Ornate Garden Fun Fold

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your enjoying your weekend!
It's a rainy start to our day here in PA but the sun is to come out later.
I am headed to my stamp table to work on a card order that I got yesterday from my card lady.

I have 2 cards to share again today that I whipped up with the Ornate Garden Suite.
I just love the DSP !

These are a fun Z Fold style that I love making!

Cardbase is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
Score on the 8 1/2 side at 1 1/4 and again at 4 1/4
The 1 1/4 score you want to fold that forward.
Then decorate as you like!

Card Details:

Stamps: Accented Blooms
Ink: Mint Macaron
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Ornate Garden Specialty DSP
Accessories: Ornate Floral EF, Tailored Tag Punch, Mint Macaron 1/4 Ribbon, Gilded Gems, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love this suite of products and let me say that the dies that come with it are amazing!
I haven't touched them yet but hope to play with them later!

Ornate Garden Cards

Good Morning & Happy Friday!

Yesterday I sat and played with a new suite of products that Stampin Up released early called Ornate Garden. It's a beautiful suite of stamps, dies & paper! Oh and an embossing folder!

The DSP is very pretty with lots of floral prints!
This card uses the Daisy Punch.

Card Details:

Stamps: Ornate Thanks, Daisy Delight
Ink: Early Espresso, Mint Macaron
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Mint Macaron, Ornate Garden Specialty DSP
Accessories: Daisy Punch, 1/2 Circle Punch, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Both cards are addressed and headed out in the mail today...destination unknown!
I have been trying to make cards to send out to let people know they in my thoughts during this strange time we are all going thru.
Last evening I popped out for my weekly groceries.
The wearing of the masks is just odd to me but one I feel is necessary!
And the grocery store line to check out was wrapped around the store.
Everyone followed the rules but there was such a cold feeling about people.
No warmth, no smiles...nothing.
I hope things soon clear out so life can get back to some sort of normal...

Springtime Butterfly

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Sorry for the late update this morning!
The last few days are kinda a blur as Shawn's phone rang morning noon & night so it was sleepless and needless to say we were pretty grumpy!
I went to bed last evening at 8pm and slept until 10 this morning.
I was just beat!!

I do have a card to share today that I made to send out to a friend.
I definitely cased it from a card I saw online.
I loved how simple it was!

Nothing is popped up so it makes for easy mailing but don't you love how the butterfly wings are still free to move?! The body of the butterfly is glued down and the wings are left to move.
Such a fun card to make and that butterfly is so pretty!

Card Details:

Stamps: Peaceful Moments
Ink: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Lilypad DSP (SAB 20)
Accessories: Springtime Impressions Framelits, Glittered Enamel Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Masking Technique

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I've got another card that I did on Saturday when Debbie had a card class.
This card we did the masking technique on.

She had us trim down a post it note and lay it on our cardstock.
We stamped our images and then pulled up the post it note and it revealed the white space.
That is where we stamped out sentiment.
She used a big bold sentiment on her sample.

Card Details:

Stamps: Positive Thoughts, Part of My Story (SAB 19)
Ink: Seaside Spray, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point
Cardstock: Seaside Spray, Pacific Point, Whisper White
Accessories: Post It Note, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I gotta start a list of these techniques so I can use them for Stamp Day w Friends!
This one is fun & really easy!

Another Debbie Card Class

Hello & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a nice Easter!
My hubby was at work most of the day so I did all the cooking.
He got in as I pulled the ham from the oven!
It was really odd not having Kelsey, Corey & Mr Shady here.
I hope we do not have any more holidays that we have to keep apart because that was just odd to me.
I did have a couple Easter treats for the kids and dropped them off last evening.
Again it was odd not to give any hugs.

So, my mojo has been on vacation without me the last several weeks.
I find my way to my stamp table and nothing!
Debbie Henderson has been doing stamp classes so I have been trying to participate.
They are much fun and i'm learning things I did not know!

This card is from this past Saturday where she taught us how to do Retiform.
I've never heard of it!
This is the card she taught us...

I may have to try this with my stamp girls once we are allow to be together again!
Very easy and one I have never done before!
All you need is a sponge or a sponge dauber and a scrap of paper or post it note.

Card Details:

Stamps: Best Catch
Ink: Soft Suede
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Poppy Parade, Whisper White
Accessories: 2 1/4 Circle Punch, Sponge/Sponge Dauber, Red Rhinestones, Wink Of Stella, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Flat for easy mailing and I love the colors!
She gives us the recipes for the things we need before she holds a class.
She loves that many people are stamping along with her!
I will tell you that she is a fast stamper and I am usually always behind! LOL
But, I am loving that she is doing this for so many of us to keep us motivated & stamping!
Kudo's to her!

With Sympathy

Hello & Happy Friday!

Since today is Good Friday most people are off for the holiday.
Shawn had to go into work this morning while he has contractors there doing work.
He will take Monday off for his Good Friday holiday instead.

What a difference a day makes with our weather!
Yesterday morning it was sunny & warm until lunchtime when a cold front came thru with thunderstorms & gusty winds. Winter came back! Burrrr!
It's still pretty windy out but atleast the sun is shining!

Today I have a set of Sympathy cards to share.
I get lots of orders for them from my card lady so I decided to work ahead while I had some free time on my hands. Since I have been using my pack of English Garden DSP recently for other projects, it was already out on my table and I decided to use it for this card set...

I loved the patterns in this retired pack of paper and this flower print was my last whole sheet that was left. I really like the watercolored look of those blue flowers!
My sentiment comes from the Flourishing Phrases set that I stamped on a Stitched Shape diecut and added a rhinestone. Lastly I added some Braided Trim to each card. Very nice ribbon but it can be a bit bulky.

Card Details:

Stamps: Flourishing Phrases
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Night of Navy, Whisper White, English Garden DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Braided Trim Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Another pack all ready to go!

Dog Sympathy

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I'm feeling a bit under the weather today.
No, I don't have the "corona".
I have been having a tough time sleeping the last few nights and today woke up with a headache and an upset stomach. Just feeling a little bit off and hopefully it doesn't last long!

Today I want to share a card that I made for my card rack.
It uses an image from my Image Box.

The dog image is from a retired Stampin Up! set called D is for Dog.
My dear friend Deb has this set and left me borrow it to stamp some images off and i'm trying hard to get them used up!
The sentiment is from DRS Designs which I picked up at a Stamp Show.

Card Details:

Stamps: D is for Dog (retired), DRS Designs
Ink: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Cajun Craze, Whisper White, American Crafts Paper
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Cajun Craze Twine, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Isn't it a pretty card but for such a sad occasion.
I hope that will give the recipient some comfort.

Another Facebook Live Class

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday was such a lovely day with lots of sunshine!
It added a spring to my step!
Today so far the sun is shining but I think it's to be short lived with storms this afternoon/evening.
For now, I will enjoy the sunshine coming thru the windows!

So, my project that I am sharing today is from another class I took on Facebook called "Stamp With Me" by Debbie Henderson. She has been racking her brain to come up with idea's to get people to stamp with her to pass the time away while everyone is under the stay at home orders.
The day before her class she posted what all was needed and measurements.
She did not share the project until most of it was completed.
This time we needed lots of punched out daisies which we knew was not for a card or scrapbook page but then she revealed to us that it was for a picture frame!!

I took 1 picture of mine once it was completed.

Luckily I had this frame in my closet and I had no idea what to do with it until she revealed hers.
I'm happy to have found a purpose for it now!
Isn't it pretty?

Project Details:

Stamps: To A Wild Rose
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Seaside Spray, Gold Foil Paper, Whisper White
Accessories: Bold Butterfly Framelits (retired), Butterfly Thinlits (retired), Wild Rose Dies, Oval Layering Framelits, Daisy Punches (Large & Medium), Gold Satin Ribbon, Gold Faceted Gems, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

She is doing so much good in keeping us calm, sane and most of all helping us use what we all have in our stash! This is the 2nd class of hers that I did out of 7 and I am finding it to be so much fun and also keeps me motivated to craft!

Thank you, Debbie for bringing sunshine into our lives every single day!

Aren't those daffodils beautiful?!
They certainly make me smile!

Cow's It Going?

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
How are you all making out with being in quarantine?
I won't lie....some days it's tough especially on days that are dreary & rainy.

So, I have been trying to stamp and send more cards out.
I made these last week and sent them out to my 2 ex neighbors and stamp girls...

I used a color that I have not used very much, Pineapple Punch.
It's an In Color for 2018-2020 and will be retiring soon.
It's pretty bright!

Card Details:

Stamps: Over the Moon
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Pineapple Punch, Whisper White, Botanical Butterfly DSP (retired) SAB 19
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon, Pineapple Punch Enamel Dots, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I think my friends will get a good laugh from these!
I just wanted them to know I was thinking of them and really miss our stamp get togethers!

High Tide

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your weekend is going well!
Yesterday I finished up the painting!!
Shawn was able to pull my fridge out so I could clean behind it and paint.
That was the last thing on my list to get done!
Today it's gonna be laundry & stamping!

I have a card to share today made with the High Tide stamp set.
This one is already in the mail headed to it's destination!

Card Details:

Stamps: High Tide
Ink: Real Red, Pool Party, Basic Gray, Sahara Sand, Garden Green, So Saffron
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I loved pulling this set back out and inking it up again!
I need to make more cards like this!

Debbie's Punch Art Class

Good Morning & Happy Saturday!!!

Nothing much happening here today at the Aungst Pad.
It seems like another day of doom & gloom as it's cloudy out.
We've had lots of dreary days as of late and being cooped inside is going to make people stir crazy pretty soon!

Yesterday I had such a hard time getting motivated to stamp.
I had a few cards in mind that I wanted to make but it did not happen.
My creativity seemed to take a vacation without me.
So, I surfed Facebook and found a FB Live from Debbie Henderson.
She's been holding classes to distract people from what we are all going thru.
I watched her video and after supper I headed back to my stamp table and played along with her Punch Art Class. It was so much fun and really got me motivated too!

Here is what we made...

It is an owl box with matching 3 x 3 card.
So many participants used different colors and different punches, it was just so cool too see the different ones.
Kelsey has a birthday next month so I will use this for her!

Project Details:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Birthday Bonanza DSP
Accessories: 1/2" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 1 1/8 Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8 Scallop Circle Punch, Oval Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Mine Dimensionals, Two Sided Tape, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I will add some birthday sentiments to this as it gets closer.
And hopefully the social distancing thing will be over by the time her birthday rolls around!!

I had a great time following along with Debbie's video to create my own gift set!
Thank you, Debbie! It was much needed & appreciated!!!

With Deepest Sympathy

Hello & Happy Friday!

Hope your week has gone well and your staying busy during the stay at home orders.
It was a busy week here and i'm looking forward to having a few days to catch my breath and do some stamping!

The card I have to share today was made with the Positive Thoughts stamp set.
It has become a quick favorite!

Card Details:

Stamps: Positive Thoughts, Peaceful Moments
Ink: Granny Apple Green, Rococo Rose, Memento Black
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Rococo Rose DSP
Accessories: Nature's Thoughts Dies (SaleABration Coordinates), Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I made this one for my stash that I keep separately from my card rack cards.
This one literally took 10 minutes to create.
