Year in Review 2019

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

It's the last day of 2019!
What a year it has been around the Aungst Pad.
It started out with me doing 3 months of light therapy for my Psoriasis!
 Then Shawn losing his job....
It seemed like the first couple of months it rained every other day!
Summer came and my hubby got a new job which was stressful from day one but i'm happy to say that lots of changes are happening and things hopefully will be brighter in 2020!
The Fall season brings me to a time of being busy in the craft room working on projects for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
My hands held up pretty good this year, surprisingly!
My Gigi girl had a teeth cleaning in November and they removed 21 of her 42 teeth.
She has been a much different doggy since then and has had a remarkable recovery!
This year has also found Ryan feeling much better than last year when he was so sick.
And my little Bailee is just the most wonderful little entertaining doggy, ever!
All in all, it was a pretty good year!

As we ring in a New Year tonight, I am thankful for my friends & family and to all my blog friends who comment daily.
I wish you health, happiness and lots of love in 2020!

Here we go with my project choices for 2019!
Each year I go back thru my blog and pick out some of my favorites....

There are many who inspire me on a daily basis that I would just like to say Thank You!
I started out in 2001 with not having a single bone in my body that was creative and over time I have learned and watched many tutorials on how to do lots of different things!
I am still learning and love sharing what I learn!

That is all for me on this New Year's Eve!
I'm going to be taking a blogging break the next few days to take down all my Christmas decorations & pack up our ceramic Christmas trees!

I'll be back soon to share more crafty goodness in the new year!

Happy New Year to you all!

2020 Calendars

Good Morning from a soaked Pennsylvania!

Hope your weekend was a nice one!
Yesterday it poured buckets and did not get as warm as they said.
It was damp and chilly with the cold rain.
This morning it is still raining and foggy out. Looks like another blah day!

Last evening we watched our Baltimore Ravens win their 14th game of the season as they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers! It was a good game but I felt so bad for all those people that were out in the rain!
So proud & happy for my team! They have come a long way in the last year!

So, today I have the last 6 months of my 2020 calendars to share with you.
I should tell you that these calendars are the tear off type that I picked up at a local stamp store.
They are made by Taylored Expressions if anyone wants to look for them online.

Here we go...

These are really fun to make and it's a great way to use up DSP!

I won't list everything that I used to make these but if you have any questions please be sure to leave me a comment.

I hope I have inspired you to create your own calendars!
They are alot of work but seeing a new month in the frame just makes me smile!
I was even thinking of making a masculine one for my hubby.
They just renovated their offices and I thought it'd be nice for on his new desk!

I'll be back tomorrow with my Year in Review series that will wrap up another year!

2020 Calendars

Hello & Happy Sunday!

It's to be a rainy day here but on the warm side!
I'll take 61 degrees for Dec 29th!
I'm off this morning to get a quick haircut then grab a few things at the store.
Football is on later this afternoon so what better to do on a rainy day!

Last week I sat for a 2 day marathon to get my 2020 calendars made.
I whipped up 6 of them for orders.

Today I am showing you the first 6 months and tomorrow I will share the rest.

I'm not going to list everything I used to make these but if you have any questions about something please don't hesitate to let me a comment.
I display my calendar inside of a clear acrylic picture frame that measures 4 x 6.
It holds one month at a time.

That's all from me!
Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your day!

Christmas Gleaming Wreath

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your weekend is going well so far!
My girls are at doggy day this morning and I needed to get caught up on laundry.
While that is happening I ran to my stamp room to take some photo's of my Christmas wreath that I made for my Holiday Hoopla event. You may remember that I made one also for Halloween, too!

I started with a round styrofoam ring that I picked up at the Dollar Tree.
Other hobby stores carry them but they are anywhere from $5.99 up to $13.99.
Dollar Tree was $1.00! Can't beat that!
Then I followed a tutorial by Angie Juda ( Paper Wreath Tutorial ) that calls for 24 strips of DSP measuring 2 x 12.
She suggested 6 different designs and 4 pieces of each paper.
Once the DSP is wrapped around the foam ring I glued it tight with Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue and left it dry . Then punched the ends with the Triple Banner Punch.
I went completely around the ring covering with the paper until there was no more room. On the backside, I took my Pick A Tool and pierced a hole so I could hang it on a nail on the wall.
Then I finished it up with an ornament & the holly from the Christmas Gleaming set.
I added some copper embellishments and attached it with Dimensionals.
It hung on the wall super nice and the stamp girls were all admiring it!

Project Details:

Stamps: Christmas Gleaming
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Very Vanilla, Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP
Accessories: Styrofoam Wreath, Circle Layering Framelits, Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack, Copper Cord (retired), Copper Star Designer Elements, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This certainly is a terrific way to show off this beautiful paper and also a great way to use it up!
Making this type of wreath is actually really quick and nothing too hard about it!
I may make one for Valentine's Day this year!

My thoughts today...

Thankfully, we have no snow here to make a snowman!
Our weather has been pretty nice with temps in the 50's and lots of sunshine!
Yesterday we popped out and took a walk! Haven't done that in ages!
Hope your enjoying the warm weather too!

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
