Seasonal Sprays Meets Quiet Meadow

 Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Halfway thru the week already!

Wanted to give an update on Miss Bailee before I get to today's project.
Vet called and said she has no worms which is what I was thinking with her symptoms. She's had worms back in 2014 so we've been down that road before. They are not sure what has caused her GI issues in the last week but the meds and her bland diet is helping. We have not started the change over back to her normal food and will continue with her bland food diet a few more days.

My card that I am sharing today I made recently for a friend who recently lost her partner of many years. I haven't seen or spoken to her in quite a while but wanted to send a card to let her know we are thinking of her. I pulled out a couple of supplies and got started...

This is the wood mounted stamp set I started my card with.
Do you remember the Seasonal Sprays set?

I thoroughly enjoyed creating this card and used the Seasonal Sprays stamp set from 2000 and the Quiet Meadow bundle.  I started with the Daffodil Delight cardbase then a layer of Basic White that I embossed with the Pretty Flowers EF which just retired at the end of April. Next I took some Daffodil Delight DSP strips and layered them on top of my embossed panel. I'm not sure on the measurements as they were just scraps that I cut to fit. Next I stamped my pretty flower image from the wood mounted Seasonal Sprays set with Memento Black and colored my image with Stampin Blends. I diecut that out with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits that also just retired. I layered that piece with some Old Olive cardstock and adhered to my card. I took a scrap piece of Daffodil Delight and stamped my sentiment on in Old Olive ink and diecut it out from the Quiet Meadow stamp set & Meadow Dies. I added an Old Olive bow with a Glue Dot and lastly added some Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Card Details:

Stamps: Seasonal Sprays (retired), Quiet Meadow
Ink: Old Olive, Memento Black, Stampin Blends-Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Basic White, Daffodil Delight DSP (retired)
Accessories: Meadow Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Pretty Flowers EF (retired), Old Olive Ribbon (retired), Brushed Brass Butterflies, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I loved how this card turned out and hope that it comforted my friend during this difficult time.

Everything Is Rosy Retirement

 Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

I hope you had a nice holiday weekend! It sure was a busy one here!
We got lots done and ready for the summer so that is a plus!
Today we are waiting to here on Bailee's test results. Sunday & Monday she had super good days and no issues. We are able to start weaning her back on her regular dog food today. We use to feed her homemade food but after we lost Gigi Bailee no longer would eat it. We aren't sure if maybe it was a sign of depression from Gigi no longer being here or what. She went back to eating her little Cesar Dog foods and that is what she has been on since. I will post when we get the test results!

I did not get to my stamp table at all this weekend but really hope to today!
I have a card to share with you that I made about 2 weeks ago. I pulled out some retired stamps & paper and got to work.

Do you remember this DSP?
I have almost a full package of this and want to start using it up. I started with creating a retirement card for on my card rack. That occasion seems to be a big and my pockets on the card rack were getting low. This paper is from the Everything Is Rosy Medley that was out in 2019. Such pretty papers and an awesome stamp & die set, too! This pack of DSP also had some floral punch outs included and that is what I used on this card. Rose Gold was the Foil Paper that also was with this medley. My sentiment comes from the retired Wild About Flowers stamp set.

Card Details:

Stamps: Wild About Flowers (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Melon Mambo, Everything Is Rosy DSP (retired)
Accessories: Everything Is Rosy Enamel Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Always feels good to use the stuff from our stash!

Hello, Friend

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

I hope your enjoying a long weekend!
Today I am a bit late updating and I will get to more of why at the end.
I have a cute card to share made using some products from the Cheerful Daisies Suite in the new catalog. I need a few friend cards so this was an easy start to making one card atleast!

I have a friend that is going in the hospital for an extensive surgery in a few weeks and I want to get some cards made to send her as encouragement & support.
I started with a Garden Green cardbase then a layer of Bubble Bath cardstock. Bubble Bath is a new color and this is the first time I have used it. Next up is a layer of Basic White cardstock that I ran thru the Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine with a new embossing folder called Exposed Brick 3D which reminds me of some older ones we've had. Next I cut a piece of the Fresh As A Daisy DSP. There is a sheet of paper that you can cut up and use instantly on cards. Each section has a different set of flowers or backgrounds that can be used. I then layered this daisy print onto a piece of Garden Green cardstock and adhered it to my card. I diecut my sentiment using a Cheerful Daisy Die. The sentiment comes from the Hope You Know stamp set on page 22. I finished up with a Garden Green bow and 3 little Rhinestones. This is ready for the mail come Tuesday morning!

Card Details:

Stamps: Hope You Know
Ink: Garden Green
Cardstock: Garden Green, Bubble Bath, Basic White, Fresh As A Daisy DSP
Accessories: Cheerful Daisy Dies, Exposed Brisk 3D EF, Rhinestones, Garden Green Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My little Bailee Boo has not been doing well the last few days.
She had the poopies since Wednesday then Saturday morning she started throwing up.
Shawn took her to the Vet yesterday morning. They gave her a shot in her butt for the vomiting then a gel in her mouth that is to stop the poopies. She still has a good appetite and drinking lots of water but I could tell after being up in the yard all night Friday something was wrong. She had no fever and everything checked out well with the Vet. She has a medicine to take now to help settle her belly once a day and also on a bland diet until her poop sample results come back on Tuesday. Thankfully last night she was able to sleep all night and we've had no more issues. You would never know anything was wrong the last few days because she still plays, chews on her antler and runs after the birds in the back yard. Once the test results come back I will let you know.
Mr Shady has not been sick so we don't think it's anything contagious.

Teapot Bridal Shower

 Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY!

My dear sweet hubby has a 4 day weekend (YAY!).
We are going to have a busy day with finally getting the back porch painted and then digging thru all of Kelsey's stuff in the storage room to get out my front porch rocking chairs. They have been packed away since last Fall and before all of her stuff made their way to my basement. I am so excited to finally get both porches done for the summer! Last evening we were out and I picked up some flowers for my City Slicker boxes that sit on my back porch and also got a hanging basket of geraniums. Not sure I will get them planted today but most certainly tomorrow!

Today I have a pretty card to share that I made for my card lady. She requested a Bridal Shower card with pink teapots on. I did see the invite so I went from there. That request took me by surprise but I guess anything goes these days! I kept this one simple but let me warn you....you will need to wear your sunglasses to view it!

Lots of Polished Pink on this card with some Call Me Clover in the mix!
I pulled out the retired Tea Together bundle from a few years back and tried my hand at coloring these with Stamp Blends. I loved the end result and hope Audrey will too!

Card Details:

Stamps: Tea Together (retired), Custom Tee (retired sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Polished Pink (retired), Stampin Blends-Polished Pink & Call Me Clover (retired)
Cardstock: Polished Pink, Basic White
Accessories: Tea Time Framelits (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Polished Pink In Color Enamel Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

That is all for me today!

Happy Anniversary

 Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

It's been crazy busy around the Aungst Pad the last few days!
I feel like I turned my whole house upside down and did a deep cleaning. Kelsey is suppose to keep my downstairs cleaned but I don't think she knows what a good deep cleaning is!! So, out of frustration I went and tore the family room & my stamp room apart and cleaned every nook & cranny. Yesterday, I felt it! My back is giving me grief but it needed to be done.

Today I have a anniversary card to share using the Country Bouquet stamp set & matching punch. I used it alot back around Valentines Day but since it has carried over into the new SU Annual Catalog I decided to pull it out and make some more cards for on the card rack.

Card Details:

Stamps: Country Bouquet, Love For You
Ink: Petal Pink, Soft Succulent (retired)
Cardstock: Soft Succulent (retired), Petal Pink, Basic White, Country Floral DSP (retired)
Accessories: Curvy Dies (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Country Bouquet Punch, Petal Pink/Champagne Ribbon (retired), Champagne Rhinestones (retired) Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love the colors of this one! It was fun to pull out some retired items and create with them. It's hard to see but the floral piece of DSP was diecut with one of the Curvy Dies that retired maybe a year or two ago. I never got much use from them so I hope to start using some of these things!

Wildflower Baby Shower

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I hope your week is off to a great start!
Our weather here in PA has been super nice! Love having the windows open and lots of sunshine! Today I have another baby shower card to share with you. This one is also for Audrey's grandson and his wife that are due to have a baby in August. When I was in to see Audrey last time she showed me the baby shower invite which was lots of wildflowers but nothing like the card I made last week. I told her I would redo that card for her since I had some papers that have wildflowers on. Dainty Flowers DSP to the rescue!

I love everything about this card! I hope she likes it too!
She loves that baby with the umbrella and specifically asked for it. Moon Baby was a great baby set and i'm so glad I have it.

Card Details:

Stamps: Moon Baby (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends-Pink Pirouette (retired), Ivory
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Basic White, Dainty Flowers (SAB 23)
Accessories: Scalloped Contour Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Noble Peacock Rhinestones (retired), Blushing Bride Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The baby shower is the 1st weekend in June so hopefully I can get this in to her soon!

Awash In Beauty

 Hello & Happy Monday, Everyone!

Yesterday I took a break from blogging. It just wasn't in the cards to get a post done. Saturday, Shawn went on a charter boat out of Lewes, Delaware with a bunch guys from around the area. They went out at 4pm and the boat returned at 12 midnight to catch blackdrum fish in the Delaware Bay. Only 2 guys were fortunate to catch them and the rest left empty handed. I'm not sure Shawn fished all that much because he got sea sick. He even prepared for it with Dramamine. He still isn't sure why he got sick but I don't think he will be going out on a fishing boat for awhile. He said he still enjoyed it! So, it was 4 am Sunday morning until he got in, showered and crawled into bed. I was up half the night and couldn't sleep until he got in. Yesterday the day just dragged for us. He was up by 10 since he said "I have stuff to do". He tilled his garden, mowed the grass and put a big shelf together for his Star Wars collection and we were in bed by 8:30! I got the bedrooms cleaned while he was out mowing then sat on my glider the rest of the day. It was such a beautiful breezy day and it was just so peaceful sitting outside.

So, here I am today with a set of cards for Audrey.
Her last card order I decorated a small gift bag with some Awash In Beauty DSP that just retired. I bought the suite of products just a few months ago and never really used it much. She loved the bag and asked for a pack of cards made with the same paper but without a saying so she can use them for whatever occasion arises. This is what I made for her...

While I think this paper is gorgeous I found it difficult to use.
The prints and designs are so pretty that I just cannot cover it up.
It is a stand alone print that needs nothing but maybe a sentiment but she did not want one. This is most likely the easiest pack of cards to make for her! I only added 2 of the Brushed Brass Butterflies to each card. Those butterflies make such a nice addition to the paper and they are flat!!

Card Details:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Balmy Blue, Awash In Beauty DSP (retired)
Accessories: Brushed Brass Butterflies, Stampin Seal +

The True Beauty stamp set that is in this suite of products is also very nice and full of beautiful floral images. I just found it a little tough to use the stamps with the paper. I have so many stamped images in a cello bag from this set that I will need to use up eventually. Maybe with some different papers! LOL I have some cleaning to finish up today so maybe this afternoon I can play with it a bit more. Shawn is working half a day today then going in for a tattoo. I think he said this will be the last one for awhile. He's getting the Statue of Liberty on his lower right arm. Rather him than me! Owwie!

Congrats!

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

I hope your having a nice weekend!
Today is Kelsey's 30th birthday! No celebrations happening here though. She went out to dinner with some friends from work to the Cheesecake Factory in Towson, Maryland this evening. And Shawn is off on a fishing trip to Delaware. Ryan & I fended for ourselves with frozen pizza and a quiet house! LOL I spent most of the day at my stamp table finishing up Audrey's order and working on a few cards for my card rack. I made some Retirement cards for men & women. My card that I am sharing today is one of those cards which was so fun to make!

I dug out so many stamp sets that they were all over my tables!
I wanted to look back at what I have and use the most perfect sentiments I could find.

Card Details:

Stamps: Wild About Flowers (retired), Many Mates (retired)
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight, Basic White
Accessories: Dots & Spots Die, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Tailor Made Tags Dies, Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon (retired), White Twine, Elegant Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was pleased with how this one turned out!
This was the first time I used the Dots & Spots Die and wasn't sure what to expect but wowza's! I love it!
Wild About Flowers stamp set is a retired photopolymer set but it's always my go to for Retirement cards because of the sayings in the set.
And for some reason I paired Mossy Meadow with Daffodil Delight and loved the look of them. So much fun!

Reflected In Nature Retirement

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

Today I have a card to share that I made for on my card rack.
I am in need of retirement cards so I pulled this set out and got to work.

The inside says Enjoy Your Retirement!!

Card Details:

Stamps: Reflected In Nature (retired)
Ink: Misty Moonlight
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Smoky Slate, Basic White
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Timber 3D EF, Misty Moonlight Enamel Dots (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This is one stamp set that I wish Stampin Up! would have left stick around longer. I feel like sometimes we don't get our moneys worth out of them before they retire but this is one set I will continue to use & keep in my collection.

Sweet Baby Shower Card

 Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday we went out and had our supper in remembrance of my Dad.
He loved the Great American Saloon & Lion's Pride restaurants here in Red Lion and he loved the Chesapeake Trio which is a seafood dish. I usually don't get a big meal when we go there to eat but on that date every year I order that for him. It did not disappoint either!

So, today I am sharing the cutest baby shower card that I made for on the card rack. I have 1 card left in that slot so I know it's high time I concentrate on making some. This card uses mostly all retired items which was so fun to pull out and ink up again!

Card Details:

Stamps: Moon Baby (retired), Weather Or Not (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Pear Pizzazz (retired), Daffodil Delight, Stampin Blends-Ivory, Old Olive (light), Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz (retired), Basic White
Accessories: Radiating Stitches Dies, Daffodil Delight & Pear Pizzazz Enamel Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

You all know I love to mix the old with new but I think most of this card uses retired stuff.
What started this card was when I pulled out the wood mounted Weather Or Not stamp set and started playing around with it. I stamped a row of umbrella's in Daffodil and cleaned it off.....then a row of Pear Pizzazz until I had the white panel covered. The Radiating Stitches Dies are worth their weight in gold in my opinion! They are just wonderful!

I'm sure in the future you will be seeing this layout used on another baby card!
And this one was so much fun to create!

************************************
My thoughts today...

Isn't that the truth!
The last 2 days my hip and lower back has been really bothering me. I'm thinking it's from the cooler weather but yesterday I felt a burning sensation and a twinge in my back that made me tear up. Not sure what that was all about. Quite a few of my friends have said they have been aching, too! Not fun growing old!

Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a great day!

Teacher Retirement & Honoring Dad

 Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

I hope that your having a great week so far!
I stamped 2 cards yesterday that I will share once I get the pictures snapped.
I went downstairs to play and pulled out old wood mounted sets that I enjoyed inking up again! Today I have a card to share though that I made recently for Audrey. She wanted a card for a teacher that was retiring after 40 years of teaching.

Card Details:

Stamps: Harvest Hello, Charming Sentiments (Million Dollar Achiever Set)
Ink: Real Red, Granny Apple Green, Pecan Pie, Basic Black Archival (retired), Craft Whisper White
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic White, Basic Black, Granny Apple Green, Pecan Pie, Dream A Daydream DSP (retired Hostess)
Accessories: Apple Builder Punch (retired), Seasonal Layers Dies (retired), Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Sponge, Red Rhinestones (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I had a variety of things all over my stamp table when making this card. It was to the point that my ink pads got lost in the shuffle! LOL My card turned out pretty nice so it was all good and just another happy day in my stamp room!

Tonight we are heading out for supper in honor of my Dad. Today is 3 years since he passed away and every year on this date we go to the American Saloon to celebrate him. That was one of his favorite places to eat and he liked getting the Chesapeake Trio. There isn't a day that goes by that he is not on my mind and missed very much!!
This is my way of honoring him and keeping his memory alive.

Showers Of Happiness

 Good Tuesday Morning, Everyone!

Today is to be a cloudy with a chance of showers kind of day so I will be headed to my stamp table a bit today. Yesterday it was such a nice day that I could not bring myself to stay in the basement all day so I did not go down to stamp. Shawn & I spent most of the evening sitting outback while Bailee & Shady ran around the yard.
Today I have a sweet baby shower card to share with you that Audrey requested on her last order. Her grandson and his wife are expecting a baby due in August. I pulled out the Rain or Shine Suite and made this cute card...

That adorable bunny makes for a cute baby shower card and Audrey just loved it!
The sentiment came from the retired Moon Baby stamp set which is my "go to" for all things baby.

Card Details:

Stamps: Playing In The Rain, Moon Baby (retired)
Ink: Pear Pizzazz
Cardstock: Basic White, Mango Melody (retired), Pear Pizzazz (retired), Rain Or Shine DSP (retired)
Accessories: Playing In The Rain Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The bunny was diecut directly from the Rain Or Shine DSP which makes life easier!
I love this entire suite of products!
