Blossoming Basket HB

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today is to be another beautiful sunny day and then things go downhill tomorrow.
Rain is to arrive overnight which is much better than snow!
Yesterday I did my 12th light therapy session.
I am halfway thru my treatments and seeing some changes!
I've not had anymore spots pop out and the ones I still have are getting lighter in color.
This is by no means a cure for psoriasis but it is helping to get things under control atleast for me.
I am anxious to see what my next 12 sessions will bring!
#keepinthefaith

Today I have a pretty card to share!
I loved the Stained Glass technique and had to give it another go.

Sorry about the lighting on these pictures.
I had one of my overhead lights go out recently and I need to get another one next time I get out.
Plus I am situated in the basement where there is little to no natural light.

This card uses embossing on vellum and then coloring the backside of the vellum.
This is a fun technique and I love how soft it looks.

This stamp set is a SaleABration set from 2018 and I just now mounted it and inked it up!

Card Details:

Stamps: Blossoming Basket (SAB 18), Perennial Birthday
Ink: Highland Heather, Versamark, Stampin Blends (Highland Heather, Soft Suede & Old Olive)
Cardstock: Highland Heather, Whisper White, Vellum, Highland Heather DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Rhinestones, White Organdy Ribbon (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This technique is very easy to do but I was intimidated in trying it for so long.
Such a cool outcome, don't you think?!

I am off to my light therapy treatment in a few minutes but wanted to do a quick update before I leave.
I had a chance this morning to work on some cards for an order.

This is a SaleABration set and a lovely one at that!
It is also a distinktive set which you know I love!

Grocery List Notepad

Hello & Happy Friday!

The weekend has finally arrived!
Yesterday was such a nice day that I was planning on doing some stamp work at my table but I just could not make myself go downstairs! The sunshine was much welcomed!

Today I have one more decorated notepad to share with you!
I made this over a month ago when i was on a roll of making up a few notepads I had in my stash.
I love these!

The cardstock, DSP and stamp set just make me smile!
Aren't they happy colors all together?!
For this notepad I used some scraps of Happiness Blooms DSP and added a small piece to the barrel of the RSVP Pen.

Project Details:

Stamps: Papertreyink
Ink: Call Me Clover
Cardstock: Call Me Clover, Whisper White, Happiness Blooms DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots, Call Me Clover Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimesionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hopefully soon I can get it together and go stamp!
I have been preoccupied too with rearranging my stamp cabinets, and the shelf I have all my stamps on. It's time for a good clean out!

Happy Easter

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your having a great week so far!

I have not received any orders yet for Easter cards but i'm sure I will soon as Easter is in a few weeks. I looked thru my Easter box of stamps and got to work on making this set.
This set uses a current set called You're Inspiring.

Coloring those beautiful daffodils was a bit tricky for me as my hands don't handle coloring anymore but I am happy with the outcome of them!
My Whisper White layer was run thru the Big Shot with the Subtle Embossing Folder.
I just love the textured look that embossing folder gives!
The daffodil panel were diecut using the Stitched Rectangle Framelits and layered over top of an Old Olive doily which I cut in half.
The sentiment was diecut with the Oval Layering Framelits and popped up with Mini Dimensionals. Lastly, I added a few rhinestones for sparkle!

Card Details:

Stamps: You're Inspiring
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Gingham Gala DSP
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Colored Doilies, Rhinestones, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I enjoyed making these!
Daffodils always make me smile!

Bridal Shower Invite Part 2

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

After a busy day of doing housework yesterday, I ran off to my stamp table to redo the card I made for my customer. I am much happier with this one....

I redid the whole card removing the little blue flowers and stamping off for my leaves.
I did my sentiment in Soft Suede to go with the natural look of the invite.
Here is the invite again..

Card Details:

Stamps: Painted Season's, Whimsical Words (retired)
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Accessories: Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope I did better this time!
What do you think?

Bridal Shower Invite

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

I had a request from my customer to make a bridal shower card and she asked if I could make it close to what the invite looked like.
Here is the invite and I do want to tell you that I cut the bottom half off because it contained all the personal information.

And this is what I took from it.

I'm not sure on the little blue flowers.
On invite some of those leaves are in a darker almost blue color so that was why I added the little blue flowers. I'm not sure I will let it this way and may give this another try today.
Shawn said it looked fine.

Card Details:

Stamps: Painted Season's (leaves), Beautiful Bouquet (flower & saying)
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Night of Navy
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Accessories: Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon, Small Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

What do you think?
Maybe I should just redo the leaves and let the little blue flowers off?
If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to let me a comment!

They always have awesome sketches to help get me out of a rut.
Here is this week's sketch and my card....

I flipped the sketch so I could this saying...

Next Sunday is St Patrick's Day and I needed a bit of a push to get some cards made!
They need to go out in the mail in the next few days!

Wonderful Romance HB

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your week is going well!

On Tuesday I had my 8th light treatment and I finally graduated to 2 minutes in the lightbox.
Slowly getting there and I have not had any redness or sunburn from it.
Yes, my psoriasis spots are still there but they are lighter in color.
I have one on my thigh that itches like crazy. I hope soon those UVB rays zap it!

Today I have a set of cards to share that were for my customer.
I used a new bundle from the Occasions Catalog called Wonderful Romance.
It is a beautiful suite of products!

Cheery Chat Birthday

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

The sun is shining beautifully this morning but it is downright freezing outside!
I can tell it's really cold just by looking out the window over the frozen snow.

Today I have another set of cards to share that I made as part of my customer order.
The request was for masculine birthday but nothing using any animals.
So I pulled out my pack of Best Route DSP and got to work.

First thing I did was cut my cardstock layers then added my Best Route DSP.
I know I use this design alot but it's a quick way for me to use up my ever growing DSP stash!
Once I had my layers cut I added a piece of Gray Granite Textured Ribbon and taped it to my backside of the cardstock. I have a whole roll of this ribbon and want to use it up.

Next I pulled out an old stamp called Cheery Chat.
Anyone remember this set?
I stamped my Happy Birthday on the next to the largest Stitched Shapes Square then layered it with a Scalloped Square from the Square Layering Framelits. I then took some coordinating Mango Melody cardstock and cut a Stitched Square from the Largest Stitched Shapes Framelits to add a pop of color.
Lastly I glued it all down and added a shape from the Best Route Enamel Shapes to finish these.
I think it ties it all together!

Card Details:

Stamps: Cheery Chat (retired)
Ink: Blueberry Bushel
Cardstock: Blueberry Bushel, Gray Granite, Mango Melody, Whisper White, Best Route DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Best Route Enamel Shapes, Gray Granite Textured Ribbon, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I think these turned out pretty awesome and hope my customer likes them!

Springtime Happy Birthday!

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I have a pretty springtime set of cards to share with you!
This is for a customer order and she specifically asked for those beautiful roses from the Healing Hugs stamp set.

My roses are stamped in Calypso Coral & Daffodil Delight.
Don't they look almost real?
This is one of those Distinktive stamp sets that give a realistic look.
My Daffodil Delight panel was run thru the Big shot with the Subtle Embossing Folder.
I love the textured look it gives!
The sentiment comes from the Southern Serenade set.

Card Details:

Stamps: Healing Hugs, Southern Serenade (sentiment)
Ink: Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Accessories: Subtle EF, Circle Layering Framelits, Small White Pearls, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I know it's technically still winter but I think if I keep making these pretty springtime cards that maybe springtime will come sooner!
Tomorrow we are not suppose to get out of the teens!
That's pretty darn cold!

Bubbles Over Notepad

Good Morning & Happy Sunday!

Hope your having a nice relaxing weekend!
We have a snowstorm on our doorstep set to arrive this afternoon and then our temps are to get really cold. I'm not sure if my hubby will be working from home tomorrow or not. Guess it depends on how much snow we get.
I will be heading down to my stamp table this morning to work on more cards for a card order. I'd be happy to wrap it up today but depends on what I get accomplished. I love snowy days to stamp!

Today I have another tall, skinny notepad to share.
I have been digging thru packs of DSP to find anything food/drink related for these notepads.
I found a pack of Bubbles & Fizz DSP from last year that worked well for this one.

I really liked these bright colors for this pack of paper too!
Lemon Lime Twist has become a favorite In Color but sadly will be retiring in May.

Project Details:

Stamps: Papertreyink
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Bubbles & Fizz DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Bermuda Bay Enamel Dots (retired), Lemon Lime Twist Striped Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love using these notepads to write my grocery list on!
If I don't write down what I need I totally forget!

I'm ready for spring!

Thinking of You

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

We had more snow here this morning!
Shawn got up early and went out to snow blow the driveway so we could get the girls to their grooming appointment at 8am!
Today is also Gigi's 6th Happy Adoption Day with us!
We aren't sure of her age since she was found as a stray but she sure is a spunky girl and always lovable! And may I add that she looks fabulous after doggy day spa this morning!

Today I have a set of cards to share that I made for my customer.
These are a semi case of a card made by Chris Slogar.

This color combo is Petal Pink & Soft Seafoam and it sure is soft & pretty!
It's becoming one of my favorites!
I masked off my rose to add the leaves then added my sentiment.
It comes from the Colorful Seasons set!
I also used the next to the largest size Stitched Rectangle Framelit for my image panel.
Those Framelits cut so nicely!
Lastly I added 2 small rhinestones for a pop of bling!
We all need some bling in our lives, right?

Card Details:

Stamps: Healing Hugs, Colorful Seasons
Ink: Petal Pink, Soft Seafoam, Memento Black
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Whisper White, Petal Pink DSP
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The Healing Hugs set which the rose comes from is a Distinktive set.
That meant I had to use an ink pad that was not super inky or my rose would have been blotchy.
These came out better than I had expected and i'm quite happy with them!
