Color Challenge 434

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Yippee Skippee! I got to spend another day in my stamp room! Once I get started I hate to leave but I needed to go get supper started so this gave me a few minutes to get my blog updated.
I popped over to SCS this afternoon to see what the colors were for today's Color Challenge 434.
 I had to play along!

The colors are: Crumb Cake, Gumball Green & Cherry Cobbler
With the dessert option of having Christmas in July!

I decided to do Christmas because afterall, I do Christmas all year long! I pulled out some Snow Festival DSP which has my colors in and covered a plastic fruit tray that had grapes in. I save these and decorate them for the holidays then add some White Chocolate Snack Mix in a cello bag. This makes a nice little gift for friends, family and neighbors!

I used Cherry Cobbler Sweater Trim from last year and made my loopy bow and hot glued an Antique Brad on top. I also used a Snow Festival Tag and added my stamped Merry Christmas sentiment along with some small rhinestones on the snowflakes. I'm pleased with my altered project today and look forward to filling this with yummy treats for the holidays!

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Snow Festival DSP

A Day of Case'ing

Hello & Happy Friday! TGIF!!!

I spent all day down in my stamp room today after I did some straightening up around the house.
I chose to case some cards I have on my Pinterest boards. I needed something to get the mojo to flow again!!! Some cards I changed up a bit and if I know who's card I case'd I will give that person credit. Here we go!

It felt good to sit and stamp the day away! I still have Baby Shower cards to work on and i'm not sure when I will get back to my table. Tomorrow, we have a Going Away Party for a very close friend. He is moving to Bradenton, Florida for a job within the company he works for. We're very proud of him and wish him the best of luck! Sunday, I will probably spend the day with my hubby. He went back to his job in Baltimore, MD the week after we came back from vacation for numerous reasons. This week will be stressful for him with adding a new line so i'm sure he will just want to relax. We talked about going to the movies to the see the Despicable Me 2 movie. It's looks cute! Hopefully Monday I can find my way back to stamping! Till then, Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful weekend! Stay cool, too!

Happy 4th of July!

Hello & Happy 4th of July, friends!

Hope everyone had a fabulous day!
I have spent alot of time this past week down in my stamp room creating. I love when nothing is distracting me and I can let the idea's flow. With the 4th of July coming, I spent last Saturday making a centerpiece for the kitchen table along with some little treats. I'd rather alter any items I can get my hands on rather than make a card sometimes. So here is my little project....

My pinwheel centerpiece I used an 29 oz peach can, washed & dried. I wrapped paper the whole way around. The paper I believe is from Taylor Expressions a few years back. It was a gift from a friend. Anyways, I used the same paper to make my pinwheels. I have the large & small dies from Lil Inkers. Once I had my pinwheels made I put a silver brad in the center and hot glued them onto a wooden skewer. I put some foam in the bottom of my can and placed some spanish moss over top to hide the foam. I stuck my skewers in the foam to hold them into place. Then I took a piece of Twill Tape and made a loopy bow and hot glued that on to my can. I was quite impressed once it was done..my family loved it!

Then the Hershey treats I used the snack size Hershey Bars that I found at the Dollar Tree. I wrapped all 3 in Red, White or Blue DSP and used 2 sided tape to close the paper around each candy bar. I then glued the 3 together and added my sentiment and a mini clothes pin that I added an glitter star too with some hot glue. I attached them to the candy bars with a dimensional and called them done.

Hope you like!

Well, that is all for me today!
Soon time to head to bed as Shawn has to work tomorrow. I plan to head to my stamp table to work on some cards for my card rack! :)

Thanks for stopping by & I hope everyone had a very nice 4th of July holiday!
