Greeting Card Kids

Hello & Happy Sunday!

I know it's been a week since I last posted. Life has been crazy to say the least!
We returned back to Joplin this past Tuesday with my son in tow! That has brought on alot of challenges I have not had to deal with in a long time. He had back surgery last year after we moved to MO and in my opinion it did not go well. He is more dependent on someone to be around to help him now than he was a year ago. He was born with Cerebral Palsy and over the last few years his spine started to curve. Last year he decided since he is 24, not to move to MO with us and shortly after to have the spine surgery. Before the surgery he was a little more independent than what he is now. I'm finding myself helping him with almost any task that needs to be done from the bathroom, showering to just getting in & out of the Lazy Boy. He's not able to put weight on his feet since the surgery and lifting him is bothering my back. He's done months of physical therapy since the surgery but he still is not able to apply pressure on his feet to stand. It's a bit frustrating but we'll get thru it!

So, today I wanted to get back to sharing something stamp related. I made this card right before we went back to PA for vacation. I used Vicki's stamp set Greeting Card Kids for this! I know she just love's this set!! :)

It's great to see your cards again, and I'm glad you made it back safe and sound. I'm so sorry your son's surgery made matters worse, that has to be so difficult for both you and he to deal with, but somehow we always manage to get through it all. Prayers and heartfelt wishes to you both. Take good care!

I love these images too! Had them on my WishRAK list at SCS since they first came out, but had no luck receiving any yet. Keeping my fingers crossed though. Really like the look of the doubled-up eyelet punch border. I'll have to give that a try.
