Poinsettia HB

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

So sorry for the late evening post today!
I put up my Christmas tree in the living room this morning & the day got away from me.
I thought I would do that chore since nothing else was going on and then on Friday it will be
one less thing I have to do. Who knew a Christmas tree would be so time consuming!
I have a chore list a mile long for this week since Thanksgiving is right in the middle of it. Pumpkin Pies & Pumpkin Rolls await me.

Anyways, today I have a card to share with you that was made for Audrey last week.
She ordered 8 birthday cards for the rest of this month (November) and then 2 for the start of December. That would equal out to 2 packs of 5 cards. The 2 I made for December using the Ringed with Love DSP from last year's SaleABRation offering. I am trying to backtrack and use up some of my older stash.

Card Details:

Stamps: Beautiful Birthday (retired)
Ink: Evening Evergreen
Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Evening Evergreen, Basic White, Ringed with Love DSP (retired SaleABRation 2022)
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Evening Evergreen In Color Jewels (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The font on the birthday stamp is so elegant!

Baby's 1st Thanksgiving

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

Yesterday we had a fun day out doing a little Christmas shopping. The weather was so delightful! Sunshine and 70 made for a beautiful day!

Today I am sharing 2 cards made for Audrey's 2 new great granddaughters that were born in the last few months. These cards are for Baby's 1st Thanksgiving and I used the Pick of the Patch bundle to make them.

Pick of the Patch was perfect for these cards with the different sized pumpkins. I printed out the sentiment on the computer and added it to the cards. This reminded me of making my own DSP which is always fun! She loved them!

Card Details:

Stamps: Pick of the Patch, Sentiment computer generated
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Cajun Craze
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Basic White
Accessories: Scalloped Contour Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Stylish Shapes Dies, Linen Thread, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Today is another busy day!
Shawn is off again and has the water company coming in to replace our meter and also the furnace people to give our furnace a once over. He noticed last weekend the one gasket is leaking water so that needs to be looked at. I think we may get a couple rain showers this afternoon which we so badly need. I am going to make a pot of sausage potato soup for supper and do some laundry. Maybe sometime I can get to my stamp table to play a little but we will see.

Stamp Day w/ Friends Card # 5

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Going to be a busy day as my hubby is off and we are gonna run some errands.

Yesterday he had a return appointment with the orthopedic doctor. This time he saw a surgeon and not a Physician's Assistant. Since Shawn is still having issues with that knee the guy went over the MRI very detailed and saw nothing other than the MCL strain. And he said that it can take several weeks to months for those to heal. He pressed around his knee then said....do you have any back issues. And Shawn replied that at one of his trips to Urgent Care (since July 2023) he had a back x-ray which revealed he had a pinched nerve. So he pulled that up on the screen and checked it out and showed us. BINGO, right there is why his knee is still giving him grief as it's all related to his back. He said to us, you don't need to be seeing me, you need a back/pain specialist!! All these months and that Physician's Assistant kept telling us it was just his knee.
Now we wait to get another MRI on his back and go from there. He said most likely he will need to get an injection of steroids. I have been down that road several times for my back so hopefully it will help him!

So, let's get back to some cards, shall we?!

I have card # 5 to share from Saturday's Stamp Day. This one uses a retired set called Autumn Leaf Prints from 2005.

Card Details:

Stamps: Autumn Leaf Prints (retired 2005), Lighthearted Leaves (saying retired 2015)
Ink: Soft Suede (retired), More Mustard (retired), Pool Party
Cardstock: Soft Suede (retired), More Mustard (retired), Very Vanilla, Spice Cake DSP (retired 2012)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Square Layering Framelits (retired), Pool Party Ribbon, Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This one was Miss Emily's favorite card out of the 5.
I loved it too! The colors are perfect for Fall.

Stamps Day w/ Friends Card # 3

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I have card #3 to share with you from my recent Stamp Day w/ Friends get together.
This card uses the beautiful All About Autumn DSP and a sentiment from Northwoods Rubber Stamps. Not quite sure why Stampin Up! did not have any Thanksgiving sayings this year so I dug into my stash and used what I had on hand.

Card Details:

Stamps: Northwoods Rubber Stamps
Ink: Pecan Pie
Cardstock: Thick Very Vanilla, Very Vanilla, Pecan Pie, All About Autumn DSP
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Square Layering Framelits (retired), Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This one was a really quick card to put together and everything is flat for easy mailing.

Yesterday I planned on getting a good start on my Christmas treats but the day had other idea's for me. By the time I got to my stamp table our power went out and I was left sitting in the dark in the basement. Supper was even late due to the power outage. I'm going to try again today and hope there are no issues.

Stamp Day w/ Friends Card # 2

 Hello & Happy Monday!

Today I want to share card #2 with you from my Stamp Day get together this past Saturday. This card uses the same paper & the Autumn Leaves Dies.

Another beauty of a card for Thanksgiving....I love these colors!
I would have never thought to pair Moody Mauve with Pecan Pie but they work so well in the DSP! My sentiment is from the retired Hand Penned Holidays.

Card Details:

Stamps: Hand Penned Holidays (retired)
Ink: Pecan Pie
Cardstock: Moody Mauve, Pecan Pie, Very Vanilla, All About Autumn DSP. Oxidized Copper Paper
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Autumn Leaves Dies, Moody Mauve Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love pairing the old stuff with the new to create a whole new look!
This card is the perfect example of that.

Stamp Day w/ Friends Card # 1

 Hello & Happy Sunday, Everyone!

I hope your enjoying a relaxing Fall weekend!

Today I am sharing card #1 from yesterday's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together.
This year Stampin Up! gave us this beautiful Autumn Leaves stamp set with coordinating dies and a very pretty pack of 6x6 All About Autumn DSP. This paper has been a hot commodity and hard to keep in stock. After several backorder issues they have finally retired it so I hope you were able to snag a pack of it! It is the most pretty paper with Fall scenes & a copper foil print on the opposite side. At my Stamp Day we used a few different pieces of this paper and here is the first card we made...

We first started out with our Pretty Peacock cardbase and we used the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks on. I used the leaf mask and we used a Blending Brush to swirl on Pretty Peacock ink. I was never a fan of using masks but over the years I have come to love using them simply because they add some much texture to a card. Once we did that first step we started to put our cards together. Then we stamped our leaves with Mossy Meadow & Pretty Peacock on our Deckled Rectangle Very Vanilla cardstock. We stamped our sentiment which is from the So Sincere stamp set with Pretty Peacock ink. I must say that I am thrilled beyond words that Stampin Up! brought back Pretty Peacock this past year as it was always a favorite color! Next we adhered our foil leaves that I diecut from the Autumn Leaves Dies using the Oxidized Copper Foil Paper and then added our sentiment over top with 2 Dimensionals. We glued the Deckled Rectangle panel down to our cardbase and lastly added our Brushed Metallic Dots to compliment out foil papers. The inside which I did not take a photo of says, Happy Thanksgiving with a Pretty Peacock leaf stamped beside it. This one turned out so pretty and the girls loved it!

Card Details:

Stamps: Autumn Leaves (Million Dollar Achiever Set), So Sincere (Million Dollar Achiever Set)
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Very Vanilla, All About Autumn DSP, Oxidized Copper Foil Paper
Accessories: Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks, Autumn Leaves Dies, Deckled Rectangle Dies, Brushed Metallic Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It's always a great time when I get to see my girls and make some cards!

Merriest Trees Birthday Gift

 Good Morning & Happy Saturday!

I have a crazy busy day ahead starting with a haircut appointment then home for a shower and get ready for my Stamp Day w/ Friends get together at 12:30. At some point we have to go pick up Shady since Kelsey is working a VERY long day at the restaurant. I hate for him to be home by himself for that long amount of time. Atleast here he can run the yard and have someone home with him. We decided on Thai takeout for dinner tonight and by then I will be ready to relax and watch tonight's new Christmas movie on Hallmark. I have been slacking on watching them the last few weekends.

The project I am sharing with you today was a birthday gift I got for my friend, Cindy!
She has been spoiling me the last 2 years with a bunch of Rae Dunn Halloween things which I just loved. Her birthday is right before Halloween and I thought about picking up a bunch of cute stuff at my local Home Goods and sending her a birthday box to surprise her. This is what I got for her...

I collected all things trees since I did not see much Halloween and I wasn't sure what she already had. I found the oven mitts and looked for anything with trees on to match the theme. I found the kitchen towels then the ceramic Christmas tree mug. At the checkout line I found the little ceramic Christmas tree ornament and surprise...the color fit right in! Once I collected all those tree items I wanted to make a card to send with it. I pulled out the Merriest Trees bundle to create my card along with some A Walk in the Forest DSP. I wrote her a note saying that this was probably the oddest birthday gift she ever got but I hope that it was a good one! She replied....She LOVED it! If you did not know by now, I am that girl that loves all things matchy match and color coordinated!

I also picked up a few extra goodies this year that I want to fancy up with stamps, ink & paper and mail out to special people this year! That gives me so much joy!

So after today i'm sure life is going to get even crazier with working on Christmas treats, cards and gifts! Thankfully, I already have my Stamp Day w/ Friends cards & kits ready to go for our Christmas get together that will be in December.
Phew, i'm tired thinking about it!

Around here we have been really struggling with the time change.
I know it affects the dogs but this year it really affected Shawn & I both. I wish they'd just sign off on this time change thing!! Are you struggling, too?

Ballerina Card

 Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start!
I am all ready for my Stamp Day w/ Friends tomorrow afternoon! WooHoo! The table is set and my stamps & projects are just waiting on my friends now.
Today I am going to take a breather since I feel like I have been going 100 mph in the last week or so!
I have a card to share with you today that Audrey requested for a little girl that is turning 10 soon. She said she loves dancing so I went thru many of my stamps and found this ballerina and got to work.

It's always a pleasure to make a card with stamps that have not seen ink in ages!
Pretty much everything I used is retired.

Card Details:

Stamps: Sparkly Seasons (retired), Artistically Inked
Ink: Crumb Cake, Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Basic White, Pretty in Pink (retired), Pretty in Pink DSP (retired)
Accessories: Playful Alphabet Dies, Pretty in Pink Sheer Ribbon (retired), Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Audrey was pleased with the turn out of this card and said that Molly would love it!

Hot Chocolate Boxes

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today I have a cute little box to share that is used to hold a packet of hot chocolate for the holidays! Marisa from over at Kitchen Table Stamper showed us how to make this box back around Halloween but I thought it would be perfect for Christmas!

Here is the link if your interested in making any!

She has a video tutorial on there as well as a PDF to print if your interested.
I love her tutorials and have learned alot from her! She is so sweet in sharing her idea's and loves to help people stay crafty!

Project Details:

Stamps: Merriest Trees, Framed & Festive (retired)
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Balmy Blue
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Balmy Blue, Basic White, Beary Cute DSP
Accessories: Merriest Trees Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Classic Label Punch (retired), Corner Rounder Punch (retired), Wintry 3D EF (retired), Iridescent Ribbon, Iridescent Pearls, Simply Score Board, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I whipped 4 up in no time and plan to make more once I get more hot chocolate. I used Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate packets. As you can see in the picture I displayed a packet of the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate but I will be using the regular Swiss Miss in these. I wasn't crazy about the Salted Caramel but that's just me. Guess I am just a plain jane when it comes to my hot chocolate or my coffee. I gifted Kelsey with this box of Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate because she likes that kind of stuff!

That's all for today!
I am off to get my day started and get my downstairs cleaned for Saturday's Stamp Day!

Ringed in Nature Christmas

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I hope your all doing well!
I took a week off to get a few things accomplished around the house while my mojo seemed to take a vacation without me! LOL I haven't stamped in over a week so getting back to my stamp table I was a little rusty! While I was taking a break I got some of my Christmas decorations out and got the family room all done. Our ceramic Christmas trees always look so beautiful lit at night but wow, what a job to get them situated and plugged in. So for the next 8 weeks or so we will be enjoying them as much as we can! I will share a picture as it gets closer to the holidays!

Anyways, I got to play after a few days of cleaning & pulling out heavy totes from the storage room. My back was screaming so yesterday I took the day and played with stamps, paper & ink! It felt good to get back to it! I made a pretty pack of Christmas cards using the Ringed with Nature stamp set. I love these so I may just keep them for myself! LOL

I will tell you that this set was ALOT of work!
The poinsettia flowers were all fussy cut and that in itself is a chore, atleast for me.
Lots of diecutting but the end results made me smile!

Card Details:

Stamps: Ringed with Nature
Ink: Real Red, Garden Green
Cardstock: Real Red, Garden Green, Basic White, Gold Foil Paper, Painted Christmas DSP (retired)
Accessories: Tree Rings Hybrid EF & Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Deckled Rectangle Dies, Gold Ribbon (Online Exclusives), Gold Swirls (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Ringed with Nature Bundle came out in last year's 2022 Holiday Mini Catalog and has carried over into this year's 2023 Annual Catalog which I am thrilled about. It covers all the seasons which makes this set wonderful!

So, today I am finishing up stuff for Saturday's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together.
Audrey just called asking for more cards IF I have the time to make them before Thanksgiving. Fingers crossed!

Cheers to the Season

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

A brand new month is now upon us! Happy November!

Halloween night went off without a hitch last night! Kelsey & Shady came over to help hand candy out but we were lucky we had 20 trick or treaters. It was also quite cold so we lasted outside till 7pm then headed inside for some hot chocolate to warm us up! Kelsey stayed till about 8 then we ran her home and I was surprised at all the trick or treaters that were still out! Some of the costumes we saw were cool, too!

Today I have the fun chore of taking down all my Halloween decorations and getting them packed away for another year. Hopefully by day's end I will have my Thanksgiving stuff out which I don't have too much of so shouldn't take long.

I've got a pretty card to share with you today that I was going to use for my next Stamp Day w/ Friends get together but decided not too. This card uses the Cheers to the Season stamp set which has no dies or punch.

The All About Autumn DSP has been a hot commodity this season!
It has been unavailable about 4 or 5 times since September and just this past Monday has come back in stock. This paper is gorgeous! One side has a realistic picture on and the opposite side has a foil mixed in. It's a beauty for sure and cutting into it has made me cringe but I am doing it! This card shows the picture side & also a small strip of the foil paper side. My leaf image is from the new Cheers to the Season stamp set which is a delightful set that can be used for Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years!

Card Details:

Stamps: Cheers to the Season
Ink: Pecan Pie
Cardstock: Pecan Pie, Very Vanilla, Copper Foil Paper (retired), All About Autumn DSP
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Square Layering Framelits (retired), Designer Elements (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Another quick & easy card which seems to be my style anymore but I love that this will mail flat! And that leaf image is just beautiful along with that DSP!

Well that is all for me today!
Coffee time then off to get my Halloween stuff put away!
See you all tomorrow!
