
Lastly I stamped Easter Blessings on Whisper White cardstock in Black Memento ink then punched it out with the Classic Label Punch and attached it to baskets.
I only have 1 left which I will gift to one of the kids for Easter.

Project Details:

Stamps: Itty Bitty Greetings (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White, Gingham Gala DSP
Accessories: Popcorn Box Thinlits (retired), Daisy Punch, 1 Inch Circle Punch, Classic Label Punch, Organdy Ribbon Pack (SAB), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These were such a breathe of fresh air sitting in my stamp room the last few weeks!
I adored the pops of springtime colors and the pretty Daisies on each basket!
So much fun, too!
Now go check out Vicki's Easter Treats here!
I know hers will knock your socks off!

Just Because

Good Monday Morning, Everyone!

Hope you all had a nice weekend!

Today I promised you a card from my friend, Nan!
It's a beauty!

We used a hostess set from the Occasions Mini Catalog called Just Because.
It's a nice set one that has grabbed my attention!

On our cards we used the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder and the Stitched Rectangle Framelits.
Do you see those vellum leaves?
They are beautiful but I am not sure what set of Framelits they came from since she already had them diecut for us. If I find out I will post it in the Card Details.
We used the Stampin Blends to color the image which was super easy & quick!
Lastly, we added some Frosted Enamel Dots to our image and a Linen Thread Bow!
Loved this card....ALOT!

Card Details:

Stamps: Just Because (hostess Occasions Catalog)
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Floral Romance Specialty Paper
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Pinewood Planks EF, Frosted Enamel Dots, Linen Thread, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Mono Adhesive

Thank You, Nan, for such a pretty card!
You rocked it!
