All Settled in MO

Greeting from Missouri, fellow stampers & friends!!

We left PA back on Oct. 14th and arrived in Joplin, MO on October 15th. The ride here was fun but long! We stopped every so many hours to walk Fluffy and stretch our legs. We had great weather and seen some neat things on our trip here which I will share later. The first week here we roughed it. We slept on air mattresses & sat in camping chairs. Just this past Saturday the moving truck arrived with our furniture, food, clothes and all my precious stamp stuff! The movers had their truck unpacked by noon and then the fun began for us. Today, I finally got my stamp room finished. Now I have to remind you that we are renting a smaller house here in MO so I had to settle on putting my stamp room in the attached garage which isn't too bad. I got some carpet and put on the floor. Have to get a better light & a good heater for in there because today it was alittle chilly in there! I have pictures down below that I took today. All in all it's not too bad. Our move went pretty smooth and after a week & a half here I still get my moments where I miss HOME! Thank God for Facebook and the telephone is all I can say! :)

So, today I could not wait to go play in my new stamp room! I need a card for a friend for her birthday coming up so I used today's Sketch Challenge #304 from over at Splitcoaststampers. Below is the sketch layout and my card.

I got to use some new Marina Mist cardstock and that awesome Floral Fusion Die from Stampin Up! I know the lighting could be better. I haven't dug out my light box yet for pictures and today is a cloudy day here in Joplin. I really like this and hope you do too!

So below are the pictures of my stamp room. Ya just don't realize how much stuff you have untill you move half way across the country! LOL I'm happy my stuff is here and i'm happy to finally be able to create again! Yehawww!!

Sketch Challenge #304 Card:

Stamps: Sentiment from All Holidays
Ink: Marina Mist
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, PTI Select White, Pretty in Pink Prints DSP
Accessories: Oval & Oval Scallop Nestibillities, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Floral Fusion Die, Kaiser White Pearls, Pink 5/8 Grosgrain from AC Moore, SU Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Martha Stewart Fern Punch, Glue Dots, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for me now! Hubby will soon be home then we are heading out to do some shopping & dinner!
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow!

Christmas Cardinal

Hello fellow stampers & friends!
Yesterday we had so much fun at the York Stamp Show! I was thinking about going back in today but I really don't have the time too, unforunately. Hubby is home and we have so much to get done in a short amount of time. Tomorrow though for sure I need to make a run to L&L in Ephrata for some stamp supplies that i'm in need of!! :)
Anyways, today I have a card to share with you that is a total case of someone from SCS. Mine is a tad different but not by much. Darleenstamps made a few cards with the SU Bird Punch that just caught my eye and I had to make one of my own! :) I just LOVE the out come of it that i'm sure there will be MANY more made like this! :)
Take a look....

I showed this to Miss Emily last nite and she said this is probably her most favorite yet and I think I have to agree! Very simple & easy to make too!
Christmas Cardinal Card:
Stamps: Seasonal Sentiments (SU Holiday Mini)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Grey Wassail DSP
Accessories: Oval Nestibilities, SU Bird Punch, Martha Stewart Fern Punch, Gold Brads, Ribbon, Sponge, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for me for today! Hopefully I can squeeze a few more updates in before the moving begins this week. I will need my stamp therapy to keep me sane that's for sure! :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a super Sunday!

And on a totally different note...my hubby got home tonight!! All our neighbors and friends hung out in the driveway waiting on him to get home. I'm soooo happy he's home!!
So, now i'm off to spend some time with him and have pizza! :)
I'll be back again tomorrow with something to share! Till then...

Christmas Teddy

Hello fellow stampers & friends!! Hope your all doing well!
Took a bit of a break to start getting some of my house packed up for the move coming next week. Hubby will be coming home this weekend!! I have not seen him in 2 1/2 weeks! Moving will be pretty hard I think after spending 16 years here but I know in time we will be coming back...well not to this house but eventually to another one around this area. I'm sure once we get unpacked and comfy in our new surroundings things will be ok. I'm excited to get back to my stamping on a daily basis once life calms down. This Saturday all the stamp girls will be heading into the York Stamp Convention! WooHoo! Can ya tell i'm really excited! We usually have a blast there. Then we are meeting Miss Emily over at Chili's for some lunch. It will be nice to see the whole group together. Been quite awhile! I'm looking forward to it girls!!
So, today I sat and played with this digi image I had for quite some time. It's from Heather Ellis....she is the creator of all those Pure Innocent images that are so cute! I love this image called Christmas Teddy. Another one made for the Christmas card pile! :)

Ladybug Trick or Treater

Hello fellow stampers & friends!
It's a late post today for sure! I really didn't feel like going into the stamp room today until I saw this digi image over at Pink Cat Studio's. It instantly reminded me of a little girl that got a ladybug outfit this year for Halloween!! I did struggle with making the red work for Halloween and i'm still not sure I like this but I really couldn't make it too scary for a little girl, could I? I printed out the image and colored it with Copic Markers. I used SU's new Spider Web embossing folder on the white piece and added some scrunched up Raven lace under my image then punched out some bats and attached them with glue dots. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set and punched out with the Word Window Punch and layered onto the Modern Label Punch. It's hard to tell but the ladybug wings have Smooch painted on to make them alittle sparkly. Take a look....

Well, that's all for me today! Calling for heavy rain here tomorrow so I may have to be on flood watch around here but I sure hope not. We do need the rain tho!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great evening!

Celebrate the Wonder

Good Tuesday Afternoon!
I'm posting alittle late today! I was happily crafting away around lunchtime then the phone rings and someone needs to come in 20 mins to do an appraisal on the house! Ughhhh! This 20 min notice really is not right! Errrr!! Anyways, this interrupted my crafting time but now i'm able to finish up and get my cards posted.
Yep, i'm still on a Christmas card roll! It'll be here before ya know so i'm cranking them out! :) I used a Forever Friends bear stamp again today. This is one that I actually own and use it quite a bit! I didn't gussie it up too much. I'm trying to keep them as flat as possible so mailing them doesn't become an issue. Take a look...

My pics are alittle dark today. It's kinda sunny one minute and cloudy the next and windy as all get out here so I decided not to take my pics outside or they would have been on the ground more than on the deck railing! LOL
I really like and hope you do too!!
Well, that's all for me today! I have deviled eggs to get made for our Biggest Loser TV party tonight and supper to get made for the girls. Kelsey made it back to school today....lookin good & feeling good too! :)
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

Christmas Bear

Happy Monday fellow stamper & friends!!
Hope your Monday is off to a good start! It's raining here today, finally! Since it is raining i've declared today a "PJ Day"! Kelsey is home from school today still fighting her cold and i'm happy to say that she is feeling & looking better! I've got my pork & saurkraut in the oven for supper so it's was time for me to sneak off to the stamp room a bit to play! I don't know what has gotten into me lately but I am having so much fun making handstamped projects again! :)
The card I made today is another Christmas card that I can add to my pile. The image is from Forever Friends which I was so happy that my stampin friend, Tammi from over at Tropical Dreams sent me last year! Thanks, Tammi! I just LOVE these bears and i'm glad to be putting them to good use these days!! :) Wonder if there are any new Forever Friends images for this upcoming holiday??
Take a look...

Not the traditional Christmas colors but being a crafter sometimes ya just have to change things up! :) Hope ya like!!
Well, i'm off to do more crafting while watching the rain come down! Oh what a welcome sight!!

More Sweet Goodies

Happy Sunday, fellow stampers & friends!
Hope your Sunday is going well.
Last nite I was able to get out and pick up more Halloween treats to use for my project today! I bought these little brown bags over at an Amish store probably back before Christmas and when I was cleaning out I found them. I decided these would make some really cute Hallween Treat Bags. I'm not sure if you can see or not but the bags were stamped all over with a little spider stamp that came from the Micheal's $1 bin years ago. I took my ink pad and rubbed it all over the bags to give it a dirty look. Attached my little witch with a gold brad right above the clear see thru window. Added my Happy Halloween sentiment with a pop dot and glued on the bow. Take a look....

I filled my bags with lots of yummy treats to give to some special trick or treaters come Halloween time! I'm so happy with how these turned out...I know i'll be making more eventually! :)
Well, I think rain is on our doorstep. The sky is getting cloudy pretty quick so I think i'm gonna go heat up left overs for supper and maybe grab a quick nap. Cloudy/rainy days are always good for naps!! :)
Thank you for stopping by! Hope your having a great day!!

A Merry Christmas

Hello fellow stampers & friends!!
Happy Saturday to ya! It's a beautiful sunny day here today in PA. Still alittle warm for my liking but I think cooler weather is on it's way according to the weather man! haha!
Last nite I spent sometime in my stamp room but not doing anything creative. I rearranged my room back to the way it use to be so I could find things when I needed them. I did not take any pics to share but maybe in the coming days I will before I have to pack it all up to move. I'm so happy with it now and hopefully in my new place I can set it up in the same manner!
So, today I started doing some laundry then came into my room and started coloring these Bells & Boughs images. It's a new set from SU and I fell for it as soon as I saw it. I'm usually not one for vintage things but over the last several years of hanging out with Pam I kinda started liking the look of older more vintage looking things! Thanks Pam!! I was ooohhhhing & ahhhhing when I got these finished. I added the Vintage Brads to the one and some old lace on the other. I totally love it!! :)

I hope you like them! 2 more made in the box of Christmas cards for this year! LOL I'm way behind so I better get these cards cranking....Christmas is 3 months away today! Yikes!
Well, that's all for me for now! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

I wanted to make more Halloween goodies but I am out of treats but hope to pick some up over the weekend. So, I moved on to Christmas because it is my favorite holiday!! :)
Take a look....

Why is it in the middle of a heatwave that i'm thinking about Christmas? It was 94 here today in PA. so maybe i'm thinking of cooler days ahead afterall....aren't we into fall now???
Well, earlier today I was talking to Vicki from MO and I told her i'd take a pic of my Copic marker collection, so here ya go!!! LOL I will count them later and let ya know how many I have! :)

Well, that's all for me today, folks! After supper I hope to do more stamping since i'm on a roll. Kelsey is in bed nursing a sore throat and today hubby got sent to Oklahoma to a plant there to work the weekend. He keeps getting sent farther and farther away from me! :(

Time 4 Halloween Treats

Hello!!
Hope your all having a great day!
Today was a happy one for me! I was so looking forward to spending my day in my stamp room since I haven't done any crafting in a long time. I recently got some SU goodies and decided today was the day to get some Halloween Treat Bags rolling since Halloween will be here before ya know it! It was really hard getting started. I messed up so many things at first that ended up in my trash can. LOL I guess I was pretty rusty afterall but once I got the hang of it...it was smooth sailing!!
Take a peek....

I'm loving these cute little trick or treaters in the new set called Fangtastic! I also threw in an oldie too...Just Flying By! It's an old SU set that I have always loved but don't have. I was lucky enough to be able to borrow it from my stampin buddy, Nan! Thanks, Nan!! :)
Then I used the new SU Spider Web Embossing Folder on the toppers too and what a difference it made. It's just too cool!!!
Well, that's all for me today! I'll be back tomorrow so stay tuned!! :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Quick Update:

Hello there!!
Hope your all doing well. I wanted to pop on here quick and give you an update as to what's going on that I have not posted on here in quite some time.
Shawn left a week and a half ago to start his new job in Missouri. None of us handled it very well. We found out that the seperation was heartbreaking!! He came home the first weekend because we had alot of things to take care for the sale of the house but not only that we had a Scion camping trip planned that we did not want to miss. Saturday, we packed up and went to Knoebels to pitch a tent, sit by the campfire and just shoot the breeze with our car club friends. We had a great time! I can't wait to come back to PA to camp there again!! :)
Below is a few pics that were taken there....

Today I packed the hubby up and shipped him back out to MO. It will be a few more weeks till we see him again. He is currently staying at a hotel not even 5 mins from work. I feel bad because Winky is loaded with his winter tires, blankets, pillows & his suitcases. He has 2 appointments this week to see houses that are for rent. I'm praying he gets one or the other because the man needs somewhere to hang his hat that isn't gonna cost him an arm & a leg! LOL I will be sure to keep you updated as I know!!
I have alot to do in the next couple of weeks but I also hope to get some time in my stamp room too! I just got a bunch of nice stuff that is screaming to be used. I have a few Halloween idea's floating around in my head that i'd like to get workin on. Maybe tomorrow!!! I'll surprise ya!! :)
So, that's all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great Wednesday!!
~Wendy

Back from Missouri

Hello friends!!
Last week we made the trip to Joplin, Missouri once again to look for a place to live. This time we took Kelsey along so she could get the feel of Missouri. I have to say that I enjoyed myself so much more this time than I did when we were there in January! It was very hot & humid there but nothing we haven't had here in PA. We had very early flights out & back. Here are a few pictures of our flight...
Shawn waiting for take off from Detroit, Michigan....
Kelsey & I....
While we were out there I made plans ahead of time to meet up with 2 awesome stampers, Lois Henderson & Vicki Burdick. We met one day for a late lunch at the Olive Garden and stayed 3 hours just having a great time!! Those ladies are the nicest & most funniest i've ever met!

The 2 pictures below are a sweet little gift the girls gave me. Ohh the handstamped tag was so cute!! Inside the basket was some very good cookies & a jar of homemade peach butter and the cutest little gingerbread man that i've added to my collection of gingerbread men!! I got the basket home in one piece and hated to open it because it was so pretty! Everything inside was so yummy!! The peach butter is just about all that's how good it was! Ladies, thank you so much, I love this!!! :)

After a few days of having a realtor dragging us all over the place we still have not made any decisions on a house in MO. I now have my eye on one that I seen the last nite we were there but was unable to do a showing on it. I have a feeling we'll be making another quick trip out there soon to view a few more places because Shawn only has 3 more weeks until he is suppose to start out there. We went to his job & met his boss and also got to see what they make out there. It was very interesting!
Well, i'm hoping to soon fiind my way back to my stamp table. I hear it calling my name! LOL Maybe tomorrow!!
For now I need to run to the store to grab a few things before the rain starts!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Gingerbread Tablets

Hello! Happy Monday, friends!

Hope your all having a good day so far! I had a very productive day yesterday in my stamp room. I promised Christmas goodies and that's what i'm sharing with you today! I was out last week and picked up a pack of tablets and had them cut in half so I could make these little tablets that I just love!!! They make great little gifts too!

Since i'm a gingerbread freak I went looking for my SU Gingerbread House set that is an oldie but a goodie in my eyes! Then I used the sentiment from the Sweet Season set to go with my gingerbread. I punched right under my sentiment with a Martha Stewart Gingerbread punch. I did not add a whole lot of embellishments to this because the paper is very busy.
Hope ya like....

Tablet Details:

Stamps: Gingerbread House, Sweet Season
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Bravo Burgundy, PTI Select White, DSP from American Crafts
Accessories: Martha Stewart Gingerbread Punch, Silver Brads, Baja Breeze Ribbon, Bravo Burgundy Ribbon, 2 Sided Tape

That's all for today!
I'm off to grab some groceries, pick up Kelsey's graduation pictures and finish up some laundry. Thanks for stopping by & have a marvelous Monday!!

Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday, friends!
Hope your all doing well. I apologize for such a long absence in between updates. Things have been busy beyond belief the last few weeks. I have been cleaning, painting, throwing things away, preparing for a yard sale and getting our house ready to go on the market for sale. This past Wednesday the For Sale sign went in the front yard & the lock box on the door. I'm not gonna say that i'm happy about it but i'm trying (and it's very hard) to be supportive of hubby wanting this change. So far, no bites on the house. We have decided that Kelsey & I will stay behind until she graduates in June then join him in Missouri at that point. I'm not one for handling change very well and at this point there are so many unknowns that scare me. One day at a time....
So, yesterday I tried getting my butt back into my stamp room. So many changes went on in my stamp room as well, it took me forever just to spit out 1 card. LOL My neighbor requested a lighthouse retirement card so this is what I got accomplished.....

After a few hours I was able to accomplish what I set out to do. I'm happy with it and hope she will be too!
Card Details:
Stamps: Lighthouse & inside saying from Hero Arts, Sentiment on front from SU
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Buckaroo Blue, Kraft, PTI Select White
Accessories: Labels 4 Nesties, Lg Oval & Scalloped Oval Punches, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Mat Pack & Paper Piercer, Buckaroo Grosgrain, 2 Sided Tape, Dimensionals
Today it's looking to be a wash out! Rain is forecasted for today & tomorrow so i'm gonna take full advantage of being inside and try my hand at some Christmas goodies. If I get something accomplished...i'll be sure to get it posted!! :)
Thanks for stopping by & have a super Sunday!! ~Wendy
