Happy Thanksgiving Eve

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

The day before Thanksgiving is always a busy day for most people. I have my bread out to make filling for the turkey and I already have my stuffed peppers ready to bake for supper tonight! I'm so excited for Thanksgiving tomorrow. I can already smell that turkey baking away in the oven! YUM! Last evening I went and had my hair colored and rushed home to see the Dancing with the Stars finale, which by the way was SO GOOD! I really enjoyed watching! I also had a chance to get the icing on my Pumpkin Rolls that I ran out of time on before going to my hair appointment. Most of my work is done now. I do have to go box up my goodies for the craft show but that shouldn't take too long!

So today I wanted to share another project I made for Thanksgiving. I got the tutorial from Angie over at Chic N Scratch. So easy to make! Here is the link to her tutorial.

These pouches actually hold a good bit of candy! I was going to fill with the Blessing Mix but I did not have the stuff to make it. I filled them with a variety of fall themed Hershey's candies instead. I sold a bunch so that make's me happy!

Thanksgiving Pouches:

Stamps: Lighthearted Leaves
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede, Tangelo Twist, Cajun Craze, Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede, Tangelo Twist, Cajun Craze, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Into the Woods DSP
Accessories: Simply Score Board, Hole Punch, Various Ribbon, Scallop Circle & Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid

Before I go I would like to wish you all a very happy & blessed Thanksgiving tomorrow!

I am looking forward to spending the day with my family and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Dog Show and football afterwards! Maybe even a nap in there somewhere!
Hope you have a nice holiday!

Thanks for stopping by today & have a wonderful day!

Merry Monday Challenge 181

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
It got really cold here yesterday! It almost feels like winter which by the way i'm SO not ready for!

Today over at Merry Monday, we have a new challenge for you to help get those Christmas cards made! Lesley is our hostess this week...so let's get to it!

This stamp, Dove of Peace was my first Christmas set from the Holiday Mini Catalog this year. I just love this bird and the sentiment and had to have it! Surprisingly, this is the first time I inked it up! It stamps beautifully, too!

I went with Island Indigo for my blue color. Unfortunately, I am out of Night of Navy cardstock and I bet it would be beautiful stamped in that color! I used the Falling Snow Embossing Folder for texture. After I had my first card made I ended up making a set of 5 for my show! So pretty!

Loved the challenge this week, Lesley!

I hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other ladies have created this week! Such beauties! I also hope you will play along with us. I can't wait to see all the blue & white in the gallery!

Merry Monday Challenge #181 Card:

Stamps: Dove of Peace
Ink: Island Indigo
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Whisper White
Accessories: Falling Snow Embossing Folder, Rhinestones, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Hershey Hugs Box

Hello & Happy Sunday, Everyone!

Hope your enjoying a nice Sunday!

I took the day off from any thing related to my craft show. My hands are bothering me and my back isn't happy either. Taking advantage of a relaxing day watching football and enjoying my family & dear doggies!

Today I wanted to show you a cute treat box that I made for my shows. I just love these!
I purchased the boxes at L&L Rubber Stamps in Ephrata, PA. and filled them with Hershey Hugs. I wrapped them with Merry Moments DSP and a stamped & punched out a tree from the Festival of Trees stamp set & matching punch. I love the stamp sets that have a matching punch because it makes things so much easier! I added a sentiment and a little red bow to finish them. I made 20 of these for my show next Saturday. I am just about ready for it. Just need to price my card sets and get the card rack ready. I will be SO relieved when it's all done and I can breathe....

That's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

York Peppermint Patties

Hello & Happy Friday!

So glad the weekend is upon us!
We have a busy schedule the next few days but most of all this is my very last weekend to get things finalized for my show! Kelsey is coming over today and staying for the next week or so. I'm excited to spend some time with her as we have many things on our "to do list" before Thanksgiving. One day we will be making Clear Toy Pops for the shows and another day we will be in the kitchen baking Pumpkin Rolls & Pumpkin Pies for our Thanksgiving Day!  And sometime in the mix we are heading out to do some shopping as long as she feels up to it. Recently she has gone thru a battery of testing for Lupus, Lymes Disease & Thyroid to rule all those problems out and has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. She has started on meds and seems to be doing pretty good. She is scheduled to go back to work this week after being off 2 months. It's been tough but i'm glad to see her pushing thru and getting back to some sort of normal.

Today I am sharing another yummy treat I whipped up. I recently found the York Peppermint Patties at the grocery store and purchased 3 bags. Since they are not in the rounded wrappers anymore I wasn't sure what to do with them but I am a huge Peppermint Patty person. Love them! This is what I did with them and I did not want to cover the pretty wrappers on them.

I'm sorry for the really bright pictures. I probably should not have took the pictures in the lightbox. The lights are very bright!
I put 3 peppermint patties in a cello bag and made a topper for them with some patterned paper that I picked up at JoAnn's. The sentiments is from Hero Arts and I added a Jolee's stickers to them for a bit of sparkle. I think these will sell pretty fast!

What do you think?

That's all for me today!
My craft table is waiting!
Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific weekend!

Candy Filled Container

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Such a rainy, dreary day here in PA. today so I went downstairs and took photo's of my craft show items to share over the month of December. While taking pictures I found this Crystal Light container that I decorated for Christmas. It's adorable!! There's just something about that crazy moose that makes me smile!!

I used a Riley & Company image for this. Riley & Company is probably another of my favorite stamp companies! There images are too cute!
I made a few of these up for little gifts or stocking stuffers. They were a big hit last year! I filled them with Hershey's Minatures Candies.

Candy Container:

Stamps: Elf Riley
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Real Red, Garden Green, Whisper White, Nordic Noel DSP
Accessories: MS Jumbo Snowflake Punch, Glue Pen, Glitter, Wide Oval Punch, Green Rhinestone, Tombow Liquid

I enjoy making these! So fun & festive!

Ornamental Pines Card Set

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Just a quick post then heading off to bed.

I was at my stamp table most of the day. I did not play along with any challenges since I had a few things to get wrapped up. I made 30 gift cards and 3 sets of cards.
I think I had enough for one day! LOL

Here are a set of cards I whipped up. I love this Ornamental Pine stamp set from last year. I don't think I will ever part with it!

I think that pinecone looks real, don't you? I have another set started using this same set but I ran out of cardstock. I will share them once my Stampin Up order arrives and I can put the rest of my cards together. I hate having to wait a week for my stamp orders to arrive.

Grateful for You Tags

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Today was craft show drop off for my one show! It is always a big relief when I hand my stuff over to someone else. At that point I know I can breathe a little bit more. I now have 2 weeks to finish up the rest. I'm very pleased with the items I have for sale this year!

Yesterday I did my housework. I pushed myself to get everything done so I would have time to do some errands afterwards. Today I hurt pretty badly. Did not sleep last night because I couldn't get comfortable. My back just plain & simple, hurt. Today is not better. I delivered my goodies to the craft show this morning, came home and right back in my pj's! Spending the day watching football and dozing off. No crafting for this girl. I really need a down day.....

I am sharing a very quick treat I made up for Thanksgiving. My one customer loves having something to give her family for their Thanksgiving dinner. I had a bunch of leftover candy from Trick or Treat night so I made up these candy bags. I used A Little Something from the Holiday Mini. It coordinates with the Pillow Box Thinlit.

I whipped 10 of these up in about 30 minutes!

Thanksgiving Candy Bags:

Stamps: A Little Something
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Crushed Curry
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Hole Punch, Early Espresso Twine, Medium Cello Bags, Tombow Liquid

Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific Sunday!

So Thankful M&M Sticks

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Today I wanted to share my Thanksgiving M&M Sticks I made. I did not make very many this year. I think these went together rather quickly and would make a nice place setting treat for anyone's Thanksgiving table.

I used a Project Life stamp set from last year's 2014 Holiday Mini Catalog called Holiday Cheer. It is loaded with cute little sentiments to easily whip up tags for any occasion. I stamped them out on Whisper White cardstock then punched them out with the Wide Oval Punch. I punched a hole to string my twine thru and was quickly able to get these made. I have customers who love these M&M Sticks and ask for them at every holiday! Just wish M&M would have more options for holidays in different colors. Oh well...maybe one day!

Thanksgiving M&M Sticks:

Stamps: Project Life Holiday Cheer-2014
Ink: Early Espresso, Hello Honey
Cardstock: Whisper White
Accessories: Wide Oval Punch, Early Espresso Twine, 1 X 8 Cello Bags

Happy Anniversary Card Set

Hello & Happy Friday!

So glad the weekend is upon us!
Today I will finish up inventory & pricing on craft show items for delivery on Sunday. I'm so glad that things went as planned and i'm not rushing around too badly. I do have one more thing i'd like to make for that show but if I do not get to it I will be alright with that.
I haven't done much crafting this week with this cold & cough but my hands are still pretty stiff and achy. Once Christmas is out of the way I am going to give them a rest for a bit. Sometime after the holidays we are going to start a major home project of painting inside. I'm not looking forward to that!

Anyways, today I wanted to share a card set I made for my customer. She asked for Anniversary cards and this is what I made her.

I pulled out a retired pack of paper called Afternoon Picnic as i'm trying to use up so much in old paper that I have on hand. I kept within the same colors that the patterned paper has in it and used a new stamp set, Timeless Love, for the sentiment. I loved how vintage the paper made the cards look! I added a Crushed Curry bow with a glue dot and that was it. Very quick & easy!

Anniversary Card Set:

Stamps: Timeless Love
Ink: Pear Pizzazz
Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla, Afternoon Picnic DSP
Accessories: Oval & Scallop Oval Nestibilities, Crushed Curry 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dot, 2 Sided Tape

Also very mail friendly!

Just want to give an update on my back appointment on Wednesday. Met the new pain doctor! She surprisingly lives very close to me. She did prescribe my pain meds and gave me some strengthening exercises to help with my balance issues and to help strengthen my back muscles. Nothing intense. I will return to her on an "as needed basis" for injections. She explained to me about my arthritis and said it's pretty much a life sentence...not much can be done for it. She said I have ALOT of it in my spine but there are ways to ease it and the water therapy is one way. I'm hoping soon to start going to a local pool in the evenings. I know it will help, greatly!

And Shawn also had his tooth repaired. It was cracked pretty deep. The dentist filled the crack with some bonding agent and put in a new filling. She also fixed a tooth on the other side that needed a filling replaced (which he was scheduled for the day after Thanksgiving). He was so funny afterwards because his mouth, tongue and jaw was numbed up for quite sometime. I think till we went to bed it was back to normal and thankfully he did not have too much discomfort once the numbing wore off. Yesterday he said everything felt pretty good and that's a good thing after seeing him miserable for a few days!

Well, that's all I have to share today!
I have to run out to the store later, just hoping this crazy wind soon settles down. I thought for sure when I left Gigi & Bailee out earlier that they were going to blow away! LOL

Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!

Reason for the Season Card Set

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today I am going to share a pack of Christmas cards that I made for my upcoming craft show. It's going to be a very busy day and there is no time for crafting. I have an appointment this afternoon to see Pain Management. They called me last week informing me that my pain management doctor left. I really liked that guy but it explains why I never heard anything back after I had the Branch Block done for my Facet Arthritis in September. Apparently he went out on medical leave and one day called and said he was not returning. I'm still floored and sad. I felt like this doctor really understood my issue with my back arthritis and other issues. Anyways, today I am seeing a new doctor there to re-evaluate my case and prescribe my pain medicine. I am on my last refill.

After that my hubby will be heading across town to his dentist. Sunday he bit down on something that put him thru the roof. Yesterday he finally had enough with the pain and called them. They did prescribe something to help his pain till he gets there today so I really hope they can take care of that for him.

We were suppose to go to a funeral this evening. My dear friend, Deb, lost her brother, Jerry, last week. We were in such shock when he passed. I'm not sure now with these back to back appointments whether we will make it but if we don't I hope she knows we will be thinking of her and her family.  My heart hurts for them. Her family is very near & dear to our hearts...

So before I head off to get ready I wanted to share these cards.
They are a case from the Holiday Mini Catalog. This card is what sold me on the stamp set!

I stamped each of those poinsettia in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers. That was a killer on my hands but I SO love the outcome! I used a Gold Metallic Doily, some Garden Green Ribbon and Gold Cord to finish this up! So pretty!!!

Reason for the Season Card Set:

Stamps: Reason for the Season
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Gold Metallic Doilies, Garden Green Ribbon, Gold Cord, Glue Dot, Tombow Liquid

That's all for me today!
Hubby will soon be in from work so I better go get my butt in gear!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Color Challenge 556

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

What a rainy, dreary day here in PA and with this cough...it's definitely a PJ day for me!
I really hope this cough soon leaves me! I am really bothered with this hack constantly. Shawn told me to hit the Yukon Jack bottle but with taking pain meds, I don't think that's a good thing.

So, I popped downstairs this afternoon to get working on my Inventory Paper for my craft show. I first checked out today's Color Challenge from over at SCS and soon realized that I was chosen as the favorite last week from my friend, Mary Martinez!

This is the card she chose:

Thank you, Mary! Made my day!

So, I played along quickly with today's Color Challenge 556.

Here are the colors:

Tempting Turquoise, Real Red & Primrose Petals
with a dessert option of using a tag on our cards..

I passed on dessert....

I pulled out a Penny Black snowman stamp called Warm & Cold that is a very loved stamp in my collection. I think I am going to make a card set for my shows with this card since I love it!
What do you think?

Color Challenge 556 Card:

Stamps: Warm & Cold Snowman from Penny Black, Good Greetings sentiment
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Neenah White, Primrose Petals
Accessories: Stamp a Ma Jig, Rhinestones, 2 Sided Tape

Quick, fun & cute, don't ya think?

Ok, now back to the Inventory Paper!

Under the Weather....

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to pop in to say hello and let you know I am still dealing with this cold that my dear wonderful hubby shared with me last week. The coughing is the worst!

I took this week off from Merry Monday since I was not much in the crafting mode but I hope soon to get back at it. Already on my 3rd bottle of Mucenex Severe Cough & Congestion so I hope something soon gets better.

In the meantime I will share a picture I took of Bailee watching out the window on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning....

She is deep in thought watching the leaves fall...

I hope to be back soon!

Merry Monday Challenge 178

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween weekend!

I'm sick! My hubby graciously gave me his cold that he's been battling with for the last week. I really did not want it as I have SO much on my plate to get finished up. Hopefully the meds will kick in and help to shorten it so I can keep up with craft show stuff.

Today over at Merry Monday we have a new challenge for you!
Bonnie is our hostess this week and she has a terrific challenge for us!
Let's get to it!

I pulled out my Impression Obsession Dies for my card. I have had these dies since last summer and never used them! I know, shame on me!

I hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog and see what the ladies have created this week! Such awesome idea's to help you get those Christmas cards made!

Lighthearted Leaves

Hello & Happy Sunday!!

Can you believe that today is November 1st? The days are just flying by!

Did everyone have a fun Halloween? Ours was pretty low keyed since hubby is still dealing with a cold. Kelsey has been here visiting for the last few days and I have enjoyed having her here. The doggies have enjoyed her company too!

Today I just wanted to share a set of cards I made up with the Lighthearted Leaves set that is in the SU Holiday Mini Catalog! This set stole my heart and I really LOVE the sayings that comes in it! I did not use any sayings on these because this is a set for a customer request. She likes them without sayings inside & out so she can use them for whatever she needs!

Lighthearted Leaves Card Set

Stamps: Lighthearted Leaves
Ink: Cajun Craze
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
Accessories: 2 Sided Tape

This set of stamps is the Photopolymer type. At first I was not a big fan of them but in the last year they have become a favorite! I like being able to see where you are going to stamp with them since they are clear/see thru. I will be using this set for Thanksgiving cards since I was drawn in with the sayings but for now I kept it quite simple and very mail friendly! My customer loved these and so did I!!

That's all I have for today!
Heading outside shortly to take down my Halloween decorations and get them packed away for another year.

Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific day!
